ASIC mining has always been a den of thieves, scam-artists, conmen and bullshitters.

God knows how many people have been ripped off and turned off bitcoin by collapsed, scammy or outright thieving cheats surrounding ASIC mining schemes. Jihan is just the latest King Rat shithead that is at the top of the dung-heap for now ... the sooner people get used to the idea that ASIC miner producers and mining farms are generally a bunch of scumbag fucktards that have never given two shits about bitcoin the sooner we can move ahead on a sound philosophical basis.

Any devs who try to make nice with the miners is setting themselves up for fail ... the miners need to be treated like shit (mostly because they are a bunch of shit) or else they will ruin it.

Even monkeys and babies know to avoid unhelpful, anti-social individuals.
423  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nights Watch by Afrikoin on: April 07, 2017, 01:40:25 AM
I cant believe maxwell has the audacity to call a miner optimization an attack.  Thats what ASIC manufacturers have been doing all along, optimizing miners.

I can't believe you have the audacity to defend those pieces of shit chinese miners. Really the opinion of who cares nothing about bitcoin!

You, Sir, have my full agreement with what was stated.

Will 750 be real or not? I hope so, waiting till there to buy. We're with you Afrikoin!

It all comes down to whether you believe in the tech. If you do, take your coins off exchanges into cold wallets. If you really must gamble a little do it with 1-2% of your stash. Then, relax.

Exactly what I do. The larger I leave in a cold wallet, only 0.5 BTC to trade alts and 0.1 BTC I trade at the exchange...
427  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 06, 2017, 10:49:32 PM
Yup. I was wrong. SegWit has cut a deal with BU. We are going to fork. RIP.

You really are a chaotic one, yesterday you were like "1250 soon, than moon", today you are like "segwit hurr durr, we are doomed". Instead of relying on other people analysis and focusing too much or fundamentals learn some TA.

Newbies gonna be noob. Learn how fast the news in changing. But hey do what you want because I dont care.

york really has disturbances. he already promised he wouldn't play with alts and 2 days later here he was singing how much money he was making on alts...

I am going to hodl from now on guys. Cant predict this price anymore. BU is screwing my mathematical calculations all over today. Rip trading, it was fun while it lasted. Huge profits but also huge losts like today. Now i only have my good old cold storage. I will dump more fiat money in it and keep hodling. Rip easy trade days.  Roll Eyes
Yes for the haters: i got rekt today like you hodlers get rekt earlier this month. But i have to go trough all the stress and switching to shitty altcoins and fiat like some crazy idiot. And for what...

Who sold at the bottom? I saw this mini dip from a mile away. Switched some coins to ethereum. Old story; bitcoin drops , ethereum pumps. Switch back, now i have some more btc and dumped my centralized ethereum token.  Smiley I am glad this trick still works.

Did I miss something?

I think nothing can stop bitcoin now. I surrender. I already said that i never go into fiat again but now i also never go into altcoins again. Whats the point of going into altcoins when even Jihan Wu and a hardfork cant keep the price down?

Again? Once more? Same talk! Take a decision and stand for it, man! Have you ever heard about RESILIENCEHuh

where else is going through what venezuela is?

good luck jimbo, come back stronger & better!

The situation in Venezuela is result of "easy life" the ordinary latin americans generally look for. Here in Brasil the same thing risked to happen four elections in a row when people chose the labor party commanded by Lula and Dilma. The difference is that the entrepreneur class is stronger within politics and Dilma was impeached before things could get out of control, but we were toward the same direction. Still our economy has not recovered from 13 years under labor party rules. Leftists find uneducated people struggling to survive and desperate to get rid from the same entrepreneur class that saved the economy but usually enslaves the population. So promises of easy state-controlled life is happily swallowed and people elects left parties. Venezuela decline started with Hugo Chavez, and now democracy is gone and no hope is left for that population.

Venezuela is the best sky-open laboratory Bitcoin could ever have. It shows how cryptocurrencies will take place in case of economic blackout. I'm from Brasil and we are close watching our neighbor's situation, and Bitcoin has been a relief to people because of the risk of buying physical dollars. More than that, as energy is subsided, it's cheap to mine there, although it's very risky, since govmt has shut down several mining facilities and arrested people with unreal charges...

They catch people because of high electricity usage.

Too bad they don't have Lightning Network yet, they could run a node and not worry about the police.

Actually the charges are because electricity stealing and an unexplained "cyber fraud". Though electricity stealing in some cases is a fake charge, because there was no proof people were not paying the bill...

FINALLY segwit will burn and we will have BIGGER BLOCKS

No worries, Jihan can just fork over to a wonderful, closed-source, buggy-as-hell, unlimited blocksize, fully exploitable (er "optimization-able") blockchain called BU-whatever, and mine it exclusively until his heart's content.

Only problem is, the "economic majority" won't be following.  Sorry.

my dream has been realized.

I'm starting to believe Smeagol is Jihan himself...
432  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 06, 2017, 01:00:27 AM

I'd like to see Jihan facing jail for this, unfortunately he will go off without any major damage except for laying down his name (even more) in the mud.

EDIT: actually Lerner and Timo are the guilty, Jihan only took advantage as a piece of shit he is...

Why would he not take advantage of it?

Because of Morals and Ethics? Nevermind, unfortunately it's not universal consensus.
433  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 06, 2017, 12:39:52 AM
so LTC + Segwit scaling = Triple the price

may we *please* now go ahead already and do BTC + Segwit scaling = Triple the price ?

does that make sense to everyone yet ?

you pesky moon kids shouldn't be asking for positive developments. they know better and what's best for all of us is to sit doing nothing for the rest of eternity.

and here's some fun info

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/63otrp/gregory_maxwell_major_asic_manufacturer_is/

tldr = bitmain has been exploiting a secret power saving advantage that disappears if segwit happens.

behavior explained. when can we wipe these assholes out?

haha. Well, surprise, surprise...

cue a "shit hits the fan" meme in 3...2...

434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 06, 2017, 12:31:00 AM
Jihan and Roger are both the biggest piece of shit i've ever seen, and all those BU fans are all just clueless sheeps.

more than most realised ...

Jihan might be choking on his breakfast reading in china about now ...

435  Bitcoin / Electrum / [RESOLVED]Seed generated by Android version invalid on PC,works on other Android on: April 05, 2017, 11:12:23 PM
I've been warning devs since a few months ago about this bug, although they're insisting seeds generated in any platform should work in any platform.

Truth is that I have Electrum 2.7.18 installed in a disconnected Android device that I use as a cold wallet, but I've tried unsuccessfully to import this wallet to more than one Ubuntu PC and  I receive the same error message: Invalid seed.

In other Android devices it works perfectly.

Seeds generated by Electrum client installed on PC also works on Android.

This almost caused me 6 BTC losses if I hadn't rushed to buy another phone to recover the wallet.

EDIT: this is not an isolated case. Every seed generated by this offline device is not not valid to be redeemed on PCs.

Funny that some people around here are looking into my posts too see if i hodl or doing something else. Market is changing fast, so i have to change with it or got rekt. Anyway looks like my consolidation zone is still kickin lol. When people are looking to my graphs they can see what i mean. Well its time for some more altcoins i guess.

Nobody is interested whether you "hodl or do something else". Fact is that you change you mind and go from one pole to another so fast that any opinion you issue is discredited immediately. One day you're crying because you just got rekt in alts and swear you're a hodlr from then. Hours later you're profiting from trading alts... I'm not a psychiatrist but I'd recommend you to schedule a visit to a good one.

Quite often I noticed it's trades that only an apparent total retard would make that turn out to be the big winners. If the whole community is shouting that it's time to to sell it's the best time to buy, and vice versa,

Usually Cartman is right
