4201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: SURE BETS with Bitcoin on: October 26, 2020, 03:47:40 AM
Definitely, the formula is very simple. just bet on Bookmaker A @ 1.30 odds and Bookmaker B @4.50 odds.
If I were to bet, I will bet $1,000 to  Bookmaker A @ 1.30 and if that wins, I'll be break even because I'm going to put a bet on Bookmaker B @4.50 at $300 which would give me a win of  $1,350.00, so less $1,000 +$300, my profit would only be $50... At least there's nor risk.  Grin
This is comparable to arbitrage bots trading at crypto-exchanges. For coins with little volume, prices may vary considerably. Had a case the day before yesterday where AERGO on Kucoin cost 0.044c per coin, on HitBTC it was 0.068c. If one is fast enough to buy the coins on Kucoin, transfer it to HitBTC and sell it immediatly, it may be quite worth the effort. But this functions however only with less well-known Coins with low trading volume.

I think it will be the same here and you will only be able to use arbitrage for less frequented sports, right?
That's what I have thinking too considering it's always a win-win scenario but more favorable to sports betting since the odds is already set compare to arbitrage that you may experience fast volatility of coin value and for worst you may be stuck when the coins is just meant to be p&d.

The only thing really that be a wet blanket here is if there's a draw especially on football but it will be good if it's on basketball sports betting.

To be honest, I wasn't aware that his father has past away. The sad part is that he is a victim of the corona virus, so that really hurt Khabib and his family.
It was in the early days of July (death) but his father was diagnosed earlier before that in May you can read the article here: https://www.cnn.com/cnn/2020/07/03/sport/ufc-abdulmanap-nurmagomedov-khabib-nurmagomedov-dies-covid-19-complications-spt-intl/index.html and I think he decided this months ago and just announced after his last fight.
4205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 25, 2020, 01:35:31 AM
Everyone has his hope riding on Justin to at least give Khabib a good fight, but just like the rest of them, Khabib is too much, the pressure and relentlessness he give Justin, he doesn't want to give him any breathing room. And after Justin throw that low kick, Khabib shoot for a one leg and after that, it was Khabib's territory.

Sad to hear though that he is retiring, but he has clean up the decision. And we all know how tight he is with his father, so let's respect his decision.
It's hard for him to fight without his father in his side but I know that this last fight his father was with him to still remain at the glorious victory of his son. It's sad to hear that a talented man like Khabib will end this sooner than expected but it was his own decisions and yeah we should respect it. Sad to hear that his father lost in this pandemic.

Khabib is on his height of performance and I know the loss of his father has emotional effect on him but that's not a reason to take a retirement. Specially when he is having a good career and is still in a fighting age. He can easily fight 5 more years and create more history. Death comes to everyone and he's just heartbroken, a good consultation may bring him back to the ring.
I guess it's more of an acceptable reason to retire considering his father was always with him when he was beginning up to his prime and undefeated streak. I don't think he'll ever comeback (I wish he will but I think Khabib is always true to himself and has one word) and I think he decides this months ago before announcing it today.

You could either move this topic to Auctions board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=73.0 or on Digital Goods board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=93.0. Click the move topic on the bottom left of this thread and search for the board I just mentioned. Either way, I could report this to the mods for them to move it.
4208  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BTC stuck in limbo on: October 24, 2020, 12:10:59 AM
If ever you look the chart here on (180 DAYS - 30 Day Average) https://www.blockchain.com/charts/mempool-count?timespan=1week at may indication ng bull market we should expect that price ng transactions ay tumaas.

Kung ang non-custodial wallet mo may feature Ng Opt-in RBF Gaya ng Electrum or Blockstream Green then best to read this article https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/rbf/ and there are other alternatives as well na binanggit dyan if ever yung non-costudial wallet mo don't have the RBF functionality.

4210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of Casinos to Avoid on: October 23, 2020, 10:32:57 AM
Just a suggestion how about a community voting in this thread on what's the casino we should avoid the most as well? How about that?

I didn't know that Bitstarz is actually a scam crypto casino because my friend recently sends me a referral link so that he could get a bonus on the gambling site. I hope OP would definitely make an update list about scam crypto casinos so that only a few people will be deceived or tricked by these fraudulent gambling sites.
AFAIK they are the most untrusted site here in the gambling board especially to the old users. Haven't been into the site and have read some threads about them and I totally avoid them ever since.

4213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for Cornhole on sportbooks on: October 22, 2020, 09:34:43 PM
thanks! usaonlinesportsbooks.com led me to into looking on BetOnline.ag and based on the article you provided and BetOnline Twitter post(https://twitter.com/betonline_ag/status/1261748371863322626) and this Reddit thread(https://www.reddit.com/r/sportsbook/comments/ggj3ek/any_books_offering_cornhole/) BetOnline.ag most likely did have a betting odd on cornhole but only on major events since I can't find any odd for cornhole at this moment even with the upcoming event on cornhole. also, BetOnline is accepting bitcoin which is good. but right now I don't plan to deposit or play on their site since there is a complaint on the Twitter post I provided where a guy wasn't paid on an "American roulette spin". I was also going to look onto bovada.com since the bovada was mentioned on the Reddit thread but the website is not accessible to my country.
You're welcome and grateful I'd been of assistance to you to find the sportsbook in this Cornhole, sack toss or bags sport (whatever it's called). I thought BetOnline isn't that crypto friendly and that Bovada is new to me as well. Yeah, be cautious onto them.
4214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for Cornhole on sportbooks on: October 22, 2020, 01:50:16 PM
Seems really news to me I thought it was just some kind of slot but I was wrong. I haven't seen any sportsbook offering this kind of game maybe it was a new one and still not into popularity. If ever this will be on major sportsbook I think that's when only it makes noise, for now safe to assume we couldn't find it on sportsbook or there is but not a major one.

Watching it may look easy but I think it's a hard one and it needs lot of concentration and timing. The history was quiet old now and it dated back on the 19th century though I thought it was a modern game.

Useful links that may lead to Cornhole Sportsbook though I doubt if those are crypto friendly sites. Please read.

4215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How safe it is to give a away personal detail to SwissBorg on: October 22, 2020, 09:00:59 AM
In the end, it will still be your decision you should follow and your intuition towards it. It's safe to assume that we can't trust them because what we are trying to risk here was our privacy and we value it. You're not overreacting most people feel the same way if they are in the same situation as you are now. For me, I'd rather avoid it but once again it will be your sole decision if you pursue it or not.
4216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 22, 2020, 04:30:33 AM
Yes, that happened to me many years ago. It was before I understood the math behind the game. It's always a bad idea. Although there's a small chance that you'll recover what you lost, you're playing against the odds. The problem is that when you are trying to recover losses you are in an emotional state and this makes you go deeper into the losses.
The worst part there is if you somehow kind of recovering the loss and gets eager to make it faster you tried to be greedy e.g. you want to double your wager since you are seeing this might be streak but then at the end you end up loosing more. That's the worst part I tend to have experienced one time when I chase my losses, still grateful it gives me lesson until now, more like a gambling knowledge blessing in disguise.

When my losses in sports betting starts to pile up from one another because of a bad streak I lower my bet size even further then continue from there. Half of the time it works I slowly win them back but I sometimes get too confident and increase my bet size just to lose it all again.  If my luck is still very bad I stop for a day and browse for better matches or place my bets live instead of pre live.
LOL just what I just experienced too, it's a laughable matter to me now this days but I already moved on to that besides those are my choices and I don't regret those. Regret will not move you forward nor give you a light to the path you wanted to.
4217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Towards another gambling site. on: October 21, 2020, 09:19:37 PM
Overall it will still rely on luck and those saying it was because of a strategy that's just not true, so stop seeing it as you see in the movies. Unless you could see it coming when that ball rolls that's sure a talent. If I were to learn about roulette gambling is to follow always our intuition, never regret what your choices are, and always play what you can lose.
4218  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: pano kung ang pilipinas ay magka crypto but it has same value sa btc on: October 21, 2020, 01:17:09 PM
Unless we go all the way to digital on most aspects at maging sa lahat ng mga transaction at meron ng mass acknowledgement ng cryptocurrency dito sa 'Pinas. Bakit pa bubuo ng panibagong currency kung same lang naman sila sa present peso currency ngayon?

I don't think na magiging posible ito especially na malampasan yung dollar if it behaves the same way as the current peso. If it will not behave na stablecoin there's possibility na tumaas but I think it will be that easy to implement such currency it will involve many dealings baka nga makisawsaw pa mga international government organizations dito kung babalangkasin man ang sinasabi ni OP.
4219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 21, 2020, 12:43:20 PM
You are right but the things that you had mention were also there before the pandemic. Meaning that earnings for now and before will be different if we will based on the number of crowds going in and pay in the stadium plus the food businesses they had outside for the fans to buy during the game. How many games they can get during the play offs and the finals? This is one of the that affects income to PBA. I think that this season still earn profit but are a little bit lesser compare to earning profit prior to covid19 pandemic.
Of courses there will be a huge difference just imagine the loss they got from tickets, merchandise and advertising. Everything will be less unless the setup returns to normal especially NBA also get revenue internationally especially on the Asian countries. By the way, this isn't a PBA thread maybe you got it wrong for a thread or just a misspelling.
4220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Accuracy and attention when transferring cryptocurrencies. on: October 21, 2020, 09:00:42 AM
It was hell of an expensive lesson for this AAVE holder and I wonder if this guy was just new in the crypto space considering the transactions on his/her address was just only for a month. There are too many ways to secure your transaction but this guy surely isn't paying attention for a large amount he was trying to transfer. There's CTRL + F on windows to search if he really got the exact address of his/her receiver (I just don't know what's the same value of it on MAC or Linux) and checking the last or first characters of the address as suggested by jackg.

I think this isn't just that he got the wrong address maybe he was so sure that it was the right address he wanted to send to but he/she isn't paying attention that it was the smart contract address of a token he was sending to. I assume that it was the scenario but too late it's irreversible and already locked. There are users who propose to restore it but I think it doesn't been paid much of an attention and it even displayed on the "Off-topic" board of the AAVE governance forum. The thread was still new maybe it will be discussed furthermore since the not so good event of this AAVE holder was noticed just recently.
