4201  Local / Mining (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Masih untungkah Mining Sekarang ?? on: September 24, 2020, 08:28:02 AM
4202  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum not sending payment? Pending forever.. on: September 24, 2020, 07:54:50 AM
The first step sounds so weird. If you don't recognize the address or even adding that to your contact list (since it sounds like you just select the address and not copy pasting it), I'd assume that your account is possibly compromised. The malware issue might be possible too.

Looks like you don't control that address too since you don't have the seed/private key (and no, it is not specifically related to Electrum). Sorry to say this but sounds like you lost your coin already.
4203  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitextrum exchange? on: September 24, 2020, 07:32:39 AM
These scammers are usually quick to react with deleting their website, create a new one, start sending random message, and so on. A more effective way for newbies would be to learn the known MO of scammers instead of individually checking new random website.
4204  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [DISKUSI] Tentang DeFi (Decentralized Finance) on: September 24, 2020, 07:08:59 AM
4205  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Newbie Should be Careful When Received New Follower From Famous Bitcoiner on: September 23, 2020, 05:31:17 PM
I no longer play around with social media, but one thing for sure if you don't want to go all the hassle might as well make your profile private and don't accept any followers/message. Obviously, if you need your account for marketing/social purpose then it might not be the best idea.
4206  Local / Marketplace (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Diskusi/Review] Kartu Prepaid Bitcoin yang Support untuk Pengguna Indonesia on: September 23, 2020, 05:22:15 PM
Eropa kayaknya emang paling mudah buat rilis prepaid card dibandingkan region lainnya.

4207  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What actually makes a token pump? on: September 23, 2020, 05:04:06 PM
I'm starting with DIA. It is listed on top exchanges, has good partnership, the team isn't relenting and its price still drops drastically. So, I put up the question to learn with the trend on what actually thrives the price of a token/coin?
I'm seeing the same thing with my one or two projects on the watchlist (of course "a good project" might be different for everyone), so I wouldn't be surprised. The obvious answer is because not every holders of the tokens hold it for the fundamentals, they might trade it for the sake of getting profits every day and not long-term holding. Mix that with a low volume or bad tokenomics and you might see a lot of "P&D" on the market.

You should not chase pumps if you want a long-term investment, and always use the money you can afford to lose. That will help you from checking the price every day.
4208  Other / Off-topic / Re: Centralized or decentralized internet? on: September 23, 2020, 04:36:27 PM
You mean something like what SEC did? I'm not sure where you live but in my case we do have one, though the exposure and their efforts to educate people might not be that great yet.

"Web 3.0" is just another place where people get scammed through other means, and probably more advanced, such as phishing etc (which happens quite often). In short, even if the technology is so advanced but people don't know how to use it, it will probably end up the same.
4209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a sure legacy on: September 23, 2020, 10:23:22 AM
Don't forget to play safe. Appreciate the optimism but don't go risk all your money to crypto or Bitcoin. It is still a wild west out there, so remember to use the money you can afford to lose.

In the end, Bitcoin is a currency, so you should keep it safe on your own and don't depend on exchanges which existed for less than ten years.
4210  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Klaim Token Governance Uniswap on: September 23, 2020, 09:40:19 AM

4211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whatever Happened to Proof of Keys? on: September 22, 2020, 05:37:15 PM
but like you said some people will never learn. ( similar situation happened with bitkonect with people giving them money upto a day before they went belly up)
I think this is the point. Some people are never gonna learn the lesson unless they got rekt themselves. They also easily believes the "insurance fund" some exchanges are claiming here and there, so that's that. I think it will come to the point where everyone learn it the hard way, or DEX is good enough to use so they won't use CEX ever again. I believe the former is more likely to happen though.
4212  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: DeFi: TREN CRYPTO PALING SEXY DI 2020 ? on: September 22, 2020, 05:00:20 PM
Ngapain bikin thread baru lagi kalau thread semacam https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183927.0 udah ada? Tinggal post aja pertanyaan agan yang mau dibikin diskusi, toh ruang lingkup topiknya luas.
4213  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: coin / token asal Indonesia on: September 22, 2020, 12:12:39 PM

4214  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Lowest fees on btc exchange. on: September 22, 2020, 11:29:40 AM
As you can see it states 6 years of experience for our team building up and coming all the way to ExoCrow.com not months since domain registration date.
I think a better argument would be to show your 'real' experience and portfolios, not some arbitrary numbers. If you guys do have it, there should be no problem with it.
4215  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: chipmixer api on: September 22, 2020, 11:19:24 AM
maybe adding app for hardware wallets like Ledger or Trezor?
You mean publishing their own app for Ledger/Trezor devices like the native wallet app? Not sure that's even possible since you'd probably need to work with the developers. Pretty sure they will sway away from thing like this too.

The current set up for me is quite easy to learn, not to mention sometimes plug-in make it even harder for newbies to use it.
4216  Other / Archival / Re: This is very strange website on: September 22, 2020, 05:59:26 AM
They give a series of explanations in the section about us
And you believe it? I mean, do you really believe that some random website will be able to cheat from online casino that was probably developed for years and have some cheating prevention in place? And if that's really possible, why would they allow you to get some profits by doing nothing? They'd rather use it and never make it public so they can milk some more.

He's obviously scamming you. Don't be too naive on the internet, if it is too good to be true then it probably is.
4217  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 4% APY on Bitcoin on: September 22, 2020, 05:24:41 AM
Most DeFi lending platforms are doing the same thing. You'll need to use WBTC or other pegged token though. Or if you want a non-custodial solution then Atomic Loans is one of the alternative. I don't really see 4% APY is really a good deal to risk your coins tbh.
4218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Patents on: September 22, 2020, 05:19:22 AM
Looks like Chinese companies in general is trying as hard as they can to register a lot of patents on the market. Quite understandable since they also have the BSN network, which is a big deal for any company who want to do a blockchain business over there.

But still, just how many patents will actually be useful and not some marketing gimmick?
4219  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How accurate is the fee estimation in Electrum? on: September 21, 2020, 05:57:51 PM
I suggest you use the "In the next block" option next time, again it's not a guarantee but still your transaction stands a higher chance of getting confirmed quicker
Their next block option is overpaying most of the times, I would not use it at all.
I prefer the Mempool fees estimation option along side a couple of tools like mempool.space. They give a better picture of the mempool in real time unlike ETA which is mostly based on the previous block
This is a better idea. If you need your transaction to get confirmed on the next block, see whether there are a lot of transactions on the mempool or not, if not, you could probably get away with setting your fee to 1-2 sat+the lowest fee on the current candidate block. If not, you'd probably need to add 10 sats or more (also depends on how quick the next block will be generated).
4220  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Funds went missing on a transfer from Binance to Coinbase on: September 21, 2020, 05:53:38 PM
I think this will be another loss cause. In most cases, exchanges won't help you if you send the funds to a wrong address, even if they did, that just count as a good act and not necessarily an obligation.

I think there's no need to stress further that you should always double check the address, the tokens, etc. Most exchanges give you at two step verification to prevent this from happening.
