Which is the best life and why?  Huh

1. Childhood

Childhood was really a good time, a life free of worries and struggles. All we had to do was eat, sleep and be a kid.
4202  Economy / Trading Discussion / Near success syndrome in trading. on: February 13, 2021, 03:58:36 PM
During the recent spike in the value of TWT, a friend of mine made double her capital trading. Although she had already made double her money, she set her exit point on the trade at a very high point hoping to triple her capital. Before the crash of the market and her profits along with it, she was excited and told me how happy she felt to have made something tangible trading on her own. I adviced her not to be greedy, that she should quickly sell since she has made double and not wait to make triple a her capital, but she refused and insisted on waiting. (I gave the advice  knowing that TWT is not a stable coin).
Some few moments after our conversation, i saw her with a long face saying that the market had crashed and if she had known, she would have followed my advice.

(This is not the first time she has made such a mistake)

Could this be termed "Near success syndrome in trading?".
Are you or Do you know someone with a similar episode?

4203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Say btc is Not ponzi but its look like ponzi on: February 13, 2021, 03:30:45 PM
For something to look like something doesn't mean it is the main thing. Pinzi is a scheme to siphon and gather resources from people in a bid to swindle them under the pretense of an investment with a ridiculous profit margin. Bitcoin can be used for ponzi, but it is not Ponzi itself.
4204  Other / Off-topic / Re: BE GRATEFUL FOR LIFE. on: February 13, 2021, 12:30:14 PM
I came across a powerful quote sometime that says that "to be grateful, is an application for more". Constant gratitude for everything and most importantly life is a  character we all should adopt for a better life. The moment you realise that every moment in life is a gift, in that moment, your life changes.
4205  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is it the virus or the treatment that affects mental health? on: February 13, 2021, 12:23:45 PM

Mental stress is one of the problems that the government is increasing by escalating the supposed difficulties of this virus.

The mental stress is something indeed, the constant precautionary measures against a virus we can't see, the wearing of nose masks, constant watchfulness not to carelessly place hands on any surface in public, the constant fight not to touch ones face, then the big one, "THE NEWS FROM THE MEDIA", the deaths, the sad stories of hospitals filled and how health practitioners are working overtime tto keep this all at bay. I find all these mentally exhausting.
4206  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and cryptocurrency on: February 13, 2021, 12:15:31 PM
..so from my perspective I prefer bitcoin than fiat currency due to fast transactions process across another country, and nothing fiat can purchase bitcoin can't purchase, so no difference between both because all are currency.

As much as they can both considered as currency, there are some things you can't purchase with btc. Not because btc doesn't have a good value for it but because the value of the thing needed to be purchased, might just be too low or the merchant prefers fiat. Imagine buying a kilo of chicken from a merchant and wanting to pay an impatient seller with btc. Such situations are quick transactions and fiat is usually a preferred choice.
4207  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Cryptocurrencies Really Money? on: February 13, 2021, 11:59:49 AM
Because money is "anything" that is accepted in exchange for a goods or a service, anything agreed upon in a given location as a medium of exchange is money. Take a pebble stone for instance, if we collectively agree that this pebble stone should be accepted as a medium of exchange amd there is a law validating this decree, the pebble stone can be considered money. So therefore, in places where cryptocurrency use for transactions is legal and accepted by both parties as a medium of exchange, they can be considered as money.
4208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let`s say bitcoin replaces fiat. What happens? on: February 13, 2021, 11:52:21 AM
I believe this scenario is only one that can exist in the mind. I don't mean to sound like a non believer, but i can't picture a future where fiat is totally replaced by bitcoin. I think what we are striving for is widespread acceptance and not complete replacement of fiat.
4209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin before and now on: February 13, 2021, 11:44:10 AM
I hold a strong believe that the current value of btc (42.8k usd) will in no time become the before price for bitcoin. In the future when the price has risen aso high, people will look back and say - " I remember the time btc was 42.8k"
4210  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Anyone else feels that US didn't take COVID-19 serious enough? on: February 13, 2021, 08:27:52 AM
No one envisaged a pandemic situation this big. The US as well as some other countries didn't take the virus serious enough until it had their health systems on their knees. Because of this negligence and non-chalancy, the United States has recorded over 481 thousand deaths, with States like California still experiencing a lockdown because of the high number of cases.
4211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs GOLD on: February 13, 2021, 07:46:47 AM
Since the identification of btc hodling as a good way to invest your money, investors all around the world habe been venturing into the prospects. With the high liquidity in the market, everyone wants to be a part of it. Many even consider and see bitcoin as the new gold, the new digital gold.
4212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC were to permanently freeze at one price , would you buy ? on: February 13, 2021, 05:24:52 AM

So let's say BTC was to be absolutely frozen from here on at todays price

A lot of people consider BTC as an investment scheme to make some profit from the speculative rise in value. In a situation where there is no longer a price movement and the price becomes fixed and stable, i don't think people will still buy or Hodl.

4214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Heroes of Bitcoin - A thanks to the many good people. on: February 12, 2021, 09:06:46 PM

02. Hal Finney                   :  First Bitcoin user, supporter and developer

Hal finney deserves some special commendation. To be the first to believe in the vision of crypto is something really. I just did a quick research about him and i found out that as far back as January 2009, Hal finney tweeted -"Running bitcoin". His believe that bitcoin was something revolutionary is commendable.
4215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Owning One BTC In 2035 Will Make You A Millionaire on: February 12, 2021, 11:45:43 AM
I totally agree with the topic of this discourse. All things being equal, by 2035, it is even difficult to predict the value bitcoin will be by then.  Even for just owning 0.5btc you will be a millionaire.
4216  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it normal to not want to work at all? on: February 12, 2021, 11:39:02 AM
Alot of people are not cut out for the office job or working for someone else kind of life. Some of us who run our businesses started it because we couldn't bear the thought of working for someone else only to be paid a stipend at an agreed date in exchange for time. However, because we are all different and unique, some people like the working for somebody something while others don't. Whichever one you are, it is completely normal.
4217  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you looking for freedom on: February 12, 2021, 11:23:41 AM
Man is free to the extent to which he can be free that is why we have fundamental human rights. However total freedom for every man to do as he/she chooses is very dangerous to both himself and society.

4219  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you make friends when you're 30+? on: February 12, 2021, 11:09:45 AM
When you are 30, you definitely must have had some bad experiences with people in general or friends, if you have never had an experience, you probably must have heard a story. Because of this sometimes, you are not generally open to everyone and you selectively choose people you mingle with.

To make new friends, you must be selective and intentional about the friends you keep, you must identify individuals who will make good friends fit for you and your growth and development and then you must be social, hospitable and give people a chance.
4220  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The globalist controllers have already LOST the end game on: February 12, 2021, 11:00:31 AM
The globalist are no younglings to the game of control. It will be delusional to believe that they have lost the end game when they are still very much in control of global happenings. Who is to say now that they didn't let all the happenings in the world recently to happen, in a bid to cling more to power and control.
