4201  Other / Meta / Re: Stats on active & merit status of Donators & VIPs on: December 13, 2019, 08:57:50 AM
it will be interesting to know who has deposited the most bitcoin calculated in USD amount, I mean deposit of bitcoin when it's price was high, 50 bitcoin has different value 8 years ago and 9 years ago, there was difference even in months so that's why I am asking, who was the biggest donator ever.
Based on the following post, "Claymore" might be the biggest donator [in USD]:

Thanks to Claymore, the first Donator in quite some time.

- Bitcoin's worth on that day = $1,242
  • 10BTC x $1,242 = $12,420
4202  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Xitheon.com - Instant Anonymous Bitcoin VPS // Windows & Linux (RDP/KVM) on: December 13, 2019, 06:41:01 AM
This feature already exists, when you decide to buy a server by clicking "Launch VPS" or "Launch Server" you are brought to the configuration page, please see the link mentioned under the quote above.
But your configuration page isn't "fully customizable [we're limited to only add extra storage]"...
- As it stands, we can't remove and add a piece of hardware based on our preferences [you've got a lot of plans but you can fit more in-between each of those].

4204  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Self made Legendary on: December 12, 2019, 09:56:48 AM
I have been trying my best to contribute myself for forum, but forum given me more than my expectation.
I might've been somehow inactive for the past year [up until last month] but I still remember our short interactions [back in the day] and seeing your recent achievements, makes me proud [you deserve every bit of it].
  • Keep it up Wink
4205  Other / Meta / Re: Stats on active & merit status of Donators & VIPs after 10 years on: December 12, 2019, 09:09:16 AM
According to [1], there are 143 VIPs/ donators in total, but I found only 133, the rest 10 likely deleted (not sure, so correct me if I am wrong).
Correction: 153
  • Unfortunately, these stats are a bit inaccurate:

Updated: April 2017

Most of them must have been early adopters, so I can imagine many of them are now rich beyond imagination and spend their days sipping margaritas on the beach.
And others might have sold all ther Bitcoins when it hit $0.30, and visiting Bitconitalk would only remind them of how much they regret selling early.
And some of them chose to scam people...
4206  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [CFNP] Educational giveaway | guess first Bitcoin Block in 2020 [9.5 mBTC] on: December 12, 2019, 08:25:58 AM
-to participate you must HAVE 10 MERIT and at least 50 ACTIVITY
5 earned Merit is still low, similar giveaways have mostly 10 Merit:
Indeed [for us it's quite low but for lower-ranked members, might be a different story].
  • Other giveaways aren't aimed at newbies/lower-ranked members (given that you posted on this board, I guess that should've been one of the objectives [to allow users with a lower rank, participate in your giveaway])

and I reviewed possible abusers manually.
Perhaps this might be the better solution [regardless of it being a bit subjective]...

I wasn't sure if that approach would work also for international giveaways and didn't want to take a risk, so I decided to set a criteria of at least 5 earned Merit.
It will Smiley

But your suggestion "at least Member or above" could also be a fair solution.
Actually, it's the other way around Grin

I'll add a poll if we should include him or not.
I'm with LoyceV on this one. A change in rule/s should only apply to succeeding rounds.
4207  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Xitheon.com - Instant Anonymous Bitcoin VPS // Windows & Linux (RDP/KVM) on: December 12, 2019, 06:55:56 AM
Feel free to leave any feedback or questions here, thank you for your time and salute to the shapers of the new world.
- You might want to add a window to allow us, choose our custom configuration and also to see what will be the cost when it comes to tweaking each piece of hardware for our configurations.

Xitheon offers anonymous VPS & VPN systems (linux & windows (RDP) or a custom image of your choice on a range of hardware & cloud solutions in exchange for bitcoin.

~Snipped~
Perhaps you should consider adding the content of your 2nd post into your first post instead [looks much better] and also pay attention to the following forum rules [since you already announced its launch, you can lock the other thread in "Project Development" board]:

12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting it in the local language boards if it's translated).

13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours.[2]

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

Dropping in to announce the launch of Xitheon (https://xitheon.com), an anonymous VPS provider that accepts bitcoin (only). Servers & IP's are available in multiple locations around the globe and we plan to expand weekly. It is still very early with us, please be patient while we work on ironing out the tiny details.
4208  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cexmo.com - cryptocurrency exchange rates monitoring on: December 11, 2019, 04:04:51 AM
but all cases[1] agree that the money has been paid[2] to the user and that the scam is a hefty fee.
I wouldn't be so sure about that [not everything is being reported on this forum] but regardless of it, they aren't a reputable one.

In my opinion, we can classify this platform as good if there is no alternative and the trades in small amounts "do not trust them with large sums."
Personally, I would no longer trust them with a single satoshi [even if there were no other choices]. Anyone that uses them for smaller amounts, contributes to their success.

This classification differs from the sites that have been recognized as scamming and stealing people's money.
An indirect scam is still classified as "scam".

4209  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [CFNP] Educational giveaway | guess first Bitcoin Block in 2020 [9.5 mBTC] on: December 11, 2019, 02:44:29 AM
I'm also a little bit disappointed about the low participation, I did the same sort of giveaway in the German section and had a few more users willing to join (the list is a little bit misleading, users were allowed to choose 2 numbers)
Correct me if I'm wrong [I do not understand the language], but I think "no merits requirements" on the other thread might've been the main reason instead:

- Um Schummeleien einzugrenzen, muss euer Account signifikant aktiv gewesen sein, ich reserviere mir das Recht, neue oder verdächtige Accounts ohne Begründung abzulehnen.
Quote from: Google translate
- To limit cheating, your account must have been significantly active, I reserve the right to reject new or suspicious accounts without justification.

Perhaps you should reconsider that rule [merit requirements] for your next giveaway [if there will be any] and only allow users up to member rank to join in.

I can move it to Bounties (Altcoins) and see what's happening.  Cheesy Cheesy

Why do you think ChangeNow scammers? A lot of good reviews have been written about them. Perhaps sometimes there are technical problems, but their support quickly solves.
See for yourself:

- You did not add the most popular exchange platforms like changelly, ShapeShift, Bisq and others.
The same "scam team" that is managing ChangeNow, also manages Changelly [you may refer to the above link].

A few suggestions:
  • Night mode
  • Add more cryptocurrencies to your list (at the moment, it's fixed at top 100 + next/previous buttons are greyed out).
  • You might want to consider replacing the low quality ad [big vertical ads on right side] images with a higher quality versions instead.
4212  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Switchere.com – instant crypto exchange. Fiat accepted. 90% Referral Program. on: December 09, 2019, 08:47:28 AM
Care to share the payment processor's name?
- Has a lot of countries on its "restricted list".

Found a small visual bug [it doesn't affect the 2nd step of conversion]:
  • The amount on "you get field" doesn't automatically change if you switch USD to EUR [or vice-versa] (in order for it to display correct amount, I have to retype in "you have field").

4214  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: NextBull.Run new crypto site. on: December 09, 2019, 06:45:41 AM
NextBull.Run shows the most accurate live prices, charts and market rates from trusted top crypto exchanges globally. NextBull.Run have over 2100+ cryptocurrencies, trusted historical data, details of active, upcoming and finished ICOs. The website provides a list of cryptocurrency and blockchain related events, valid and authentic list of cryptocurrency wallets and Bitcoin mining pools.
In regards to "Mining Equipments" page:
  • Perhaps you should consider only listing mining rigs from either official sellers or those with a good reputation [e.g. Sesterce has a few scam accusations already].

Suggestion:
  • You might want to consider adding filters for "Top 10 Coins" and "Latest Crypto News" tables [on your homepage].

I really like its dashboard looking style, it's almost a complete hub for everything.
4215  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which decentralized exchanges (DEX) are the best ones to use now? Help me plz on: December 09, 2019, 05:42:30 AM
Unfortunately, I don't find any sites that categorise exchanges as centralized and decentralized. If you know it, please help me.
Here you go: CoinGecko's exchange list [in order to see only "decentralized exchanges", just click "filter" then tick "Exclude Centralized" box].
- Regardless of their respective "trust scores" on that site, always search for their names on "Scam Accusations" board.
4216  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cexmo.com - cryptocurrency exchange rates monitoring on: December 08, 2019, 02:46:31 PM
Hello! We added new exchangers in our listing. You will now have more choices.
And you will have more hidden ref links on "change" button.

Enhanced Security
The algorithm picks only the most trusted and reputable services. We never include websites with a bad reputation on the web to prevent our customers from the slightest hint of fraud.
And yet, you have included "ChangeNow in your list"...
  • Just search for its name on "Scam Accusations board" [it's quite popular].
  • I didn't bother to look at other exchanges in your list but most likely, there are more [with a bad reputation].
4217  Other / Meta / Re: A suggestion regarding "Multiple posts in a row" on: December 08, 2019, 01:24:32 PM
The modified bumping system on some boards is a better model, but doesn't fit all boards.
Would it be possible to have a slightly modified bumping system for Services or other similar boards?
- Reason behind my request [this is just my case, I can cite other examples as well]:
  • I'm participating in a campaign that happens to use a bot for its counter and that bot literally counts everything [It isn't fair if I try to bump my threads].
  • I prefer to not create another throwaway account with the sole purpose of bumping my threads.

I've been thinking that a more ideal solution would be:
I agree with all of them...

- Only allow one post in a thread to count toward post-counts per 24 hours, and perhaps hide/limit signatures in the excess posts as well, addressing purpose #3.
Since you're trying to prevent spam and most users that are part of it, happen to be a campaign [signature] participant then you should also consider hiding these posts on "Show the last posts of this person." page...
  • Without hiding it on the page that I mentioned, this will only work for campaigns that use bots to count posts or those so-called managers that only count posts [regardless of it being eligible or not] based on the number shown in our profiles.

IMHO, we need both of theymos and hosseinimr93's suggestions [in order to see a significant change in results].
4218  Other / Meta / Re: |What of a 2FA (using the signing btc-address) for the forum! on: December 08, 2019, 11:40:01 AM
However, if it becomes mandatory to sign a message whenever a member logs in, it would be a real pain for those who browse the forum using their smartphones.
AFAIK, most smartphone users remain logged in so that shouldn't really be a big deal for them.
- I think only 2FA [with an authenticator app] will be added for entering the forum.

asking for authentication just when needing change Email or Password.
Since 2FA is already part of "Planned Features [most likely for login purposes]", I think it'll be fairly easy to implement it for email/password changes.

Planned Features
  • 2-Factor Authentication
4219  Economy / Services / Re: Music producer [EDM/D&B/ambient/breaks] creating music for you from $50 on: December 08, 2019, 10:05:28 AM
2. I produce track and send you low quality version
That's one way of losing all your efforts for "nothing [that's more than enough for a lot of scammers out there]"...
Perhaps you should consider providing only bits/parts of the track [5/10 sec] or at least use someone from this list (Recommended bitcointalk escrow services [except me]), in case you prefer to continue providing a low-quality version of the track.
