4201  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fixed income with BTC trading? on: April 19, 2017, 02:57:08 PM

I want to generate a constant monthly gain. Is it possible to do this by bitcoin trading? So, can I just do this by dealing with BTC trading?
Are there any people among us who can make a living by trading in BTC?
Well to generate a constant monthly gain in bitcoin trading in terms of fixed income a month I think its possible if you are good and expert trader in the market but if not that's not possible to make a living
 By trading in bitcoin.

With a certain amount of money it should be possible to be able to make some sort of living trading Alts and Bitcoin, it'd just be like trading in the actual stock market with a lot more risk and probably the potential for a lot more rewards as all these cryptos change price drastically.

Though, moving back to the question at hand I'd have to say that having a fixed income would be tough but I don't think it'd be too crazy to have some sort of average income if you're experienced with the market and follow some sort of method of trading and not just jumping all in sometimes and then jumping out.

Average, not fixed.
4202  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What Donald Trump Can Do With North Korea - Melania Is In New York Now on: April 19, 2017, 12:38:22 PM
The best thing Trump can do is pull off the border and get a couple of missiles up his ass

You obviously don't understand situation in Korea now.
People in North Korea are brainwashed and trust their leaders absolutely.
Seoul, capitol of South Korea, is very near the border.
If America attack North Korea, in a few hours Seoul can be bombarded and destroyed, and millions of people killed or wounded.
Because of this open attack on North Korea can't be a realistic option.
China can help to solve this crisis, and it seems that their leaders are finally ready to make necessary steps in order to stop nuclear program in North Korea.
Any act of aggression against North Korea could lead to large and unforeseeable consequences.
We have to avoid it at all costs.
Trump have no choice but to work together with China in order to solve this problem.

Do you really think that North Korea has the tech to be able to fully bombard a place in which the United States is going to be protecting and is protecting with I think 14,000 US troops stationed at the Demilitarized Zone. This just isn't going to happen in the least.

Plus, I didn't even put into the fact that South Korea and the US have much superior military tech when you're going to be comparing them with the North Korea as most of their armaments are I think from the Cold War Era where the Soviets and the Chinese gave them all of this military equipment.

We'll try to avoid it, but if needed America will intervene alongside South Korea and China in order to topple this horrid regime.
4203  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hey idiots & low iqs; This is a nuclear bomb... on: April 19, 2017, 11:56:17 AM
Isn't it ironic that we try to achieve peace by having weapons that can obliterate the world in a matter of minutes.

Well the big thing about making peace, is that if you want it you're going to have to prepare for war "Si vis pacem, para bellum" "If you want peace, prepare for war" This is one of the core things that I think of based on the fact that if you're going to keep flaunting your armaments at countries that also have these arms no one is going to go to war with eachother.

Simply put, the Soviets and the US both had nuclear bombs and knew that if they dropped one on one another it would cause nuclear war and would obliterate the world as we know it.

So, it's horrible to say but if you want peace countries need to have nuclear arms, and other military armaments.
4204  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump: Buy America, Hire America on: April 19, 2017, 11:25:23 AM
Similar policies exist in most of the world nations, and why the Americans should be the exception? American workers should be given the preference for work inside the United States. The US can't be charitable to the rest of the world, when the reverse is not true.

Agree.that we deserve the same as everyone else, and charity starts at home. But the fact of the matter is we don't have the infrastructure to produce alot of the shit  we make, because we don't have access to cheap factory labor like China, and the lack of regulation over there lowers operating costs, making for cheap, exportable products. We won't be able to afford our own products if we switch over to purely American product sourcing lines. And given the amount of infrastructure Trump is planning to build, do we have the production capacity to accommodate this new strategy?  Hire American, I have no complaints against. Fucking right, hire American. It's America. But buy American, not so inspired, in my eyes.

For an experiment, check something out for me. Wait for peaches and plums to come in this season, in supermarkets. The lack of immigrants crossing the border now, and this terrible, terrible growing season (we still haven't planted this year) will make this produce expensive as all get out. Mark my words. And this will be alot of other crops as well, ESP the Cali fruit crops and organic veggies. I'm all for change, but there are consequences.

All that labor intensive hydro lettuce grown in greenhouses? Harvested by immigrants, and highly perishable.

Tomatoes too.

I think there more along the lines of executive branches having to use this when buying equipment and such, I don't think they'd be going down to the nitty gritty with food but I do understand your argument on a massive scale when talking about the entire country switching to this model.

I understand your argument pretty easily but I wouldn't want to make the taxpayers feels as if the money that they worked hard for is going to be helping to support a Chinese factory making goods for the American gov, I think they'd rather know that their money is going to work in reigniting the US economy.

In theory it sounds wonderful, we'll have to see how it plays out though.
4205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what hinders bitcoin to become a mainstream currency? on: April 19, 2017, 11:07:23 AM
Security? Crime? Inflation?

None of these. IMO, the biggest issue is the lack of partnerships with the major online retailers such as Ebay, Alibaba, and Amazon. If any of these major online shops start accepting BTC, then the userbase will increase by many times.

I'd have to agree with you but I don't think these companies feel the need to do something like this as they probably don't think it would change the amount of business in which they get. I think that they think that people will be using them regardless of if they accept a crypto-currency like bitcoin and they'd rather not have to go through all the loops and bounds of having to go ahead and accept it.

As they would have to be spending money on a dev team to set them up with accepting it even if they used Coinbase, BitPay or one of those platforms that takes a flat 1 percent fee to use I think?

But one of the other big issues is that scaling problem with the amount of money it costs to sent Bitcoin and it's really not worth all the trouble for most normal people I guess.
4206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Could someone explain with the Tether Coin / Dollar is? on: April 19, 2017, 10:35:02 AM
I've seen it on many sites and even referenced here in a couple of posts but have no clue what it is in the least and it's price points seems to stick around the $1.00 to .9999 mark which would seem to say that it's tethered to the $1 mark in USD but I have no clue how it's used at all.

Enlighten me and thank you all
4207  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have 1BTC to spent in trading what coins will you invest on: April 19, 2017, 05:27:13 AM
Probably would be going to the frontpage on coinmarketcap.com and would be investing in all of those coins - minus proportionally as I saw a spreadsheet once showing such high returns on someone who did that and then waited I think like a year.

Pretty good experiment, who knows if it would work and would make money now but if I just had this 1btc for this little project it'd be nice to see if I was able to reap in some nice rewards.

4208  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Price 1200 USD Means - Bitcoin Mining Is Profitable, Even For Beginners on: April 19, 2017, 05:00:33 AM
The opportunity will be short-lived. The difficulty will continue to rise quickly, returning mining to normal profitability. It is risky for a person without cheap electricity to spend the money on an ASIC miner..

This right here, I want this post and my post to serve as a PSA that just because it looks profitable does not mean that this whole mining then won't become saturated very soon based on the amount of money there is to be made. People are going to have to understand that it's only going to last a short while until some fat cat buys ass loads of ASIC's and sets up his new farm.

Also, the price does nothing with profitability minus the exchange part of it. Difficulty determines all of this.

If I was new, I'd get into altcoin mining, seems to be much more worth it and more profitable as I do it with my 1080 graphics card on my gaming rig when I'm not using it and make about $3 a day when I'm not using the computer. Passive income which is instantly converted to BTC through nicehash.
4209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING & TRADING on: April 19, 2017, 04:26:32 AM
I actually say down with one of my business teachers once and we filled out an entire sheet on the differences between the two and the similarities, it's kinda sad to note that at some points the two do look similar but they really aren't.

I'd say the biggest difference between the two is that with trading / investing in stocks cryptos and so on you're able to do your part in research to be able to ensure that the company will be making money, has made money in the past, has analysts backing and so on. You're able to control how much research you do and this could lead to a higher reward if your research turns out to be right.

Gambling is something that is all luck (unless a skill game like poker) and you have no control over research or anything along those lines. You have to pretty much just pray you'll win and that's all ya can do to give yourself higher chances.

Though both involve a good amount of risk but with trading you can attempt to minimize this risk with research and such.
4210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jihan blocks segwit on LTC: price crashes on: April 19, 2017, 04:00:02 AM
I think the only reason he's doing this is that he doesn't want any coin to be able to say that they are adopting Segwit, it's working and then people on the Bitcoin chain would feel easier moving over to segwit. Jihan is only looking out for his business though (respectable but still) and only cares about the bottom line and that extra 30 percent he gets from Asic boost which Segwit would be patching.

Jihan is holding Bitcoin and now Litecoin hostage based on the simple fact that he wants to make more money. Someone is going to have to put him down or at least buy more miners so we're able to compete with such scum of the world.

It is understandable that the price would crash though, this scum fucked up the party.
4211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you have to pay 10% or 20% extra will you still be using bitcoin? on: April 19, 2017, 03:33:27 AM
Do micropayments through offchain networks instead of blockchain?

Like fund a credit card or something similar and make microbuyings with the balance.

Also 10% or 20% still might still be cheaper for some transactions through more conventional ways, for example, for payments in certains countries, the fees and time required would be too costy

See the thing here is that you put forward saying that in some countries this would make sense, I'd be expecting this to be more third world or developing nations that are forced to be using those horrid wire transfer services that take a disgusting fee out of how much money you put forward.

In that case, yes those people would happily use Bitcoin if they'd be able to save money and be able to ACTUALLY CASH OUT THE BITCOIN WITH EASE.

But in a case like I'm in where I live in a first world country where credit cards and such are pretty prevalent I probably wouldn't be using Bitcoin if it cost that much more, I feel it'd be a waste and wouldn't be worth it anymore.

Though at the current state with the high trans fees I don't like using it.
4212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening in Africa? And what can we make happen? on: April 19, 2017, 02:59:58 AM
crptocurrency  is moving in Africa but still at a low adoption rate . However there are quite some developer in Southafrica and North African countries . Some ponzi scheme are adopting it whereas widening the use. Humaniq makes a target of the poorer community in the continent but development will take time except the target  is for the right people, the elite adopting the tech and internet use

Personally I don't think that Bitcoin will be able to makeway in these countries when they can't even make way in countries that are fully technologically advanced like the United States, Canada, all of Western Europe and so on. I know some people point to the fact that in Africa people would be using Bitcoin as a way to hide money from the corruput government but what's the bitcoin going to do for them if they're unable to cash it out across Africa?

I guess using Bitcoin is cheaper than using a money transferring / wire service like western union or one of those types of things but I can't see it taking way like one of those huge monopoly like companies.

Plus, I doubt the corrupt governments are going to allow Bitcoint to thrive and we all know that's the deciding factor when it comes to IF bitcoin can take way in a country. Probably going to see tons of regulations by the government.
4213  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UK PM Calls For Snap Election in June on: April 19, 2017, 01:47:45 AM
If only there was an opposition that wasn't made up of pathetic donkeys. I really can't remember a time when our politics were as chaotic and amateurish as they are now.

Kinda sad but this is very true.

Big thing is here is that this is politics and this is how it all works, if they feel they'd be able to get more seats now then in 2020 then they'll push for an election now. They have probably even thought about all the heat in which they'll take if they do this and they have figured out it's the right decision to make for the party. Only the lord knows if it's the right thing for the party but they don't care about that.

Opposition won't hold much of a fight, sucks but it's something that is true and must be said.
4214  Other / Politics & Society / Trump: Buy America, Hire America on: April 19, 2017, 12:43:14 AM
What does everyone on here think about Trumps newest executive order which surrounds around the topic of people buying American Goods and hiring American Workers. This is going to direct exective agencies to follow through on his campaign promise of buying American and such.

I think this is going to help him tremendously when it comes to following through on his promises and should help him heavily with approval ratings.

Here's the article by CNN by the way - http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/17/politics/trump-wisconsin-buy-american/index.html
4215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / What does VIABTC TX Tool actually do? on: April 18, 2017, 11:59:16 PM
I've used it for awhile and have recommended it to countless users on here but I still don't fully understand what they do in order to push someones transaction higher to be able to be confirmed. It's not that I don't know much about bitcoin or something like that, but I'm just not one to understand something like that and how the miners can pick and choose what to confirm and put first.

Thank you for helping me out and it's highly appreciated.
4216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex- bank blocked all their deposits on: April 18, 2017, 09:37:13 PM
Beginning 18th April, all incoming wires to Bitfinex will be blocked and refused by their Taiwan banks. This applies to all fiat currencies at the present time.

That means Bitfinex doesn't have bank accounts anymore. It seams their accounts are closed.

What's next? Take your money/funds out from Bitfinex as soon as possible. Smiley

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/op-ed-bitcoin-exchange-bitfinex-trouble/

http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-traders-raise-concerns-largest-us-dollar-exchange-halts-deposits/

Didn't bitfinex screw up last august and made the price crash badly? Then they came up with those ridiculous BFX tokens, and now this? Those guys should have closed business. I can't believe why people still trust their money with those guys.

It's the part that I guess people have always used Bitfinex and don't want to leave as people aren't really one to change. And I think the reasoning behind this was that they had issues with Fiat deposits such as Bank and Wire transfers and stuff which is completetly unrelated to people putting money into bitfinex when it comes to Bitcoin and other cryptos.

Even though I wouldn't trust them after the whole 'hacking' incident but still I wouldn't make this the reason you leave the company as a whole as people have issues with banks all the time. And going off off the size of their business and trade volume they should be able to fix this quicker.
4217  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Observers pointed to the large-scale fraud in the referendum in Turkey on: April 18, 2017, 07:56:13 PM
I don't think this is something that could've went through with out large scale fraud based on the simple fact that they're giving their president the power to turn into a dictator and they're doing it while knowing the horrible things that dictators have done in the past.

Unless the electorate is insanely dumb, then I don't know how some people can come to the conclusion that Erogaden didn't just have the ballots stuffed or however they handled it in Turkey.

Plus, they're not going to get EU membership like this so they can kiss the chance of that happening goodbye.
4218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what hinders bitcoin to become a mainstream currency? on: April 18, 2017, 06:01:14 PM
The government is the main obstacle that hinders bitcoin. The crimes are not caused by bitcoin, it is caused by people and they use bitcoin to make that crime, even fiat is not to be blamed so why blame it on bitcoin. Inflation is not a new thing. It has always been there since fiat exist and since bitcoin is like fiat in a way, then inflation will be there also. As for the security, bitcoin's security is strong enough to withstand attacks, wallets and exchanges are the one who are prone to attacks.

Going back to the government (in some countries), they impede bitcoin's progress and growth because of its anonymity and decentralization. We cannot blame bitcoin for being like that because bitcoin is bitcoin and that's that, the government just have to compromise and deal with bitcoin just the way it is.

Going to have to fully agree with ya on this one, some people say the reason for us not being able to go mainstream is the scaling issues that we have and how high the transcation fees are. Don't get me wrong this is one of the issues that Bitcoin isn't able to go mainstream but I feel that Government is the driving force behind stopping Bitcoin from ever going to everyone.

This is based on the simple face that the Government is going to want to have control over the money that is moved within their country and up to before the point of Bitcoin they did (Fiat Currency) now they don't like that within Bitcoin their losing control so they have to do something and they tack regulations on it.

Bitcoin is structurally not fit to become a mainstream currency. The reason you have mentioned in not the main roadblocks, let me point out , why! Remember, money is produced by the government and government controls its flow to the masses. Also the value of any money is backed up by an asset like gold. Do you find any similarity with bitcoin here? No!

Bitcoin is not generated by government and not backed up by any asset. Only public trust is what we got for bitcoin. So bitcoin looks good as an investment or a method of online transactions where government doesn’t have much to do. Bitcoin is not meant to become a mainstream currency, take it as an investment and prosper in life.

False.

Yeah dude Money hasn't been backed by gold since like the 60's I think? Don't remember the year but now it's backed by the faith of our government.

4219  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Aaron Hernandez gets away with murder, twice on: April 18, 2017, 05:26:23 PM
This seems like a wonderful time to go ahead and apply the death penalty. In all of this I'm wildly confused as to how he thought he was going to get away with all of this without an issue in the least, did he think he was simply above the law because he was a good football player? Gosh, this dude was left and right killing people and got what was coming to him.

They should bring back the firing squad and let the victims families just murder this guy, the lord knows he deserves to be dead and to rot in hell for everything that he's done on this earth.

As long as he is not getting out of prison thats a good thing but he should executed by now, All murderers should face the same punishment.

He already can not do anything, because he is in prison and to protect such as he is wrong. For this you can apply the death penalty.

Two wonderful people who agree with my logic.
4220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't use bitcoin buying a coffee now. on: April 18, 2017, 03:43:55 PM
The sad thing is that at this point even if you fully try to get everyone you know to use Bitcoin, most people really don't care for a lot of the stuff that bitcoin can offer. Some people try to say that Bitcoin is anonymous and hard to trace (we know this isn't true) but even on that tangent. What normal person in the world really cares about who knows where there money is going?

Or the part about Bitcoin being close to instantly also isn't true at all, we pay a disgusting amount in fees (50 cents or so) on a Coffee which at the most should be costing around $5 (Starbucks I'm going on here) that means your paying an extra 10 percent then tax just to use this weird crypto.

Most people just want to use cash or a credit card, much easier and cheaper for them.

Once we fix the scaling issues, MAYBE it could be used for Coffee but I still doubt it.
