4201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try to "gamble" with ponzi scheme crypto scam services? on: November 08, 2020, 07:40:19 PM
The other thread that I've been is differentiating investing and staking, this thread is describing gambling and investing.

Btw, I will not take risk or gamble with ponzi schemes. As obvious, there's no need to take risk my money on it if I'm aware that they can run anytime with my money. That doesn't make sense if you are aware of the scam then you still proceeded.
4202  Economy / Economics / Re: The Difference Between Staking and Investing on: November 08, 2020, 04:51:17 PM
Staking just provide small yearly interest like in a traditional banks but investing give much higher percentage of profit in just a short period of time but it depends on how much, what or where did you invest.
IMHO, then staking = investing.

Based from your description of investing:
Investing is a way to potentially increase the amount of money you have. The goal is to buy financial products, also called investments, and hopefully sell them at a higher price than what you initially paid. .

For example, someone is about to join the staking for Ethereum because it's upcoming and been announced. Then that guy will start to buy at least 32 ETH or not that much if he has already ETH on his stash.

And as he stake, he'll get interest which is considerably a way to increase his money which will be paid in ETH.
4203  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinPlay.org – Bitcoin Gambling Directory on: November 08, 2020, 03:44:09 PM
Lately, there are many gambling reviews website have popping. I don't know if there's something to do with the fluctuations of bitcoin or it's a coincidence.

After a quick look, I see that you have Cloudbet number 1. May we know why you choose to give them the #1 spot?
And also included a lot of other unknown casinos in the list. And to top it all off, also 1xbit in the list.
Don't think that's going to be very popular.
I usually see a reviews website includes unfamiliar casinos. They have their rights to add it and as a visitor, you can read why they've added it on their list. They've rated cloudbet with 5 stars in 4 categories which resulted to an overall 5 star rating.
4204  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BITSLER SCAM OR MISUNDERSTANDIN on: November 07, 2020, 07:18:11 AM
You have already posted this on the bitsler announcement thread, you need to wait for their response. Bitsler won't scam you for that amount, they have been operating and have allowed withdrawals more than you can imagine.

While waiting for bitsler's response, do as what the suggestion I've quoted.

If you sent it to an exchange wallet or custodial service, you should contact their support too so they can credit it to your account. Make sure you explain everything and ask politely.
4205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bloomberg Financial Journalist Tracy Alloway Flips: I'm bullish on BTC now on: November 07, 2020, 06:35:44 AM
We see CNBC is posting bullish news for bitcoin, Bloomberg too. It is interesting... Media is calling for the moon...
There's this belief during the last years that whenever these media outlets are posting bullish about bitcoin, it's time and the opposite thing might happen. Although it's just a myth, these posts that they do are good exposure for bitcoin.

And we might see more of these posts from bitcoin haters turning the tables and getting close to bitcoin investor. It's nice to see someone like her starts to get into bitcoin and we will definitely see more of these people posting their likes about bitcoin, financial analysts, economists and other sort of financial experts that disliked bitcoin before.
4206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top Reasons You Should Know More Before Buying Bitcoin (BTC) on: November 07, 2020, 05:37:36 AM
5. Bitcoin Boost Your Bank Balance
When a newbie reads this, you are misleading them. Bitcoin doesn't boost the bank balance of anyone. There's no interconnection for bitcoin and bank balances. I get what you are trying to say here that our bank balances will increase once we profit from bitcoin.

But a newbie will be encouraged quickly for this reason. You know, when money talks, a lot of people listen. And if a newbie does have that decision without thinking, he's now a misled investor that invested due to the words of encouragement without understanding what he's invested.
4207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Are tokens the answer to a corona-savaged European football industry? on: November 07, 2020, 03:34:58 AM
Football has never been a good business. A closer look at the numbers shows that the industry is always losing money, crisis or not. Yet, revenue, transfers and player wages keep rising, cause most of the time along comes a wealthy investor or loyal fans ready to pick up the bill.  So who will pick up the bill now that most industries have been hit hard by the new Corona crisis global phenom.
Then if Football isn't a profitable business and never have been, why is it that those transfers are making money? They are part of the business and those players are making money, their teams and other staff that are part of building the football business.

Possible solution: Tokens.  Now, you can tokenize everything.  Possibilities are endless, even IP rights and social followings may be included in the future.
They tokenized the voting rights but does it affect the whole football business? No need to think that much about the football industry, they were even back in action but with protocols following the health and safety standards against covid.
4208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will There Be a New ATH in 2020? on: November 06, 2020, 07:52:12 PM
History will repeat itself but if it's another ATH, no one knows.

Just because we're about to approach the end of the year and there's the same pumped that occurred, that doesn't mean that we're doing the same this year.

The best thing that we can do while speculating is to buy and hold if we think it's coming soon.
4209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we headed to a new all time high now that momentum is very high on: November 06, 2020, 12:27:05 PM
I avoid to have timeframes or exact month but for certain years like 2021 and 2022. These are the years where many are hoping to have that bull run that we all want. Even if there will be new all-time high to be seen.

What's important is the yearly lows. What's with that?

As long as we see a high yearly low, that's still a good sign that we're heading to the bull run.
4210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are you aware of these Top Five Decentralized Exchanges (DEXEs)? on: November 06, 2020, 04:02:24 AM
Uniswap is the first and best among the decentralized exchanges.
It wasn't actually the first dex that have ever existed. There were a lot of them before Uniswap came. It just so happened that Uniswap was launched during the Decentralized Finance projects and it was an advantage for it that the attention took by it.

It has unarguably fueled the DeFi hype by solving the liquidity problem bedevling DEX. Then I will choose Tokenlon, Balancer, 1inch exchange, and Pancake swap. These other exchanges are coming up and trying their best as AMM protocols.
The swap exchanges came but there were also other known swaps that have existed before them. These exchanges or swaps that you have mentioned are not common, I haven't dwelled into any of those and they're quite new to me.
4211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big BTC transfer (69,369 BTC) from unknown wallet to unknown on: November 06, 2020, 01:27:21 AM
A thread was made 3 days ago addressing that wallet transfer and there's a long and ongoing discussion on that thread.

Thread: One of the top 10 btc wallets hacked?

4212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 06, 2020, 12:31:52 AM
OMG, this is not a huge amount, this political massive bet should be on the top 3 losers list.
I guess you misplaced "not" as it's a really huge amount of bet. And the article says that this is the biggest bet for politics ever been recorded. There could be some underground or any sort of rich people's club that are gambling like this but it's for the record the biggest.

The election hasn't ended yet, the 270 votes haven't met by Biden but as we see, the chance of winning the bet is at the lowest.

Biden is not announced as the winner of the election, but he has tweeted on social media about the odds of winning against Trump. Maybe it is time to call Biden a Mr. President, it is very sad to watch crazy gamblers in all sections of this industry.
He hasn't claimed it but he's eager to say because he's leading.
4213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin serves good reason but might be not right one on: November 05, 2020, 05:40:55 PM
Depends to your purpose and acceptance. If that's what you think about bitcoin and USDT, you can always opt to accept USDT or any stable coins than to accept bitcoin.

if they do so much bad things with crypto guess what ? we can all leave crypto and cash is king again.
They can't with bitcoin.
4214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Negative House Edge Crypto Casino on: November 05, 2020, 01:24:14 PM
One thing came to my mind fastly when you've said about negative house edge and that is the sustainability of your casino. But as you've said that you'll have your token, then that's the key and answer to that thought.

But to tell you, there were casino projects before that completely rely on their tokens but it didn't do them well at the end. Having that start of making a casino and make use of your token and with the exchange with it, you'll have to do a lot of things to make it known by most people inside and outside the forum.
4215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Stays Above USD 13,000, Altcoins Take Hit on: November 05, 2020, 12:17:53 PM
Looking at the chart at coinmarketcap, I noticed bitcoin big jump which wasn't followed by a similar jump in the rest of altcoins. It was kind of classic to see that!
I was also waiting for the jump of altcoins but it seemed not to happen or not yet to happen. Jumped to $14,600 in an instant yet the altcoins which we have thought of going as the highways of bitcoin didn't do.

But if we'll acknowledge it, there were times before that the market was like this. Bitcoin's jump opposes the altcoins and vice versa and later, they will jump together.
4216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The main driving force behind bitcoin rally on: November 05, 2020, 11:23:31 AM
With strong bitcoin bullish trend I was asking myself: what is the main driving force? In my opnion it's not retail traders or mass adoption, it's insitutional money that keep flowing in and pushing the price higher. What do you think?
It could be the main factor of the recent push that we're witnessing. I don't even know what's the real reason behind the pump but do you think that there's any relation to the US election?

Inevitable effects of halving are felt now.
Yes.

We can't ignore the effect of the halving just like the 2016 halving then effect took on 2017 ATH. But this time, are we getting an early effect?
4217  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinsbit KYC on: November 05, 2020, 09:42:57 AM
Why you need someone from PK for the KYC application on that exchange? Details are lacking and someone who will read your post can conclude that you're asking someone to use his id for the approval. But if that speculation is right, can't you do it on your own and use your own details and identifications for it?

If not, are you also from PK and you're asking some tips how to get approved on that exchange?
4218  Economy / Gambling / Re: Find out about the Best Bitcoin Casinos or any other Casinos ;) on: November 05, 2020, 08:40:30 AM
Haven't you reviewed the most popular casinos from this forum? I see that the most you have reviewed aren't familiar in the forum or at least for me. There are very few names that I'm familiar but most of them are not.

What's also that notification at the top right with the message icon with "4" which is attractive to click. But I've never clicked that because I can't see where it and what link it will head me after clicking it.
4219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price are decreasing? on: November 04, 2020, 10:33:32 PM
Price has been reacting positively since the weekend, I thought it would be more neutral to negative.  However we have regained the weekly and 2 day average for quite positive momentum, Im not sure if thats just following the main markets blindly or not.

...

Im finding it hard to judge right now, I guess the news is making for murky price prediction but we cant say its acting negatively and in fact there are high expectations presently.   I always take over expectation as a danger somewhat.
It's worrying if the expectations are becoming too much in the market. That psychological impact has been threaded to my mind after the bull run when most of the people expected that bull runs are going to last forever and that's specifically during the eoy of 2017.

We can't be sure if the elections has something to do with the reaction of bitcoin reaching $14,000 or it's naturally growing. And just like the sequence that we're all thinking, maybe it's following it. Really can't tell if it is.
4220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my situation with bitcoin how it helped me real use case today on: November 04, 2020, 09:43:52 PM
It's truly amazing that you can receive it without using any third party. I guess you and your friend would love to have and use bitcoin most of the time when you're going to send money to each other.

You can sell and convert it to cash anytime you want but it's best if you'll keep it as it is. Let your friend know more about bitcoin and give him the tutorials that you know that you can find in the forum. Didn't he have difficulties in making a wallet, loading it with bitcoin and sending it if he has never made one before?
