4201  Other / Meta / Re: ICO thread needed on: May 14, 2018, 12:43:31 PM
Do you mean thread or board? Special board for ICOs already exists - it's called Tokens (Altcoins) and most ANNs there are ICOs and a few non-ICO tokens as well (airdrop only tokens etc.)
If you mean thread for ICOs, then you can make it yourself if you want. Do you mean like a list of all ICOs, some basic info about them and trust rating (from trusted to SCAM)? But that is not a job for moderators.
I bet he means board and at the same time can't explain his aim. There is right section to open ICO threads and there is no way to automatically make it appear scam or honest project.
But just to remind, there was discussion about making opening of ICO thread pricey, for example 2-3 btc or higher for some reasons.
4202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is facebook creating their own crypto? on: May 13, 2018, 07:24:05 PM
Heard a rumor that facebook  was thinking about launching their own crypto. What do you guys think about this?

Would also love your feedback on Algebraix. App that keeps your data private and pays you to watch ads. how do you think they will measure up to the advertising giants like facebook and google?
Where did you hear that "rumors". I highly doubt, they banned adverts of all ICO/cryptorelated things and if they launch their coin, it will be another explotion after fb's privacy issues.
My feedback on Algebraix isn't good. Firstly I don't want anyone to "keep" my data "private" and then, they can't beat fb or google in advertising. Just see google adsense, their CPC and etc, it's the most amazing thing for advertisers, there is no better alternative and I highly doubt anyone will pay more than google.
4203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Only 5 coins u need to hold on: May 10, 2018, 10:56:56 PM
Very interesting thread but please when you write those five coins, please write explanations too (Why did you choose that coin?).
My top1 is bitcoin because of it's structure, popularity and decentralization, it's first cryptocurrency which become popular and there is a reason behind it.
Next one would be ether, this is the greatest altcoin ever made because of it's smart contracts and etc, it's very unique and developed.
3rd - litecoin because it's just alt bitcoin.
4th would be bitcoin cash. Why? Because bitmain is behind this project and almost everything they do has great success.
5th - let's make it a secret for a while.
4204  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why do people continue to invest in cloudmining? on: May 10, 2018, 10:37:52 PM
I've been on here trying to get more and more people away from cloud mining, telling them that their either getting into a scam or they're just not going to make a profit (or their money back at all) but still more and more people get into cloud mining and lose out and then complain.

Why is it that people get into cloud mining? Why can't they see the writing on the walls that they're not going to do well and they should be doing other things?
Wish, wish of easy money. What does cloud mining offers? Easy money, you just sit, eat, sleep and money comes, amazing yeah? You just invest 1000$ and can get good profit + you don't have to care about equipments nor buy them, only contracts. And in this situation if you tell people that it's fake, they say that you are silly and know nothing in innovative technologies. So don't worry about them, at least they'll learn and never repeat once lose money in cloud mining themselves.
4205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can I slowdown someone's transaction? on: May 10, 2018, 10:20:34 PM
In a word, No.

Unless you can convince ALL the nodes not to propagate said transaction... or unless you can convince ALL the miners not to include a specific transaction, there is a chance that a miner will "see" the transaction and include it in a block. Your chances of getting ALL the nodes and miners to do this is practically zero.

Why on earth would you want to slow down a transaction? Are you considering some sort of DoS attack on a specific user/address? Huh
No, that's not my intention, I just got an interesting question (at least interesting for me) and wanted to hear opinions about it's possibility.
Just imagine someone receives transaction for very bad job ans you discovered this transaction, want to slowdown it or reject, what can you do?
On another hand if you have stuck transaction, you can speed up so why can't you to slowdown it?
Thanks everyone for answers...
4206  Economy / Economics / Re: What is with Buffett and Gates? on: May 10, 2018, 09:58:15 PM
What does either of them have to gain by saying Bitcoin and other cryptos are a sham? They have more money than anyone else on Earth, and the fact is that cryptocurrencies have made many people wealthy. So how do we surmise that they have created an opinion that hurts the value, therefore taking away value and wealth from others, and to no value for themselves?
I believe that both of them have done a lot of good in the world. They have started programs that include health, education and research in some of the poorest places on Earth. The have brough food, access to clean water, and many other projects, like hospitals and schools.
But I believe that when one is enormously rich, one can believe that they know a lot about everything. They have the notion that they must be right most of the time, and that their opinions are based upon the idea that they became wealthy because they made a lot of smart decisions. And that is quite true.
But postulating on the value and longevity of something that fills a need but is not entirely understood is in my opinion not in their wheelhouse. I think that until crypto is understood and accepted by more people and institutions, people of power should not show ignorance? about something that is developing around them. We may be buying computers and software and stocks in the near future with coins that are being denigrated today.
You may know their history, how they achieved so great success. Their every moment was only "develope" and also as your mentioned, their choices were right too. It makes them mentally more confident (that's they key of win sometimes), they look things differently and sometimes don't like things what other people likes and believe they are all wrong. That's my opinion and I think that's a real reason, why does he hates bitcoin. If we think more deeply, it can be because he would never/ever be able to create such an amazing coin.
4207  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: the most profitable coin if invested? on: May 10, 2018, 09:39:43 PM
Guys how can you look some coins as possibly the most profitable coin ever? Especially alts?
Everyone knows bitcoin's first prices and highest one, if we compare them, we get skyrocket profit, the most profitable thing ever. It would be the most proditable coin if invested back in 2008.
Now? How can we dermine it or how can you trust blindly? Cmon man, read much and choose yourself, investor invests himself/herself and everything is on his/her own.
4208  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How much cost to pay someone to set up faucet (and basic tutorial) on: May 10, 2018, 08:47:10 PM
Don't know, how can we answer? It's better for you to contact developers: Best bet dor you, if you want qualitier website, is themeforest developers (well, Envato developers because themeforest is under envato or see codecanyon section, well visit envato.com and you'll find everything). They are very talented, they sell scripts but I think if you contact them, you can have a deal and ask them for a price too (contact different developers, choose them by their works). But I think it will be pricey, at least you get what you pay for.
4209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the 51% Network Hack on: May 10, 2018, 08:18:26 PM
I have created similar thread too but my idea was uniting of two giant mining companies.
At first community plays a great role here, our thoughts are very important for others and yes, it's not a lie or dream.
No one will do it logically because they need to exchange bitcoins somewhere, if they go against others, exchangers can to go against them or even people can panic and dramatically fall prise.
You'll read very interesting post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3308081.msg35130290#msg35130290
4210  Economy / Speculation / Re: The connection between economic sanctions, instability and Rise in Bitcoin price on: May 10, 2018, 07:47:13 PM
Didn't the US government restricted its banks to make dealings with Iran? And also, AFAIK the government itself isn't the one who bought bitcoins but rather its citizens who wished to still do dealing outside of their country. It's the only way in the mean time to continue transactions and to purchase whatever it is that's not available in their country. It could also be a means of storing wealth if you want to put it that way, though they can always buy gold which, I think for the mean time isn't accessible to them.
Buying bitcoin publicly from goverment? It's a shame, yes. US did a good job but they are very loyal, they don't try anything to make something difficult, just shit sanctions but in this situation I am amazed why they decided to do this.
Bitcoin is great for storingor wealth as you call it because if anything happens and your bank account or etc gots closed or you have loan, no one can touch your bitcoins.
Best time never exists in buying of bitcoin!
4211  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I need serious advice on: May 10, 2018, 06:47:49 PM
If I were you, I would accept advertisement offers from those companies. Your coin has no value + it's your own creation so I can't ubderstand how do you collect your own coins?
It's bettee foe you to collect finances and develope or do other things because creatinf ICO is hard alone and you need to meet developers, pr managers and etc, so it needs even more finances.
4212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Purchase of weak video cards. on: May 10, 2018, 05:35:51 PM
Hello!
There is an opportunity to buy video cards with 1-2 GB of RAM.
Is there any point in putting them in the farm?

If you do not get coins on the algorithm of Ethash?
I think it doesn't worth currently. Even if you buy bulk it may be worthy but look thinga differently: Where are you going to sell those cards? No one wants used and old cards + consider the fact that 1-2 gb won't be enough soon.
If I were you, I would buy good cards in any way.
4213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Can I slowdown someone's transaction? on: May 09, 2018, 10:43:47 PM
Maybe sounds a little bit foolish from me but is it possible to slowdown someone's transaction?
We can manually accelerate any transaction if we own pools or at least pay for including specific tx in list of other pools (antpool, viabtc and etc). But isn't there any way to slow down it? Something like this: Choose target transaction and include in your list but stuck it.
4214  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: May 09, 2018, 09:51:52 PM
Full story:

On the 8th of March, I was betting on FortuneJack, suddenly my account gets logged out, and moments later I get an email from support@fortunejack.com telling me that someone has made a withdrawal, which I ofcourse denied and told them to cancel it immidietely. I will show you the screeenshots of our Email conversation here.

They asked me what account I'd like to keep, and I explained and told them I'd like to keep the one I was only playing on, right after that, within minutes, my account gets blocked, no response at all from Fortunejack, and they refused to give any explanations.

I tried for days contactnig them on live support, finally I get some response. and here it goes:

So, they won't give me an explaination why they closed my Account, no ToS was broken, I'd say, stay far away from this site, regards.

You could open thread in Scam Accusation section if you feel they are guilty and scammers.
Seems on email they asked you which to choose alive but on chat, they ask the same + request verification which I think isn't what they need (How much did you withdraw?).
Wish you success, they aren't scammers and I think your problem will be solved. You did great job by posting here (more attantion from staff).

Arr you looking for a members which will work for no money and their only motivation will be this project and it's aim? Because as you said you don't want contracted workers. 4216  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to buy on ebay with bitcoin on: May 09, 2018, 07:54:16 PM
How can I buy goods on ebay with bitcoin (So that I can make refund, if something does not work or it's broken)

Who knows the method?

Buy a Bitcoin Debit Card  and then shop on eBay normally

See more information on this thread

Bitcoin Debit Card UQUID

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1485950.0
oh, +1 this one and also still if you don't want to own bitcoin debit card (don't know why some people wants direct btc transaction), you can ask here someone trustworthy to buy something for you from ebay or if you own paypal, exchange your bitcoins here. Otherwise there is no way to buy anything with bitcoin on ebay, nor amazon and etc.
4217  Economy / Economics / Re: What if all the governments of the country united to strictly prohibit the exist on: May 08, 2018, 09:30:51 PM
Perhaps one day with the current bitcoin advances, bitcoin digital currencies will be an international currency for all countries, and make it easier for every human to make transactions between countries when going to another country.
if it happens in the future it will certainly affect the paper money that exists around the world, whereas we know when the banknotes have a lot of history and symbolize the diversity of a country with other countries.
if that happens, surely the government will not remain silent on the matter, there will be an agreement between state governments to immediately close the bitcoin network to the world.
what will you do if you have a lot of bitcoin.
Sorry but I think you can't analyze what you write, not only you but rest of people too.
Is bitcoin local currency? No. Can you send bitcoin from any place to anywhere? Yes. It won't affect paper money because as you see bitcoin's value is determined in usd or other currencies. Paper money can be reprinted but lost bitcoins can't be renewed. Goverment does nothing, they even can't ban torrents and dark marketplaces.
4218  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂🎁NEW UPDATE★★★50% REFERRAL COMMISSION★★★🎁 on: May 08, 2018, 08:34:54 PM
The 25 billionth roll event has ended and I congratulated to all the lucky ones. Btw, as I see during the event, especially for event number 2, we seem to be losing the attention of the majority of users. Most players say that it is very difficult to participate in the event because the min bet required for the events are slightly higher for them. Most users want bitsler to come back with the previous events during the milestones. It is when the site becomes so crowded with users who are vying for numbers 11.11 and so on.
When there is an higher min bet required, it grows players possibility to win because less people participate, it's good on another hand but since everyone wants to try luck with some satoshies. Also on another side, less traffic means less load on servers and they need it sometimes.
Maybe they'll return with previus returns because they do all their best to make this website comfortable for players.
4219  Other / Meta / Re: Could we have news/article section only for news and articles? on: May 08, 2018, 06:55:49 PM
Press section should be locked/archived in my opinion. More hassle than it's worth these days with people just posting any article that vaguely mentions something to do with crypto. It's mostly just alt spam anyway and a place sig spammers can get away with legally copy and pasting.
Agreed, there is no need of press section as of now. If anyone wants to see some articles, there are websites like cointelegraph, nytimes (bitcoin section) and a lot. People here just copy news from those websites and that's all, forum's free space and resources are wastes for nothing.
Currently no one writes unique and gramatically correct articles in this section.
4220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Blockchain Survive Without Bitcoin on: May 08, 2018, 05:02:26 PM

Blockchain Technology was driven to fame by its application on Bitcoin Gold due to its encryption that has been considered hacker proof. Bitcoin has been used as a reference to its success, providing a secure network for users.

The question however is, can blockchain succeed without bitcoin?
it might happen if there are coins that can match the success and superiority of bitcoin because we also know that bitcoin is the pioneer of crypto currency creation, and chances are also Blockchain will also disappear if bitcoin is lost, we all can not know for sure it's all that matters take advantage of the current opportunities to invest with bitcoin
Coins have to do nothing for keeping blockchain technology alive and even if bitcoin fails in future (which I highly doubt because we can fork it and suit everything on our needs), blockchain technology will be implented on different things. For example Georgia is the first country which has blockchain based land titling service.
