4201  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] SimpleFX.com - forex broker with BTC and LTC crosses and 1:500 leverage on: September 09, 2020, 02:53:24 PM
As a trader If I deposited with Bitcoin into your trading platform will the value of btc shows the same value with USD  in the platform or value in same BTC deposited or both?

Secondly after depositing with BTC what happen if the value of BTC dumps or decline in the global market is it going to affect the value of bitcoin deposited? or BTC is stored and having a fixed value in your hot or cold wallet?

1) SimpleFX offers Bitcoin denominated accounts. If you deposit 0.1 BTC to SimpleFX, you will have 0.1 BTC in your SimpleFX account, not depended on BTC vs USD price. As an addition, we offer "preview currency" which shows your Bitcoin account value in USD in SimpleFX WebTrader.

2) 99% Bitcoins are stored in cold wallet. If there is BTC price movement, you will still own the same amount of BTC. However, trading conditions, profit/ loss may be depended on BTC vs USD, since most of our symbols are denominated in USD.
It is not possible to fix the value of your stored BTC in USD, it will always be affected by current BTC/USD market value.
Thanks for your response
Another question as a user of Mt4 trading platform how do I change the value of New Order ie lot size when the lowest one ie default is 0.01 while my account balance is BTC denomination instead of the usual USD where lot sizes can easily be calculated when considering risk.

4203  Economy / Economics / Re: In COVID-19 everyone needs motivation on: September 09, 2020, 07:28:14 AM
I don't know what motivation is needed for those who have lost loved ones due to this virus. At least in the near future, it will be difficult to accept. Everything else is not so sad and positive aspects can be found in everything. Those who have lost their jobs have an incentive to find additional income on the Internet, those who have long dreamed of being with their family - now is the perfect moment. In the end, the biggest plus is that nature will take a break from human intervention and people themselves will rethink their attitude to it.

I have always said this. If someone loses his job, it is his fault. People need to enhance their knowledge, by learning new skills which are useful in the job market. I know people who have been doing the same job for 30 or 40 years continuously. Even they need to realize that their jobs are not secure. Learning never stops and it helps you to get an advantage in the job market when compared to others.

The current situation has nothing to do with skills and knowledge. Some people lost their job due to the economic situation. Some were forced to lay-off employees, some had completely closed their businesses. However, it is true nothing is permanent that is why learning new sets of knowledge and skill to expand your job opportunity is needed. Especially now that most people are seeking jobs if you have a wide experience and skill, that will be your edge and advantage.
Personally I knew some freelancers with vast skills but couldn't get online job due to this pandemic my submission is that there is a global economic crisis which might linger on for some time unless a vaccine is discovered to find a permanent  solution or cure to covid-19 else the world will continue to battle with virus.
Motivation is much needed now to keep hope alive losses as a result of devastating effect of the virus is catastrophic hence we have to motivate ourselves to move on and stay save.
4204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: September 09, 2020, 06:33:13 AM
There is no point in insisting that supermarkets should accept direct payments in Bitcoin. I am converting my Bitcoins to Amazon gift cards using some of the websites and in turn using these gift cards to make payments at the supermarkets (some of the supermarkets here in India accept Amazon Pay for payments). Else you can convert Bitcoin to Big Bazaar or More gift cards.
Amazon gift cards is a better and convenient means of payment in supermarkets for now, transaction via Bitcoin is more expensive and considering the number of confirmation before the supermarket acknowledged the receipt of the bitcoin is time consuming maybe when the Lightning Network is perfected then swift means of payment using Bitcoin might work.
Government regulations of bitcoin is another bottleneck that might hinder the acceptance of bitcoin in supermarkets, some government insisted on monitoring peer to peer transactions of businesses for taxation etc
4205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 09, 2020, 12:54:58 AM
Belgium should be able to beat Iceland relatively easily today, and I guess Belgium should be able to score more than 2 goals against Iceland at the final whistle
It is already 20 minutes in the game and Belgium scored 2 goals after it already received one from Iceland!
For Croatia game, it is interestingly leading with 1 goal vs France  Wink
Belgium eventually won the game by walloping Iceland 5-1 Michy Batshuayi scoring two goals in the match I thought the Icelanders will match their

opponent and gave them a run for their money 5n the match but I was highly disappointed

France also won their match against Croatia 4-2 was the final score with both Antoine Griezmann and Olivier Giroud scoring a goal apiece in the absence

of highly rated duo of Pogba and Mbappe.
4206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Safety first before trading on: September 08, 2020, 11:33:47 PM
Safety need for everything not only for a wallet. I think everyone needs risk management safety. Suppose if you invest $1000 and got some standard profit you should backup your $1000 to full free from any tension if don't has much money. And sure before investing you should know where are you investing.

Investing properly is another part of managing your resources. You need to do a research on the project because money management won't matter if the project isn't progressing. I bought a coin in the past but after few months it dropped 200% and I was left with nothing .

Yes two major factors to be considered are money management and choosing the right and appropriate coin for investment, we are all aware of the numerous numbers of coins flooding the cryptosphere, of course there are numerous coins that doesn't worth investing on, any investor that made a wrong choice will amount to losing the investment ie a situation where the coin dumped massively as you rightly said, managing the coin is another factor after making profit as in taking profit at the appropriate time and percentage values while leaving the portfolio to grow.
4207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: September 08, 2020, 06:20:32 AM
Denmark vs England today, will be a good test for the English after a less than impressive victory against Iceland. They will have to be much better, Denmark are no pushovers.
England need to raise up their game today against Denmark, both team had mixed head to head records in the past matches so its gonna be a tough game for both team.
England last match against Iceland isn't a true test for southgate tutored squad, it's going to be a must win match for England to place them in better position in the nation league, No doubt today's match will be keenly contested I am predicting England to win this match with 2-0 I hope to watch harry kane and sterling attacking with full force and firing on all cylinder.
4208  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Buy and Hold Really the Best Strategy in Crypto? on: September 08, 2020, 04:52:42 AM
Buy and hodl is much applicable to cryptocurrencies trading and might not work in forex trading and other trading where according to statistic almost 95% lose their money whereas crypto trading had become a safe haven or better alternative even for inexperienced or newbie trader to make profit by just following the simple rule of buying low and selling high although this also requires some little knowledge however its much more better than the other trading that requires vast knowledge in Technical and Fundamental analysis and the trader must be well groomed by a mentor in other to be profitable in a long run.
4209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinmarketcap's New Feature "Earn" on: September 07, 2020, 09:22:15 PM
I like this new feature of earning band coin embarked by both binance and coinmarketcap I believed this is geared towards helping newbies to learn how to transact cryptos as in sending, buying and exchanging of coin between wallets, such move will give a chance to any newbie to practically transact band coin instead of the usual way of just reading articles and comments on how to do all these things, this singular act embarked both by binance and CMC will encourage more participation and adoption of cryptocurrencies by many people.
4210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting: how much knowledge is too much on: September 07, 2020, 07:09:25 PM
There is no "limit" or anything knows as "too much" knowledge. Sports better depends little on luck, but more on information you gather. For example, if a weak team plays against a strong team, you are pretty much sure which team is going to win because of that knowledge and this is also how odds are set. Betting on weak team gives you higher payout when they win. The more knowledge you gain about a team, the better the chance of you predicting the winning team!
Yes, it would be very good if we had no limitations regarding knowledge, because in sports betting and other types of gambling it would still require us to use the skills we have. When we don't have knowledge, then how can we hone those skills if we don't have knowledge, so that knowledge and having a lot of information is really necessary. Even though when gambling the luck factor is very necessary, basically we will not know when we will be lucky, because bad luck will always accompany it and that's when our knowledge is needed to be able to make a win.

Exactly. Knowledge is the a vital weapon in sports betting, or gambling in general.
Knowledge about the game and team are substantial in determining which team to bet on.
And if a situation challenges you, you will know what strategies to use because of your knowledge.
Using soccer as an example you must have the knowledge about the teams involved and must have been a follower of a particular league and knowing the strong teams and the weaker ones example in EPL Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, Man utd and Arsenal are strong team placing bet against any of those team losing a match to a weak team amount to losing that bet, there are other leagues out too there, these are  some of the skills needed to be acquired in other to avoid betting blindly and losing bets
4211  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bounce Back is coming? on: September 06, 2020, 09:26:12 PM
not for now, we will see BTC in the range of 9000, maybe it will be deeper if the next resistance can be broken.
I'm sure people will think that too because right now the market is in a deep downturn.

I am not seeing that bad crash this time and may be it may stay in 10k range for some time and to me seems to be a good buying opportunity here and those who were waiting for this dip its good time to enter market and again it will bounce back quickly to 11k upwards. Do not want to miss this bull ride from here.

Your analysis is on point the crash can't go below $10K+ a strong support is at that zone which might reject the price although some analyst predicted the decline to reach $9K of course the price had been consolidating above $10K an indication that it might not dump further, a good opportunity for buyers to enter the market already the price had dipped.
The  next pump or bounce back is expected to reach between $12K and $13K.
4212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Bitcoin giveaway scams and how can you avoid them on: September 06, 2020, 06:40:08 PM
This is the problem why newbies get scammed easily because they don't know anything yet.
Just remember this line "if it's too good to be true, then it's prolly a scam".
And also, there are no free in this world–it is either you pay or work for that something to get it.
Always do your own research, it will be very helpful in the future.

I agree. Especially if the reward on a giveaway is a huge amount, the other party will surely ask for something in return like promoting them or getting them certain number of audience. Always be skeptical, that is the golden rule when in comes to dealing with anything over the internet.

Newbies can be easily carried away with huge mouth-watering and giveaway dangled at them, in fact it will even be an herculean task to convince some of them that those giveaway are scam mere mention of Vitalik Buterin to some them will assumed its real coupled with the fact that a reputable and credible social media like YouTube is advertising the giveaway, a lot sensitization has to be done to prevent newbies against falling for these scams the OP had did justice to these issues its left for newbies to learn and understand how scammers operates using social media.
4213  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What advice will you give to a beginner trader? on: September 06, 2020, 03:50:15 PM
Hey,

I would like to know some advice and information which will be really helpful in my trading journey. I have invested $500 for the start and I am willing to learn and invest more.

The advice I gave myself in these 2 weeks is that If any of my coin investment is going low in price, I just need to hold and wait for it to come back at the profit level.

I am sure we have traders here with vast experience.
Really excited to learn new things.
The bottom line is that did you research well before deciding to invest in that particular coin? is the coin a good coin with future prospect? and not those pump and dump coin, if it is a good coin don't worry about the price declining now the present drop cuts across almost all the cryptocurrencies probably a major price price pullback or correction is being experienced, the choice of hodling the coin is the bet for now after the price correction a massive pumping of the price is imminent definitely you earn some profit in a long run.
4214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not fall for all DeFi HYPES on: September 06, 2020, 01:29:54 PM
I think the DeFi hype is quite similar to the ICO hype. When ICOs were getting launched in 2017 it gained the investors attention and people started throwing their money in every ICOs. Many scammers used this as an opportunity to scam people in the name of ICO.
I think DeFi projects are going through the same trend but with lesser attention than ICOs back in those days.
But still there are many investors who are throwing their money in DeFi projects blindly.
Stay awake guys. Not all the DeFi projects will turn out to be a huge success.
So invest your money wisely and only after researching the project thoroughly.
By the time this trending hype of DeFi projects subsides a lot of investors will realized that they had been scammed, every tom, dick and harry are now interested in DeFi projects, whereas there are other non DeFi profitable and credible projects that worth investing on, some investors will never learn from their past mistakes of throwing their hard earned money into fake ICOs then I wouldn't blame them because of the impression of earning huge profits quickly by investing in DeFis which had been the present talk in the crypto world.
4215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: September 06, 2020, 09:56:39 AM
Many are actually addicted to gambling that causes their lives to be ruined. Remember that even if we win in gambling it will also be lost especially if we do not have self-discipline. So if we win big, it is better to stop gambling and force ourselves to change for the
people who love us because they will also be affected in case we have a big debt due to our gambling addiction.
Reading all the comments and post indicates that gambling can not rekt but ruin a gambler's life it so sad that a lot of them committed suicide because of lack of self discipline as you rightly said, I don't know why a gambler would gamble with such an outrageous huge sum of money without considering the consequences of losing, a lot of  them are homeless and penniless while some had resorted to begging to survive, its high government should regulate the amount money spent on gambling to checkmate these excesses squandering of money in bid to become rich overnight.
4216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without setting stop loss (Risky or Not)? on: September 05, 2020, 03:43:15 PM
Cryptocurrencies price movement are very volatile thus I ensured that all my trades are traded with a wide stop loss, a losing trade can rekt an account without a stop loss, you might have been trading successfully without a stop loss even with a high leverage this is absolutely very risky you might have been a bit lucky that it has been working well for you, may be its due to the present market sentiment that favors your trading methodology, cryptocurrencies can massively dump within a short period of time invariably wiping an account completely especially when price manipulation is taking place, Experienced traders do encourage the use of stop loss to protect an account.
4217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gambling in the wake of covid-19 on: September 05, 2020, 07:04:31 AM
A questionnaire for everyone here:
Quote
Are you a problem gambler?
Try this questionnaire:

Do you bet more than you can afford to lose?
Do you need to gamble with larger amounts of money to get the same feeling?
Have you tried to win back money you have lost (chasing losses)?
Have you borrowed money or sold anything to get money to gamble?
Have you wondered whether you have a problem with gambling?
Has your gambling caused you any health problems, including feelings of stress or anxiety?
Have other people criticised your betting or told you that you had a gambling problem (regardless of whether or not you thought it was true)?
Has your gambling caused any financial problems for you or your household?
Have you ever felt guilty about the way you gamble or what happens when you gamble?
Score 0 for each time you answer "never"
Score 1 for each time you answer "sometimes"
Score 2 for each time you answer "most of the time"
Score 3 for each time you answer "almost always"

If your total score is 8 or higher, you may be a problem gambler.
source
[/quote]

1. never = 0
2. never = 0
3. sometimes = 1
3. never = 0
4. sometimes = 1
5. never = 0
6. never = 0
7. never  = 0
8. sometimes = 1
This questionnaire is very helpful and useful in checking my addiction to gambling above all my total scorecard was 3 which I believe is normal as far as my addiction to gambling is concerned during this covid-19 period although due to low income earned my gambling stakes also dwindled because I gambled with the amount of money I can afford to lose and not tampering with my family income .
4218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker Stole 1,000 Traders’ Personal Data From CryptoTrader.Tax on: September 04, 2020, 04:30:48 AM
Thats why is better to not share with anyone any kind of personal data in crypto
Personally I think an insider must have been involved in the security breach involving cryptoTrader.Tax, he must have been responsible for sharing some important and vital documents for the hacker to gain easy access to the site so as to perpetuate the crime,  hackers are getting sophisticated in their performing the dastardly act of hacking thus exchanges and other crypto sites must ensure that their security firewall must be well fortified.
A through investigation must be made to ascertain those involved and an arrest must be made, while those culpable for the hack must be prosecuted this will serve as deterrent to other hackers.
4219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your plans for the coming bull on: September 03, 2020, 06:47:40 PM
Definitely in the upcoming bull run I will have the opportunity of selling half of my portfolio having missed out in the last one in 2017 I was carried away by some speculators then who predicted that the price of bitcoin will hit $50K unfortunately price dumped massively the rest is now a story.
I hope the bulls season should be in the not too distant future, although the price of bitcoin is presently experiencing a massive dump or minor correction while the price is rejected by a support at $10400+ hopefully the bullish run will resume till the next resistance zone at $13000+.

4220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many listed coins on exchange without volume, any reasons? on: September 03, 2020, 02:31:35 PM
It obvious that higher trading volum = more liquidity. liquidity refers to the ability of a coin to be converted into cash or other coins easily. Liquidity is important for any tradeable assets including cryptocurrencies.
Unfortunately, I have obversed that most coins listed this days on certain exchanges are without volume, that is, illiquid.
It is very clear that this situation was not common found before 2019.
What could be the reasons for this abnormalities. Your thoughts.
Some of those exchanges even faked the volume of those shit coins in a bid to deceive unsuspecting investors I always emphasis on and encourage any crypto investor to properly research for coins with more liquidity and volume and traded in a reputable exchange to avoid falling into a wrong hand ie exchange there are numerous untrusted not credible exchanges are out there in cryptosphere who are capitalizing on the non regulation of cryptos by involving shady deals to scam or defraud investors.
