4201  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Another KYC requirements ng coins.ph? on: August 01, 2022, 09:22:49 AM
I received a notice of account closure.

Non-appealable, sabi din, to protect the integrity of their procedures, they will not be able to provide a thorough explanation of the reason my account is closed. They just said to refer to their ToS.

This sucks.. a lot.

I'm really sorry to hear this news, talagang masakit na matanggap tong balita na to. Or anong violation ba talaga sa ToS nila?

4202  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the possibility Bitcoin will rise before the end of the year ? on: August 01, 2022, 08:46:09 AM
I like these types of topics, but I have read so many answers, that in the end they do not give one like the one I would like to see, but I understand that it is complicated, nobody is a fortune teller, many bet that this year the bitcoin will rise, others say that for the Next year, according to analysts, some articles assure that it will not happen, but how to have all these possibilities and condense them into 1? I think it is something semi-impossible, because who has the truth? not even in a crystal ball, the most sensible thing is to buy what you can for when it increases to have the maximum possible bitcoin.

What do you mean? do you just want to hear that "yeah the price will be in $100,000 or higher at the end of the year".

At least people are trying to give us sensible price prediction. Instead of telling us ridiculous price that it's not even achievable. Of course, we can't predict the future, we don't have the crystal ball. But at least based on the price movement and the current sentiments that we have, the price might not go that high before the end of 2022.
4203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most trusted stable coin currently (in your opinion)? on: August 01, 2022, 08:17:40 AM
I will just talk about the stable coins that I have so far used, and that is USDT.

So far, although I have heard about a lot of negative things regarding this coins since like 2018, I still used them and so far it was good as far as my experience goes. So I will say that for me, it will be USDT. I don't want to used the word 'trust' though as it is subjective. But maybe because it was the first stable coin (as far as I know), and that is why up to this day, although there are a lot of better options, crypto investors are still using them.
4204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange will go out of business of every Bitcoin is hold in private wallet on: August 01, 2022, 07:59:51 AM
Bitcoin is already winning the war against the centralization of Bitcoin services, and a lot of Bitcoin holders are beginning to realize the safety of their Bitcoin when it is off the exchange and kept in a private wallet. You only send real Bitcoin when you do it on a p2p level and you don't own Bitcoin when your coins are stored on an exchange all you have is just promises and not Bitcoin if your Bitcoin is on the third party exchange.

No, your argument is wrong, the purpose of CEX is just a trading platform simple as that. So obviously, if you are not trading and holding your bitcoin you won't keep it with them. But they can still perform as design, it can be used to buy/sell by other crypto traders, and the market is open 24x7, so somewhere in parts of the world, there will be buyers and sellers and so the CEX will continue to exists even though the numbers of bitcoin in an exchange is going down. And on the contrary, others may say that it is a bullish sign that bitcoiners are holding it on their wallet.
4205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: July 31, 2022, 11:53:27 PM
I will agree though, specially those streamers that shows very huge win, in the millions of dollars that maybe some will go and try it for themselves and see how their luck will be.

On the other hand this streamers though could be paid so obviously, the results might be rigged so that those watching are going to be attracted. So it's a win-win for this streamers and the casinos or games that they are promoting.
I guess that’s how streamers are made on purpose, so they can always attract new players and the house will always take advantage on their money. Although there are streamers that are simply made for awareness, but mostly in streamers where they advertise huge wins, it’s either those winners are greatly paid or in some cases, those winners volunteer on their own.

Streamers can also use their capability in order for them to have a referral bonus, I have seen so many streamers now that is getting paid and get commission for advertising some gambling site. Streamers should also fact check the site as well before advertising it in order for them and for the people to have a safe deposit and safe credentials in case that the website has KYC. Some website needed to be legal as well before entering digital casino, it is more hot in the eyes of the government if a streamers promoted it.

Streamers mostly does it with the trusted platforms. As mentioned these streamers will be making a good sum of money through referrals. When a streamer makes in millions often it creates a question, how he's able to make it. Some could've succeeded following it, with big bag of money. This isn't possible for everyone and the same is also a reason for small gamblers losing big expecting big out of small amount of money.

On the contrary, I'm just thinking about this scenario: do trusted platform and I'm assuming they have the reputation and that they are already big, still need promotion from some streamers? Or newly created one, who are just starting this business and wanted to gain that trust from the gambling community will used this streamers to promote their casinos? So it seems that the later will have more benefits if they take advantage of this kind of promotions instead of the already established one, in my opinion.
4206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 31, 2022, 11:24:27 PM
Just sad to hear that one of the legends of basketball has passed away. Majority of us didn't see how Bill Russell play, but sure we have some old videos on YT and of course, his magical run with the Boston Celtics will not be matched, I think that record will be untouchable - won 11 NBA championships.

And not that only Russell is great in court, but during his prime, America was still in racial segregation. And he had fought very hard in that era, 50's-60's. For sure the whole Celtics organization are mourning the passing of the legend.

And early this year, his Game-worn, autographed Bill Russell jersey sells for $1 million.

4207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: July 31, 2022, 11:04:13 PM
Oh! he is given a chance to re-match with the opponent who beat him last time? I think this one here is likely we need to watch since both fighters already gauged each other's strength where they can take each other's punches that's why they even reached the final round in their last fight. Seems like we will gonna see some real clash in the ring with these two powerful punchers and might be their last chance to show us some rivalry fight.

If Jerwin sticks to his normal fighting style then he should win this rematch. He should stop brawling because he is naturally a technical fighter. If he wants to entertain his fans, he rather develops more movements, more pop to his punches, and works with his combinations.

There are too many good names in the division for so many years and it is sad that Jerwin never fought at least one of them. People thought it was Bob Arum's fault but then it is a fact that Jerwin now with Al Haymon still fought zero big names in the division.

Yep, be just a technical fighter that he was known to be. But he chooses to brawl against Martinez. And it's obvious that he is not a volume puncher in this fight as he was really out landed by Martinez. Even in the last round when he knows that he needed a knock out to win. He was somewhat timid and doesn't want to engage.

I just this lost derailed what might have been big fights being set on him by PBC, like Roman "Chocolatito", Estrada or Ioka.
4208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 31, 2022, 10:41:13 PM
It is overtime for Magnolia and NLEX. It is very exciting and close match.

Magnolia made a magnificent stop against the NLEX and steal the ball with 2+ seconds left but was not able to make something out of it though. So we are now in overtime.

Have to wait a few more minutes for Ginebra vs Meralco do-or-die game.

Its not do or die when the result is fixed like most of the games in this league.

Lots of humors about this fixed games but nothing has been proven yet so i still believed that PBA is not involved in game fixing unless someone would surface and gives hard evidence as this will topple down the oldest basketball league in Asia.

What an exciting/intense game between Ginebra and Meralco, if this is also fixed then Ginebra would be the winner but that is not the case as Meralco advanced into the semis with a nail-biting 2-point lead.

So, interesting semis we have here as it will be against the top two business group. SMC and MVP teams, who will prevail?

Yes, Meralco escapes with a 106-104 score, eliminating the Gins. It was a very exciting match, but Bolts was able to mantain it's composure. Chris Newsome, another great game with a triple double 21 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists. And he lead 7 other Bolts player who score double digits.

Hard to see who will prevail in the semis, let's see how the first game will turn out.
4209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: July 31, 2022, 10:15:57 PM
Shakur Stevenson does not rule out the possibility that after the fight with Conceicao he will move to the lightweight category, but as he says, everything will depend on how this fight goes and everything will depend on his physical condition.

source: https://www.boxingscene.com/shakur-stevenson-uncertain-if-hell-remain-130-pounds-conceicao-fight--167918

If he is not comfortable anymore he should let go of the Junior Lightweight and become a full fledge lightweight, boxers should be in their comfortable weight when getting in the weigh-in without draining their body, it will have a bad impact on their performance, he will be in good contention fighting in the lightweight, a match with Haney will be good for his legacy, of course, he needs to get past Robson who is a very tough fighter.

For sure, if he feels that he is outgrowing this division and may have to go up and move up in weight. He already said that in previous interviews that he has plans to going up weight classes. But for now, he seems to be secured here.

And as mentioned in the past articles, if he ever wins here, he might face either the WBA champion Roger Gutierrez or IBF Joe Cordina. So maybe that's his goal first, to unify all the belts before moving up to 135 lbs. division.
4210  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetInsider - Free Tips and Predictions on: July 31, 2022, 03:57:42 PM
Sounds like their group is legit since I didn't find anything shady related to them so far. The variety of markets and the odds themselves are decent and zero investment from our side is a plus.

However, I urge everyone not to pay for any premium subscriptions at any point in the future unless they proven themselves as an extremely reliable group. Just my 2 cents.

I just checked it and see only 3 subscribers and it's more on a football betting tips if I'm not mistaken. I know that football is a global sports however, I'm not into it, so I left the group.

But for those who are into this sports betting, maybe you can find their group helpful as I also didn't see any shady related tips or anything. Just straight up ML or handicap bet.
4211  Economy / Economics / Re: Henan Bank decides to use citizens money for investment on: July 31, 2022, 03:12:01 PM
Not the first, but the main issue is that it happened in China, I mean supposedly in top as far as world economy goes. And what is scary is that it seems this has the backing of Chinese government?

I mean it's a display of force, obviously, and how do the Henan Bank did it? they did just call the military and said "hey we need tanks here to disperse the people because we have used their money for other investment"?
4212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish VS Bearish on: July 31, 2022, 02:38:05 PM
I think for one to truly understand the market they need to be aware of both the bullish and bearish cases for Bitcoin. There are many of each. I personally think that Bitcoin has broken the barrier of acceptance and as a result of Wall Street wanting to offer it as a new financial asset class to be managed will perform quite well. However, I also recognize that hodling has no value and Bitcoin could easily be surpassed by another more useful form of cryptocurrency. I guess as an investor you have to weigh each side and decide which will be right and which will not.

Not just understand, but at least experienced both bearish and bullish cycle. And then they can decide what will be the best strategy on both cycles. Personally, I already experience it, but still a lot of learning curve. I guess the Wall Street entering the picture was a big thing for us. Specially at the end of the bullish cycle in 2017, where CME and CBoE enters the picture. Anyhow, we've seen that governments are also getting into the market so we all know that in fact bitcoin or some crypto will be useful and going to stay for so long because of that kind of adoption.
4213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 31, 2022, 12:54:07 PM
At least there is some optimism coming from Stephen Espinoza, The head of Showtime Boxing

Quote
“I think in most negotiations that go on for a while, they have a lifespan of ups and downs. I don’t think it’s dead or close to dead. I think there are points where things are moving more quickly, points where things are sort of stuck at an impasse. And we’re a little bit stuck, but I don’t think anyone is ready to throw in the towel, least of all the two fighters.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/showtime-head-optimistic-about-spence-crawford-i-think-anyone-ready-throw-towel--167980

And as what we have been discussing for the past couple of days, maybe there were points that already been agree, like the purse split, Spence getting the big share as he is the A side on this fight because of his PPV numbers in his recent fight, or maybe the venue has been agreed upon.

So let's still remain positive that time fight or at least the negotiations are still alive as per Showtime and they are working to have this fight made.

This is bad news. They just said earlier that a deal is already very close. So the latest update of Showtime's Stephen Espinoza means the negotiations hit a stumbling block. So the fight is definitely not happening in August, October, and then November and I believe not even this year. It seems that Spence and even PBC and Showtime are stalling this in order to buy more time. So one year of inactivity and a 35-year-old Crawford is not enough for Spence to grow some balls? Fuck this, If I were Crawford I will start seeking the next best options and move on, he already mentioned it many years before that Spence will never fight him and so far it is true.

I also have a feeling that it might not happen this year specially that we have heard about the October date or at least this is what they want to give us or something is really going on and negotiations is still moving.

But with his recent statements, really hard to believed who is saying the truth.

And I speculate that if the fight is not going to push, this 2022, Spence will move to 154 lbs, and that will be a bitch move from him.
4214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 31, 2022, 12:01:33 PM
So the Brooklyn Nets is demanding more returns on a KD trade not just because the Utah Jazz and San Antonio Spurs received a lot of pieces from their Rudy Gobert and Dejounte Murray trades but because it is still hoping to keep Durant. But I don't think KD will want to stay in Brooklyn with Irving and Simmons. Brooklyn should prioritize trading these 2 drama queens and maybe KD will want to stay with them.

It's really hard to read what Nets plan is for now, it seems they are willing to let go of Durant and Irving but have to keep Simmons for now.

Yes, the Nets are going to demand more returns for KD, if they are going to let go of him, for sure they will want to have at least a good returns. However, we still don't know what will be Durant's destination. Still a lot of complication that the Nets will have to iron out.

And it's the Rudy Gobert affect as well, if he went out with 4 first-round picks and a pick swap, for sure Brooklyn wanted more in return.
4215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 31, 2022, 11:33:39 AM
And as expected, based on the odds of the fight, Danny Garcia dominated Benavidez in their match by majority decision, scores where: Judges Glenn Feldman (116-112) and Anthony Paolillo (117-111), while Waleska Roldan a draw (114-114).

The power though, it seems to me that Garcia doesn't have the power he has when he was the champion at 140 and 147 lbs. I guess moving up in weight, it diminishes. But if he ever faces a hard punching Charlo at I guess Danny doesn't have a chance.
4216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul v Hasim Rahman Jr / Amanda Serrano V Brenda Carabaja co-main event Aug on: July 31, 2022, 10:59:16 AM
Uggh. So annoying. I was looking forward to this fight and it was going to be shown for free on Dazn in the UK. I wonder what sort of financial hit Jake is taking on this? Pretty shitty and stupid of Hasim not have taken this fight seriously as he's going to lose the biggest paycheck of his career and now he looks like a coward who wanted to fight on his own terms and whatever weight he felt like.

I am quite certain that it will take some future financial hits for Jake Paul as a promoter. There might not be much other fighters who would be as excited to be in one of his cards. Those other boxers have also trained hard for August 6 and have also had their expenses paid for their training.

I have a feeling though that this fight is still going to happen and it might have to be push through, just maybe a couple of weeks.

Or maybe find a replacement fighter for Rahman?

But if they fight is totally scraped for good then sure, it will have a financial toll on Jake Paul.
4217  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: July 31, 2022, 10:29:08 AM
Kawawa talaga ang Nets dito, I mean sinugal nila lahat nung kunin nila is Durant at pagtapos ni Irving, then si Harden.

Ah ok so meron na talagang nilulutong bagong batas so tama talaga mga kutob natin.

4218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 31, 2022, 10:09:00 AM
Of course, we know what Ginebra is capable of, and that's what they did in game 2. And for sure majority here doesn't see that they are going to be eliminated. But they rise to the occasion again. So they will be the favorite in game 3 with the ML or even a handicap is not that bad to bet on them. And this is going to be another close game but maybe Ginebra has still something with them and win the decider.

But believed me, some of Ginebra fans are worried on that game. Meralco is keeping with the phase with Ginebra the whole game and there are lots of exchange leads. It's just that they fell short but overall, their game against Ginebra is a close one. This is a good series so far where both teams are almost equal and it now depends on players if they will have a bad night or not.

For sure, Ginebra fans are worried when they lost the first game, and even in the second because Meralco keeps coming back.

Hotshots and Road Warriors are in a very tight game right now, 78-77 in favor of Hotshots, closing in the 3rd quarter. This is going to be exciting, entering the 4th quarter now.
4219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on exchanges hit 4 year low - Glassnode on: July 30, 2022, 11:59:07 PM
Yep, it's obvious that when there are less bitcoin in an exchange, the holders are not going to sell it. However, it doesn't translate that we will have a bull run since everyone is just holding. And we are in a bear market after all, no movement for all of us, we can see it as well in the trading volume. Or maybe I'm just old school, but as a practice, to really appreciate bitcoin, you must know how to do self-custody, learn how private key works, in short you will appreciate it more if you have it in your own wallet.
4220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 30, 2022, 11:37:21 PM
Injury is definitely one of the defining parts of basketball career of a player. Stockton was known for being an ironman, played for a decade without missing. Lebron is also on the path for something close, sure he missed some games or sit out some others but dude played for 20 years now, and still going on very strong without much detoriation. So all in all, if you get injuries, then you will not be that lucky to bounce back and have a great career after that.

Brandon Roy comes to mind as well, or Greg Oden who was one of the last few big men that played old school, after him, we started to slowly grow into smaller lineups and nobody like that ever succeeded again, even if they were good.

Yes, Oden was one, he was the top pick in 2007, even ahead of Durant, unfortunately, we didn't see how great he was as injuries really took him out of the NBA.

As for Isiah Thomas, when he was in Boston and having a statistics that we haven't seen a while for a guy like him, he was really having a great season. But he was playing injured already. And as far as his revelation Celtics told him that it is not career threatening so he continue to play until he can't bear the pain anymore. And again, same thing happen, he wasn't able to recovered from his hip injuries and then got traded. He then blame the Celtics though, and him trusting their doctors and organization that he is still ok and just continue to play.
