Well I have to break this news to all Filipinos out there, we have a new champion in Dave Apolinario.

Quote
Filipino Dave "Dobermann" Apolinario (17-0, 12 KO's) goes to East London, South Africa and knocks out Gideon Buthelezi (23-6) in the opening round for a KO-1 victory to claim the vacant IBO flyweight title

https://twitter.com/TimBoxeo/status/1553073773473054721

It was a first round knock out, so proud to hear that at least we have a champion. For sure the future looks very bright for the Dave and hopefully he will continue the torch for Philippine boxing.

Is IEO still alive in 2022? Lol, I thought everyone is no longer or at least the majority is looking for other investment method this year.

But as what others have said, maybe they are still alive, but I doubt that they will have the hype hype as around 2018-2019. We already have so many new investment thingy right now like NFT that many investors are no longer like wanted to be an angel investor on IEO. And I haven't heard of any top tier exchanges that their launchpad is still alive to support this projects.
4203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bull run 'getting interesting' as BTC price hits 6-week high on: July 30, 2022, 10:50:07 AM

But could anyone confirm the bear market is over? By what I  mean is that is the price not going to drop below 17K anymore?

When the speculators published some postsaboutBTC going below $17k weeks ago, there must have been holders dumping in anticipation of that next support to break. 6 Weeks of uptrend seem a go signal to buy for me.

I think to be able to say that we are out of the bear market, we need some validations, maybe in the range of $40k-$50k. At least that is more than 50% of the lower low of $17k.

So it's a long way to go for us, we barely made it to $25k in this last small runs in the last week or so. And we can say that we are still not out of the woods yet, we need to progress more to the price that I mentioned. So we will have to wait and see, we still have 5 months to improved the price.

Here is the final weigh in, both makes the desired weight:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jOehy73TD8

Garcia - 152¾  lbs
Benavidez - 153¾ lbs

Danny Garcia is still the huge favorite in this fight. I will not be surprised if he wins by a late stoppage or even with a knock out win. His left is still will be his favorite go to weapons. And winner of this fight will probably continue with this journey. While the loser will obviously have a hard time getting into the scene again.
4205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 30, 2022, 09:30:14 AM
Draymond Green wants four-year max extension, willing to explore other teams if Warriors won't pay, per report
Draymond Green is cooking something.
...
I admire his hard work and love for the game but there should always be a limit to what you could get. By asking for more money, he is restricting the entry of good roleplayers to be part of their team.

There is no harm in trying anyway. If the warriors bite, then it is all good. And if not, well he can try fishing if another team will bite. And if all fails, he still has player options in 2023-24 season. Luck favors the bold and he is testing it.
I wish that's the case, trying to secure good pay so that if ever no team will pick him up he got lots of money in his pocket already.
That had been the case in the past few years, always about the money being secured, they all want it max and free for an option to be traded.
As I checked different NBA-related pages on Facebook, most of the discussions were about the loyalty of players. Dirk, Kobe, Steph, and other players.
But some have their opinions like "fuck loyalty", it's a different era now and money will always win.
Dirk was offered $92M by the Lakers and Rockets but stayed with the Mavs for a 3-year contract of just $25M way back 2014.

I do agree we are in a different era now, players can demand, and they are in total control of their destiny regardless of what contract they have. Kyrie has a way to get from contracts, Simmons doesn't want to play and so he is traded. And now Durant showing intention that he wanted to get out of Nets despite the money they offer him. As much as we wanted players like Green to have loyalty with the Warriors since they drafted him and it's the team that he won his championship, making his name. But sooner or later he will probably leave to chase bigger money. It's no longer about the championship or the ring, he already had 4. Now it's about money for him and retire with a lot of it.
4206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 30, 2022, 09:02:09 AM
I have added a poll for you guys to vote on this fight.

Although this is not as huge as Lopez other fight, this is going to be an intriguing match because as you guys have said, this is Lopez first test in this new weight division. And he could give a impressive showing here, then give it as a signal that he is back and then will go to "Takeover" this division.

And for those who are not aware of his condition in the George Kambosos fight:

Quote
According to Lopez's medical records, the 24-year-old former undisputed champion was diagnosed with "pneumomediastinum" with "extensive air in the retropharyngeal space" by emergency room doctors during his postfight visit to Bellevue Hospital.

"The air was surrounding his chest wall and his heart and his neck -- places where air is not supposed to be," said Dahl, who worked as a ringside physician for the New York State Athletic Commission. "If he was hit in the neck or the chest -- a certain way, in a certain place -- he could have developed a pneumothorax [collapsed lung]. ... He would have instantly been down and unable to breathe and needing a chest tube."

4207  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph suspended my account without valid reason on: July 30, 2022, 08:35:42 AM
Guys just a quick question, is there any alternative para makapag cash out ng mga BTCs not using coins.ph? Unfortunately, my level 3 verification account was temporarily flagged by coins.ph since yung proceeds daw ng BTCs ko nanggagaling sa isang gambling establishment, which is prohibited by their TOS. Dahil dito, they limited my withdrawal monthly from p400,000 to only p25,000.

I hope may isang alternative pa in order to cash out my BTCs given the fact na nagagamit ko sila almost weekly para sa mga kapatid ko. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you guys.

So siguro in order na magandang masubukan is Binance P2P, to Gcash or Bank transfer and then PDAX tapos BloomX.

Heto ba ang website nya? https://bloomx.app/
4208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your most realistic ATH prediction for the next cycle? on: July 29, 2022, 11:32:11 AM
I personally would like to see $180,000 at least that's the bear minimum for the next all time high. For sure PlanB S2F modeling was invalidated, but the graph somewhat pointing to this number as one time and that's what stick to my mine.

I'm not saying that we should believed S2F modeling again, it has proven to be a failure already. But those numbers that it predicted in 2021 should be hit in the next bull run.
4209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This Made Me Angry on: July 29, 2022, 10:34:40 AM
Couldn't he make the transfer online? Banks are digitizing by leaps and bounds, so it is rare what you say, unless it is in a third world country. I do all my transfers online, although depending on the amount per AML policies they may make you fill out a form or do some paperwork before making the transfer effective.

There are transfer limits in most banks in the country I'm currently in, and $10,000 is a good chunk of money when converted to the local currency. Not sure how easy/hard it is to raise the daily limits and to what extent it can be raised, but idk I don't use banks much as you'd have to call them(and sometimes even need to go to the bank physically) to fix most stuff.

This, we have limits in our country, and perhaps this was a red flag for banks to see that huge amount being converted to PHP.

I also totally stay away from banks, I mean even opening accounts in our country is hard as hell. Lots of questions on where the money is coming from and that was 2018, so not sure how banks have change throughout the years here.
4210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: July 29, 2022, 09:46:39 AM
@Baofeng. There are different opinions on whether Robert Garcia is the right trainer. Some people say he is and he would help Joshua to have more aggression in the ring and attack more on the body. Others say that he might be a mistake because Joshua is a heavyweight and Robert Garcia's tactics might not be very good for heavyweights. Joshua has the speed of a cruiserweight, however. I speculate that Joshua's adjustments on Garcia's tactics might not cause a problem.

I do agree, still very early stage to say that Robert is the right trainer for him or not. That's just one opinion coming from Joe C. but he didn't elaborate if indeed Garcia is a great trainer or not.

We will only see what the plan of attack is during the actual fight. Maybe he will used that speed, or maybe he will be more aggressive than usual. Or used the jab more, going to the body first and try to soften a technical fighter such as Usyk.
4211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: July 29, 2022, 09:15:06 AM
I think the rise of streamers is happening everywhere. Not only in online gambling. I would not be surprised if we soon see streamers react to gore videos or some other taboo stuff. The entertainment culture of the internet is shifting towards watching more, not doing more. So we now watch people who do something. Its very strange and a bit saddening if you think about it.

Honestly I do watch a good streamer every now and then so I have no say in any of the matter but online gambling streamers might be a funny idea. Especially their reactions during winning or losing might make good view content alone.

Well, there were a lot of reaction videos on YouTube and honestly they're something that doesn't make any sense to me lol, because they're not actually doing something besides watching a specific videos and make opinions on what they have just seen. Streamers switching to reaction videos than actual playing online games or gambling is the worse thing that will happen to their streaming career.

I myself also watch entertaining online game streamers, but not much with gambling as some of these streamers were being paid to entice people to gamble as if it is easy to win bigger stakes.

Yeah, so this youtubers have been venturing out as well in the last 2-3 years, going to Twitch and making more money that monetizing in Youtube hehehe.

Seen some as well, but something tells me that this are obviously paid ads as what the majority says. So they will have to act "naturally", but gamblers are too smart to fall for that kind of trick. We see genuine reaction of people winning in a traditional based casino, but this streamers? hmm, different reactions.
4212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 29, 2022, 08:38:44 AM
Dwight Howard showed up at the WWE tryouts today.  Cheesy  He said he wants to play in the NBA next year but is ready to transition to life after the NBA if necessary. I still think he’s a great pickup for any team so I’d be surprised if he didn’t get a contract before the season starts. I also don’t think that will stop him from doing a little work in the WWE.

Dwight is not powerful as he was during at his prime but he still got the experience to handle big man that in prime so having him as a reliever for center is good for Lakers considering how low his salary right now.  For a guy like Dwight, I think he already knew that his career on NBA is already over and probably he is just playing for the paychecks. I agree with you that he might consider to stay on WWE for an extra job while he still got a fan.

Yes, and to be honest, I will take a prime Howard against a prime Anthony Davis. During his prime, Dwight has really freakish, he can do everything and absolute beast inside that no big men can stop him.

But as time goes by, it's already 2023 season, he has lost some of his abilities, but for sure he can be good addition for a team that needs a back up center. He is still doing damage when he was with the Lakers last season and perhaps he can still play at least one season.
4213  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bear Market thread on: July 29, 2022, 08:18:15 AM
Ano po iyong ibig sabihin ng DCA? Baka applicable to para sakin.

That way mas madaling ma lower down ang average cost ng pagbili.  Saka kadalasan sa nag DCA ay hindi namimiss ang bottom maliban lang pag naubusan ng fund pangbili Grin

Exactly, it work both ways talaga, kailangan may ready kang pera maybe coming from your regular job (outside of crypto), or any side hustle or business para makapag DCA ka at ma take advantage and lowest low na ma reach, in our case nasa $17,500 ang pinakamababa. Then ganun lang rinse and repeat lang. Pero siguro hindi naman maiwasan na talaga minsan wala na pang allot na pang invest, so adjustment na lang siguro sa part natin.

For the fans of Danny Garcia and Jose Benavidez, here is the first face off:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QU_1RNUxRik

Danny Garcia seems to be relax and just smiling, not sure if he is nervous, but seems to be very happy to be back in the limelight again.

Garcia still the outstanding favorite in his fight, 1.13, Benavidez 5.80.

The over 10.5 is 1.43, under is 2.75.
4215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Ever Reach $100k? on: July 28, 2022, 11:26:56 PM
For sure everyone here is familiar with PlanB's S2F model which predicts bitcoin reaching at least 6 digits last year, however, obviously it didn't happen and everyone felt sad about it.

But in any case, chances for another try in the next bull run is very high, and I firmly believed that we will eventually get to it. And if we look at previous historical past, we see that we will have a huge bull run come 2024-2025. So this is the perfect time to accumulate bitcoin and not be the one to regret not buying when it is cheap around $20k. Who knows the price could really exploded into $200k.
4216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for newbie to long-term investing on: July 28, 2022, 11:06:06 PM
The problem with the newbies is they're saying and justifying that bitcoin is expensive and that's why they're looking for alternatives. But, the sad thing is that they're ending up with the wrong choice and choosing those shitcoins that they shouldn't do.
And the reason? Again, going back with the first sentence that I've said and they're going to argue with you telling that it's totally fine to do that because they don't have money but neglecting the idea of DCA.
some beginners with small capital will choose altcoins that they can get at a cheaper price than bitcoin. that is the reality experienced by beginners in the crypto market.
The fault lies in the direction or persuasion that beginners get to buy shitcoin, even though there are potential altcoins on the market at low prices that we can make long-term investment assets.
newbies in the crypto market must be able to master themselves, and never be influenced by other people or the promise of huge profits that can be obtained by putting their money in shitcoin.
It is really the reality and that's why many newbies choose to get into those cheaper altcoins because they think that it's the best choice that they can do.
But little did they know, it's all about the choice and there's more volatility than they can see with the altcoins market. So for the newbies, they have the option to buy bitcoin at little amounts and accumulate it until they reach some amounts that they aim to have.

I guess it's the entry point, coins are cheap and thinking with just a small amounts they can turn that into huge money. Which I believed many could have done, but we all know that it's not for everyone, specially newbies that don't have enough experience. For sure some of us may have undergo that same process and having that kind of mindset. But as we mature here, we learn that it's not the way, it's better to invest on solid coins like bitcoin. The return might not be very big as what we wanted, but at least the risk is not that big as compare to altcoins which can dump anytime, losing your investments in a blink of an eye.
4217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: July 28, 2022, 10:41:40 PM
So Joe Calzaghe has his opinion on Joshua getting Robert Garcia as his trainer:

Quote
“I’m not sure [if Joshua made the right decision in picking Garcia], we have to wait and see at the end of the day. I think it was time for him to have a change so I think that’s the right idea, whether Garcia is the right guy, I’m not sure, we’ll wait and see," Calzaghe told Boxing Social.

https://www.boxingscene.com/calzaghe-not-sure-if-joshua-made-right-decision-picking-garcia-trainer--167941

It might be true that Joshua really needs a new trainer in his career.  But yes, we will have to see if Robert Garcia will be a perfect fit for him. This is a very important fight for Joshua, if we can't or didn't see any improvement and the results are the same, I don't know how he can move forward with his career.
4218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano Losing Luster on Twitter Despite Looming Vasil Hard Fork ! on: July 28, 2022, 01:21:53 PM
Is Twitter a good measuring stick though?

On the other hard, everyone is losing luster isn't it? We are in a bear market and so projects are going down despite any news of upgrades and latest development. So this might be the case for Cardano. I have nothing against the report, but it seems not giving the real picture of the market. Sentiments are really negative right now.
4219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bottom in for BTC? on: July 28, 2022, 11:38:28 AM
I am not 100% sure. This could be the bottom i.e at $20k - $22k or there could be one final capitulation to $13k for the final bottom.

Usually, BTC bottom is a drop down to 84% but again we have more awareness and adoption. From now on the drops might be smaller.

What do you guys think? Go with your gut

Hard to say, if we look at the current price, it's just like $4k-$5k, so that can easily be shave if there will be a negative news, pulling the price down below $20k.

On the other hard, it seems that we have bounce back again, and even if we still war the war in the background, the price hasn't struggle. And as we either the last quarter, wherein the price seems to be recovering a bit, maybe we have witnessed the bottom already.
4220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: July 28, 2022, 10:47:21 AM
Shakur is really huge favorited and it makes me to bet him is really unprofitable, I think I wouldn't bet and only watch the fight.

Honestly I don't know why Shakur want to fight against Conceicao because he already enough power to beat other champions e.g. Joe Cordina and Roger Gutiérrez, so he will become undisputed champion on super featherweight division. I'm expecting a KO from Shakur on the late round 9 or above.

I also tend to agree Conceicao won that fight against Oscar Valdez, but in this fight he would completely lost against Shakur.

His probably targeting both champions later, this is just another step for him, different kind of style and see how he will adapt on Conceicao. I think if he gets over Conceicao just like how he dispose Valdez, both Cordina and Gutierrez will be an easy fight for him.

Stevenson - 1.05
Conceicao - 9.60

The odds are very small for Shakur and I am also sure odds for the rounds will be over 10.5 rounds and very small too. If this was an ICO, it would be one of those scam pump and dumps that have been forgotten after the first pump hehehe.

I don't think there will be much difference or change in the odds. Stevenson is taking over this division and as I have said, unification this might will happen. Perhaps just a question on how much money is involved against Cordina and Gutierrez.

Edit: I also added a poll.

The poll should include if the fight will finish and reach the decision. A big favorite like Shakur Stevenson would imply that he can knockout Robson Conceicao. However, if you look at their records I predict this will reach the decision. Also, where do you think or speculate thr sportsbooks will place the over and the under? 7.5 rounds? This implies over 7.5 rounds is a better bet thsn under, I reckon.

I think you can put your vote on the outright victory instead of the KO/TKO options.

I would guess the bookies might favor the under 7.5 rounds as opposed to the over. However, I think that they will listed the over/under at 10.5.

Yes, the records of both shows that this might go to the distance, but we will see, I would love to see the odds on Shakur winning by KO/TKO, if that is attractive enough, I might go for it.
