quick question - can anyone actually see my trust score, or any trust comments on my profile? I know I've been left at least two, but I can't see them for some strange reason.

Is there a Windows QT client? I found one on Google but I'm not sure if it's outdated or not.

Latest client, link is also in the OP

http://www.catcoin.pw/catcoin-0.8.6.2-win32-setup.exe

That requires setup, not QT.

Been using this pool for the past 5 hours and I have only 0.65 coins in total. Mining with a XFX 7950 averaging around 400Kh/s, I should have like double of that shouldn't I?
sounds about right
you should be making approximately up to 5 in 24hrs
your hashrate is extremely low and this coin is hard to dig
Meaning I should've gotten one whole coin already. But I have only 0.7 or so.. Bad pool? What pool is more popular and considered the best?"

Don't know about the best but when I was mining cryptovalley was the only one I ever got working well.

So, I have some huge SQL, PHP, and HTML experience and yet I'm pretty clueless on a couple of things relating to storing the catcoins, generating addresses so people can deposit, and sending coins out.  Can any devs shed some light?  How would PHP be able to read the amount of coins received?  How can I integrate catcoin into a website?

Let me forward a TG to you that another coder kindly sent me when I asked about going about coding a faucet. One moment.
4224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: December 30, 2013, 06:22:11 AM
We have exchanges now. Use them, or you are trying to scam.
Oh they closed the spreadsheet? My bad. EDIT: exchange looks like crap but i guess.

It's on Crypsty and Coinedup. Take your pick. You won't get a better offer here.

It seems I didn't receive, the crypsty post in on the bottom of 14 page. Is this because I voted for it before (without posting)?
Anyway, I'm not upset, it's on cryptsy now, and that's what we all wanted in the first place. Gratitude to all the participants.

Hi nullievoid.

Sorry, your post was just overlooked. I've sent over the 0.2143 CAT. Unfortunately the competition is closed, now that we've made it to Cryptsy, but the remaining giveaway funds will likely be redistributed into future giveaways.
4227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: December 30, 2013, 04:07:13 AM
It's just one exciting drama after the next with this coin isn't it? God knows what I'm going to wake up to tomorrow.

Death or glory people.  Cheesy

Goodnight.

1.7GH WE IN RED ZONE. Next diff will Clamp x4. If those 1.7GH
will run out after diff recalc we'll get CATASTROPHE and
>64days diff recalc with block time 30mins. Need to cutt
off all pools 100 blocks before recalc for 1-1.5hours to
target diff 100-160 or less.

Can you post that in the main thread so the pools can see? I don't think many will leave after the diff recalc, but it's a good precaution.
4229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Catcoin has hit Cryptsy! on: December 30, 2013, 03:35:38 AM
All this means is that Cryptsy adds coins it knows or believes it will make a profit on.

They are an exchange.

They make money on fees.

They probably don't care about long term success of cryptocurrency or alt coins that are well designed.

If they did there would be different coins added to the exchange and many that were added (some recently and some a long time ago) would not have ever been listed.

This does not make them bad guys after all they run a business.

If you launch a coin and want it on any exchanges you better be prepared to have a lot of btc ready to buy and sell your own coin. Making a coin that is unique, different, or a clone that is well designed to avoid problems other clones have had means nothing.

It means nothing to almost 99% of the membership in this forum if they cannot see an angle to enrich themselves.

If any cat coin deserves some attention it is Naanayam Coin , one out a lot longer, with a blockchain 250,000 tall.

I personally feel no coin should be added to an exchange for at least 60 days to see how it runs.

But a womans opinion or coin means ZERO in these male dominated forums.

Every constructive opinion deserves validity regardless of gender. It's the penny-stock psychology that wears a little thin. Yeah, exchanges are only interested in profiting. That's understandable. Perhaps it is to the detriment of some coins. We are in somewhat uncharted territory with altcoins.

New record hashrate for cat 1.4 GH/S

Yeah. Totally worthless coin that everyone's ditching, amirite?  Wink
4231  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining makes me sick on: December 30, 2013, 03:30:55 AM
Hope that's not why I've been feeling like crap all week.
4232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Catcoin has hit Cryptsy! on: December 30, 2013, 03:23:21 AM
Waiting to buy Cat in 0.00000099 hopefully it will come there by tomorrow early morning

It's laughable how devalued you're trying to make the coin appear. It's been trading around 0.008 all day, and that's before it even hit Cryptsy.

No one is panic selling this.
4233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Catcoin vs Kittehcoin on: December 30, 2013, 03:10:07 AM
4 Different cat themed coins? WTF is wrong with the world...?

W8 , what do you mean 4?
I know about two of them from this topic , but the other two?

KittyCoin, not yet launched. Think it's a SHA-256. NyanCoin. Not yet launched either.
4234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: scryptminer.org $669 2200KH/s ASIC Miner Prospero X1 - scam? on: December 30, 2013, 03:07:23 AM
We just need to have a thread with the most hilariously bad scams. I don't know what makes me sadder, the fact that they're not even trying, or that there are people that stupid to fall for it.

What a world.
4235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: scryptminer.org $669 2200KH/s ASIC Miner Prospero X1 - scam? on: December 30, 2013, 02:55:34 AM
Drag the image of the ASIC Miner into the Google Images Search bar.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

It's some sort of mini-PC.

Must try harder, scammers.
4236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CAT buy while its LOW! on: December 30, 2013, 02:49:08 AM
Everyone's playing it down right now. That's fine by me. I'm buying whatever I can get.
4237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Catcoin has hit Cryptsy! on: December 30, 2013, 02:41:58 AM
its dead already so much dumping for such a small amount of coins in existence goes to show that doge with its 100b max coins is doing better

It's been up on Cryptsy for what..a couple of hours? The coin is what..5 days old? Weak hands dumping their early mined coins. They'll regret it in a week.
4238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Catcoin has hit Cryptsy! on: December 30, 2013, 02:38:26 AM
No shit? I can finally sell all these stupid CATs? THANK YOU CRYPTSY

Please do.
4239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Catcoin - Scrypt meow! on: December 30, 2013, 01:06:38 AM
The Catcoin community has really come together on this one. This is just the beginning for Catcoin. I see my coins as an investment now, not something to be sold at the earliest opportunity.

Well done everyone.  Smiley
4240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CATCOIN JUST HIT CRYPTSY! MEOW! on: December 30, 2013, 01:04:37 AM
It's all a lot of excitement right now. Give the coin a chance to settle. The coin is only 5 days old and everything has moved pretty fast. The initial mined coins are being sold off and traded and the difficulty is about to go up. The market will settle on a price once things have calmed down.

I knew it was just a matter of time before it hit Cryptsy.
