Netherlands 3: montenegro 0 and it's 72' already which placed Netherlands second on group G after a draw match with Norway. The pressure is really high do we still expect more goals
The match has come an end with a 4-0 final result, It was quite a better performance from Dutch team, after a poor result against Norway few days ago. Memphis Depay was the star of the scoring two goals, in the one sided game...
It seem France are going to have to settle for a draw yet again, their second consecutive draw, it's yet another subpar performance for the team, Israel vs Austria has got to be the surprise of the day, as the Austrians are currently losing by 5-2.

There still quite a number of really decent players on that least to be honest, although their wages might be somewhat on the high, if not I guess some average teams can really make do of their services, at least for a short period.. I would have imagined Ribery has retired already, if not for this list.

Did anyone watch CONMEBOL qualifiers late last night? Messi is extremely fortunate that he did not sustain a major injury following their match against Venezuela. He was this close to getting his left leg snapped in half after a reckless tackle, check out the video if you want: image source: https://twitter.com/ESPNFC/status/1433590605238743043
I had a small wager soon after the red card on Argentina to win, as well as Peru and Brazil to score. Little did i know, the Brazilian side had so many absentees, almost unrecognizable squad, hell they even had Hulk on the bench lol. I forgot that all their Premier League players are not allowed to travel because of the mandatory 10-day quarantine if they'd to travel back. Lucky me, they scored one after the break and with 7/7 they've pretty much qualified for the World Cup next year. Messi indeed was very fortunate not to have been injured, I was able to catch the highlight and was surprised that he didn't leave the pitch after the tackle. The Argentina team seemed to be getting everything since before the Copa America, they have a more complete team and the chemistry really is there. As for the Premier League 10-day mandatory quarantine, that means Leicester City's duo Iheanacho and Ndidi, as well Man City's Mahrez would all miss the next couple of league matches as they all travelled.

It is said that Barcelona are still after Leipzig's 23-year-old midfielder Dani Olmo. They failed on signing him in the last transfer window. But they are planning to make an offer to him again. But as long as Barcelona are still in the same financial condition in January, I have some doubts about them to be able to sign him. Dani Olmo is a quite talented player and he would be really useful for Barcelona in my opinion.
I'm not sure the club have the financial capacity to have sanctioned that deal, regardless of how desperate they might, and forcing a deal might only set then back a few transfer windows back from what they're trying to achieve. I'd rather the club just play out this season with the the already available players and work towards to next season, panic-buying brought the club to this situation, and panic-buying wouldn't bring it out.

This week has been full of shocking surprises in the UEFA FIFA world cup qualifications, and a bitter peels in the mouth of those who always bet on strong European teams to win, and I think I am part of those who cried after the results so far. First I was surprised about the score in the game involving the world cup champions France after they went on to draw in their last match, I didn't see that coming now yesterday spain did the worse by losing to Sweden.
It was some crazy day and some unexpected outcomes, Spain losing wasn't much of a surprise to me though, because I knew Sweden stood almost an equal chance of winning the game imo, I was more surprised at Italy being held to 1-1 draw by Bulgaria and Germany only being able to out 2 goals past Liechtenstein. England and Poland which I expected to be a very close affair both out 4 past their opponents, although as for England the score line doesn't actually describe how exactly they had to struggle before finding their first goal and all goals had to come within a short time.

Pjanic is going to Besiktas!
The transfer window is still open in Turkey, what an end for Miralem. Just 3 years ago he was in a very good shape.
It's really is just a matter of shambles upon shambles for Barcelona, If Pjanic was supposed to be surplus to requirements, then why waste a young player like Arthur Melo to facilitate a deal, while even paying additional money for such deal.. I really can't remember the last time or player Barcelona signed that was an actual success, except Frenkie De Jong.

The king is back again with 2 goals at the end of the game after missing a penalty.
Now he is even more in the history, the best scorer ever with a national club in the history.
After a missed penalty i was thinking he wont score at all in this match, but thats why he is the best player in history not only did he score but he scored twice and won the game for Portgual. What a player!!! Also on the other hand France is still playing really bad, they cannot beat Bosnia at home. Ronaldo once again that he should never be underestimated, what a win and congratulations to him on his new record... France are really playing awfully, I don't know if I'd blame the players or the coach himself, they really lack making clear-cut opportunities, and the understanding between the players is not as it should be, perhaps the coach needs to some changes to the team's tactics and approach.

I wonder how Ronaldo joining United will effect peoples predictions now? Will they have a title shot now? I think they'll certainly give City a run for their money. The Manchester derby is on the 6th of November so looking forward to that one.
I bloody hope not. I don't want to see Manchester United winning the title ever let alone anytime soon. Undoubtedly, Ronaldo signing for United will change peoples perceptions, especially those that are fans of the club. I personally believe, and I'm trying to remove any bias from this prediction, that they'll finish either second or third. I think Chelsea at the moment are probably favourites, and you can never rule out Manchester City. Obviously, if I was to inject a little bias into it, I'd like to see Liverpool challenge for the title, but that's unlikely considering all of our rivals have strengthened, while we sat on our arse. I'd agree with Chelsea being the favorites but only slightly, However, they'd need to beat City at their long term consistency to win the league, a slightly over average performance all season wouldn't do it, they have to be on their toes all season long, and Liverpool would also be keeping a really close tab as well, It's really going to be a competitive league this season, I'd say... I really don't see Man Utd in the picture when the season started, and I'm afraid the addition of Ronaldo doesn't change my perspective, yet.

Not a bad decision for Barcelona to sell Griezmann to any club, The problem in my opinion is selling Griezmann and replacing him with Luuk de Jong (Sevilla player), this is very ridiculous in my opinion. Are Barcelona out of their minds to buy quality strikers? Even Luuk De Jong didn't play well enough at Sevilla ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) First of all, Barca didn't sold Griezmann, they loaned him to Atletico. Also, Barca can't afford to buy players now, so, they loaned de Jong from Sevilla. I agree that this transfer doesn't looks good, but it's reality of Barca now. So, what we have in offense - Memphis, legendary Braithwaite, always injured Aguero and Dembele, not good enough for Sevilla de Jong and some kids. Barca fans, brace yourselves, winter is coming. Technically Barca loaned him out, but logically they sold Griezmann, there's a compulsory clause added for Atletico to buy him next season, which I guess was done so that Atletico Madrid can have further opportunities to buy additional players and remain within FFP, in order words Barcelona sold Griezmann but are not going to get paid next season, something they had to agree so as to rid of his wages as well. Luuk De Jong seem like a better choice imo, he's more of centre forward than Griezmann is, while the later is relatively not useful on the flank either, but since that can help reduce the situation of things at the club, then it is what it is.

Griezmann to Atletico, loan with an option to buy for 40 mil Euro. On paper looks like a no-brainer, great business by Atletico. He really did not have a great time in Barcelona, with him Atletico is probably a step closer to atacking the title. Maybe that's why they were pushing Saul to leave the club today.
I just checked why the contract is for only 2 years and wow - Griezmann is already 30 years old. Overall expected so much more from him.
The previous president (Josep Bartomeu) really made a huge mess of the club, honestly. Perharps Barcelona are trying to get whatever they can off Griezmann, since he was not able to live up to expectations, but given the situation of the club this season, I don't think that's by any means a smart, even if the club is not making Atletico stronger the sale, they're surely making themselves a weaker team. I hope the deal falls through by all means, and Saul to Chelsea is already a completed deal.

Messi made his debut for PSG against Reims. But I did not like Messi's performance in this match. The other players didn't help Messi too much. Messi was on the field for 26 minutes but could not make a single shot. It will take a lot of time for Messi to adapt to this team. And if the other players on the team can't adapt to Messi, then I don't expect a good performance from the PSG team in the Champions League.
Let's not forget that Messi has spent his entire career at Barcelona, and the Barcelona team was built around Messi to benefit from his full potential. It took years of work. Now he won't expect the same. There are other mentalities and other styles. It will require much more work to have this interconnection between the entire team. Messi is a great player, but this is still a great challenge. And now we're going to see if he's really capable of making excellent games, apart from the machine set up at Barcelona. Barcelona will undoubtedly struggle this season in the champions league, but I don't think it will be tough enough for them to exit the champions league early, like in the group stages. PSG would make a really great team in UCL, I'd say they're more stronger now, collectively... I'd even tip them to win the CL this season ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

It's been quite a busy day, haven't it ? I wonder what these teams making bids now have been doing all summer, stalking ?! One of the deals I never saw coming was Saul to Chelsea, that literally came out of nowhere, as I felt Chelsea are a complete team with multiple options in every part of the pitch and are ready for the new season... As for Barcelona I wonder they are doing, letting Griezmann go would be such a joke, they've already let go of two players without replacement, Dembele is never fit, Ansu Fati can't be relied upon given he's just returned from a long term injury, signing Olmo would be an outright waste of unavailable funds tbh... I'll rather just make do with this team, savage as much as possible from the season first then come prepare better ahead of January or next Summer window.

With the move Mbappe failing to work out, Real Madrid have decided to strengthen other position of the field, They have completed the signing of Eduardo Camavinga as per Fabrizio Romano's story, the deal is worth Over 31M, that's a really great signing imo, Valverde and Camavinga looks like future of Real's midfield post Kroos-Modric era Camavinga > Real: here we go!
Eduardo Camavinga to Real Madrid from Rennes, done deal and official bid accepted: he picks Real Madrid over PSG and Man Utd! 🌟⚪️
- The official proposal from Real Madrid has been accepted tonight by Rennes board for €31m plus add ons. It’s DONE DEAL. 🇫🇷

looks like mbappe will not come to Real madrid after all https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2021/08/30/612c9aa746163f96a78b4595.htmlhe looked pretty happy last night, i mean, considering he "wants to leave" and his "dream club" is making a tremendous effort to sign him 🤨 From a sporting and financial perspective, it doesn't.
how come? he was the top goalscorer of serie A last season and 30M is not a lot of money in the current market I knew the deal was probably not going to happen, I just don't assume he will sign or not sign a new contract and leave for free next summer, all I know is he'll likely not PSG for free.. Emerson to Tottenham is the deal that Barcelona had to sell in order to cover its financial accounts this summer, after the exit of the names with higher wages faltered. 30 million euros to Tottenham . The rest of the details, according to several journalists. Barcelona are literally in deeper shit than the media knows about, they are looking sanction a sale of Ilaix Moriba to RB Leipzig as well... Barcelona can't even keep hold of their youngest stars, Moriba was actually impressive last season and let him leave for just 16M is really absurd, imo.

Liverpool game just returned me back on top and this is good because I just had 2.5 points before, with Liverpool correct score I got to 5.5 which is not bad.I am starting to like being at the top but I don't think after the three games of tomorrow I will be there again but I am hopeful I won't lose that many places.
I'm a Liverpool FC fan, so my prediction was 3-2, and it was totally wrong. Well, since 2-1 and even 1-0, was also considered wrong, I had no chance to score in this one. Congrats on the exact prediction, @swogerino, and also on taking the first place in the leaderboard! For me it was another bad round and I descended 5 places down to 38th position. What's good is that we have a lot of rounds ahead, and absolutely anyone still has a chance to be at the very top in the end(even those 2 players that haven't joined yet.) Join up, guys! Make the prize-pool 0.1 BTC bigger. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I also dropped by 11 places to number 14th on the leaderboard, I knew it was going to be an awful week. I hate when the week result are filled with draws, and we had 5 draws this week, some were not so expected imo.. Congratulations to Hilarious for the winning the round, he often thrives with those draw picks.

I'm somewhat surprised by my own performances early here and in EPL. I know I've deliberately toned down on my upset predictions but anyway am sure my discipline won't hold out, not will everyone else keep misstepping;)
I am also surprised by my performance, only problem I am unpleasantly surprised. Never started the season this badly on all fronts. I am good at fantasy though. Kicking your ass there at least No matter, international break now and that means hard form reset and chance for some upsets. I really don't know what's more surprising over the weekend Atalanta and Sassuolo the usual heavy scoring/conceding teams both playing a goalless draw in their respective fixtures or Juventus dropping further points, all in all it was still not so a terrible week as I'm still second position overall. Now we have to go 10 days without club football ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

Oh Well, Villarreal have just taken the lead yet again and this time Luis Suarez is no longer on the pitch for Atletico Madrid, with just 13 minutes plus stoppage time left to play for.

Atletico Madrid - VillarrealI'm "pray" for Atletico Madrid to lose this game ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FkIWwZPx.png&t=663&c=HdmTDisHAu0yNQ) After playing literally nothing for almost an hours Villarreal have taken the lead against Atletico Madrid with was their very first attempt and shot of the game. Crazy! EDIT: Oh well, that didn't take long for Atletico Madrid to respond, with a goal from Luis Suarez.

Come on Pochettino, let's see Messi!
And on he comes! Lionel Messi finally making is debut for PSG, it still pretty much feels like a dream though, but we've all gotta move on ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) It's probably an already settled game, with PSG ahead by two goals, but I'll seeing out the rest of the game two catch a glimpse of Messi's debut performance. EDIT: It's game over, there wasn't too much to see but I'm sure there is much more to look forward in the upcoming fixtures.

Another hard fought victory for struggling Barcelona in the end, the win keeps them on the same number of points with 4 other teams after 3 matches... The match of the day is Atletico Madrid vs Villarreal! The last meetings between these clubs ended in a win for Atletico or a draw! I don't think Villarreal will be able to beat Atletico today either, as they have been playing terribly lately! By the way, the odds on Atletico are 1.8... Easy money! ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Yeah atletico madrid are the clear favorites for me to win this match and 1.80 odds would be a very good bet on Atletico madrid and also I would think not a lot of goals would be scored in this match so total goals under 2.5 would be a good choise as well. It's not going to be an easy game for either team, Atletico Madrid seem the favorites on the books, but Villarreal might pull an upset, even though they're yet to score after two games, they also haven't conceded any goal too. I agree it's likely going to be a boring game and one short of goals, perhaps nil-nil draw (that'd Villarreal's third in a row), or a lone goal victory for either side.
