#5 on Mintpal! Shocked

We are progressing fast on mintpal, mostly on community votes. Awesome! Smiley

How does this work, if thekidcoin want's to sabotage flutter in another way than abandon it, can he?

Fluttercoin and other altcoin can be "sabotaged" by many ways, by many people, that's how it works.

Thanks unamis76.

I would propose to move on.  Why talk about who did what when we can talk "'what to do and what can I do". The more we put our energy on negative things, the more negative things will happen.  It's a natural law !

You are not comfortable with actual devs ?  Find devs.
You are not comfortable with leadership ?  Be a leader.
You are not comfortable at all ?  Sell me your FLT !

Smiley

Exactly, sorry for going offtopic, but I just wanted to clarify some things that weren't correct and to avoid FUD being spread.

Moving on: I don't know any trustful dev that can carry on with thekidcoin's work. As for thekidcoin, I also doubt he disappeared for good, but we'll see, everything is possible

For 1.000.000 FLT I will send Flutter to the MOON.
If interested my adress is here below.

Doubt you have a one way ticket + more merchant adoption... Smiley

Don't be so negative Sad

I am not negative. I am just saying one cannot give us the moon. We must work together to get there.

Hi all,

Just got it touch with TheCryptoEdge, fluttercoin co-dev.

Nothing clear yet - but he told me he's interested to "further it".  I'm happy to get him with us, hopefully he'll join the skype group tomorrow and discuss options with us.

Meanwhile, my little Mintpal buy order @190 sato is still unfulfilled, that's good, no more dumping, things are under control !

Let's get this thing up !

Did he say anything about thekidcoin?

Hi - I was involved with fluttercoin PR the first time around. I would strongly advise not to involve TheCryptoEdge, or TheKidCoin, or the Multipool dev. It was a total distaster, with no one really wanting to help. They were more interested in dumping their coins, and didn't care about the future. TheCryptoEdge owned the @Fluttercoin twitter account, but hardly ever posted anything useful. TheKidCoin was a one-man-band who spent more time swearing at people who tried to help than developing the coin. There was no real leader, and the whole thing suffered from in-fighting. Everyone was more than happy to offer "good" ideas, but no one, and I mean NO ONE, wanted to put in their effort, time or money to make it work. A totall new, fresh team is needed, and you guys sound great, just don't involve the original crowd if you want it to work. Good luck!

This is not entirely true. I am involved with FLT almost since the beginning too. Not everyone had this behaviour. There are interested people in the old group they still hold Fluttercoin. There was a leader: thekidcoin, who isn't here now as far as we know. many put their time for this to work.

Now we only need someone who doesn't leak info, someone who speaks too much with outside people, or many private talks in the open group. Essentially, we must have a card up our sleeve.

Finally one who dare to speak up!
This is exactly why our flutter didn't fly.
Having one or more of them back will only kill the coin faster.

Disagree.

Why so few people pay attention to the coin?

At the moment, we decide to avoid doing much "marketting" until the fork is fully handled, a new wallet version avalaible, and hopefully some major changes I could not talk at the moment.  All this could happen real fast - and then, we release the kraken.

Both Fluttercoin groups (old + new) should discuss the changes, I guess. Is there any chance we can make a Hangouts/Skype/whatever group with member of both groups? Is it you that adds people to the Skype group? If so, can I PM you my account?

I am still synced with the explorer using the addnodes going on day 2 now, so we may finally be getting everyone on the right chain which is good.

The meeting last night went well. First thing we need to do is get a wallet update out. We may not even need to since it looks like everything is going good so far but it would prob be best just to get one out there anyway.

If you want to mine Fluttercoin, I urge everyone to use http://www.fluttercoinpool.com/ . As of now it looks like only scrypt / sha is working. X11 is down. I have sent a message to the pool owner to message me back so I can see if he can fix the x11 and also ask him if he is willing to continue to run the pool encase Kid never does return and we need to take over. If he doesn't want to continue running the pool then we can start to see about creating a new one. Using the multipool will get you more FLT than normal PoW mining and also helps trade/buying of the coin. It should also help in preventing another fork like the last time. I think it was some asic /asics that caused the fork b/c the last time I saw before the fork the network was at like 500mhash.

We are still gonna hold out hope that Kid returns when he last said about releasing the anon stuff next weekend. If by then he still is MIA, then its safe to assume he isn't coming back. Even if he shows up a month down the road, I won't mind him returning if everyone else agrees but, he needs to explain at least why he couldn't take 1 min to come in here and just let everyone know what is up.

For now if anyone knows any Dev's that may be interested in helping Fluttercoin out with some small updates, such as wallet fixes, or even if they would like to come in and take over all the main dev work, they can message me, Soltantgris, or just leave a post in here. If Kid never returns we will setup a bounty be it BTC or FLT, whatever they would want to start working on the coin and get the ball rolling.

The pool operator has been here since the beginning as works his way through any problems and is online frequently, so it's safe to say he's here to stay

One of the most impressive things about this coin is that even when the dev is nowhere near, people still try to fix problems as far as they can... Smiley

Yep. It would be a shame if he never returns especially with the community really starting to take off the past few weeks. That's why it makes no sense for him to just bail out but if so, I think we will all be ok if we all work together and take this coin to the next level where it should be.

As people said before in this thread, I also find it difficult that thekidcoin abandoned this coin, but anything can happen, as with any coin out there. And yes, I guess the community can pick up if anything is left behind!

he said a few months back he was gonna work on a new coin. maybe he just wants to start something new and is tired of flutter not going mainstream

He did? Don't remember, but I'll take your word. If he's tired of Flutter not going mainstream, he would have left a long time ago, haha.

Started testing this pool, and also have this problem, reject rate is huge. My miner works normally on other pools, what's happening?

Same. 100% reject rate mining with both GPU & ASIC. I get the impression the pool admin doesn't know what he's doing. He's failed to respond to emails & PM's about this when brought to his attention. Pity, as its a nice looking site..

Read somewhere on another thread that the admin said it is a problem of theirs, and they're looking at it. Meanwhile, I'm testing other pools. stuff not working with my usual and stable setup is a big no go for me.

has anyone compiled the code from source, please send me a PM.

need to spin up a VM so I can test some things on linux, if you have a howto, download wallet src, download xx packages, and compile using this, would be appreciated.

Would also appreciate this info

I started mining on the Scrypt multi pool about an hour ago and am seeing a very high reject rate (24%). From what I can tell, the pool has just been mining DOGE, so the rejects are not due to coin switching.

The rig consists of 3 GridSeed 5 chip units. I'm running Minera with Sandor's cpuminer. I left the worker set to the default difficulty of 32. The current difficulty indicated by the site is 256.

I had this same rig pointed at Wafflepool previously and had less than one percent rejects.

I looked in the log and am seeing things like this:

[2014-06-15 09:16:08] DEBUG: reject reason: Worker is temporarily banned

I'd really like to try this pool out for a while, but not if I'm going to see reject levels like this.

I think we'd benefit from PoW algo change + PoS. We could also go with anon features, that would attract a lot of people, but I'm not quite sure if that's a good way to go...

crymzyn, about that Linux wallet you spoke about, any news? Already sent you a PM, as requested.
4234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: June 23, 2014, 11:10:17 AM
Is it safe to push a stock, non-voltmodded unit to 950/1000Mhz? I've tried solo mining on a small coin with one of my unmodded units, and it went to 950 with no problems, and even put it on 1000 for a few moments and it hashed fine, no HW errors

Is there a way to run the wallet on linux?

It's ready when it's ready. If people run away, they're gonna miss out, their problem Wink
If to many run away it can be our problem too.
Coins die you know Wink

Fluttercoin seems to "come back to life" constantly Smiley Wonder why Wink

Good choice Cheesy

Pretty surprised with the anon features, but it's understandable why they are there. Awesome addition to this fantastic coin, although I still think PoT is the big thing here Smiley

You almost only see "BUY, BUY, BUY" on Mintpal, Fluttercoin getting a much deserved volume increase.
