4221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 31, 2021, 10:44:01 AM
In my opinion, Arteta's big mistake was selling Ozil to Fenerbache, although Ozil is not the type of player who is strong in defense but we can see if Ozil has an important role in Arsenal's midfield in providing pretty good passes and making it easier for the attackers to score goals.
I think lokonga is still not able to show his quality in the arsenal midfield and from the 3 matches that lokonga has played, I don't think he has a big contribution and loses the ball too often when confronted by players who have big bodies.

Ozil was horrible there, he barely played during his last few years at Arsenal. He was on a huge contract and they can consider themselves lucky they were able to get rid of him.
He is one of Arsenal's biggest mistakes in recent history, with Alexis closely following him. I have a feeling extending Aubameyang's contract might be on that list sooner rather than later.

have you missed the new contract extension with Xhaka? I can't see any justification for that.
Aubameyang is their best player in last years, I could understand that, to keep him a little longer.

it is interesting that for years they Arsenal has been considered a club that does not spend much, and this summer they spent more than the others. provided that they did not bring a single big football name someone who would immediately make a difference.
Plus there is Arteta, obviously not up to such a club and assembling a team from zero.

4223  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Friend borrowed 4 digits money from me, saying wait until BTC rises on: August 31, 2021, 10:22:28 AM
Hello, my friend borrowed from me 4 digits money (more than half 5 digits) since 6 month already , and we're supposed to split the profits and he's saying he's waiting for the bitcoin to be at high value to sell what he bought. I said to him, aren't you supposed to make money with what I gave you by doing day trading stuff, he said no because his excuse is: He's sticking to the BTC currency and if he sell some while it's higher he will have to buy it again (not really sure of his excuses, anyway it doesn't seems to be real)

I suspect that he is doing day trading (he said to me that he reads hundreds of webpages and watches videos on crypto so..) and he bought a second laptop to have multiple screens, just for crypto. I suspect that he's doing money with my money and invented a story about selling BTC on December when the BTC will rises "before going stable for 3 years" so he said, then he would give me some kind of earnings that we would split.

My question would be: does he obviously hiding a lot of earnings from me in day trading, that he would do from Mars to December? Or is he legit to say he is just waiting all this time the good time to sell BTC when it will be a good time(with a new laptop just for crypto that he bought, not a expensive one, but anyway)

Are you "supposed to split the profits" or have a clear agreement on the distribution of potential profits? there is a difference and that can make a problem.
if he hasn't promised you anything firmly in terms of earnings sharing, then you don't have to expect much. surely he has earned something so far and if he had the will, he had to give you at least some profit payout.
and if you have a profit-sharing agreement, who takes the risk if things go wrong?

I definitely have to ask you, how did you come up with to lend someone money, expect some potential profit from there, and in fact, you know nothing about that matter and are completely ignorant of how everything works?
4224  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake elon musk 5000 btc giveaway on: August 31, 2021, 08:46:44 AM
I wonder how stupid someone has to be to believe that Elon Musk will just share the money with random people over the internet. why would he do that?
scattering with 5000 BTC or $250mill. Does it seem realistic to anyone?
it's even hard for me to have empathy for someone who believes in such nonsense.
4225  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ads auction rules on: August 30, 2021, 09:24:28 PM
I just have noticed that 1xbit has placed their bid for promoting them into bitcointalk ad space. Out of curiosity, I have tried to check whether their bid is valid or not. But I have not find any such rule where I can be sure that 1xbit bid is valid or not. Maybe I have missed?
Is 1xbit bid is valid? Or not? Any reference for that though I believe their bid is not valid.

it won't be the first time that theymos turned off someone's bid on forum ads auction. I don't follow that part in particular, but I've seen bids rejected by suspicious bidders.
For example, hex.win

I will not accept advertising for hex.win.

These bids may be rejected - I'm waiting for more info.Current auction status:Slots BTC/Slot Person1 0.08 cat_rush **TENTATIVE5 0.08 DogecoinMachine3 0.08 sportsbet.io1 0.08 Dsdaq **TENTATIVE1 0.07 BetBTC(More than 9 slots are included above due to the possibility of one or both tentative bids being rejected.)The auction continues.

4227  Economy / Lending / Re: bitcoin loan with shares as collateral? on: August 29, 2021, 07:24:57 PM
Company valuation is $10M based on a conservative revenue multiplier, so 2% of that is $200k.
If you want to sell private company shares on same day though, you may have to give 90% fire sale discount, so value could be $20k.

how exactly the value of the company is determined? Can you provide some documents about that?
whether it is possible to trade the company's shares on a stock exchange or as pink sheets?
Where potential lenders can immediately sell these shares in case loan default?

4229  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Own faucet how to earn some bucks? Any Captcha (solving) service paying? on: August 29, 2021, 06:51:02 PM
As for the monetization of faucets, it mainly comes from short links services used by mostly all faucets and some ad networks that are still active. Without research and good preparation, any attempt to keep a faucet alive for more than a month will end in failure - whether the owner fails to earn enough or fails to defend himself against hackers who use sophisticated bots to steal what can be stolen.

in addition to this, I would add a faucet referral system as another possibility of monetizing the faucet. Sharing referral links from other faucet websites on your own faucet page can bring some extra profit. that profit sometimes remains even if the faucet stops working.
in the end, it is logical, because such sites are visited by visitors who are interested in such a way of earning money.

4230  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is ...<name>... still/on DT/yet? - Requests welcome. on: August 28, 2021, 06:55:16 PM
My .tk domain names (at dot.tk) have been expiring, and I didn't receive an extention email. Some are still working, some are gone. I'll stop using them.

If you're still looking for the data: https://loyce.club/Is...StillOnDT/ still gets updates.

You always can use your domain loyce.club for this purpose. Just add a subdomain, for example, "isTheymosStillOnDt.loyce.club". so everything will be under your control fully centralised  Wink and you don't need to worry about a domain renewal.
In this case, the purpose of these .tk domains is more for fun, so I don't think it matters if it's a slightly longer extension.
just my opinion.
4231  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: No one is perfect and anybody can make mistakes on: August 26, 2021, 08:35:15 AM

Don't you realize that you're perpetuating a time-wasting cycle of stupidity on the forum?

And for what exactly? Did you get paid anything from this project?

Of course bounty hunters are near useless as far as ICO promotion goes -- that's not a secret.

Let's see the agreement you had with the team.

Campaign owners don’t want to pay off bounty hunters, it's obvious. now they are already sure that scam accusation will not do them much harm here, so they don't even try to hide it.
just a few days earlier, they had reassured the manager that the project had failed and had not raised enough money, offering rewards $5-$10 per hunter.

Just received a response from the team.

It seems they abandoned the project. So there is no point in chasing it, I guess.

Hi ,

I had to reset my phone and lost the 2FA codes. Now I am not able to login into my account  .
Let me know how can I reset my 2FA.

Thanks,

Any help on this ? No way I can now login to my account.

Try on their Discord channel https://discord.com/invite/phaRuY9
I think that's the only place you can expect an answer, of course, if the question is not related to withdrawal funds. You have a problem with login, so there is a possibility that you will get help from there.
good luck in further work with these fraudsters.
4233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ICO's and the taxation. on: August 25, 2021, 06:22:34 PM
OP, sorry for your loss, you are deceived here and don't send any more money there.

A very professional-looking website.  It has a graph of all the different currencies available. Looked legit to me with my rookie knowledge.
That's very easy to create and is not a criteria to judge a platform that is legit.

in my experience, this is not so professionally-looking done. I found some illogicalities here.

In footer they say "Global Crypto Exchange Copyright © 2010-2021" even domain is registered in 2017
https://whois.domaintools.com/baizetrading.com
Code:
Dates	1,638 days old
Created on 2017-03-01
Expires on 2022-03-01
Updated on 2021-05-30

although they are very professional, they still have a "happy new year" banner.

In the end, they offer very high rates of return on investment. many will agree with me that this is an obvious scam and should be avoided link
for example:
USDT Profit 5.00%, TAOGE Profit3.00% 3 Day(s)
USDT Profit 26.00%, TAOGE Profit 24.00%, 15 Day(s)

4234  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] CEX.IO suspend your account by country on: August 25, 2021, 09:36:22 AM
My account is verified. I've already done the kyc verification.
I am not trading for the first time.

unfortunately, KYC becomes inevitable on all exchanges. just follow the drama on Binance and their introduction of mandatory KYC.

btw. Can you inform us, whether you have access to your account on CEX and whether you can dispose of the funds there, withdraw specifically?
4235  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake exchange scam in a kind of Ponzi scheme and high yield return on: August 24, 2021, 10:53:17 PM
There are simple rules which one could follow to protect themselves and their funds from majority of threats;
• Not, your keys, not your coins,
• Verify, do not trust.
If one takes their security very serious and view every prospect as a scam until proven otherwise, it would be much easier for them to protect themselves from scammers.

People making use of exchanges do not have their own key
But more people keep flooding to centralized exchanges as it seems more convenient and frees them of all responsibilities.

when human greed works, not much is thought about keys nor is research done. fraudsters always go to that card.

new big scams are appearing more and more often, why we don’t have as much news about catching perpetrators? Or did I miss something?
4236  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scammed by freebitco.in on: August 24, 2021, 10:47:16 PM
I find it very hard to believe that freebitco.in will scam someone for 0.001 BTC or less. they have been in business for years and have a pretty good reputation.

then why not ban me when referrals was active?  and ban me now when they where inactive?

Because we recently upgraded our anti-fraud system and I'm slowly going through weeding out the cheats.

..

reading this, it seems to me like you registered multiple accounts as your referrals. that's why it's weird for you because you are not banned while you're claiming referral earnings, now that you have given up on multi-accounting, you are banned.
honestly, I would be ashamed to complain about it here.
4237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin go high the poor will not participate on: August 24, 2021, 10:35:25 PM
I am thinking that if the bitcoin continue to go up to $100,000 and above.  it will be expensive for the poor people to invest. It will be for only rich people. It will be better for bitcoin will not go so much high so that it will be affordable to everybody to invest and have profit.

I will like to read and learn for everyone here.

it's nonsense. where they were poor people when bitcoin was less than $30k btw. it's just few weeks ago or when <$10k. now they too could be rich or if the price really comes up to $100k.
no matter, if Bitcoin value going up 15%, the same per cent is for the rich and the poor. so everyone who invested at least one dollar will have a profit of 15%.
4238  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [General] Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why? on: August 24, 2021, 10:10:38 PM
Hi!

This wallet thing is way too confusing for a newbie like me..

One simple question: Best free BTC wallet for a beginner that works both on desktop and mobile?

Thanks in advance!

there is no good answer here. something that is best for me does not mean that it will be good for you, and vice versa.
when I started with cryptocurrencies, nine years ago, I started with blockchain.info (now blockchain.com) and a little later with Coinbase. Both of them works on desktop and have their mobile app I think for both, android and for iOS.
that's if it means anything to you, they've been working for years, it could be a recommendation but nothing is certain and no one will care about your money except you.

Btw, since yesterday I noticed they don't allow German IP-addresses to visit the site anymore....there is some kind of cloudflare error. But maybe it's just that they only blocked my IP.
No, it's not just you. I can't access the site either.

But Germany is still in the country list when signing up with Bitcoin as of today.
Yeah, unlucky if you're not the owner of the software and have to wait for some external provider to edit the code.

they seem to follow this thread after all. made changes and users from Germany can't register anymore. there is no more Germany as an option in drop-down menu.
now it remains to return the locked money of theirs users.

they also introduced some restrictions and IP address checking, this is what it looks like on my first visit.
