4221  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's the mechanism behind bumping? Profiting in both BTC & altcoin possible? on: May 08, 2021, 06:59:42 AM
If a pumping is happening in an organic way then you may get chances to baghold both BTC and altcoins. I guess Elon Musk must be doing that right now, he is not simply pumping but he calls new investors through social media which means he tries to make up his pumping somewhat organic.

An organic pumping will not have big differences from natural bull market.

What is pumping? One or few whales manipulates.
Bull market? Masses participate.

It seems, right now, Elon Musk is trying to make up dogecoin's pump as a natural bull market. If he is able to invite more investors then he can sell those dogecoins that has been bought for cheaper prices. This way, he may profit both in dogecoins and bitcoins.

But, keep attracting new investors will make your BTC holding weaker which may end up in only altcoin stash.
4222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An obvious rigging of Sports. on: May 07, 2021, 09:20:11 PM
^^I think that's the weird part. You could always bribe someone and get a guaranteed game, like yeah sure that team should lose if that's done and I get that, not approve it but rigging in sports do happen and that's alright. However one thing is for sure, even if you are going to lose, at least lose while looking like you are trying, hell I would say play to win and maybe you will lose anyway? And if you don't, if the scores are too close, fake the part on defense and not on offense, let the other team score easier and act as if you were fouled on defense, call for a hooking, basically do all the faking on defense and just act normal on offense.

At least in that case when someone asks you could say "hey we scored this much points!! Why would we sell a game that we scored this much!!" which would be a good defense. These were just some idiots, they were so bad they didn't know how to sell a game out.
4223  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto vs Stocks on: May 07, 2021, 09:11:15 PM
Crypto and stocks have always been the favorite comparison of majority when it comes to the topic of investments. However, these two serves their own purposes and I believe they are intended for different reasons, only that they have similar functions such as in terms of investing, hence people pit them from one another.

Cryptocurrency is a digital currency which may serve as an alternative to fiat money. It is decentralized, meaning there's no entity, organization, or institution that controls and regulates. It used in online transactions only that, it provides stricter security when it comes to identity. It is also a medium and platform to generate money such as when joining the paid campaigns and by investing. Meanwhile, stock market is centralized which stocks belong. It is regulated by the government to avoid and manage the emergence of fraudaulent transactions and illegal activities. Stocks are equities that are part or portion of a company or corporation. People usually invest in stocks because of its long term value.
I do not consider stocks and crypto even remotely close to each other at all. You may live in a nation where stock market is doing good, or it could be a nation where companies are ahead of politicians, for example if you are in USA it is a good idea to have money in stock markets and that's fine, especially if you find a good company to invest into.

However you should remember there are 100+ nations where companies are not doing well because of politics and because of how the nation is bad, hence putting your money into crypto is basically saying "I believe crypto will profit me more than my nation can do in any way" and that is a proven fact for so many nations. I could have bought the best profitable stock of the last year and it wouldn't be 50% of what bitcoin did for example, and that is the most profitable stock, that is why I do not see any point on investing into them if you are in one of those nations.
4224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Path to altseason. on: May 07, 2021, 08:48:30 PM
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, what if bear e never come again? It seems there are millions of investors out there waiting for any price dips on crypto projects don't you think? Maybe crypto have leave that stage of deep bearish market?
Well, technically speaking a bear will always come, it may not be as bad as it used to be but that is just market taking profit eventually. The idea is that if something goes up forever, that means it worths nothing, because if nobody sells that means there is no true value, it needs to go down to show that people are taking profit and leaving so that the market would feel more comfortable about it as well.

The higher it goes the less people who will feel comfortable about buying it and that eventually turns into a bear. Do not be worried though, I do not think it will come soon neither, it may take maybe a whole year before it happens, or maybe at least after we go into 2022 at least, so I am not worried neither. I believe we are on a good roll right now and we may end up going up like this in all coins for a long time and that is very exciting.
4225  Economy / Economics / Re: Warren Buffett says he's sees ‘very substantial inflation’ and rising prices on: May 07, 2021, 08:33:30 PM
The idea that US economy was "booming" was simply saying that "everyone is making more money" and they were idiots. People are not making a lot of money, they are basically getting more fiat for the same work because of high inflation and they didn't see that coming.

If you used to sell a cookie for 1$ and now it is $2 suddenly, that doesn't mean that you are making more money, that means inflation went up and now everything costs more and you sell the cookie for more, just because numbers in your bank account became more doesn't mean you are richer, if you still live the same life and if your income still can pay for the same things that means you are not doing anything shocking at all. This is why I believe we should not be really believing all these business people who boost shareholder morale by lying, just look at the real facts and you will see the truth.
4226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What projects do you have under your eye? on: May 07, 2021, 08:20:08 PM
Swipe has been a good one in my mind for a while. It hasn't increased all that much during this period and hasn't been pumped like the other ones just yet, however I believe it has a huge potential. First of all it is a technology bought out by Binance and that is a very important factor, sure it still has its own CEO but as a company they are wholly purchased by Binance and that is a big promising thing for them.

Secondly they promise a feature, a card, a payment processing via bitcoin like many others tried so far but they both haven't published it yet so it is normal for it to not get high price yet, but also they will have backing from Binance when they are doing this, so it is going to be different than others. Long story short it is a good long term investment plus it could be a good short term as well if it gets high in price like the other ones during this alt season as well.
4227  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigerian Government Ban on Crypto, the P2P dilemma on: May 07, 2021, 08:06:04 PM
I do not think that free market is something as good as people imagine it would be. Everyone loves to talk about how less government intervention is great, but then this happens and they are shocked about it. When people on the left say that we need more government they do not mean lets all become Chinese communist regime and take control of everything, we just mean that lets put regulations and let people do whatever they want under those guidelines. Sure you can make a case on too much government, and that's true, there should not be too much government, but there should be no government neither, look at what happened here for example and see that government is important.

So, we need to find that right balance where it is not people screwing each other over, but it is also not government screwing people neither, there needs to be a correct amount of balance.
4228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Money flowing out of BTC into Altcoins on: May 07, 2021, 07:28:48 PM
Isn't it normal? During 2017 it happened as well, when the price of bitcoin failed to go over 20k people saw that making 2x or 3x or even 5x profit (and sometimes even higher) on bitcoin is not easy, it would take a lot of money and a very hard work and tons of good news with bunch of companies going in etc etc, so it is a hard one to make it go up.

But, if you want the same on some other coin, all you have to do is shill the same coin over and over again and you will end up with something that is as much as 10x because low marketcap coins could go up very easily, just one guy buying 100k worth could make it go up 2x very easily for example for most low cap ones. That is the obvious reason why bitcoin is not going up too much while alts are skyrocketing, because it requires a lot less money to take them higher and people prefer the easier method to profit.
4229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum on the rise: Sell or HODL? on: May 07, 2021, 06:50:32 PM
I would say that selling on a bull run is not a good idea, people should not be selling at wherever we are, they should always protect themselves against a drop in a bull run because as long as it goes up let it go up. For example put a stop loss in 3k, and let it go up as much as it can, if it goes under 3k, your stop loss will get out at 3k and you can get back in whenever you want. This way if it goes over 4k you will not miss out on anything, but if it is under 3k you are still selling and getting out.

This 3k is an example, put it anywhere you want, put it on 3.5k if you want and it will be sold very quickly if you are scared but at least it will be there. So my idea is simply that, do not sell at market price, put a stop loss against a drop, and let it go up as much as it can, when it goes up, switch your stop loss to a higher price and keep waiting like that.
4230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 07, 2021, 05:27:08 PM
I do not really think that Lakers care about winning right now. All they care about is getting everyone back on the court and helping them get back on their schedule, as long as they have a 100% ready AD and 100% ready Lebron when the playoff comes, that is going to be more than enough.

If they finish 6th they will play clippers and that is going to be tough but if they beat them on the first round, rest will be much much easier, at 7th they face Suns and at 8th they face Jazz both of which they can take out very easily if you ask me (Don't care about the standings). So, Lakers can lose as much as they can without going out of the playoff spot, and as long as they go to playoffs they are going to be fine. There is no point on trying very hard and going up a spot, because in the end they are not going to profit from it, they will face similar teams anyway.
4231  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Tesla Qualifier #3 is ON 🚘 75 mBTC prize pool 🚀 on: May 06, 2021, 09:37:27 PM
I see a lot of fun things picking up at Bitcasino;) Just feel a little left out because am a bit low on funds these days (not enough to make wagers to qualify that is) but quite looking forward to end of June where I might get something of a half year bonus and that'll definitely go into wagering heh;)

See you all guys via SB;)
You and me both brother. I mean both here and on sportsbet.io they are doing amazing stuff, great competitions, great "giveaway" type of stuff that requires some gambling, and they are doing it great they are very good at it. However sometimes I do not have the money for it and feel like I am left out, it is not a good feeling I know but I know that there will be a moment when I will have money again and I will gamble once again.

I haven't gambled here all month yet (well just a week of course Cheesy) but I think I am going to switch back from sports side to here eventually, sports side is getting to the "fun" part in the viewership, we are seeing who will be champions level of stuff, but at the same time it is not entertaining to gamble at those games because it may give me a heart attack Cheesy. So, I may end up switching here to not miss out on these great stuff.
4232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency, now a fast rising trend! on: May 06, 2021, 09:02:09 PM
I do agree that it is a new trend. I mean crypto has been around for a while, and I have been here for nearly 8 years now, and I still count it as new to other people. In 2017 we have seen the whole world hearing about it for the first time, before that there were a few of us but not like 2017, it was literally on every TV channel during that period and that was the moment it break into the mainstream media so that was a huge one.

After that this last year when everyone was sitting at home bitcoin was doing records after records which created a huge deal and that is what I think is the real thing, it put on top of that 2017 because in 2017 everyone "heard" about it but this year many of them actually got into it. This is why I think it is a rising trend, yes everyone knows about it but more and more people are getting into it as well.
4233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why I am confident Bitcoin price will still rise A LOT before the next big crash on: May 06, 2021, 08:47:07 PM
I do not even need a chart, I just can see that it is really doing great and that is why I am optimistic about our chances of getting to a huge level. I am not saying that it will be impossible, all I am saying that it is unlikely that we would go down.

I personally want to earn a lot more from bitcoin increases so maybe mine is wishful thinking but this chart also shows that it is clearly something that I did not made up, I was serious about something like this and turns out I was also right as well. We will definitely see much higher, I can't know how much, probably 100k+ at least before we have another crash, but I really do not know how much it will increase, and I also do not know when it will happen neither, it may happen tomorrow or it may happen later. However I am certain that before we have a huge crash, we will instead have a huge pump for sure.
4234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does the price always trend towards all 5's on: May 06, 2021, 08:20:40 PM
I believe it was in fives but in thousands of course. Like it reaches 5k then to 10k then 20k then reached 30k and 50k then 55k and so forth. All of these are levels of 5 and that is what happens, hell we almost peaked at 65k as well (64k and then some, nearly 65k) so I think it is quite obvious that it is levels of 5 that we go up or down. When it goes down it is usually around those levels as well.

But, if you want to make sure where it will drop or where it will go up, you can check out the charts and see that, there are support lines and resistance lines and usually those are the things that bitcoin move to, it can break down or above those but at least it will get there and stay there for a minute, you can use them as your guidelines when there is a movement in bitcoin. Those are usually not in 5 so you will have to be careful while using them.
4235  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria will overtake India in P2P on: May 06, 2021, 08:07:10 PM
Nigeria do not have a small population neither. I get that India is probably either the most populated nation in the world or second, it is a head to head between them and china, however Nigeria also has 200 million people as well. That is not something small to handle and that is a big deal. I do not know the laws in both nations very well, I can't speak on what is the situation in neither but I think if Nigeria went full p2p they could overtake any nation and be at the head, as far as I know India hasn't totally banned crypto payments just yet.

This is why I do not believe that it is out of question. Think about USA banning banking for crypto? That would surpass any other nation as well, would make them super high. Long story short this is not about population but more about laws, according to laws of that nation p2p increases or decreases.
4236  Economy / Economics / Re: The change in buying and selling in society is the effect of the internet on: May 06, 2021, 06:32:28 PM
The advent of the Internet made the world change. In the past, people who wanted to shop for anything had to go directly to markets, shops, and supermarkets. Now in the modern age - the era of technology 4.0, just stay at home with a phone or computer connected to the Internet to buy everything you need. It saves you time. So online business is very developed. Society now only needs money to shop at home.
I agree with you on that. People keep talking about "small business dying" because of internet as well, but in reality any business that can go online could actually survive very well and that is a good thing. Almost anyone can start an online shop these days which means anyone could make money. My spouse sold some glass paintings they made, even though they sold like 10-15 of them and not much but that was something they could never even imagine if they wanted to in any other case, that is the good part and that is why I like it so much.

Internet brought the world to our home, we can live in Australia and sell something to Germany and that type of power is not something you could have in the shop around the corner. It is not making people lazy, on contrary it is making people work harder and harder because they see success on the internet business and join themselves.
4237  Economy / Economics / Re: Could the digital Euro, Dollar or Yuan bank the unbanked? on: May 06, 2021, 05:30:05 PM
I think it probably will help a bit more. Not all unbanked are unbanked because of technology, even if you are severely poor and do not have any money at all, you can still start a bank account in anywhere near you. However there are very poverty ridden places in the world where people do not even have a need to start a bank. In my nation there are places where no civilization even goes because there is no need, they do not see the point of it.

So at the end of the day, what would happen if those people had digital euro? I mean they do not even have a regular banks so I do not see a digital fiat to be helpful to them, neither bitcoin for that matter neither for most unbanked. I am almost certain that most people who has ever been part of bitcoin also had a bank account as well, obviously not all but a huge majority of us did had a bank account.
4238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is May 8 the Dogecoin bubble burst date? on: May 05, 2021, 08:14:26 PM
Right now it is about 60 cents or so, that’s as high as it has been in history (even though it peaked above 67 cents for a short burst) and that is really unexpected, I believe it will definitely change somethings in the crypto world. With the SNL sketch I am sure that it will not really be a bad deal, it will probably not only go up, it will skyrocket. Don't get me wrong I find this increase as weird as any other old head, these new people who are from WSB I suspect all ended up doing something we couldn't even imagine, they all aped into something they shouldn't but they have done that in GME and AMC as well so I am not shocked about their power.

Plus they are making so much money that they do not care about putting some more into it, they make money from one, put it on other make profit there and put it on the other. So this SNL situation could seriously increase it.
4239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another Halving, Another ATH on: May 05, 2021, 06:25:44 PM
Why do people constantly cling to the idea that just because one thing happened in the past it has to happen in the future as well? I mean think about it, bitcoin did dropped in 2018 after the huge altcoin run, but that wasn't the case in 2015 when it dropped? So, maybe it doesn't have to happen all the time, there are other reasons for a fall, there are other timings for a fall.

I am not saying that it will never fall, obviously we will have a correction, we had one a month ago and we will have one in the future, that is the truth about crypto where we could always make a profit from the drops if we wait long enough so they are not a bad thing, just wait for it to have a correction and when it drops just buy more of it if you want to. Obviously we are going to keep going up as well, both up and down will happen, do not be shocked when one happens, it is not because of anything, that is just how the market works.
4240  Economy / Speculation / Re: CoinDesk editor believes Bitcoin will hit 1 million per coin. on: May 05, 2021, 03:46:02 PM
I do believe the same thing, don't you? I mean I do not believe that it will happen anytime soon, but I believe it will happen "eventually" and if you are in crypto and you truly understand what bitcoin is, you would believe that it will eventually happen as well. Bitcoin is a coin that is pegged to dollars, dollars lose value every year because of inflation, and money printing and the debt, which means eventually dollar will get so devalued that bitcoin will be one million dollars per coin.

Of course the fact that more and more people invest into bitcoin matters as well, the more people who wants to buy bitcoin the less bitcoin available for them to buy, and some companies or people buy bitcoin and just hold it for long term which leaves less bitcoin in the market to be bought as well. All these combined means "eventually" it will reach to a million each.
