Why do they not show the "Total Net Won" of a player?

How can investors see / prove the "Total Net Won" of satoshidice.com?

Because I think it is private information... sort of..
Private information in the sense of satoshidice.com keeps this information secret or in the sense of investors receive this information per personal message or can see it within their investor account?
4222  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SatoshiDice Investor Scam on: January 21, 2017, 03:42:02 PM
-snip-

Btw, how much is the house edge for Dice?

According to their investment page the edge on dice is 1.9%. This agrees with their payout of x2.00003 when less than 32145 (49.049% chance)
Thank you for the info.

This confirms that investors do not invest in Satoshi Slot, because the house edge for slot is 3,5% and in the "Bet on the house" terms and conditions is nothing metioned about a 3,5% house edge.

If investors get their account balance reduced because of house losses, is it stated what kind of game (dice or slot) caused this house loss?

Background
As you may be aware, a user on SatoshiDice had a BIG win recently.

On January 11, 2017, Underdog01253 (user ID 2789717) placed a bet of 0.25 BTC and won a x1215.92 multiplier to walk away with a whopping 303.73 BTC.

This bet was placed on SatoshiSlot which shares the same bankroll as SatoshiDice.
When I click your link, it shows only the recent rolls for the past minutes. Do you have any other source for his win?

Based on what do Satoshi Slot share the same bankroll as Satoshi Dice?

I really like Sparked but the whole thing doesn't make sense for me this time , I remember asking Sparked many times about the benefits of being mod and I was answered that the only good thing about being a mod is a higher faucet
yes you spent a lot of hours and I have always wondered about that but there is no proof that they owe you anything

I really hope that things will get solved soon , cause most likely it's a misunderstanding and both of you guys are awesome
There is no proof that they owe him anything, because there is no legally binding agreement. But there is also no proof that they owe the account balances, because there is no legally binding agreement.

According to your "logic", bitvest should not process withdrawals, because there is no proof that they owe it! Roll Eyes
4225  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can someone provide a legit site for me to play? on: January 21, 2017, 06:27:33 AM
There lots of gambling website where you can play with your money if you want to play with 0 deposit and...
Really? And how did my money go to this site without a deposit?
4226  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitvest scam how you were likely conned out your btc. on: January 21, 2017, 04:51:52 AM

There is a few people who have posted about yous guys in the past saying they bet all their funds away because you took to long.

Anyone who knows anything knows bitvest is not regulated and there other site 777coin is the same.

They answer to no one other then their self, they can run with your funds at any time and you would never find them.

Is this not a general problem / risk with hide the operator sites?

But sometimes there are traces. Wink

4229  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: January 20, 2017, 01:06:38 PM
We are continuously working to figure out what has happened regarding the reports of the missing bitcoins.

You can see within one day what happened on your gaming server in regards to a certain account.

We have time stamp of a login with the correct password that made a successful withdrawal on both accounts, that we looked up in a few minutes.
One of the things we are looking into is if there are one or several phishing attempts, what they look like, how many accounts could have been affected, tricked by the phishing. Is it even a phishing or did someone get hold of all passwords, or some passwords, or is it a list of user accounts from other websites and so on - its not exactly a one day thing.

Whats time consuming is:
What we are trying to figure out is if the fault is ours OR If the user simply did not have a secure password or used the same password as they did on other websites, ect ect.
If the site or servers have been compromised, we will refund the user accounts in question.
OR
If the user got his password typed in by inputting the password in the password field as intended we will not refund.

A 2 factor authentication system would have eliminated this problem and should probably have been implemented a long time ago. As much as we are now rushing to develop this feature, At this moment the site is as provided without 2 factor authentication.
So you need weeks to check if your server has been compromised?

Everything what happened on your server (login attempts, successful logins, code added, etc.) is recorded and your server administrator can easily check this within a few days.

If you were not compromised and if it was not an inside job, you could simply put the server logs on the table.

There are several indications that your server was compromised and you try to cover it up:

1) Shortly after your issues (account balances disappeared, hot wallet regularly empty, etc.) 2 players coincidentally win 500+ bitcoins with Satoshi Slots, would perfectly explain that your server was compromised and covered your loss with the 500+ Bitcoins won and reduced this amount from investor account balances.

2) Allow players to win more than the maximum profit on a bet of 1,9% of the bankroll and this contradictory to your "Bet on the house" terms and conditions.

3) The Satoshi Slot winners can withdraw their illegal winnings of 500+ Bitcoins instantly, while "normal" customers have issues to even withdraw 1 Bitcoin.

4) Player account transactions are not secured with email account confirmations, strongly suggest that the security of your server is also not sufficient.

5) Illegaly reduce Satoshi Slot losses from investor account balances, even though they only invested in Satoshi Dice, according to your "Bet on the house" terms and conditions.
4230  Economy / Gambling / Re: THE BETSOFT SCAM AND HOW THEY HAVE BEEN RIPPING YOU OFF! on: January 20, 2017, 11:34:44 AM
Thanks for the link, interesting reading. The company that Betsoft is licensed by is not and should not be responsible for auditing them, that should be done by an independent body.
But the licensor should be responsible to check if the Betsoft software is audited by an independent body, or not?

I do not know what the license requirements are in regards to a gaming software provider like Betsoft, but I know that the licensor has to proof the identity / addresses of the licensees. And if Betsoft has a rigged gaming software, you could sue the operator of Betsoft.

If nobody is regularly auditing them then why do reputable online casinos continue to host Betsoft slots knowing this, surely they ask for audit reports from their game providers or I would have thought so.
This would be a good question to the reputable casinos, why they use Betsoft. I know that many scammy and anonymous casinos use Betsoft scam gaming software, because Betsoft let them use their software anonymously.

When in doubt just choose games.bitcoin.com where all the games are provably fair and no need to register an account.
The best thing you can do nowadays, with all the scams in the height of USD million, is to register your gaming or betting account with Game Protect, because then you will have at least a consumer protection service included.

In most cases you can sue the responsibles, but players are sluggish and not really wiling to put some money on the table to enforce their claim and instread simply continue to lose $1000s or $10,000s.
4231  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SatoshiDice Investor Scam on: January 20, 2017, 02:16:57 AM
The edge on the slot game is higher than on the dice, so the Kelly criterion allows higher bets.

The SatoshiSlot has a theoretical payout percentage of 96.5%. This however cannot be determined to the same precision as the dice, as in the slot the RTP/edge is calculated by a simulation, known as the "theoretical payout percentage" or RTP, "return to player".
The max bet on the slot game is not automated as on the dice, it has to be done manually. The slot game has many paylines, it doesn't really work well if the bet sizes on the slot game would be in increments of 14.235, 18.503, 26.322 instead of 10, 15, 25 ect.

There are similar wins with lower bets. Overall, Satoshidice paid out more than the expected value to investors since the start, meaning that the bets actually generated more to investors than the expected outcome.

If the bankroll decreases further or more investors have an opinion about it, we will lower the max bet.
Your story about Satoshi Slot has nothing to do with the story stated in your "Bet on the house" terms and conditions:

1) "You have the opportunity to be part of Satoshi Dice's bankroll" -> not one word about to be part of Satoshi Slot's bankroll

2) "Satoshi Dice keeps the maximum profit a player can make on a bet to 1.9% of the bankroll (employing the Kelly criterion)."

-> again not one word about Satoshi Slot

3) You: "The SatoshiSlot has a theoretical payout percentage of 96.5%" = 3,5% house edge

Not that it would play any role, but how much is the maximum profit a player can make on a bet on Satoshi Slot?

4) No Satoshi Slot terms and conditions and therefore no idea based on what investors would be part of Satoshi Slot's bankroll?

Please quote the relevant to be part of Satoshi Slot's bankroll terms and conditions?

Btw, how much is the house edge for Dice?

4234  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SatoshiDice Investor Scam on: January 19, 2017, 10:02:56 PM
Your analysis of the wording raises another interesting point. It's not even clear that an investor is part of the SatoshiSlot bankroll in the first place. However, the loss on this day and a look at the recent big wins makes it undoubtedly clear that the bankroll is shared by both games.

Bet on the House
You have the opportunity to be part of Satoshi Dice's bankroll. The bankroll is the total amount that that players have placed to bet on the house and you are paid according to your percentage of the house's bankroll. Satoshi Dice uses a 1.9% house edge and backers get 50% of the house wins or losses. This means a 0.95% Expected Value (EV) that is shared by the backers. Affiliate earnings, Leader Board rewards and other rewards are not paid by the backers, and there are no additional fees. Minimum amount to bet on the house is 0.001 and there is no upper limit.
Based on their terms and conditions, you invest only in Satoshi Dice. They offer Satoshi Dice and Satoshi Slot, but they speak only about the possibility to invest in Satoshi Dice and not one word about to invest in Satoshi Slot.

How much is the house edge for Satoshi Slot?

I mean they do not expect that anyone will initiate legal action, so they write any kind of not valid or uncomplete nonsense in the terms and conditions.

I think this site is going down the drain. All the claims of lost balances lately and their unwillingness to ever offer support. Even their cold storage has been depleted lately and only holds about 2/3 of current bankroll (ignoring customer balances that are not in the investment)
It does not matter if they have only 2/3 left. Only a few victims will claim and first come first serve.

1) "Welcome to Satoshi Dice - The Original and Best Bitcoin Betting Game"

-> this statement on their website confirms that they speak about the Satoshi Dice game and not about Satoshi Dice as the website operator

2) "Satoshidice.com is operating under the gaming licence 1668/JAZ"

-> this confirms that the website operator is satoshidice.com and not Satoshi Dice

Also, I recommend to make screenshots of everything, terms and conditions, winner, etc.
4236  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS of SPORTSBOOKS. Please post any payout delays. Input wanted from all. on: January 19, 2017, 09:11:40 PM
"A" rated books
nitrogensports.eu A+ (2012)
betcoin.ag A- (2013)
Just want to let you know that promoting a publicly proven scam is a criminal offense!

My feeling is that the top 4 sportsbooks are safe to play at and there shouldn't be any problems getting paid sports bet winnings.
You should add that your betcoin.ag A- rating is your "personal feeling" and has nothing to do with the reality.

Even then, shilling and linking to a publicly proven scam is still a criminal offense!

Jake, I am not a specialist.. but I have withdrawn 60 btc recently. There is NO confirming email for each withdrawal. So what they are saying,. if somebody sat on your computer, and logs into satoshidice and you had your password saved, he could easily have transferred the btc.
Request some more help from them. Let them give you you access report, addresses where the btc. went.. So you can figure out what happened. I agree that their support is very bad and that they should offer 2fa to avoid such risks and, and, and.. thats why I pulled out two days ago.
Hope you can figure it out.
Whaaat? If there are no confirmation emails, how can you prove that your account was not compromised? O.k., you could request the server logins in Curacao, as the gaming server is in Curacao and they have to store everything by law.
4238  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: January 19, 2017, 06:23:10 PM
Just got a second short message out of Randian Hero, 15 days later:

"We have seen no signs of malicious activity. Sorry to tell you this, but it seems like someone got your password."

No word on how this coincidentally happened to two other high balance investors in the same period.

No word on how, in that very time period, this thread is full of people complaining about hot wallet problems, and being unable to cash-out <1BTC amounts, yet someone who "got my password" (and at least 2 others' passwords presumably,) is able to withdrawal >150 BTC with no problem?

The cash-out thing is really the most damning to them. Even if all of these account hacks weren't there fault, with their notoriously slow cash-out issues it would be beyond easy for them to prevent large cash-outs while they investigated these robberies; in fact one would think this "thief" would have a ton of difficulty cashing out even without preventative action on their part. Are we to believe that they "coincidentally" expedited the large cash-outs that happened to be account hacks?
Does he speak about your password in regards to your satoshidice account or in regards to your email account. Why does he not speak about passwords?

Because usually you need to confirm withdrawals from your email account and you have usually a different password like your satoshidice account.

I couldn't find any good alternative to directbet and i find them enough for all of my sports betting. Another good option could be sportsbet.io as they offer lots of attractive contests as well as have nice leaderboard prize.
From where do all the Bitcoins come for their lots of attractive contests and as well nice leaderboard prizes and cashback promotions?

From the revenue they generate?
