Awesome news about raffle, I don't really remember the details but yeah I think we had people from the forum win before so we know for sure there's always a chance and I can win lol.

Anyway, today the leaderboard updated after the weekend and it's nice to see Wink

Day 35 Casino Live Participants as of 11 October: 62 (-4)

50 is my target to be happy!

Murray will face Zverev, Zverev has never won against Murray, seems this time will be different but still Zverev will need a lot of struggle to win against Murray.

That's the funny thing, and yet everyone including bookies think he will do it. Which of course for me makes it very worthwhile to follow history and keep my bets there.

Only a small amount, but 4.75 for Murray to win is really worth it. I will look live and if I can bet, if Murray wins first set I will bet on Zverev to get a nice insurance:)

4223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most Large-Cap Alts Lose Value Against BTC. on: October 11, 2021, 08:01:50 AM
Don't bet on it. Altcoin people are very much like Bitcoin people. You couldn't convince either one to move to the other side in favor of what they have.
I have seen people change and open their mindset so I would bet on it. But they might be too late by the time they change their mind.

I think the best thing about Bitcoin is that you can never be too late. Yes, you'll miss out on the past, but if we have one lesson to learn, as I said earlier, it's that long term you always win with Bitcoin -- altcoin gambles never really make up for lost time unless you stick with big networks, in which case your BTC gains are always comparable.
4224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Shiba Inu Coin a better investment than Dogecoin? on: October 11, 2021, 06:49:22 AM
OK so no new opinions here but I just have to say that the strange thing for me is Elon Musk isn't being punished for his involvement in pumping all of these memecoins.

Remember when people speculated that he was anti Bitcoin because the SEC didn't like him supporting him?

Well it doesn't then explain why he's Doge here, Shiba there, and et cetera.
4225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: October 11, 2021, 06:08:36 AM
I have to say that this Spain team is highly motivated and they are full of young talented players like Pedri, Gavi, Ferran Torres. But in this very match, I think that France will win it. The combination of Benzema and Mbappe upfront is very deadly and lethal and Pogba is a magician in the midfield. This season, his assisting capability seems to have flourished a lot so I'm hoping that Spain cannot contain both Benzema and Mbappe at the same time and one of them will make the difference in the match and make France the winner.

Yeah, it's been all the talk. Gavi and yeah he's Spanish and yeah, I also think he's pretty good but if you watched the game, it was actually less about Mbappe and more about Pogba this time. The midfielder was a bit under pressure so credit to Spain for that but after a while he stopped whining and then showed everyone his class. That move and several others from him actually brought France back from the brink.
4226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 11, 2021, 04:57:44 AM
Maybe Barca need to use a different Champions League table and play as if they won 2 games already lol.

Anyway, all they need to do is win next 2 games and it won't look so bad, it's okay (I say myself).

Your point sounds like if the other teams weren't playing games while Barcelona wins two games! Tongue

This is going to be very, very tough for Barcelona. But honestly speaking, it isn't all that surprising. They had to crash at some point in time. Koeman is the worst coach you could ever think of and they don't have any real superstars in the team anymore. They are going to crash really hard!

Sometimes I like to make jokes about my own team, especially when there's only a lot to cry about, sometimes you just have to take a shot at yourself and your team and laugh together right? Wink

I said it myself often here in this forum last season that I wanted them to crash hard, to force a reset. The problem is, I didn't think it would be an enforced reset (due to financial reasons and losing Messi also forced) that would cause the hard crash.

I'm going to keep laughing at ourselves until this happens, the time for sadness has gone.
4227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can China Ban on Bitcoin have any negative effect on Bitcoin in future? on: October 10, 2021, 11:55:18 AM
OP you may be worried but I don't think investors and enthusiasts are.

China has a big news on Bitcoin every cycle. I was there on the last cycle, and I'm here on this one, and every time China FUD happens, has it ever affected you? I know for sure it never affects me, and I'm even close to China than I guess most of the people on this forum!

Use Bitcoin. No one can stop you.
4228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: October 10, 2021, 10:50:14 AM
Come on Spain! You can do it again. They weren't the favorites before, and they again are not the favorites in the final, but I think they play now without fear, and their youngsters are so excited and so hungry, we can see a big game ahead of us. What do you think guys? 2-0 win should be easy if we can stop Mbappe right?

I know the French have better players of course but Spanish flair to win!

Hey hey hey, finally hit Brett Lee's specials (46+ boundaries at 13/1) yesterday, with one of my Clubhouse "dust" freebets that turned into almost $30. And this after avoiding him for the entire week. Friday luck huh!

The specials haven't really stuck with me lately, mainly as they're all quite low, and today's World Cup early ones and F1 also not making me excited.

But new free comps are up starting with tomorrow's Argentina-Uruguay game!
https://sportsbet.io/sports/4-3-free

And next week's EPL features also: https://sportsbet.io/sports/bet-free-6-6

I missed that and I usually go for all the cricket ones but finally my journey in IPL ended when Mumbai Indians won but failed to meet the runs needed to qualify for the playoffs. Not that it was even something realistic to bet on, as they needed 102 runs and this current team is incapable of such brilliance.

My Bet4frees are all cricket, not football, but that's okay Smiley

Monaco were the king indeed once. Maybe they are not the richest club in the Ligue 1 now but I would like to remind you that they still had a great season last year. They didn't have the best lineup and they still ended at the third place. You might say that there are not many big clubs in this league. It is true though. But I would like to remind you one thing also that Monaco had a very poor season before that too.

Oh no need to remind me, but that's what I was pointing out. They used to be the richest, and now no longer are, and now they know how it feels like to have all the best talents going not to you but to the richer club and from the capital too.

They're still a good team for sure and last season did very well against the best in Europe but it's going to be a hard climb back to the top once you let it go.
4231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: October 09, 2021, 12:32:36 PM
No idea where to put my money however, seriously.

buy Bitcoin for it and you have more of it in any case... Grin
but fun aside ... the game turkey vs. norway will be exciting, especially since turkey is playing the first game under the new coach Stefan Kuntz and norway is traveling without their world class striker Erling Haaland Tongue
even though turkey has performed very badly in the last few games, it is very possible that they will use their advantage to win the game with their own fans behind them.

LOL yeah you're right you know. If I look back and see all my gambling losses, I feel so sad and filled with regret. Especially on dice. At least on football betting I am more or less break even (more loss yes but I gain a lot of enjoyment).

I thought Turkey would do it here. Baby steps I guess, since with the new expectations, better to not lose than to win pretty.
4232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most Large-Cap Alts Lose Value Against BTC. on: October 09, 2021, 09:19:46 AM
..especially now US govt says no plans to ban it. Now alts are being sold right back to BTC!
I see there, so with a certain country banning bitcoin mining, there is now an increase in bitcoin demand in another country.

I just hope that altcoin bagholders start to understand this and get out of their altcoin bubble soon enough to be able to partake in the bitcoin bull start. If they dont, they will be stuck with low value coins for another long period.

Don't bet on it. Altcoin people are very much like Bitcoin people. You couldn't convince either one to move to the other side in favor of what they have.

I take myself for an example. I'm Bitcoin heavy and even in my past experimentation with altcoins, I learnt my lesson and now just stick to the main alts I have, and never invest more than I do in proportion to BTC. And that doesn't make me an altcoiner, because I still never use them to the magnitude I use Bitcoin, and probably never will.

Yeah, stop losses aren't about safety of your trades, it's about protection of your bankroll. Why should your entire bankroll sacrifice itself for one small trade which was supposed to make a single percentage profit right?

It will completely depend on the trader— stop losses can be used for preventing further potential losses on individual spot trades, and at the same time for protecting your total bankroll from leveraged trades. It's not one or the other.

But I'm not saying it's one or the other. Totally with you here:) If you see my response it was to your comment about stop loss not being a safe haven, that is, it's not to make your trades safe, it's to protect them from further risk, and to protect your bankroll. So yeah, it's protection and risk reduction is all. That's why I see SL as a seatbelt/airbag. It's not optional, I would never drive (trade) without it.
4234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: October 09, 2021, 07:03:53 AM
Well don't put your money on Norway, they are missing several important players like Kristoffer Ajer, Jonas Svensson, Alexander Sorloth and Joshua King. And i guess everybody knows Haaland is not with the squad as well. I was thinking between putting my money on Turkey or goals and went with both to score in the end, therefore the game will finish as 3:0 for Turkey Smiley Here is your free tip guys.

I actually ended up betting on Turkey, but don't worry, nothing to do with your tip, just also thinking that for sure Norway would lose with this squad. Of course when the quick goal happened must have put a smile on the faces of everybody who also thought the favorites would take the win but then it seems BTTS was the smartest bet to take all night.

Going to step away from money today and leave it for tomorrow final in Nations League. Watching TV is all I'll allow today since I am up late.
4235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: October 08, 2021, 04:38:14 PM
interesting matches tonight in qualifications, I would put my pick on Malta not to lose home against Slovenia and probably some smaller amount on Malta to win

Czech is playing Wales at home, need a win to stay in second place fight, since Belgium already qualified as first from this group
Netherlands is playing Latvia, but will look in Istanbul for Turkey and Norway, since all three fight for top spot in the group

Turkey Norway has to be the best pick of games and if Turkey was Spurs or Barca, I'd actually bet on Norway but they can't be losing another game when they're the home favorites right?

No idea where to put my money however, seriously.
4236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 08, 2021, 04:06:27 PM
Recently, Lille and Monaco finally have started climbing the positions in the standings one by one. They both have a 3-win streak now. Lille are the last champions and Monaco ended as the 3rd. It wouldn't be nice to see these teams struggling a lot this season. I hope that they can maintain their form and continue to get better. I would like to see them increasing the competition level even more.

Wouldn't be nice? But why? Monaco were kings for a while when they were the rich club. Then a richer club came along and bought even bigger stars, so Monaco couldn't compete. It's not even in France.

And Lille's manager and stars also left, so their slide is not a surprise.

Why is anyone shocked or feeling uncomfortable to see their struggles? Smiley
4237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Risk in Crypto Assets Portfolio on: October 08, 2021, 02:42:36 PM
Never said stop losses were a safe haven though, because it never was. I mean, is there even a single trading tool/function that's literally just 100% upside lol? It's just a tool that you can use to "protect" yourself from heavy volatility, regardless from a heavy upside or a heavy downside.

Yeah, stop losses aren't about safety of your trades, it's about protection of your bankroll. Why should your entire bankroll sacrifice itself for one small trade which was supposed to make a single percentage profit right?

And people complain about volatility hitting their SL but let's face it, when it hits your TP, we're all just as happy Smiley
4238  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's sideways adjustment, can you still chase up and buy more now? on: October 08, 2021, 02:07:44 PM
At the same time, we need to remind everyone that you should not consider shorting for the time being. Even if there is a big drop, the big drop will only occur after an upward impact. Therefore, today’s contract trading advice is: still make long orders when the callback is around 53400-53600, the target range is 56000-56400; the downward break through the support level 52950 stop loss;

Too late though, every proper trader should be making shorts at 56, not because price will fall back down and crash, but because there's bound to be a bounce of resistance.

Only past ATH will we see the rises going one after another.

Not that I'm shorting for sure, just holding and adding. I'd add at any price now if I had extra cash.
4239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: October 08, 2021, 12:47:11 PM
Look at their CL statistics: 0 - 6 goals, 2 losses, last in the table. They need a miracle to qualify for the final around, let alone the Europa League...

I read that Derby County is supposedly using a different league table in the last two games after getting administration and a 12 points deduction, and it immediately made a different psychological boost leading to their games getting won. Players played more energetically and the dressing room was more alive, apparently.

Maybe Barca need to use a different Champions League table and play as if they won 2 games already lol.

Anyway, all they need to do is win next 2 games and it won't look so bad, it's okay (I say myself).
4240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polkadot New ATH on: October 08, 2021, 12:14:12 PM
But isn't the DOT dead already? It was supposed to be ETH killer. Rushed to top 10 CMC out of nowhere. Its been a while since that and ... nothing. Not much is going on on DOT, there is no good project, there is no good DEX, there is no traffic - 10k daily TX - 800 times less than on BSC (8 mln). I know that, if its not the end of bull market, and it looks like its not the end, everything will pump like crazy. Most likely DOT will pump too. But is a dead project evaluated at 33B$ a good investment? I would rather like to invest in something that succeeded (BSC, ETH, BTC) or at least something that did not failed yet. DOT already failed showing that no one needs it.

Although chart looks decent.

Depends what you mean by dead I guess. It's never been considered alive to my ratings. Market price is such a false indicator of aliveness, otherwise we might as well take all the thousands of defi nonsense coins out there and call them alive with actual project proposals, but we know that to be false.

But you know these defi guys. They just going to yak until the dead cat stops bouncing.
