4241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expedia Accepts Bitcoin on: June 16, 2014, 06:02:38 PM
Expedia uses Coinbase not Bitpay:

http://www.expedia.com/Checkout/BitcoinTermsAndConditions

Quote
Bitcoin Terms & Conditions
These Bitcoin Terms & Conditions (Terms & Conditions) apply to your use of Bitcoin as your selected payment method. Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. By using Bitcoin as your method of payment, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These Terms & Conditions apply in addition to the terms and conditions contained in our Website Terms of Use. If there is a conflict between these Terms & Conditions and our Website Terms of Use with respect to Bitcoin transactions, these Terms & Conditions apply. If you do not agree with all of these Terms & Conditions, do not select Bitcoin as your payment method.
Paying with Bitcoin

Powered by Coinbase. Our acceptance of Bitcoin is powered by our partner, Coinbase. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the availability of Coinbases services. To complete your booking, you will be re-directed to Coinbases website, where you will see the total cost of your booking in Bitcoin, based on an exchange rate set by Coinbase. The Bitcoin price for your booking will remain valid for 10 minutes. If you do not initiate a payment during this time, the Bitcoin exchange rate will be updated and the Bitcoin price for your booking may change.
Bitcoin network transaction fees. As with nearly all Bitcoin transactions, a very small transaction fee (a miners fee) will be added by the Bitcoin network to the total cost in Bitcoin of your booking if you are sending Bitcoin from a non-Coinbase wallet. This fee covers the cost of verifying Bitcoin transactions. Expedia has no control over this fee and does not receive any portion of the fee.
Bitcoin transactions are final. Once you initiate a Bitcoin transaction, you cannot cancel it (provided however that you may seek a refund per our refund policy described below). This is inherent in the nature of the Bitcoin network, not a policy set by Expedia.
Under payments and over payments. If, using a Coinbase wallet, you attempt to initiate a payment of Bitcoins different from the exact cost of the booking indicated by Coinbase, your booking will not complete. If, using a non-Coinbase wallet, you initiate a payment of Bitcoins different from the exact cost (plus miners fees) of the booking indicated by Coinbase your booking will not complete however your payment maybe processed by the Bitcoin network, in which case your payment will be refunded by Coinbase. After a failed payment you will be required to re-submit payment for the correct amount in order to complete the booking and the Bitcoin exchange rate may update.
Transactions complete once confirmed. Once a Bitcoin transaction is submitted to the Bitcoin network, it will be unconfirmed for a period of time (usually about an hour, but sometimes longer) pending full verification of the transaction by the Bitcoin network. A transaction is not complete until it is fully verified.
Refunds

Whether your booking qualifies for a refund is governed by our Website Terms of Use, regardless of whether you pay with Bitcoin or any other payment method. In order to claim a refund on a booking paid for with Bitcoin, you will have to follow certain procedures in order to claim your refund, as explained below.
A valid email address and a Coinbase account are required for refunds. Your refund will be issued through Coinbase, and you must have, or create, a Coinbase account in order to receive the refund. Coinbase will send a refund notification email to the email address associated with your Expedia booking (if you were signed in at booking, your Expedia account email address; otherwise, the email address you provided at checkout). Providing a valid email address that you are able to access is important, as it is a condition for receiving your refund. If you do not have a Coinbase account associated with the email address to which the refund email was sent, the refund notification email will explain how to access a Coinbase account automatically created on your behalf to claim your refund. If you fail to access your Coinbase account and/or complete the steps outlined in the refund notification email within 30 days, the funds will be returned to Expedia. If the refund notification email is sent to an email address associated with an existing Coinbase account, the refund will automatically be credited by Coinbase to the associated Coinbase account. You acknowledge that, if you are unable to (1) access the email address associated with your booking or (2) use the Coinbase service or access a Coinbase account, you will not be able to receive a refund for your booking.
Refunds issued for the USD value of your booking. Your refund will be issued by Coinbase in Bitcoin for the USD value of your booking, less any applicable fees, including any cancellation fees. Your refund will be converted from USD to Bitcoin based on an exchange rate set by Coinbase at the time you initiate the refund through our Website. You acknowledge that if the value of Bitcoin against USD has risen since the time of your purchase, you will receive less Bitcoin than you paid at the time of booking.

Love the design of these miners, so dense with asic chips, but the board arrangement of the heatsinks and fans are just perfect.

These guys just know what they're doing.  Wish I had $5k to throw at that August SP30 Group buy....  Sad
4243  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Slush vs BTC using 3 Antminer S1 observation on: June 16, 2014, 05:34:09 PM
Give this a read, breaks down the difference in pools:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=104664.0

Slush uses a score system, so sometimes you'll get a high payout per block, but then there's sometimes a very long wait times between found blocks.

BTCGuild has lower variance, since it's a bigger pool, and has steady smaller payouts, which continue paying out even after you've left the pool depending on the length of shifts you put in.

4244  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hardware - It's really hard to buy mining hardware on: June 16, 2014, 05:15:34 PM
If you're dead set on buying mining equipment that ships in a week and using your credit card, I'd recommend this company:

http://minersource.net/

Not the best prices, but should be on your doorstep in less than a week and you can use either bank wire, BTC, or credit card to pay.

Also, if you're just starting out, I'd recommend one of the smaller miners like the Rockminer R-box or Antminer S1 to see if mining is for you.
4245  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: btcgarden-AM-v1 sold out! New coming will be 21st June! on: June 16, 2014, 05:01:43 PM
Yes.
For shipping please check on: http://www.dafanglogistics.com/

That website isn't too helpful without the dimensions of the shipping box.

We know it's 5 kg weight, just need the L x W x H in cm

Thanks in advance.

4246  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: June 16, 2014, 04:52:31 PM
Cant we all just get along?

Yes it sucks that there are lots of delays,
Why do we have multiple pages per day of people complaining.
Nothing much can happen in 1 day. Maybe every 2 weeks have a talk about it.

I feel sorry for BobSagg3 and others from Minersource and BlackArrow having to waist their time reading all these threads of unhappy people.

There is nothing we can do it is out of our hands, let's just wait for them to arrive or if you are really unhappy then try for a refund. But fighting in forums does nothing good.

They are doing the best they can! and sending them X-1's out now and they got the X-3's working.
As for compensation, yea it sucks, Yea everyone wants this and that.
But they are already giving us a pretty good compensation and remember this is a small company that is trying to sell their product they are not made of gold and can give us all 5 times what we purchased.

This sucks as much for them as for us.

Shit happens.

Let's relax and await for our product and talk positively.

I can not wait to receive my 3 X-1's they are replacing my old blades that I just stoped using due to their efficiency and heat during the summer. They were awesome for the Winter I have my server room under the stairs with a vent i put n on the landing and it heated my house during the winter lol. Heck I might use them again next winter for heat not much less efficient than a heater + mining.

Thanks

Ash

Nice try with the newbie account BA!  You get no sympathy from us, especially after tying customers money as early as September in some cases.

Disgruntled, angry, and frustrated customers is what you get when you overpromise and underdeliver(don't deliver?) on time.

4247  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: btcgarden-AM-v1 sold out! New coming will be 21st June! on: June 16, 2014, 04:48:01 PM
So basically all cables and accessories are included except PSU, right?

Also, what's the shipping costs internationally to the USA, thanks.
4248  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Free unlimited electricity... where to start? on: June 16, 2014, 02:47:29 PM
If you have free electricity, first step is to buy a shit ton of asic miners!   Cheesy

That Mickey Mouse rig ain't going to cut it.

You'll need to invest multi TH/s worth of Asic equipment that'll ship within a week, no pre-orders.  Pre-orders will just tie up your investment for months on end, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.  Buy equipment that's either in stock, in hand, or that ships within a week.

I'd suggest buying a small miner, like a Rockminer R-box or an Antminer S1 just to get your feet wet and see if mining is for you.  Lots of setup, maintenance, pool watching, and hardware and software monitoring involved to ensure uptime and optimal hash rate.  Then if it's right up your alley, ask in this forum for pointers to the right equipment, then pounce on some 1 TH/s+ equipment.

Hope this helps.

4249  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Boycott GHASH.IO/CEX.IO permanently on: June 16, 2014, 02:37:39 PM
GHASH are the best, fuck the rest!

Says the user with the Ghash website link.   Grin

Centralized mining pool doesn't necessarily mean the best, especially in regards to a pool that size could possibly execute on the Bitcoin network.

When it comes to Bitcoin mining pools, bigger is definitely not better.  Just means low variance, and higher potential 51% attack risk.
4250  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Pre-order the Most Powerful Bitcoin Miner from X-Hash! Gridseed A1 1.1TH Miner! on: June 16, 2014, 01:44:04 PM
How much is the shipping for one of these units?  Just want to get a better idea of the total costs of this unit.
4251  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Define "ROI"... "Profit"... on: June 16, 2014, 01:35:02 PM
Easy, BTC IN, BTC RETURN.  Never ever calculate in Fiat.

We're all in it for the coins, so we should think, spend, and calculate in this currency.

If the fiat value of BTC goes way up, that's a great bonus!   Cheesy
That's true and all great but if it goes the way down then it's a loss...

Doesn't matter, if fiat value goes way down to a nickel, I doubt you'd sell.  You'd probably load up!

I think we'd all buy like crazy, and you know what happens to an instrument when people BUY BUY BUY!   Wink

http://newsbtc.com/ has various stories encompassing headlines, technology, and reviews.  Very easy to navigate interface, with clear subject links to get to where you want to read.

What is the shipping costs of this thing?  Just curious and wanted to see the total costs to get one of these units.

Thanks in advance,

4255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expedia Accepts Bitcoin on: June 16, 2014, 12:54:17 PM
LOL! They're not accepting Bitcoin. They're redirecting 'coiners to a shady site that will then send Expedia USD!  Too. Funny.

I'm sorry, but there's nothing shady about Coinbase.  They're probably one of the most legitimate BTC businesses and payment processors, besides Bitpay out there.

If you're questioning their actual validity and solvency, I'd suggest you do some research before posting nonsense.  Andreas Antonopolous, chief security officer of Blockchain.info, even did an audit of them earlier this year:

4257  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining ASICs Technologies Promises 6TH/s Bitcoin Miner And 200 MH/s Scrypt Miner on: June 16, 2014, 12:39:02 PM
Did anybody already get his asic miner from MAT?

I dont see any people selling it on ebay,...so i think they didnt start to deliver until now?

Nope, no one has a miner in the wild.  Only pictures of their office carpet, desks, and metal box, but no live video of the internals of the asic chips or a video of CGminer hashing away.

Fantasy land so far, though it appears they have a "partnership" with Mimocloud:

4258  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE EVEN MORE. UP TO 0.0016 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: June 16, 2014, 11:37:40 AM
I'm still waiting for OP's confirmation, or maybe I should change to another campaign.

The OP hasn't been online for over 10 days.I don't think it's a good sign.I suggest you change to another campaign quickly instead of just posting and not getting paid.
He'll be online on 5th july. Thats how he works. he just shows up on Payday to send payments.

He used to pay weekly,so why would he come back after a month?

Maybe he's busy working on the actual Updown site, who knows.

We should all give him until July 5th, and if he's unresponsive, then we'll all take measures then.
4259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Scryp mining stating at 55$ - MimoCloud on: June 15, 2014, 03:57:23 PM
That's quite a range you have there!

7/30 to 9/30.  Basically noob bait.

"Did we say July no no it starts in October silly!"  Tongue
