PS: I defenetly prefere the 64bit version. I would like to use 8 and when possible 12 or more gpu's on my rig. At the moment i realy stay at the problem that i can use just 7gpu's and have to take more boards + ram + cpu ...
12 or more GPUs??? AFAIK AMD drivers only support 8 GPUs, or is it different on linux? ;]

Are you (or anyone else here) familiar with multimeters? If so could you recommend any? Best if it could be used for AC and DC but currently the most important for me is to measure my 12V lanes' voltages. I found one at home that can be purchased for as little as $1-3 so I bet the actual voltage may vary by 5-10% (or more).

1) /opt/bamt/fixer has to be run multiple times (once for each update) for me i just run the command one time and keep pressing 1 to uupdate, and eventually alll get done. this is correct. I don't know where the idea you need to run it multiple times comes from, but it is not true. run it once and hit enter or 1 until it's done, you will have all updates. Is there a way to download everything all at once?

I would say a 'respectable miner' is someone who can makes enough bitcoins (minus electricity, hardware depreciation, time) to support himself in the country he is currently residing in.
Wow then there are likely 0 respectable miners. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I am not saying it is someone who solely relies on income derived from mining but someone who's mining profits are enough to make a modest living had he not had another job; in many ex-USSR countries this could be as little as $200-300 a month, especially if that person is sharing a two-bedroom flat with 3 other people and rents a basement or a garage for his rigs for something like $10-20.

If that came from anyone else I would have laughed at it. I heard people posting about it before and myself have found the same but the Mhash/s gains and temp drops are usually (at least to me) too negligible to pay too much attention to it. On a 6970 it was 20 Mhash. 20 MHash/s over worst possible ratio of mem:core or over settings of an overclocked and tweaked card?

Any ideas how to bypass amdoverdrivectrl limits on clocks and voltage? Is it a driver or card BIOS limit? On windows I could use barelyclocked to bypass clock limits on all of my cards and trixx for voltage limits on some of them (didn't work straight away but after some trying).

From Gavin's post, it sounds like they are changing the default client to actually check the database to make sure that a newly created coinbase doesn't collide with a prior transaction.
I at least hope it will not slow down bitcoin client as downloading all the blocks (and verifying them?) takes already too long.

WTF! 100% CTF and still going??? Can we go further??? I starting to suspect that something is wrong.
So do I. BTW. Pool luck (1 day, 7 days, 30 days): 96%, 85%, 96% Few hours ago the first figure was somewhere around 80-something %, anyone else noticed it?

With core OC and memory DC 5970 draw might be a little more or a little less than 300w. I heard a good psu will actually give you more than what they are rated. I think 4 is pushing it but you might be able to get away with it. I was looking at this 1000w cooler master with 8 PCIE cables and it says max output is 1200w. It will probably give you 1250 but if you really push your psu or board like that you might have problems with or without the molex. http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Silent-Modular-Supply/dp/B003O8J12I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1328504102&sr=8-2Not sure how this one performs but Coolermaster PSUs are on average just ok, nothing special. Pulling 1200W from a 1000W can be fine for running some benchmarks but not for everyday 2-6hour gaming use or worse - 24/7 mining. I would advise to keep the load @ 80, max 90%, I have burned my ATX 24pin connector in a VX550W after mining two weeks 24/7 with ~550W load. Got the connector replaced, working fine now, but the motherboard connector is now brown (was white;)).

In any case, it's easy to propose things— and the idea that the package could include a copy of some blockchain, with the according loss of zero-trust hasn't failed to occur to pretty much anyone— why not sit down and spend some time trying to improve it?
Will gladly help if you could teach me to program better (only know some php, rest is scripting and markup languages) and provide with extensive documentation of the source code. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Not joking.
