And what do you think about idea - to read, read, scroll the forum and find members whom you like and encourage them personally?
The forum is so big so even people who want to be encouraged might just didn't know about any of your incentive.

There is an old adage about horses, water and drinking. I want to encourage the foals who will become race horses, and not the donkeys who dig in their hooves and demand free carrots. Smiley
4242  Other / Meta / Re: Analysis of posts by senior members to improve the quality of forum content on: September 13, 2018, 06:57:53 PM
I don't read the threads promoting other threads, and I'm not sure why people do.

Also, I'm not sure why new members don't take advantage of the help that so many members offer. Fit to Talk averages between 30 and 50 views in most 4 hour periods, but very few people are posting there, and taking advantage of the English practice potential. You don't have to be a Bitcoin expert. Many posts are about national customs and politics, as well as English language help topics. The general section (surprisingly ) includes general topics, and my last post was about riderless motor cycles.
https://fittotalk.com/english-talk/index.php?topic=206.0

OK, that has nothing to do with Bitcoin or crypto, but if you want to improve your English, and you feel you are just a beginner in crypto, then you can use topics like these to hone your posting skills. This can help to build your confidence enough to make  interesting and helpful posts on the Bitcoin Talk boards.
4243  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk has made me a bit sad today. on: September 13, 2018, 05:50:57 PM
It is very rare now a days to find a user who joined the forum for only learning purposes and he doesn't have any financial plans in his mind to be discovered on the forum.

These are the members we should be encouraging. The Jet Cash name issue has made me rethink quite a few things, and there are some possibilities. I installed a ticket system on Talk Merit for new and junior members, but only one person has ever used that. I propose to delete that ticket system, and replace it with a more comprehensive system using Hesk. This includes the ability to build a knowledge base. and I can use this to route enquirers to relevant Bitcoin Talk threads. One difficulty that newer members seem to have is navigating the forum to find information. This task is fairly simple for experienced members, but must be hard for newbies when faced with a sea of spam posts.

I'll post a link in my signature when the system is usable.
4244  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will cultural stability be the political issue that follows immigtation control? on: September 13, 2018, 04:43:14 PM
What extraordinary replies. Controlling immigration is not the same as blocking it.

The lack of personal and family identity creates support for globalism not nationalism, and the disintegrtion of family associations. The real sadness is that so many people have been indoctrinated with political correctness by snowflake teachers and politicians. Their only escape from the grey non-entities that they have become, is to petition for the legalisation of drugs, and to use them to blurr the reality of the slaves they have become.
4245  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are we heading towards war - Is Russia that Stupid? on: September 13, 2018, 04:32:26 PM
The stupidity is in believing all of this illogical and false news. Russia is doing more to reduce the use of chemical weapons, than the UK and the US who fund the White Helmets. They are the ones using or pretending to use chemicl weapons.

Step back and read the true facts, and consider the motivation of the politicians and military involved.
4246  Economy / Securities / Re: Tell me what you think on: September 13, 2018, 03:23:36 PM
I think you need to publish a unique white paper that includes all of the details of the project. This shoud include the source of the income that enables the payment of the 10%.
4247  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Talk has made me a bit sad today. on: September 13, 2018, 02:45:50 PM
Regarding  your sites I would advise you to keep them, domains are cheap and hosting is free (considering that you probably host sites on unlimited hosting.

I've got over 500 .coms, and a few .nets. So I need to sell some of them, especially the .nets. ( does anybody want FU2.net for example?).

The wise accountant idea is really to help me to invest in some selected alts, and I haven't done much research yet. It's a bit difficult to chat about them on the boards here, and any public recommendation is likely to result in a price increase, and this will reduce profitability. Hence my idea of having private discussions. I don't want to create a group investment plan either, doing that would mean that I have to share the profits. Smiley It is far better in my opinion to have individual investments made on group discussions. That way you can control the speculation to suit your own circumstances.
4248  Other / Off-topic / Re: Maternal and child mortality. on: September 13, 2018, 02:27:50 PM
Vaccination and the insistance on the use of toxic drugs. Bad diet and poisonous additives in the food don't help either.
4249  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Orban and Farage stand up to the EU parliament on: September 13, 2018, 02:25:30 PM
I agree that migration would be a long term solution, and it would help to preserve the traditional cultures of the member states. However, first they have to control immigration, and the admission of radical terrorists is part of the globalist plan to destabilise national identities.

Apologies if I am a bit late posting this, but the site I use to check for plagiarism is SE reports.

4251  Other / Meta / Re: Cant post in ivory tower? on: September 13, 2018, 12:02:29 PM
Perhaps it would be useful to have a sticky on the Ivory Tower board for specific IT rules. Some people go directly to the board without reading serious discussions.
4252  Other / Meta / Re: Marketplace Discussion and Suggestions on: September 13, 2018, 11:33:24 AM
I've had a go at selling domain names through the market place, and it is a complete waste of time. Threads seem to drop onto the second of third index page fairly quickly, and I doubt if any serious domain name buyers would visit the board.

I believe that specific product boards would be beneficial, and they should be moderated by a person who understands the product. Bitcoin memorabilia, and domain names are two products that spring to mind. General categories just get spammed, and the worst threads seem to be auto-bumped.
4253  Other / Meta / Re: What would happen if I changed my name? on: September 13, 2018, 10:41:34 AM
Many thanks for all the helpful and encouraging replies and comments.

With regard to Theymos and name changes. My understanding is that donators are allowed to do this, and I think he has stated that he may include this as an option for a possible rank above Legendary. At the moment he is reluctant to make any name changes, and has only done this under exceptional circumstances for long standing senior members.

The possibility of my changing the Jet Cash name - I have re-read this thread, and I have come to the conclusion that my obsession with associating a .com domain name with a board identity is unreasonable on the modern internet. Whilst is is an advantage, I do not believe that it is essential. I have been a member of various forums since the last century, and JetAid is the first board identity that doesn't have the .com associated with it. Branding is an important   consideration, and I feel that "Jet Cash" is my brand, together with the black cat avatar ( which I also use with my Kuffy identity). I received a lot of criticism when I changed my avatar, and as a result, I changed it back. I have decided to retain both the sobriquet and the avatar whatever happens.

The use of the "Jet Cash" name associated with a payment service. I registered the name in 2002 to brand a payment service associated with my Baronets domain name business. I have used it as a private facility since that time. When I joined Bitcoin Talk, it seemed the obvious choice for a name, as Bitcoin is a tremendous payment method to associate with virtual assets ( amongst other things). I have considered creating my own coin, but have not taken any steps towards creating this product. I will not use the Jet Cash name for this, so any coin using this name is not associated with me. In fact any payment facility that is not mentioned on The official Jet Cash site is not associated with me, and therefore it should be approached with extreme caution.

The Walmart use of the name - Walmart is a large marketing organisation with a strong capital base, and I believe that any payment service that is wholly owned by the organisation can be used with confidence. Walmart owns the domain name Jet.com, and they use this to provide an online retail store. They have used the phrase "Jet Cash" to facilitate payments, and to provide bonuses for their customers. To be best of my knowledge, this is the only alternative reputable service that uses the "Jet Cash" name.

If the EU triggers article 7 to sanction Hungary, will this lead to an accelleration of the collapse of the European Union? Following on from the Italian elections, and the other problems faced by the EU, and that includes Brexit, wielding the big stick against a member state would seem to be madness. At least it will probaly increase the number of people in the UK who are moving towards supporting a full and clean Brexit.

Hungary would be well advised to join Britain in regaining independence.
4255  Other / Meta / Re: What would happen if I changed my name? on: September 12, 2018, 04:20:51 PM
I discovered it because I did a search in Google for "Jet Cash". I forget why I did that in all the excitement. Google gave me a load of Walmart and Bloomberg links, and that's what triggered it.
4256  Other / Meta / Re: What would happen if I changed my name? on: September 12, 2018, 02:45:14 PM
Thanks for the comments guys, and there are a few reasons for making this thread.

One is a selfish reason. I want to establish that I have been using the name for payment processing for a number of years, and lateely in association with crypto-currencies.

Another is that I don't want to be associated with any scam coins just because they use the name. The Walmart payment service will not be a scam obviously, but the name does seem to have attracted a few people, and they may not have established reputations.

Bitcoin Talk does take reputations seriously, and when I registered JetAid, I was contacted by a senior member to verify that it was an alt of mine. Quite a lot goes on behind the scenes here, and I support any forum initiative to block fraud, especially if new members or guests may be the victims.

4257  Other / Meta / Re: What would happen if I changed my name? on: September 12, 2018, 12:19:51 PM

Probably are. I'm surprised we don't see more of this sort of thing. People using other reputable members names, and knocking out their scam coin. They've tried everything else, and its only a matter of time. I haven't done any research into the matter, but I'm sure some have used theymos' name Cheesy

What would you suggest I do if they announce an ICO in Bitcoin Talk?
4258  Other / Meta / Re: What would happen if I changed my name? on: September 12, 2018, 11:33:05 AM
I didn't register the name to sell it, and I would prefer to keep it to go with my current board identity.

I'm a bit shocked by all the sites that are trying to cash in on the name. There is even a horse called "Jet Cash", and it isn't a unicorn.
I need to put together a page clarifying my situation, but as a quick guide, here is some information that may be of note for members.

I have two alts - JetAid and Talk Merit.

JetCash.com is the web site for Jet Cash
JetCash.com/jet-aid is the web directory for JetAlt
TalkMerit.com is the web site for Talk Merit
TalkMerit.com/support is the support ticket system for Jet cash and Talk Merit
TalkMerit.com/the-source Is the Jet Cash merit source blog
FitToTalk.com/english-talk Is the Jet Talk English language training site[/url]
Baronets.com is my domain name investment service.
upr8.com is my domain associated with my Steemit activity (which aren't very active)
JetCash.com/ask-a-legendary is the ask a legendary Q and A site.

I own over 500 domain names, so this is only a small part of my activities, but, from memory, I think they are the most relevant for BitcoinTalk. However, I expect I have forgotten a few.
4259  Other / Meta / Re: What would happen if I changed my name? on: September 12, 2018, 11:04:38 AM
I've been doing a bit of research, and I've found out that somebody is starting a "JetCash" crypto. They are using the .org domain name. This is not associated with me, and I have no knowledge of the site, the operators or the possible coin. I would suggest that anyone considering using, or investing in the coin should approach it with extreme caution. Any organisation that tries to capitalise on my name must be suspect.

They will be aware of me, as anyone registering a name should look at the .com first before registering and alternative TLD.
4260  Other / Meta / Re: What would happen if I changed my name? on: September 12, 2018, 10:38:07 AM

If ever that you ask theymos to change your username, maybe you can just remove the "Cash"  Smiley

Walmart owns Jet.com, and anyway the name is well out of my price bracket.
