4261  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive on [GLBSE] on: April 06, 2012, 04:17:09 AM
I have a proposal for Garr/Cognitive. I would like to see Cognitive grow, give Garr more to do, and I'd like a stake.

I got in on that bulk batch of Icarus boards a couple weeks ago and ordered two. They come with power adapters. With shipping and gratuities, it came to $492.50 each for me. I'd like $500 each for them in the equivalent of Cognitive shares, well below the original price for Icarus boards, but enough to make me feel like I've done well in the transaction. While the current highest bid for a share of Cognitive is @ .58BTC/share, total bid volume equals the equivalent of ~$100 (only ~$14 @ .58), so I don't believe that to be a valid figure to go by. Instead, I would like to receive issued shares at a cost of .525BTC, 5% higher than the original IPO price.

In total, I would receive roughly 389 newly-issued shares at the current rates. However, these boards are not expected to be shipped for ~ a month. I would not expect to receive the shares until you have received the boards. If you're interested, I suggest you initiate two separate motions between now and the transaction happening, one ASAP, and one when I've received confirmation the boards are being shipped. The first motion would allow shareholders to vote whether or not to have $1000 worth of Cognitive shares issued to me @ .525BTC/share upon you receiving the Icarus boards. The second motion (assuming the first succeeds) would give the exact number of shares which would be issued using the exchange rate at time motion is issued -- a confirmation vote that shareholders still want to go through with it.

If shareholders pass the first motion but deny the second motion, I will pay for you to ship the boards & power adapters to me, and no shares would be issued to me. All which ends up happening in that case is you'd need to ship the boards & adapters to me, and I'm out the cost of shipping I'll reimburse you for.

Cheers,

Ben
4262  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Icarus last batch "group purchase" thread. on: April 06, 2012, 03:23:47 AM
If your entire batch is so small (like asian penis...) when there are LOTS of people like me who would spend 5 grand or so on MORE ... to just close it out like this ... not smart.

He could be making a LOT more money.
Then do it. Compete, do better, quit whining because you were left out.

I am selling them for private reasons, so please don't ask.

Wife found out?

Just kidding.

That said, if your present deal falls through, I am definitely interested in purchasing them. I have a "Web of Trust" rating, too, though it's been a long while since I've used it. I also have a post history that will probably convince you it'd be a bad idea to let me have your Icarus boards. I kind of got screwed out of the "last 50 batch", I went on vacation for 3 days and when I came back they had made a new thread and sold out already.

Yeah, this is a pretty stupid way of marketing.  But what do you expect from some little Chinese dude.
Stupid ways of marketing = entire batch sold in ~24h.  Huh

He's not just sitting on thousands of these things. The current batch isn't ready for distribution yet because it takes him a long time to build & do QC.
4264  Economy / Lending / Re: ISSUE WITH GOATS TYGRR-BANK BONDS. on: April 06, 2012, 02:51:03 AM
Goat selling 3% bonds and then suddenly saying he'll only pay 2.5% while telling you that you need to learn how bonds work is priceless.  Almost as classic as selling an additional 2000 shares in response to accusations that he was running a ponzi scheme.
He didn't "suddenly" say it. It was announced at least two weeks prior.

The problem here arose because Goat does not have a bidwall up on GLBSE, so HK sold his shares to a third-party, not back to Goat. Goat stated he will BUY back shares. As Goat was not sold back his shares in this case, I think it'd be a hard argument to expect him to pay the difference between what HK received from a third-party and face-value of the bonds. But again, there ought to have been (and be) a bidwall up buying @ face value.

Goat's response, though... :/

ETA: Agree he should have stated you need to contact him prior to selling, too - which wouldn't be an issue if there were a bidwall up.

ETA2: Just for clarification on the bidwall - I forgot GLBSE now locks related assets to open orders. I also forget Goat has other intentions with this bond than profits. I was thinking having a bidwall up @ .1 would be great for him as it's effectively 3% profit over what he sold them for since he could just re-issue @ .1025. I never even thought he might pay partial dividends if someone sold a share before the dividend issue date -- that concept seems quite foreign to me.
4265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Evil of religion, and investment into IBB, Islamic Bitcoin Bank on: April 06, 2012, 02:40:12 AM
So anyhoo, I forgot to tell sen I sent BDK's March donation (.15B) to IBB a few days ago (but I'm sure he'll read this thread). I think I've been telling him this every month since I started donating, but next month (payment for month of May), it'll finally be significant. After reading this thread and the ridiculous thread seeking lendees who have no religious beliefs (less Atheism) nor are socialistic/altruistic, I'd also like to state intent to donate 5BTC extra on top of this month's donation (to be paid on May 1st).

Cheers,

Rabble-rousing ethnically-Jewish "hard" agnostic. (please assume all use of "is" means "imagined to be," and interpret commands as something imagined by an entity which may or may not exist [not that I'm admitting that is a known unknown!])

The community was warned, Nefario tried his best to stop Goat from scamming everyone and alerted his shareholders.  No investor at this point can be angry when this goes bad.

I also have been given doxx by Goat, it is legit.

Was his address a Thai address or a US address?  Notice how nobody will answer this question because everything I have stated is true.  He is a liar with a photoshopped avatar and is selling honey using a 3rd party to convince people he is in Thailand so that when it goes bad he will feel safe in his Mom's basement.

Edit:  I wish I could stop responding but I just have a thing for liars.

Why are you on such a crusade against Goat? Shouldn't a higher standard of proof be required before we start throwing the word "scam" around on this forum? Every other thread has one guy calling another guy a scammer on it. I know there are actually a lot of scams going on, but most of these scam accusations (not just yours) don't seem to have any evidence backing them.
That's exactly the kind of mindset a scammer would promote.... o.O

I plan to buy fancy cheeses made by capitalist atheists. I will not buy from Christians. I will follow this dogma without question. I will follow this dogma without question. I will follow this dogma without question.

ETA: I will use this money to buy all the cheese produced by Atheist Capitalists who accept BTC, creating a shortage. Then, I will resell the cheeses which I don't eat @ 4x the cost. This is my business plan.
4268  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a 2BTC loan on: April 05, 2012, 09:28:05 PM
So, ask for a small loan at interest free then be a good modelled citizen and repay and earn street cred.

Next time ask for much higher loan and dissappear ?
Wink

You can't build rep by just taking out a bunch of loans and repaying them. It used to work this way, then we were repeatedly fucked over.

ETA: Wasn't trying to be dickish/condescending to you, Clipse. I miscommunicated.

Thanks. Glad to see this resolved on such positive terms.

4270  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] TyGrr Tech on: April 05, 2012, 06:53:11 PM
I hold ~1.3k BTC in Goat's various projects (Nef has verified this).

Thank you for being honest.  This conflict of interest should not be acceptable to anyone.  Why do I feel like I'm the only person here with any kind of experience trading public securities?

AND WHY CAN'T I LEAVE THIS THREAD ALONE AND IGNORE GOAT'S LIES?!?!  It's like I'm turning into the Bitcoin police or something.  Somebody stop me!
How is it a conflict of interest? I told Goat this prior to him accepting our agreement. If Goat were to release my PMs, you'd know I'm eager to see the price of his assets fall so I can purchase them. I live in the US and have given Nefario my own ID. I'm still investing fair sums of money in Goat. If you count a personal loan to him, I have about 1.5k BTC with him. With as much at stake as I have (contrary to what znort may think  Wink), I believe I'm one of the most interested people in whether or not he's legitimate. I believe he is, the money is going toward what he says it is (he does have an account with Pirate in excess of 2k BTC, though that was put in there a long time ago, and as we lenders know where everyone ranks as having the most deposited with Pirate, am pretty sure Goat hasn't been significantly increasing his stake).

Also worth noting Goat has proven he has the hashing power of TyGrr Tech (and implied equipment, though I guess he could just be redirecting hashes from "Project #2" -- I'm not sure which was created first).

ETA: And yes, after converting image to pdf, then running through an OCR reader which picks up Thai, it does seem Goat is employed in Thailand, and has a now-understandably good knowledge of local beaches. Wink -- I'll be converting the remaining documents to text, saving to the encrypted folder, then deleting them (less in the encrypted folder). If I find an address, I'll update to say I know which country he currently lives in.

ETA2: The OCR is not picking up the ID cards well. I'm having to edit a lot of the characters manually after trying to clean the image up so the OCR software can grab it more easily. This is taking a looooong time without a Thai keyboard. I suspect it will take multiple days to finish, though the OCR software has less problem with the work permit. That said, the Thai language has some nifty-looking characters. I especially like the ornate "u" with a taco over it.... safety pin, taco u, double cart-legs.... I really feel like I'm learning something here. ETA3: I'll be asking Goat to translate some of this for me. I'm having a Hell of a time locating a "u with a loop-de-loop over it on the right side" in the character map just for the transliteration.
4271  Economy / Lending / Re: I am looking to borrow 15,000 BTC to expand my current bussiness. on: April 05, 2012, 06:47:37 PM
Seeing how people are more willing to make large loan requests I wish that people would make it easier for people like me to get single figure loans instead of making it difficult.I want rep by successfull payback of small loans.

Will someone please lend to me here? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=74854.0.If interested please reply to my thread rather than here thanks. I will need loans in future to build my mining rig after this one.
HK has good rep among lenders (given he is a lender and talks with us), a solid plan, and plenty already invested in his venture. We know about where he lives. You have a request for a consumer/confidence loan (tend to be very high risk), a fuzzy plan, and nothing apparently invested in your venture. Your given payback date is right around today, yet you are still asking for the loan.
4272  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] TyGrr Tech on: April 05, 2012, 06:40:01 PM
I haven't seen Goat's ID documents but Kluge has, and has told me that they all seem legit.

Did Kluge say what address was on the documents?  Is it a Thai address or a US address?  Is Kluge a holder of shares in any of Goat's listings?
I hold ~1.3k BTC in Goat's various projects (Nef has verified this). The images are very high-res. His nationality is marked as "American" (in English), but holds a work permit for Thailand. His employer is probably in Thailand (give me a few minutes to convert the image to text, then to English -- I already did this with some of the info prior to giving the green light to Nefario). I will not be releasing the address unless Goat defaults or disappears for an extended period of time (instead, I'll give an "It's in Thailand" or "It's not in Thailand" answer). I only still have these files because I forgot to delete the non-encrypted email and retrieved it. After this, I'm deleting everything but the container which only Nefario will have the password for. However, I'll convert all the images to text, translate to English, include them in the encrypted container which Nefario has the password for, then delete everything of Goat's outside that encrypted container.

Cheers,

Ben

Ah no time left to wait for the responses of the businesses I mailed Smiley

Still, thanks for the prize Kluge, I hope the ingredients help you in your work (and you continue to use my supplier Tongue).

You can send the reward to: 14ZPpzmzD3rc9UUcN97metVa3bn571Fxoj
Paid.

If they do get back with you later and it's a better deal than what was found, post in this thread and I'll give you the payments for the "future use" prize when I order again.

Cheers!

I'm willing to co-sign up to $5k. $15/$500 insurance. I trust HK, but am unwilling to tie up funds for the time required.

Hope it helps move things along. Cheers!
4275  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many days do I have to wait if I want to get a fake passport in Thailand? on: April 05, 2012, 03:34:18 PM
Anyone knows this? thank you.

Edit. 0.5BTC bounty.
You'll also need that passport to line up with a utility bill and third-party data hosted by the university which issued his student ID.

4278  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TyGrr-Bank 3% weekly dividends (2.5% starting April 3rd) on: April 05, 2012, 03:26:35 AM
Paid: 9.30102441
Owed (incl. paid): 11.601
Remaining: 2.3 / 3867 (shares I owned @ time of dividend payment) = 5.9478e-4 owed per share, or 0.0059478BTC extra owed per BTC invested @ face value.

Or... to make that more useful for you... 5.5947e-4*16810 (shares which received dividend payment at time dividends were last paid) = ~10BTC remaining dividends owed for the week. (I think. Verify it yourself, first!)

Will do it another way before going to sleep.

ETA: 16810 (total shares) / 3867 (my shares) = 4.347826 (# times my shares must be multiplied to equal total shares). 4.347826(times my shares must be multiplied to equal total)*2.3(amount I'm still owed)=10 (total amount still due).

Woohoo! I can math! Good night.

I've looked over the documents and told Nefario they check out. I did a bit of extra snooping before locking the images away, and everything matches up with outside information. There are a couple minor issues still pending, but everything should be good quite soon.
