4261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do when price is dump?? on: March 13, 2020, 01:21:53 PM
If your only solution is to hodling in this situation, then you are doing it wrong. When the price dump, it is a buying opportunity for investors who have spare cash. Remember that cash is king (in finance). It means that you will miss investment opportunities if you don't have enough cash.

That said, when BTC ever touch 3-4K level, smart investors will be ready to buy from dumb investors.
4262  Economy / Speculation / Re: A hard manipulation? on: March 13, 2020, 01:12:53 PM
The virus has been declared as pandemic by WHO it means that many investors are now preparing for the recession. Not because of zombie apocalypse or the like, but because of closed borders make the flow of goods and services faltered.

They cash out to avoid the risks while waiting for the bottom. Well, that happens in the mainstream financial market. Not sure if the whales also manipulate the crypto market at the same time as this negative sentiment appeared.
4263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion & Betting] Eurovision Song Contest 2020 on: March 13, 2020, 12:51:29 PM
Russian? Are you sure? It tastes like latin american music Grin

I've updated my basket playlist:
- Italy
- Germany
- Albania -> the English version isn't as emotional as the original, but her live performance might be interesting to see.
- Austria
- Lithuania
4264  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 13, 2020, 11:40:08 AM
It definitely REKT my early predictions for the bets on the March End price predictions.
Look at the bright side mate, at least the cheapest free-roll now pay 37 sats (at the time I made this post). When the price is low, it is the time for freebitcoiners to collect their free sats. I never won the 4th tier or above though, so unlucky.
4265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19: Avoid casino, play online on: March 13, 2020, 09:10:41 AM
I approve your message, sir! Playing on online crypto casinos would be the best way to forget about the virus outbreak outside. Don't forget to hoard cans of beers as well since what could be more fun than gambling and drinking beers in the middle of an apocalypse?
4266  Economy / Economics / Re: Coin prices down 25% to 30% this morning. on: March 13, 2020, 08:57:33 AM
Guys, a 27% increase over the last 30 mins! This clearly is a bull market now!!!
Dude, no need to shill like this.
I thought the price wouldn't go down below 5,500 but several hours ago it touched 4,100 level. Careful with the market, I was thinking about buying when that shit happened.

No one can time the market except Buffett.
4267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2020, 05:23:15 PM
Oblak made several world class saves, meanwhile Adrian made one mistake. Bad day for Adrian for sure, but he is not responsible other than the first Atletico goal.
Anyway, two English teams were eliminated. I don't see that coming though, RIP bettors.

Damn it this virus ruins everything. https://talksport.com/football/680697/coronavirus-live-updates-man-city-vs-real-madrid-postponed-leicester-players-isolation-australian-grand-prix-called-off-players/
4268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is below $6000 due to corona virus panic, what's next? on: March 12, 2020, 03:58:14 PM
Are you saying that the price could go below 6k to even 3k after today? Shit, I just went all in. Just kidding, or am I? Grin

Enjoy the ride guys, at least it proves that mainstream people still don't see Bitcoin as a store of value. Better pile up hand sanitizers, toilet papers, and medical masks.
4269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] There is more to Home Advantage than just Fans on: March 12, 2020, 03:40:40 PM
In football (soccer, not NFL), the football pitches have different sizes.

Quote
Did you know that not all pitches are the same size?

The length of a pitch must be between 100 yards (90m) and 130 yards (120m) and the width not less than 50 yards (45m) and not more than 100 yards (90m).
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/rules_and_equipment/4200666.stm

I know that the home team does not always use the home stadium as their training ground; however, they play half of their league matches on it. They will get used to the size, the grass, the atmosphere, etc. These familiarities will help them perform better. When a team used to play on the wide pitch, they will find it more difficult to do the long ball on the narrow pitch, and vice versa.
4270  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [DISKUSI] Fundamental Analisis Untuk Shitcoin, Did they work? on: March 12, 2020, 03:23:56 PM
Sedikit menambahkan Intro

https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/getting-started/general-crypto-education/supported-cryptocurrencies.html

Bagus ini OP kalau membuka jasa/website analisis koin, nanti ditambah mutual fund, kalo sukses jadi Buffet jr, asal jangan berujung sekem lho yaa  Cool

Anyway IMO kalo shitcoin, yang cuma listing di exchange ga jelas, terlalu kental insider tradingnya, dah kapok ane.
4271  Economy / Economics / Re: Can corona virus or any other epidemic disease can collapse Banking? on: March 12, 2020, 02:50:10 PM
Imagine Corona virus or any epidemic disease affected globally. As a result, all the economy will be affected and people will face hard time. Will not it bring an affect in economic balance? Which will turn into high inflation globally and it will result collapse of the banking system. Will it? In my country, the situation is getting worse for product which we are depended on China. I can see a significant inflation here if Corona Virus issue continued.
Economic slowdown: yes;
Recession: high probability;
Depression: if recession is not managed properly.

C'mon man, if banks collapse, crypto would be collapse (in term of dollar price) as well. You should buy canned foods or toilet paper instead.
4272  Economy / Economics / Re: Best Overview Of Corona Virus Impact on Finance and the Economy I've Seen So Far on: March 12, 2020, 10:38:21 AM
Yea, when a crisis happens, people would store their wealth in gold, and spend the rest to fill their bunker. The price of goods would go up, and speculative assets would go down. It's happening right now, look at the crypto price.

However, no need to panic since this event is similar to the avian influenza outbreak. The situation would be difficult, but not like apocalypse when riot is everywhere. It's just like winter, and we shall live past it. #WinterIsComing
4273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev on: March 12, 2020, 12:22:41 AM
Not really, although he is old, but because he is old and he has paid a lot of matches, he has a lot of experience, it is not easy for him to run out of gas in 30 minutes, it will take more time. I still believe that Pulev can make something, a surprise that is different from his victory.
Pulev will fight AJ at 39 years old (almost 40) when many boxers start thinking about their retirement. Yea, probably Pulev would look fine and tireless, but in reality, his age couldn't cope with AJ's physical presence.

However, anything can happen in boxing, and especially this is IMO, the last chance Pulev would have a title fight. If he lost, he could say "bye-bye" to his dream forever. The betting odds also way better compared to Wilder.
4274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: March 12, 2020, 12:02:08 AM
It's not like Wilder has no chance at all, but the likelihood is very slim. Lucky punch exists in boxing history but rarely happens. Who knows big swinging right cross from Wilder could land unexpectedly, and KO'd Fury. However, 11/4 odds for Wilder is not tempting for me considering all these above arguments.
4275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 20000 pieces of Bitcoin wreck the market sounds annoying on: March 11, 2020, 03:05:45 AM
It sounds very bad to hear that 12000 pieces of Bitcoin can wreak havoc of Bitcoin value, I wonder what will happen if a whale decide to sell 100k of Bitcoin someday, Bitcoin max supply is 21million right? If 12000 can bring this damage then Bitcoin is just like every other coins
Bitcoin is not as severe as any other altcoin where you could find 50% or more of the total supply owned by the devs (or investors, whatever). Some calculated the biggest whale in Bitcoin is Satoshi, with about 1 million coins or so, but he disappeared. Maybe these coins would be lost forever.

With that in mind, the reason your favorite altcoins are still valuable is because of the whale's mercy.
4276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is fake shit on: March 11, 2020, 02:52:35 AM
Yep, the crypto industry (exchange, ICO, tokens) is crap, but it doesn't mean PoW cryptocurrencies without premine, and dev fees (tax) are crap as well. Bitcoin is legit, and pure coins (if any) are legit as well.

I understand OP's frustration about exchange and trading manipulations, but it will disappear as the space matured. Legit crypto is here to stay.
4277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does anyone pay for slandering gambling websites on Bitcointalk? on: March 10, 2020, 06:23:19 PM
It's part of the competition mate, when competitors tried to DDoS, posting false reviews, cutting prices just for the sake of bankrupting competitors, etc. However, I'm not sure they did it with some "service providers" or did it internally.

For me, I use this opportunity to see how some casinos deal with issues to see if they can make reasonable arguments with proofs.
4278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 10, 2020, 06:08:47 PM
If "collecting faucet" on freebitco.in count as gambling, then I'm still gambling despite the crisis. I think I will stop the serious one for a while since my income will be affected by a bad economy.

Winter is coming...
4279  Economy / Economics / Re: My economy Predicrions are true!! Gold is trash on: March 10, 2020, 06:03:08 PM
This thread Grin
The gold price has been bullish since mid-December 2019 dude. Anyway, I don't think Bitcoin is the digital gold (yet) because the volatility is way higher than physical gold.

Regarding the OP statement, many pieces of research found gold is a safe-haven or a hedge:

4280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: March 10, 2020, 05:26:58 PM
Wut? Seven delusional voters Grin
18th July is only 129 days from now guys, and he expects to get a different result... I'm afraid this match would end badly for Wilder. Here is the statistic for immediate rematches:
Quote
Joshua will attempt to become only is the fourth deposed heavyweight champion to win an immediate rematch after Floyd Patterson (against Ingemar Johansson in 1960), Muhammad Ali (against Leon Spinks in 1978) and Lennox Lewis (against Hasim Rahman in 2001).
https://www.theguardian.com/sport/live/2019/dec/07/anthony-joshua-v-andy-ruiz-world-heavyweight-boxing-rematch-live

Will Wilder become the fifth? I don't think so.
