god i hate pools with high PPLNS target, you can mine for hours and still see no coins. I'm running away from this now, that's it.
just one question: which pool are you talking about? thx ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

@TribalBob: thx man for the suggestion, but nothing change ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) With the new scheme I think it has to be showing around 50-60 under full load and the other half comes from the averages over time. That is my understanding of it. thanks! a little step forward.
Now, cgminer works fine, but i have boinc utilizzation 66% when it would be 100% and, also, i see no hashrate on cgminer API in Grindcoin mining module.
I red the posts before, and i've already tried to write lodctr /r from an elevated prompt, and restart gridcoin-qt, but nothing changed.
I'm missing something...but what?
edit: my boinc thread counter is 4, and that's correct, and my boinc avg daily credits is 339...
Are you running Gridcoin as admin? do you mean gridcoin-qt.exe? no.., but now i try running it as admin but nothing change ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) same exactly values i had before ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) do i need to run as admin aslo cgminer? You don't need to run cgminer as admin but you do need to run gridcoin-qt.exe as admin. All your BOINC info is displaying correctly then, yes...? You are just missing cgminer hashrate info...? Are you running cgminer from inside the gridcoin client or are you starting an external instance of cgminer...? ok, i understand. I run gridcoin-qt.exe as admin, but boinc utilizzation 66% instead of 100%, and i don't see cgminer hashrate info. I use an external instance of cgminer.. so do you have my problem too?? and if i find a block, i'll get 150 coins or not?

You have 1792 shaders - GPU-Z will tell all. Try an even multiple of that, so 7168, 10752, etc. with -g 1 for 7950's. The wrong thread concurrency will throw HW errors nonstop. I recommend 7168 since it looks like you don't have much RAM. thanks, and thanks @ for the replies I try different values of TC, and the ones who works better are 7168 and 8192. With -g 1 hashrate get lower, i don't know why. In any case intensity CAN'T get highter than 13. Here what i tried: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.coinium.org:3336 --gpu-threads 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 13 works fine cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.coinium.org:3336 --gpu-threads 2 --thread-concurrency 7168 -I 13 works fine cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.coinium.org:3336 --gpu-threads 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 13 -g 1 lower hashrate cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.coinium.org:3336 --gpu-threads 2 --thread-concurrency 7168 -I 13 -g 1 lower hashrate cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://stratum.coinium.org:3336 --gpu-threads 2 --thread-concurrency 10752 -I 13 thread concurrency too high, cgminer error. Any of this string with I = 14, too many HW error I will try later with --lookup-gap 0, --gpu-powertune 20 and -w 256 adn see what happen it seems that nothing change ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) i don't know what to do ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif)

I really need help. It's 3 days that i try to mine gridcoin without any result.
Here, what i did.
1)I downloaded the lastest version 1.1.4.8.
2)I created the gridcoin.conf
rpcuser=user rpcpassword=pass rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=9332 server=1 gen=0 addnode=98.114.181.178 addnode=76.187.184.27:9778 addnode=66.187.94.194:9778 addnode=76.74.177.224:9778 addnode=84.125.196.167:9778 addnode=71.233.139.62:9778 addnode=72.92.48.105:97788
3)I started the wallet, and it succesfully sincronyed without any problem
4)I started my BOINC client, with WCG project running at 100% cpu
5)i started cgminer 3.7.2 with this string:
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o 127.0.0.1:9332 -u user -p pass --gpu-threads 2 --thread-concurrency 7168 -I 13 -g 1
but it says: POOL 0 slow/donw or Url or credential invalid
But user and pass are the same of .conf! I'm sure! any help?

where are the miners ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) is there another new altcoin they are jumping on ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) All days new coins big miner jump into. Hope CAT could jump into a exchange soon. Without exchange miners cant cover their powercost an they jump to another coin they can make shorterm profit. They are back on the Dogewagon, of course. And BTW, no exchange is gonna pick up any coin until it meets specs. i.e. the 10 minute block target rate. And that is still several days away. waltsmith could you please explain a bit more detailed. Does that mean difficulty has to raise until there are only 50 coins each 10 minutes i didn't understand ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) block time is 10 minutes now...

Syncing Update: 6.0 seems to be going relatively good, breaking the problem up into 2 pieces: 1) Not able to sync even after restarting Gridcoin <----------- I believe 6.0 fixed this one 2) Client stops talking to peers, 4500 internal gridcoin peers (debug log says Connection Failure) - Looks to user like a sync issue, but a restart fixes this.
If we can confirm #2 is the only issue left regarding syncing, Ill focus on #2 next.
Rob H.
where can i find release 6.0? http://gridcoin.us/download/gridcoin.msithx! with 500kh/s i still can mine in solo?

Have you downloaded AMD App SDK ? Which version ?
yes, i downloaded it when i downloaded catalyst 13.9. I don't remeber the version...one of the last, i suppose.. Make sure you have installed the latest SDK. It is very important for mining. Your SDK version actually affects hashrate more than the drivers. In your Add/Remove Programs, you should see both Catalyst and SDK. If you want to try a clean install , this link here can help you out with setting up your miner. This link will help you understand how to overclock and optimize your rig. I was getting about 575KHS per card with no overclocking at all and I haven't seen HW errors ever. i'm sure i have istalled SDK with the driver, but in may Add/Remove Programs i see only AMD catalyst install manager... ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) P.S: thx for the links, very interesting!
