4261  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Scrypt ASIC / SHA-256 combo miners Pics details on: February 06, 2014, 05:14:26 PM
I have bought a set from Mr. Jack Liao @ alibaba and received it yesterday.
After struggling true the chinese setup guide, i am now mining scrypt @ +/- 3000 Khs

Now i still need to build some kind of case to put everything in, because now with all those wires & coolers it is a big mess
so sorry for dhl delay.
you should can run it at 3800+KHS. try it.
if you want guide, just let me know.
pay me some tips.
thanks.

I had no problems with the dhl delay Smiley i had patience Smiley

I did all the firmware upgrades, any other tricks?

Dude ask how much the tip is, if it's worth it then DO IT.
They sell these stuff so I am sure they know all the tricks.

Asiabtc is legit, many people received orders from him. Stop talking shit and read all topics before posting.

+1

I have been following asiabtc's threads and reviews both here and on litecointalk, so I can definitely say that asiabtc is legit.

A bit pricey for my taste (waiting for better prices on the 10MH), but legit.

Notr for purchasers:

Do not buy the 650w thermtake PSU, as I junked 18 of them, all bad within a week of powering 1 ant, using 1 PCI-e and 1 rewired CPU 8 pin. Also having a bit of trouble with the Roswell 750w 80+ bronze, 5/10 of them have burned out.
thats gotta hurt!!

were your thermtake 650s bronzes as well?

my OCZ1000w gold 80+ for 2 miners OC to 400Mhz easy!!     (has 6, SIX PCI-e ports)

( i use 375Mhz due to ambient heat)

also my ants also arrived sparkling new, no dust at all under fans or in grills - in the 2 weeks iv had em they've accumulated plenty...

not to say theyre not premined but mine were very very clean (like new) apart from the dribbled out thermal paste on the 2nd rig

old boards on new heatsinks? hardly seems worth the bother..

Well that's bad. Just received several Thermtake 630W Berlin (http://www.ebay.de/itm/191036258927?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649)

This one has 2 x 6+2 Pin. You think the ants will burn them if overclocked to 400?

I am using a Thermaltake 500w on my Ant. It has 2 6+2 PCI-E connections.
Works fine so far.
NOTE: I have not nor I am planning to overclock my Ant.

for the love of god dude, you're buying a sha256 miner, you can't mine scrypt coins, do some research and please don't try to help us

4267  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 05, 2014, 11:13:24 PM
I assume that he is looking for a discount on 10 units. Not the best way to go about asking for one IMO.

Not only that, but he wont get one Smiley

+1
Also, I think that this guy thinks that because he is going to order 10 units they will drop whatever it is that they are doing to get to his order ASAP!!!!!

Didn't he hear about the ones that ordered 100+ units?

4268  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Another bitcoin miner manufacturer on: February 05, 2014, 09:49:47 PM
Or you could rent the machines you build like the cloud hashers do... possibly.

Sorry I am guessing that is not possible.

You will have to pre-order your miners and wait for them to arrive....

PS: I am just trying to be funny here Smiley

WHy do you wanna order a 180Ghs machine? It will be a longgg time before you see your investment back tbh.

Yeah you are probably right...
He should pre-order a 6-10K$ miner and wait 3-4 months for that!

Yeah, I agree with you....

This is not a bad idea if he thinks the price of BTC will drop... get the BTC now, convert it to X amount of fiat.  At the end of the contract, convert that X amount of fiat back to BTC - he might end up with more BTC.

Come again?
I'll give you an example using made up figures.

1. Today 1BTC = $800.
2. Mining 10 GH/s for one month will return 1BTC.
3. OP thinks the price of BTC will be $100 in one month.
4. OP sells the 10GH/s mining for one month for 0.5BTC.
5. OP takes the 0.5BTC, converts it into $400.
6. At the end of the month, he converts the $400 back into BTC, at $100 per BTC.
7. OP now holds 4BTC, instead of just 1BTC that he would have if he just held the 10 GH/s and mined.

Well then why don't you buy some shares? Wink

4277  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Immediate hashing] 738 gh/s available on: February 05, 2014, 04:51:08 PM
Can you please explain to me why you are selling at $4/GH where it is strongly profitable for you not to do so and just self-mine? I don't understand why you would give up ~2.5 BTC profit by May 13th by locking in sales of shares now at ~27% below the market rate (Using $5.5/GH as the market rate -- S1's shipping Feb 8 ).

This may just be a great deal, but I would like to understand your motivation for taking much less money now.

I'm doing it because i need to get trusted and known here to promote my projects.
So i thought to do this, help people, earn too, and get trusted.
When you all trust me i'll be ready to explain my projects.

I call bullshit!
4278  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Immediate hashing] 718 gh/s available on: February 05, 2014, 04:46:28 PM
It is rather strange that this newbie has the same "accent" as minewithmind : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=366855.0

He too is selling nothing but shares but nobody got anything yet.

If you are for real then prove it.

If you can prove it then maybe I will grab 100-200GH of your GB.

Till then I call this "a high risk investment"

Hello guys ,today i got my miner finally from the customers  Shocked , its my first time setting Bitmain miners, and i am going to buy the PSU now, so i just want to get sure that any PSU with 450 W will be good right? , also i will get an antena to make it work in wireless.

is there anything else should i consider ?

Thanks in Advance.

Bro get a bigger PSU.
Something like 600w+

You might want to overclock at some point.

Also make sure it is a good one as power quality matters a lot.
Get a Gold one.

+1
Mine failed to boot up using a 500W. A fuse just kept blowing in the PSU. Everything fine using a 600W.

BITMAIN stated 360W, I bought a 750W for 2 miners. That makes me worry now... Are there measurements available somewhere? Normal and over clocked?

Dont worry, if you bought a good quality PSU then I it is just fine.
Are you getting any problems?
If no then you are good to go.
If yes change your PSU.

Also 360w is normal.

I wouldn't try to overclock 2 miners on a 750w PSU though.
Definitely not.
