4261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 09, 2021, 09:58:13 PM
Congratulations to NIKOLA JOKIC for winning THE 2021 NBA MVP AWARD.

It was a close match between Embiid but he actually deserves it as well. We haven't seen an NBA Center winning MVP since Shaq in 2000, I'm glad that he made it this year.

I believe that any other choice would be unfair. The Joker has played brilliantly all season and now he is pulling Denver in the playoffs as well, despite many injuries to his teammates. Jokic was named the MVP as the lowest drafted player in the league's long history. In 2014, he was selected by the Nuggets with number 41. Out of 101 voters, Jokić received 91 nominations. Second was Steph Curry (5), then Chris Paul (2), Joel Embiid, Derrick Rose and Giannis Antetokounmpo, one each. Who the hell voted for D-Rose?! Smiley

Agreed, especially after Jamal Murray went down Jokic stepped up le an MVP would.  Dude has a very silky slow game that no one can seem to stop its actually amazing to watch.  The game just seems so slow for him, where other players have to be so twitchy to shake players.
4262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: June 09, 2021, 09:55:52 PM
The league is almost full the only one left to register is wheelz1200, everyone else is already in and if I might add you have selected some very interesting names for your teams. Wink

Where are the user manuals and the instructions for this? I registered but I do not know how to play this game...
The first step is to learn how the draft works, here is the link to the mock draft lobby where you can see how this works and experience first hand how the whole thing will work in the case we do a snake live draft, right now the only difference is that you have less time to draft than the current settings so a whole mock draft could last between 30 to 40 minutes, and do not worry you are not the only one playing fantasy football for the first time, I am on the same boat.

https://fantasy.espn.com/football/mockdraftlobby?ex_cid=FFL2019_FantasyIndexNavMockLobby

I'm coming in! Love me some fantasy football who doesnt like getting to draft Justin tucker in the 1st and jets defense in the second.  Will sign up tomorrow afternoon.  Will there be a talking smack thread up and running 😀?
4263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Wagerr speculation thread on: June 09, 2021, 09:53:11 PM
Upon checking the website, it seems like a great project. I wasn't aware of this until now and I hope that it could bring a new way. It's been around for a couple of years now and I think it's a great approach towards the gambling industry. Now that you mentioned this, I think it's a great time to buy this. Grin

Just in case you have some quick help  they have a quite active telegram channel https://t.me/wagerrcoin

Looks like this bull is passing WGR by its back down to 6 cent there is not enough drive from the team to get wagerr noticed.
They are not willing to spend any money on marketing.

Yep, have to agree on that : seems like the team is much more focused on development than on marketing.
Still think this coin is an undervalued gem thou.

Remember BetaMax ?

Mmh not sure: are you referring to video cassette recorder system developed by Sony ages ago?

wow you are Old (like me) .. yes thats what i was refering to it was much better then VHS .  VHS took the market  Betamax is mostly forgotten.
Better product doesnt allways win if it doesnt get marketed and promoted properly and thats Wagerrs problem the team is not willing to spend money on promotion.

It doesn't, just look at augur.  Completely inferior product but because it's on known exchanges and decent press upfront it has a much higher market cap.  Unfortunate because wagerr dogs auger

It's fine I'd rather see a use for all these worthless alts.  Whether or not it's price rises right now not worried.  99.9999% of these alts that are literally clones that serve no purpose will disappear during the next bear, the small amount of coins like wagerr will keep trucking along.
4265  Economy / Speculation / Re: I cannot stop buying on: June 08, 2021, 08:02:13 PM
I think I am addicted to buying Bitcoin. I buy only little by little but this is too addictive. I still have some cash but that money is being spent on buying Bitcoin every day. Do you think this is wise or should I stop for few days?

Cost averaging is always a good strategy.  In its entire history knowing what we know now I would say it's a perfect strategy.  No need to stop now if it goes down to $5k buying all the way down will bring your overall costs.  Then when orange coin pops again you will be sitting better than if you just stopped buying on the way down.
4266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most of your coins are going to be worthless in years. on: June 07, 2021, 11:06:38 PM
It has to be said. Its common sense. There are thousands of coins. Scamcoin, losercoin, Shiba coin. All real coins btw.

Yes there will be a couple coins that are very valuable in a couple years but the vast majority of them will be worthless.

Only coins that do things will be valuable. Coins that you have that are just there to hopefully go up on value so you can profit will be worthless.

Its like the dot com boom. You are betting on websites. Which website is going to get the most visitors. Most died.

Exactly these are mostly just clone coins meant to make the "developers" more bitcoin that is all.  Like all schemes little people will actually make money but most will be fleeced to enrichen a small few.  Steer clear and keep most of your money in bitcoin.  Anything else and it will be just another sob story thread in the next hard bear market.
4267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the older Meme coins a good investment? on: June 07, 2021, 11:04:12 PM
There's PandaCoin

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1960307.1260;topicseen

and LiteDoge

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1308769.0

I know there are many more but not sure about the others that are still around and family friendly.

They are all worthless.  Will people utilize low volume and pump these to line themselves with free bitcoin, yep.  Does that make it a good "investment" oh my God no.  Do yourself a favor and don't get caught up in all the crap.  Don't buy something simply because they "meme".
4268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: June 07, 2021, 11:01:09 PM
The line in game 2 (Nets vs Bucks) is a bit strange, Harden is out, just like in game 1, but are we not seeing how the Nets dominated the Bucks in game 1?
Please experts, can you share your thoughts on why this happened? I'm worried about my bet on the Nets.

It's a trap game for the Nets.  First game is very different than the second.  Bucks do not want to get down 2 games to none so chances are game gets closer.  With that being said I love the Nets in every one of these games.  Do I think they will sweep, no but I got money on 5 or 6 game series.  They Match up real well against the bucks.
4269  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reverse Bubble 2021 on: June 07, 2021, 10:35:30 PM
Honestly TA aside this has happened now with regularity in crypto.  I'm not saying the same cycle will happen but due to the largely crypto uneducated money that comes into crypto it feeds large spikes and falls due to greed and fear.  Evident by the mass amount of people that use exchanges as wallets.  I'd say until that is a thing of the past that we will have large greedy spikes and crazy fearful falls.
4270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: June 07, 2021, 10:27:15 PM
Logan Paul earned 20 million for this circus show and everyone who payed to watch this just wasted time, but story is not over because Logan Paul wants a rematch.
This needs to be separate sport and it should not be called boxing.  Tongue

Well at $20million wouldn't you want a rematch too? 😅

This was a terrible fight.  I hope floyd hangs up the gloves but with these kinds of payouts I think more and more fighters will sign up to these circus matches.  People paid 10s of thousands of dollars to watch this ringside.  Smh
4271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin should be afraid of tron on: June 07, 2021, 12:37:53 PM
Bitcoin utility cant compete with tron.
First I didnt not like the tron chain but now I realise that Only one who Can compete with tron are,

Xrp,  stellar ,  bnb.  Not Even btc not Even my favourite ETH.

The tron chain  trc20 is so Fast and so cheap to transfer and with so Good liqutity option that its the number one COIN now.

Yes we know btc are old and well known...
But Right now  the tron is leading tron is only Block chain who runs USDT how it need to be run.

Bitcoin Transactions still quite slow and quite expensive.

So Bitcoin utility and use Case its not just that Good.

Sure carry on carry on.  Every year these silly coins are going to "replace bitcoin" yet they never do.  And by saying it's the number one coin now.  Ha that's funny.  Either way thanks for the laugh but Tron is NOT the answer.
4272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Invest 1 BTC for 50k-Dollar, has somebody know about this offer? on: June 07, 2021, 12:34:43 PM
Lol that's 100% scam.  Anyone that "guarantees profit over X timeframe" is scamming.  Most of the time pyramid scheme.  How these scams keep working for people is beyond me.  There is NO investment that can guarantee that type of profit and stay in business, period.
4273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prayer and gambling. on: June 07, 2021, 12:29:19 PM
Often times in my country, i have visited a sports betting shop to place my bet, and each time before I am about to do so, i always look out to the other service booths where bettings are received for other other individuals placing their bets as well.

Each time, i notice that out of the five service booths in this sports betting shop, it is common to see two or sometimes three individuals out of the five occupying the service booths always bow their head and mutter some words solemnly, a prayer i suppose.

Big questions - Do spiritual beings get involved or influence gambling results in the favour of those who pray to them?

Have you ever prayed before placing a bet (gambling)?
Did it work?

If you believe it does work, examine this scenerio.
If we both worship and serve same god, and we place our bets on the same games, in a manner that our bets are opposites, and we both say a solemn prayer to this our god before casting our bets, Who will this god favour?

Lol I don't think that's how religion works buddy.

"Please god let me cover the 4.5 point spread for the Nets tonight and make sure the game hits the over at 230pts."  "Thank you god" 😂

Betting is complete luck plain and simple no higher powers involved.

I joined the forum at the beginning of January and thread has popped up twice since then. I have no idea what's going on, but it has made me laugh both times so far. Keep the dream alive! I think maybe this thread should be the NFT that accompanies the coin; that should make it worth millions.

He was a dude i admired, he bought a castle with btc, then seems he was a degenerate and a scammer, was fairly disappointing, also, he now dead.

Not to make light of his passing, but I suppose his estate may not have known what to think about this item and the coin is now likely lost or sold at some county auction for a few bucks. Irony?

oh this was the guy that passed,  sad then, yes thats Irony... seemed he liked to have some fun with that coin Smiley

Yeah classic, bought a castle was the epidemy of crypto fortune.

But the op is just being stubborn.  I'd still pony up 100 garlicoin for this coin.  That offer will stand for 48 hours from this post.  Due to the past posts I would require escrow if they were to take the deal.

All over Portland in this game.  Dame went nuts last game but I think he does the same here.  Probably the most exciting person to watch in the playoffs right now.
4276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the price of bitcoin is falling on: June 03, 2021, 11:59:56 PM
I am very sure this has been the area of concern for the past 7 days to everybody around the world who owns a fraction of bitcoin, as its value continues to fall day by day, leaving people in fear and panic as billions have gone to the drain with this sudden fall in BTC, which it's still falling and nobody knows when next it will turn bullish. Whereas, others have gone on to Twitter with a hashtag "Could this be the end of Bitcoin", putting many in fear, as some has quickly made its swap to USDT, while others cash out, as its value, reduces drastically, which is the main reason I made my research to know what would have been the cause of the sudden fall in the price of BTC, and I was able to come up with these following reasons below.

1.    China Bank Association

From my research, I was able to understand that the price of BTC fell by 29% on Wednesday after China Banking Association warned its banks of the risks associated with digital currencies and placed a ban on cryptocurrency, which this action resulted in a sharp fall in the price of  BTC and also the fall in other altcoins like etheruem, Litecoin, and Dogecoin e.t.c

2. Elon Musk

From my research, I was also made to understand that Elon Musk is also the reason for the sudden fall in the price of BTC, but if in case you don't understand why people are saying so, let me break it down for you. if you could remember, Elon Musk, who happens to be the richest man in the world, and also the CEO of Tesla (A company that produces electric cars) back then in February 2021 made an announcement to have invested $1.5 billion in Bitcoin, and that Tesla will start accepting bitcoin as payment for his electric cars, of which this action of his skyrocket the price of bitcoin back then in February to almost $63,000 per Bitcoin, and just recently, that same Elon musk have come up this May to say his company Tesla will stop accepting bitcoin as payment for its electric cars, reason been because of the volatility of its nature causing its price to rise and fall, of which this very action of his is the reason for the sudden fall in the price of bitcoin.

But, no matter what, whether Elon Musk accepts our bitcoin or not, for the fact that bitcoin has been in existence since 2009 till today, it will surely prevail.👍👍👍👍👍

So, whether Elon accepts bitcoin or not, there are still some big companies that accept bitcoin or planning to accept bitcoin. And here they are:

1.  Overstock.com accept bitcoin as payment for it's goods.
2. MasterCard has said it will soon start accepting bitcoin on its network, and
3. BNY Mellon, the oldest bank in the US said back then in Feb, that it will soon include bitcoin in the service it provides for its clients.

So, that means, our bitcoin must surely prevail, no matter the storms and thunder it faces today.

So, Thank you... thank you... and thank you so much for finding out time to read my research findings...

I remain your humbled junior member in this forum bitcointalk... God bless you all

You are over thinking it.  Bitcoin rises and falls sometimes because it is what it is.  When profit taking comes in there is a sell-off.  60k was a perceived top and people wanted to book some profits.  Same on the rise.  When it's perceived as undervalued it has a perpencity to rise.  So.etimes nothing more to it than that
4277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: June 03, 2021, 08:26:53 PM
Let's point out two things: age (25 vs. 43) and a superior weight (he's physically bigger) are the only two things that Logan has in favor of Mayweather.

https://pin.it/58lT31h That is how this fight is going to end.

If there are no judges and no official winner read, how they are going to tell who is the winner if they box for 8 rounds? Or they already have planned to end this fight by KO?

If it goes the full 8 then there will be no winner.  If the ref stops the fight then there will be a defined winner.  At least in the eyes of bookies that's how it is.  So KO or too is the only way to win.

Think based on this floyd will throw some extra juice up front on this fight, he won't want a no decision against this chump no way.
4278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Warning: Cardano can drops to 0.5$ and Ethereum to $800 on: June 03, 2021, 06:01:24 PM
Doubt that, many people valued ETH above 1000 dollar and anything below that will be easy buy for them and that's also not an exception for me. Remember although you may consider my statement bullshit but institutional investors actually prefer to invest in ETH because they see its promising future of decentralized apps. with Cardano i don't really know but ETH at this point is already reaching really large audience and even if you consider how much eth needed to execute smart contract it's very obvious that the demand will not lacking in the future, people who says nope today will say i regret in few years.

Ethereum is the king of altcoins, meaning that the demand for Ethereum must be very high. That way more and more people will buy Ethereum,
I also doubt Ethereum can go down again to the price of $ 800. That's why when Ethereum dropped below $ 2000 a few days ago, it can now
quickly recover by going up again to $ 2400. Cardano's performance is almost the same as Ethereum, which Cardano has also experienced
a very drastic price increase this year, I doubt Cardano will ever drop to $ 0.5 again. In conclusion, investing in Ethereum and Cardano is very profitable.

You obviously haven't been through many crypto corrections.  Saying X coin can't go to X price has almost always happened.  Those posts don't age well.  Go back years in the archives here on price predictions of what will "never" happen again, and almost every time has.  Ethereum going to $800 is not at all crazy and especially cardano.  Lower the amount of volume and price declines are rapid, especially for alts.
4279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Warning: Cardano can drops to 0.5$ and Ethereum to $800 on: June 03, 2021, 05:58:08 PM
We saw what happended in 2017 on the market dip. People say that now is different and now instutions involved and this bs.
We see the last dip 50% and its not even a bear market.

If we hit a bearmarket all the cryptos go down again.

Opinions?

Lol are you asking if we go into a bear market will crypto drop again?  That literally is the definition of a bear market.  It's like asking if bitcoin will go up in a Ball market 😅
4280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: June 03, 2021, 05:12:25 PM
@YuginKadoya, there's no such thing as an absurd line, you just choose which side you'll bet, that's it.

I believe that Floyd will easily win the fight, that 1.09 odds is easy money, bigger than the interest you'll earn by putting your money in the bank, my only worry is, what if Mayweather will intentionally lose this game?

1.09 is insanely good odds.  Paul won't even get a power punch on flyod all fight.  If professional boxers couldn't touch flyod how in the world do people think Paul would and even worse win.  I'd even take 1.01 odds.  $1 on $100 is better than nothing.  This is the most sure fight I've ever seen...
