I'm not sure (yet) about crwth's role in all this.

I'd say he's the one most likely to come out of this all right. And the one who responded best, offering to provide the necessary information

... their breakdown with the funds that were gotten for activities. I have mine and just need to input it into the final spreadsheet.

and giving a date, as I said before.

Incidentally, I looked at their profiles and bl4nkcode hasn't posted anything these days when he usually posts quite a bit. This is total speculation on my part, but it could be that if he thinks he is going to be red tagged maybe he doesn't think it's worth it to keep posting. Obviously, this could be just a coincidence.
4262  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Roobet scams FORCED TO GAMBLE on: December 17, 2021, 08:42:30 AM
That sure would be one way to combat people who use it as a money laundering platform.

?

Can you expand on this?

I see a lot of people saying it's normal. If it's their TOS, fine, they're not doing anything illegal but I find it morally questionable

I play poker (on fiat sites) and I never have wagering requirements for depositing my money. There are when I get a bonus. To release the bonus there are wagering requirements. I don't see how depositing money in a casino and withdrawing it all tomorrow if I want can be used to launder money.

4263  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything you wanted to know about ES Volcano Bond and were afraid to ask! on: December 17, 2021, 07:19:46 AM
Hey fillippone, we're on a forum, it's not about writing books here, lol.

I see this as quite positive, and even if from an objective analysis it is supposedly a disaster, I am sure it will sell, just like GBTC or MSTR shares are sold which are objectively worse investment options than investing in Bitcoin directly. Even Bitcoin is sold by Paypal and systems that come to be more of a derivative product than Bitcoin itself that you can withdraw.

What has come to my mind is what would happen in 4 years if Bukele loses the elections. We will have to see how this evolves and I guess it will be crucial that the price of Bitcoin is significantly higher then for him to renew in power.

4264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish card games on: December 17, 2021, 07:05:38 AM
Hi guys. I remember that I used to play some typical Spanish card games, played with the Spanish set of cards, such as "Brisca", "Tute" and what is possibly the biggest contribution ever made to fun by Spain: el "Mus". Most of these games are not as much bet oriented as Poker and perhaps they are too simple to create a culture around them as Texas Hold'em has generated, but "Mus" is really fun to play and it links quite well with betting. Does anyone if there is any casino out there in which I can gamble at mus with bitcoin?

I guess you tried it before opening the thread, but googling it doesn't bring up anything. If I search only for "mus" some results appear but I guess that if you want it with Bitcoin it will be difficult as it is a local game. I think it is unlikely for a bitcoin site to offer the game as it will be difficult to make profits out of it.

4265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lies in the world on: December 17, 2021, 07:00:37 AM
Well, I find what Binance does morally questionable, although it is true that strictly speaking they are not lying.

OP, is there no fine print in the message warning of possible losses?

The truth is they paint it very pretty but if I had to send an email to counter I would say margin trading is the best way to lose a lot of money very fast, description that is quite a departure from how they paint it.
4266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I had bought bitcoin 10 years ago, I would have been a millionaire: Not true on: December 17, 2021, 06:55:10 AM
We already know that.
Back in the early days of Bitcoin, nobody would have expected that the Bitcoin price will hit 68K USD.
Nobody would buy BTC back in 2011 or 2012 with the idea of HODLing BTC until the price increases 10x or 50x.The BTC market had little to no liquidity and Bitcoin was viewed as a currency, rather than asset.

You are right.

The only thing I would like to know is if there is anyone around the forum who bought on those dates and sold as the price went up but without selling everything. I don't recall seeing anyone saying this.

That would be the smartest option in my opinion. I mean someone who bought a good amount, not people who do DCA and rebalance, there are a few of those in the WO thread.

Hey guys, better if we don't get into personal comments here.

I understand that in reputation threads it is easier to end up getting into personal comments than if you are discussing, for example, the price of Bitcoin. It happened to me recently.

Let's leave this thread to see if the three people involved give sufficient explanations and if not everyone can take whatever action they see fit.
4268  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 16, 2021, 10:16:59 AM
Are we even sure there will be anymore responses from them in this thread? Been a few days and there has been plenty of time to present evidence of activities, proofs of funds and where they went, or anything else relevant.

According to crwth:

As for some updates with charity, I have some remaining funds for the last remaining activity that I have reserved for the holidays. It will be on December 19. I'll update the charity thread by then.

I do hope everything clears out by then.

I am going to give him until December 20 to see what he says. And since I'm going to give him until that date, I'm going to wait until the same day to see if bL4nkcode gives reasonable explanations. Being the escrow, I think he has more to explain than crwth.

I've already tagged cabalism13 (second after The Pharmacist three days ago).
4269  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on sale, will the support continues to hold? on: December 16, 2021, 07:07:21 AM
We already did surpass the 50k level again. So anything can happen in this market.
One good news, and we may see the btc price rising up again.
But of course, you need to be conservative with your estimates here.

The fact is that we are entering uncharted territory. Until now the vast majority of models had assumed a repetition of price behavior in cycles during Bitcoin's short history. This cycle already seems quite clear that it does not repeat similar behavior to the previous two.  We will have to see what happens in 2022 to pose further analysis, but I, after what I have seen this year, give little credibility to the predictions I see.

4270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CAN YOU EARN IN THIS FORUM? on: December 16, 2021, 06:56:33 AM
Of course there is money to be made on the forum. I, apart from the answers you have been given, would only add that you should not be in a hurry. Take your time to acquire knowledge and get to know the forum, post regularly, and above all, don't be in a hurry, don't cheat. If you end up plagiarizing or scamming or buying an account out of a desire to make money on the forum quickly , you will end up in a bad way.

4271  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 16, 2021, 06:51:59 AM
Escrow should have prevented this from happening instead of sharing in the money.

Yes, of course. The fact that the other two have responded when asked for explanations with a more correct tone does not imply that they have done everything right. And there is another thing:

NOW ACCEPTING
USDT/XRP/ETH/BNB
JUST SEND US A MESSAGE!

We will have to see what explanations are given for this in particular.
4272  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 16, 2021, 04:21:54 AM
And his/their reputation(s) weren't ruined in a matter of days, though it may seem that way.  They were in the process of being ruined whenever the first bit of money was spent on non-charity things or sent to Binance to gamble or split up between the three members in question.  I'm sure they were hoping it would go unnoticed if they stayed quiet, because they knew a thread like this would be the result, as well as an indelible black mark smeared on their reputations.  Well, that goes for cabalism13 for now; I'll await the story from the other two.

In this regard I just want to say that I think I liked the tone and the way the other two members responded better than the way cabalism13 did.

It is a matter that smells bad and I think that if it were not for the previous good reputation that the three of them had, they would have been negative tagged much earlier, in view of the facts exposed in this thread.

I hope the other two members will give us satisfactory explanations.

4273  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed for 230$ on buying the account on: December 15, 2021, 05:51:34 PM
This is an example from where account traders should get a lesson. By the way, I am wondering why do you need to buy an account? You are already a member of this forum. Why its necessary to buy an account? Signature campaign? It's quite impossible to join a good payment campaign with a good manager with a sold account. Only spammers try to buy accounts. Eventually, the account would be worthless even you succeed to make us fool.

That's the point.

The most likely scenario is that he wanted to make it profitable with a shitty bounty campaign or shitty Bitcoin paid campaigns like the 1Xbit one. A good forum member, who is a decent poster, no need to be exceptional, can make a good extra income with signature campaigns without the need to buy accounts.

Sorry OP, no one is going to feel sorry for you for being scammed when buying an account.
4274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 90% is already there, only 10% is left on: December 15, 2021, 12:49:10 PM
Is it a coincidence that satoshi's last post on forum was on December 13, 2011? Lol. Just saying.
I'm not a good speculator, I have sold my bitcoin very early. I think we may see some good pump this year or in January but after that a bearish trend is going to take over and until next halving, no more ATH.

Let me tell you that you are not a good investor either. You have sold the most profitable long-term asset since its inception, which has unique characteristics to safely store and transfer wealth. But hey, everyone does with his money what he wants.

Regarding the mining, I agree with previous comments, that the fact that 90% has been mined is not going to have an effect in the short term. What is clear is that Bitcoin is a scarce commodity, that less and less new bitcoins will be produced and that the best thing to do is to continue to accumulate.

4275  Economy / Speculation / Re: I know you have all been waiting in anticipation of on update.... on: December 15, 2021, 07:01:19 AM
BTC *will* retest ~1150 -

Bullshit.

I don't know how people dare to talk about predictions so vehemently, like lecturing us, as those of us who have been investing for many years know that predictions based on charts and patterns fail constantly.

I was going to ask you how much you want to bet, but of course, the bet has to have a time limit, and then you pull this out of your sleeve:

timeframe is totally unpredictable because it depends on what unfolds in Florida, COPA, Wright vs Bitcoin devs, what happens with Tether and what the SEC decides about whether a coin that has a raise on promise of profit and is pre-mined constitutes a security. ETH clearly, air dropped Bitcoin... maybe.

You don't tell us anything we don't already know.

4277  Economy / Economics / Re: This what poor people need on: December 15, 2021, 06:50:33 AM
What poor people don't need is the advice of a troll who keeps opening threads giving useless advice as if he were a professor lecturing his students.

The best thing that can happen to poor people is that they live in a largely free economy society. This is not a simple thought or theory. What has lifted billions of people out of poverty is precisely that. Where a few decades ago people were starving to death today there are fat people.
4278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fed To decide the future of assets purchasing 14th December on: December 15, 2021, 06:44:58 AM
That's a problem traders have. This kind of short-term news can drive the price up or down. And in this case you know in advance that there is an event that is going to affect the price but sometimes unexpected events occur that affect it as well.

That's why I prefer to invest for the long term, doing DCA and that kind of news doesn't affect me.

4279  Economy / Services / Re: [open] Restart of 1xBit signature campaign - new signatures and more spots! on: December 15, 2021, 04:53:01 AM
Such a sad state of affairs.... the lure of earning anything from  $20 - $100 per week to promote the 1xbit scammers is enough for some to jump on the signature campaign bandwagon.

$100 per week is not bad at all. It is in line with the second best paying signature campaign, which would be the Best Change one. Now there are two more at those levels. This one pays that money for advertising a known scam site and then there is Stake.com, which with its posting requirements does not exactly encourage quality posts.

With $100 a week there are families in the third world who eat, and if you live in the first world and have a stable job, it is a good extra source of income. I guess that's why a lot of people end up advertising the site. If they paid a lot less, there would be a lot less people willing to destroy their reputation on the forum to advertise for them.

If what you say is true, you are within your rights to ask Ratimov to rectify, and I see that you have done so reasonably.

Now, this issue, which is one of reputation, I don't know why you are so concerned about it and don't care about selling yourself cheap to give publicity to a known scam site.

If I had seen you on the forum, I wouldn't even remember that according to Ratimov you are one of RainbowKun's alleged alts. What I do see right away is the shitty house you advertise in your signature, well known for being a scam site. Just as I see your negative trust for it.
