You are safe with Bitcoin generally, and you are super safe with Monero. No one is going to go to the lenghts of trying to backtrace Monero transactions unless you are what, fucking bin laden or something.
4262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guy wins 15 BTC while gambling Live on: December 14, 2014, 05:50:52 PM
He was gambling 0.001

What are the chances that he could make 15 out of that?
4263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guy wins 15 BTC while gambling Live on: December 14, 2014, 05:44:23 PM
FUck I wish I could experience it. Unfortunately I dont have enough BTC to risk like it's nothing.
4264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcion holiday gift ideas on: December 14, 2014, 05:39:57 PM
Unfortunately I dont have enough BTC to be chariteable about it, would rather just buy it with fiat.
You could just send them BTC thats all, so they learn how to use it.
4265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins ''big future'' laughable when you think shatoshi nakamoto on: December 14, 2014, 03:32:09 PM
Dude you seem to not get it. Not knowing the authory of the thing would be a problem if the program was closed source. But it's open source, everyone can see the code, and the blockchain is transparent to both. There's nothing to fear there.
4266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 20 years later bitcoin and goverments on: December 14, 2014, 02:41:14 PM
They can't "shut it down". They would have to:

1) Raid every single person using Bitcoin (imposible)
2) Shut down the entire internet (stupid idea)

So yeah, they can't stop it same as they can't stop people sharing p2p and they've been trying for decades now.
4267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Open Letter To The Digital Currency Community on: December 03, 2014, 12:13:23 AM
Im still holding my DigiBytes.
The first thing we as in crypto community in general need, is works being paid with cryptos. It's the only way to start a real economy. Needing to exchange fiat for cryptos for every buy you do is very annoying.
4268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARE dogebetz SCAM OR NO on: December 03, 2014, 12:11:34 AM
I was going to bet, but judging by the reply above, i will not..
4269  Economy / Speculation / Re: OVER $18 MILLION DOLLARS OUT OF WALLETS IN ONE MONTH!!! on: December 03, 2014, 12:09:53 AM
OP, you fool. Bitcoin is very much like the iphone, and is introducing the world to cryptocurrencies, like the iPhone introduced the world to smart phones.

At first critics scoffed, but then everyone wanted one. We now have an incredible opportunity to buy bitcoin before the rest of the world realizes how awesome it is. Within one year, a bitcoin will be worth $10,000. That's a riiiising guarantee.

I realized this when I bought my TV on newegg and the transaction only took 20 seconds. All I had to do was send my payment to their custom QR code, after entering my name and address. With a credit card, it would have taken at least 30 seconds.
How much did it take for you to exchange your fiat into BTC tho? you are omiting that part.
4270  Economy / Economics / Re: Distribution of bitcoin wealth by owner on: December 03, 2014, 12:01:51 AM
You think bitcoin distribution is unfair?

LMAO. Only delusional ignorant idiots would question the fairness of bitcoin after realizing the top 1% own more than half the entire fucking currency pool on the planet. Here you go idiots:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/laurashin/2014/01/23/the-85-richest-people-in-the-world-have-as-much-wealth-as-the-3-5-billion-poorest/

I agree... Bitcoin's distribution is by no means unfair.
Especially, when you look at inequality in the real world.

What are you guys taking about?

Bitcoin wealth ownership is 10 times as centralized as paper fiat - .1% control nearly 50% of all Bitcoins with one single guy controlling nearly 10%. lol.

The only thing Bitcoin is missing is a centralized board [like the Fed reserve board] to control the protocol which I think is forthcoming.

It's fucking silly. If big Bitcoin holders cared about the outcome of BTC they should be doing giveaways for the community instead of sitting their pig fat asses on mountains of BTC as it keeps crashing.
4271  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: December 02, 2014, 11:58:59 PM
If you ever go into a bad situation that you cant yourself solve you'll understand why paying taxes is good.
4272  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is Value of 1 BTC in end of Year ? on: December 02, 2014, 03:10:04 PM
uhm....i think between 400 and 450$. I doubt that it will reach something more...

I think between $350 and $550.  Christmas might trigger a pump or a dump.
This seems accurate to me.

4274  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much do you spend for the game? on: December 02, 2014, 03:07:27 PM
The idea of paying to win at videogames is the dumbest concept i've heard of all times.
4275  Economy / Economics / Re: Econmic Inequality on: December 02, 2014, 03:06:01 PM
...
yeh, i know this is "the belief". the reason why i was asking for an explanation is, that i somehow dont really agree with that belief.
i think its just a "theory" that justifies the use of inflationary currency

It's common sense.  To see if you agree, try it yourself:

1. You have 378 worthless paper dollars.  You can spend them today on a shiny new Bitcoin,* or wait until next year, when you could buy 1/2 of a Bitcoin with your 378 worthless paper dollars because inflation.
What would you do?

2. You have one shiny new Bitcoin, and, for reasons known only to statist pigs and other Keynesian, you wish to invest it in USD.  You can buy 378 dollars with it today, or wait until next year, when you could buy 756, because dollar inflation.
What would you do?

*This is a perfect, hypothetical Bitcoin, it's buying power will never go down.

Yeah, dollar is so worthless that it gets accepted world wide and you can buy anything with it. If you bought a Bitcoin last year for nearly 1K, you would have lost 40% of it's buying power now.
Get some perspective.
4276  Economy / Economics / Re: What would you do if the US Dollar crashed ? on: December 02, 2014, 03:00:17 PM
Retire with my 1 BTC wallet.  Tongue
4277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mozilla accepting Bitcoin on: December 02, 2014, 02:58:16 PM
What we need is a big "donate bitcoin" button on the firefox frontpage so people wonder "what is this" and learn about it.
4278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are still the very, very early adopters on: December 02, 2014, 02:57:12 PM
If you are rich already thanks to BTC you are a very very early
If you are not, you have to drop a couple verys.
4279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin FATALLY FLAWED? on: December 02, 2014, 02:55:13 PM
Anyone that ever though "bitcoin would defeat the dollar" or something along the lines is a complete moron. The point of bitcoin is having an alternative to store value, that's all.

And coins are divisible by a ton of units for fuck sakes, how is it that hard to understand. It's not "21 million".
4280  Other / Off-topic / Re: FREE Hugs on: November 22, 2014, 08:45:59 PM
Given the current situation with bitcoin, i need zyzz to hug me and tell me "we all gonna make it" (no homo tho)

Zyzz made his way to the grave.

Do you really wanna follow him and get a hug?

1 year as prime Zyzz > the entire life of the average male
