Does it actually work though?

How many WTC do I need to hold to participate?

You get BCH drop proportionnal to your WCT holding. There are no minimal amount
Bitcoin Cash has nothing to do with WCT? Am I missing something?
4263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin reaches a record level, surpassing $ 6,000 on: November 05, 2017, 01:38:18 AM
You can see the Bitcoin price now, it has reached a new level, $6255. There is no doubt about the development of Bitcoin. Hodling them never make you sad!  Cheesy
It might reach $7000 in this week as I am hoping, but still so far some people want it to dump the price. Let see how many days it reuire to reach $7k from here onwards.
May be bitcoin acquire $7k in the mid of November but I don’t think that $6,000 is the record point. I just consider it the begging for bitcoin journey. It think It will grow up so more at the end of this year i.e. 2017 and hopefully at the end of quarter 2018 it will touch the figure $10k.

I appreciate the currency price also because among the hurdles bitcoin has get the price. No doubt that the future of bitcoin is bright and people will concentrate on bitcoin business so much in near future.
Its amazing to hear such a news. It is showing that people are over whelmed to get such a technology which is on one side helping them to earn more money and on other side it is helping them to save time. In future bitcoin is about to do a great boast because people want comfort and are in search of good and easy ways of earning money and bitcoin is no doubt providing them a good chance to secure their future.
I'm pretty sure most people right now are only here for the money, not the technology. The vast majority of new people on this forum doesn't even understand what Bitcoin is or why it was created...
4264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves hold for longterm Good or Not? on: November 05, 2017, 01:36:30 AM
waves is obviously the best buy on the market. just buy more
There is obviously no such thing as a best buy in speculative markets.
4265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My strategy for the next hardfork SEGWIT2X on: November 05, 2017, 01:36:02 AM
I would buy more bitcoins...bitcoin will continue to rise because most of holders are hodlers. Plus, you will get ur segwit 2x. Token dumping might be a good idea but keep those whose devs have long term plans for their tokens..
Somecurrency analist also suggest people to sell their gold for bitcoins because they strongly believe that bitcoin is far more profitable.

That is really silly of them. Gold isn't a way to "profit", gold should be a method to preserve wealth against fiat money inflation. There is also a limited quantity of Bitcoin (as there is with gold), but being a digital currency which have been subject to sever fluctutations it is much more speculative than gold.... two completely different matters.
Gold isn't really limited though. Gold is constantly being mined, and it can also be produced in the lab. And while producing gold is too expensive to be worth it right now, we might very well end up with a scientific breakthrough that could change this.

That's actually a good point against gold vs bitcoin hah.. but overall there's no comparison about which one of the two is the best storage of wealth as only one of them has been around for thousands of years and is easy to carry and exchange. Let alone bitcoin fees which are prohibitive!
Bitcoin fees are tiny compared to Gold transaction fees. Or do you not value your time or effort of physically moving gold around?

Gold is definitely the safer option when it comes to storing wealth though, at least for now.

Bitcoin fees are smaller than gold's if we are talking about selling ingots and nuggets and gold coins. Not much of a waste of space and time though as due to the high price per gram big portions of wealth can be stored in a standard business suitcase.
I agree with gold being the safer option. Actually I think it's the safest of all, including land, real estate, stock market and obviously fiat which has always been a big loser in that regard thanks to fractional reserve.

If you have to physically move your gold it'll be more expensive than transacting Bitcoin. And if you're buying gold at some place that stores it for you, you're kind of wasting the biggest purpose of owning gold in the first place.
4266  Economy / Economics / Re: Why economists say Bitcoin a bubble on: November 05, 2017, 01:34:44 AM
Nobody can say for sure, for now you should have a war chest and invest using common sense. At least for this transition period
For sure bitcoin is not the bubble and they haters and the rumors are spreading the news like this so it is not good to listen to them and acting upon what they are putting in our mind I hope in the future all the investors will buy the bitcoin and they will prove that the best ever currency is the bitcoin and the price will also go high and the bitcoins has the large potential for the jobless people as well
"For sure not a bubble" is just as naive a statement as "for sure a bubble". Fact is, nobody knows what is going to happen.
4267  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think bitcoin gold value will rise to bitcoin value on: November 05, 2017, 01:32:25 AM
Do you think bitcoin gold value will rise to bitcoin value

maybe the price will be the same as bitcoincash (bch) but I do not know for sure because bitcoingold could be priced equal to the current bitcoin price, all can happen in this world of digital currency.
We cannot say yet can we ? BCH is still really thriving and has still been trying to stay relevant in the market for a while. Thanks to the rich dudes who forked it.
At least they have all the resources to make it stay afloat. I cannot say the same for Bitcoin gold at least for now, and moreover, bitcoin gold just sounds to me like a coin with nothing really worth the show.
Just because it has a large volume doesn't mean it's thriving. It's very easy to manipulate data after all.
4268  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: November 05, 2017, 01:31:01 AM

I don't think so. Yes it's good thing that cryptocurrency was develop, but it was not made to replace paper fiat or cash, instead it was develop to reinforce currency as we know it and to introduce alternative ways. Besides, not all people can readily accepts a society without cash. I also believe that it will create more problems than solutions if we totally extinct cash.

Bitcoin was specifically created to replace fiat money due to the corruption that centralization promotes.

No way. How can corruption can be stopped with a currency like decentralised bitcoin. I mean if we can't control the corruption with centralised currency which can be tracked all the time then how can we do the same with bitcoin which can't be tracked if moved around crazy.

It was not made to replace the fiat at all and there were no plans like this in the first place. All the algorithm and stuff was made out of curiosity to change the way we do transactions and keep it anonymous. That is all the bitcoin is about and it will be like that always.

The first instance of corruption is introduced at the level at which fiat currency is created. Bitcoin cuts the snake's head off instead of the tip of its tail.

No, Bitcoin is created to have an smooth transactions without the need of any banks or companies to transfer money from one place to another and it makes transactions anonymous. For example, Signature campaign managers hold big amount of bitcoin like 2 BTC or 3 BTC for campaigns and distribute that at the end of the campaign but these whole transactions are  hidden from government. So,  i think it will boost corruption rather than stopping if proper rules are not formed.
You are wrong. Please research why Bitcoin was created yourself. It was not so a regulator could come and step in to control the flow of money, because that's what created most of the economic collapses in modern history.

4270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: November 05, 2017, 01:08:21 AM
Devs need to be convinced to Add RSK(Smartcontracts) and lightining network(Unsure of Segwit) functionality to the dogecoin blockchain(just like BTC and LTC are doing atm). I believe then DOGE will skyrocket both in Usage and in price.

Question is how many developers are currently involved to make it happen in a reasonable time frame? DOGE needs more active development

at the moment, no dev, they have all canceled their participation to DOGE. You can also find a youtube video with the creator of DOGE saying that he will never continue dev DOGE. make a search on youtube
That would be ok if someone took over, but nobody seems to want to do it, so Doge is just a meme unfortunately. I quite liked the coin, but it doesn't really offer anything anymore in face of all the competition.

Iīm very excited right now and donīt want wait anymore longer. I want to see immediately what will happen Smiley But Iīm sure Waves will show us a hell of a ride in the next months.
I'm sure that's how everyone around here feels. But wouldn't that take away from the ride? Tongue If you could just immediately see what happens all the time things would get boring very fast... probably.
4272  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What to do with 1 Bitcoin? on: November 05, 2017, 01:06:23 AM
Say I have one bitcoin today. What should I do with it? Should I get four S9 antminers or three L3+ antminers or combination of them.

Are are some smart options to grow this one bitcoin?
- buy equipment & mine (i have cheap electricity)
- buy equipment and have Hashnet host them
- hodl
- invest in LTC instead of BTC

What would you do?

If I had one bitcoin I would probably just keep it unless you can find a solution to kind of always get really cheap electricity and very good cooling in a place that is secure. What do you think?
Just keep or invest. One Bitcoin is not enough to buy any significant amount of mining hardware.
4273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | unofficial supporters topic on: November 05, 2017, 12:38:20 AM
I donīt think there was a airdrop of waves. I think it was a Initial Coin Offering / ICO at the beginning of this coin. And they rised a ver huge amount of money there. And at this time the bitcoin price was very low.

Waves is big project that's why can raised very huge amount of money and now time bitcoin price very high and waves coin price is down, i hope waves coin price can recover above $5 after bitcoin hardfork finished
Will be going higher once the DEX comes out (assuming it's actually good).

After the release of the new DEX the price will double at his peak and will stay stable around 5,50$ - 6,00$. But thatīs only my prediction, maybe iīm wrong and we will go for 10$ Smiley
Sounds reasonable, let's see what happens!

4275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: November 05, 2017, 12:33:06 AM

I'm 100% with you on this one and I've been just as upset when I heard the announcement. But I'm still willing to wait and see if they are going to address this anytime soon. Kris already stated that they are looking for a replacement of the asset contract that doesn't conflict with laws. Doesn't make it any better than they even tried to get rid off it without offering even an "ongoing attempt" at a replacement in the first place though....

The solution is very simple, and Kris knows it, instead of putting the 1% in the asset contract, just buy MCO tokens with them and burn them, that reduces supply and puts exactly the save added value to each token. It's a simple solution that doesn't make it a security at all, and is employed by many ICOs. The decision to scrap the asset contract was simply to increase the profits of Monaco company itself without considering MCO holders. It is not a coincidence that they announced the scrapping of the asset contract exactly at the same time as the VISA deal, hoping it will just fly under the radar.

But that's the danger of investing in an ICO, they are not legally obliged to offer any value to MCO holders. the token can go to 1 cent and the Monaco can still be successful and bring a lot of money to the devs, but nothing to the token holders, that applies to any ICO.
The amount of tokens is not high and they need them for global expansion, imagine hundred thousands custumers will lock each 50 mco up in certain time period, circulating amount will deeply fall down and the mco price will launch so high that becomes unattractive for next folks standing in line waiting to order their cards. This is one of the marketing problems. The mco price has to be not too expensive, not too many people now are ready to freeze thousand $$$ for 6 months even for the best world cryptocard. Otherwise they need to correct mco lockup amount with the current exchange price to make it stable. But Mco team must find the way to reward mco token holders.if asset contract is not possible may be some bonuses, privelleges Im sure they'll find the way to make us happy  Wink

We don't need any special bonuses. If Monaco will succeed MCO value will reflect that success. Period. Kris choice to burn contract asset thing was the best thing it could do to assure Monaco legality all over the world.
No it wasn't. It was either a lazy or a shady move, one of the both. There's always a workaround as can be seen with other crypto card projects that distribute fees to investors like promised. The fact that they have started backpedaling on this already shows that there are options even for them. They just didn't want to work for it because it meant billions of extra profits for the company.
4276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: █【ANN】【ICO】█【PRE-SALE】 🌟 【SOLD OUT】 ██ 🌟 BLOCKLANCER ██ JOIN GIG ECONOMY BOOM on: November 05, 2017, 12:23:31 AM
Hi,
Thanks for the question.
On the Blocklancer platform freelancer are paid in Ether. We also plan to accept Tether(USDT) to reduce the risk of price fluctuations of Ether.
Everything else would be just too big of a hassle for everyone involved. Many people already own Ether why should we use something else?

The biggest advantage of the Lancer Token is that the Token Holder receive 100% of the fees. On top of that the Token Holder are allowed to vote on disputes.

Best regards,
The Blocklancer Team
Have you heard anything about the US regulations that end up treating "profit sharing schemes" as "securities" and thus deeming them illegal, making them unlistable on some of the larger exchanges (in the US)?

And does this concern Blocklancer in any way or would the platform simply operate under a legislature where this problem does not occur in the first place?

Hi!

As the Blocklancer account mentioned, they are already talking to lawyers so everything is perfectly legal. And it's right that a token is considered a security when it distributes profit to token holders, but in the case of Blocklancer it is a legal way of distributing profit. How does this happen? Well, a token stops being a security when the holder accomplishes a task for the platform. In the case of Blocklancer the token holders vote to solve disputes. This makes it a legal way of distributing the profit to LNC holders.
Very interesting workaround. Thanks for both responses by the way. You guys keep reinforcing my trust in Blocklancer, seeing how you've apparently had thought through every question before I even asked it so far, which is something very few projects are capable of in this market.
4277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves hold for longterm Good or Not? on: November 04, 2017, 01:18:23 AM
hello dear fellow investors,
I have a newbie but a practical question and hope someone can answer me this:
Ive bought WAVES on BITTREX. I have installed that waves lite app for chrome. How can I transfer waves from bittrex to that app/wallet? When I go to DEPOSIT on WAVES in that app it says that I can only buy waves with euro/usd and no deposit wallet address just to send waves? Isnt that funny or am I doing something wrong?
You have an address, that you can see at the top of your wallet. When you click it a popup will appear in the top right corner saying: "Notice! Address copied successfully". Send your Waves there from Bittrex.
thank you kind sir! and what are the advantages of holding waves there? selling directly to eur/usd?

Lease them to a node to get airdrops and some extra Waves.
On top of leasing you can also use the decentralized exchange, which currently isn't useful though. Once the new one rolls out early next year that should change though.

Looks cool. I want to try this system out
The cards are definitely gorgeous, but we still need to wait and see what will be done about the removal of the asset contract. At least they are listening, but I still find it strange that they did not anticipate this reaction.

Yeah, don't connect the ends of a turd, roll it in powdered sugar and tell me you've got a treat for me. We finally got a visa announcement but it basically said we won't be getting the dividends that where promised. That was literally the reason I participated in the ICO. Now we get a higher percentage of cash back? Woop dee doo. I wanted passive income. Good thing I invested more in other things I felt would do better.

If not for the asset removal, this coin would hv reached a new ATH by nw
I don't know about new ATH, but it would've been close for sure.
