4261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Services of betting on your behalf on: March 09, 2021, 01:40:18 AM
As Oilacris mentioned, you might be referring to betting brokers.

But before you get into it, have you asked yourself why you need one in the first place? If you are betting moderate amounts and are doing it from a jurisdiction which is not restricted by your platform of choice, I don't think you really need a broker. Yes, brokers may offer you certain odds exclusively available to VIPs, but I don't think it's worth it if you are not really a heavy bettor. After all, certain fees will have to be charged on you.

Don't get into it simply because a friend has doubled his money. This a scammer's line. Instead, know all the pros and cons.

Agreed. I reckon that it is certainly very much safer to speculate on a pumping altcoin with a market capitalization of less than $100 million and more than tripling my money in this bull market than doubling my money with an untrustworthy betting broker.

Strange that no one mentioned here, that Conor McGregor has sold his stakes in Proper Twelwe and became even more rich Smiley

The skeptical me is thinking that it might not be good business as Conor makes it appear. Why sell your stakes on a good business? Business might not be good. I heard many negative reviews on his whiskey.

Also, strange that no one mentioned that Dan Hardy was fired from the UFC.
4263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where does Elon and Saylor store their bitcoins? on: March 09, 2021, 12:31:27 AM
Not knowing where they store their bitcoins is the first line of defense against people that are trying to get their hands on it. I mean where they store their bitcoins is none of our business in my opinion, and as @taufik123 said, it is personal and sensitive. You do not ask a man about his money unless he tells them so we better be off somewhere that doesn't need inquiry.

It is none of our business, however, what can they do to stop Chainanalysis or a Chinese blockchain analytics group from looking for them? They have been doing it on us without respect for our privacy.

I also have been telling everyone about exchanges’ disrespect on our privacy, however, many people here do not argue about it. I ask where Elon’s coins are stored and suddenly some people argue that we should respect his privacy hehehe. If Elon wanted privacy he should have bought Monero.
4264  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-02-12] Cramer Thinks Every Corporate Treasurer Should Be Thinking Bitcoin on: March 09, 2021, 12:05:39 AM

It is quite funny how personalities in the mainstream media can be so bullish when there is a bull run, but what will be their attitude once there can be a bearish period? I am a believer in Bitcoin but to say that all corporations or business should have Bitcoin is not a good advice especially coming from CNBC...that is hyping at best. Not all business can be good at handling cryptocurrency. And not all are prepared for the ups and downs of cryptocurrency. Anyway, this is always what we are getting from the media...they are coming to exploit something's popularity but is so ready to junk something when it is not yet or will not be anymore popular.

It is great advice for corporations if they are concerned about inflation from all the helicopter money that has been printed over the last 12 months.  It protects shareholder wealth to have some Bitcoin vs fiat.

Agreed. However, what I am afraid of is when mainstream media begins to be very bullish on bitcoin, it should be a time to begin to be cautious. Mainstream bullishness was an indicator that the bear might pounce on the market anytime hehehe.

Also this storyline. This will be the concern until December.

Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) could create a “positive momentum” if its sold its Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) holdings and initiated a buyback of its stock, according to Gary Black, a private investor and former CEO of Aegon Asset Management.

It appears Dana has more problems after UFC 259 hehehe.

Jon Jones will not fight, Khabib has retired, Conor McGregor was defeated, no one cares to watch Amanda Nunes and Israel Adesanya has also lost some of his reputation as the next goat. Dana will put all hope on Francis Ngannou on March 27 hehehehe.

Watch before the fight happens and see what makes this champion tick before placing your bets.
I can relate to the way Isreal carries himself into a fight and does not let things get in his way to achieve his goals.
Think of it as mamba mentality. Cool

I like Israel Adesanya and what he is doing for the sport MMA, however, how can he defeat Jan who is a fighter bringing 30 more pounds of weight over Adesanya? Dana is very much hyping his new pet hehehe. We should be realists because the fight might also be similar to Dustin Poirier vs Max Holloway.

that's what Jan meant when he said "I think he will take me seriously!"  30 more pounds isn't a safer opponent for anyone not even for the stylebender for a competitive MMA match. bigger fighters like Jan who is in the light heavyweight can easily recover after a slight groggy when hit by a high kick to the head. it's a dangerous weight class for Adesanya.

It appears that weight and size has been proven to be very advantageous even if the opponent has more skill in striking hehe. We might also begin to witness this storyline from fans that Israel Adesanya can beat Jon Jones will stop hehehe.

@DireWolfM14. That rumor might be very true. Belichick was preparing Jimmy to be his replacement for Tom Brady already before maybe an unplanned decision to extend Tom Brady with the Patriots? I do not know the story hehe.

I speculate Deshaun Watson will go to San Francsico as a replacement.
4268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where does Elon and Saylor store their bitcoins? on: March 08, 2021, 01:25:12 AM
new VIP of the bitcoin community
You mean the new VIPs of the social media. They make for excellent click-baits for news sites that are always dying to get traffic.

Quote
and follow the movement of their coins.
What kind of useful information would it give anyone to follow where the coins of someone else is going?!

You might consider them like a VIP, however, there are many people in the community who consider them to be the new heros of bitcoin.

Useful information would be if their coins are moving back to Coinbase. I reckon that would be very useful for traders. It might also be very useful for the IRS and the government hehehe.
4269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Where does Elon and Saylor store their bitcoins? on: March 06, 2021, 04:06:56 AM
After all the hype, does anyone have information on this? I reckon blockchain analytics should follow those coins of the new VIP of the bitcoin community and follow the movement of their coins.

@ qwertyup23. Hehehe I am shaking my head. You say that bitcoin has not failed as money, however, you also tell everyone to avoid spending bitcoin and convert them to cash for spending. This is certainly why bitcoin is failing as money.
4272  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-03 Analyst says Tesla made a Profit of US$1-Billion after Buying Bitcoin on: March 06, 2021, 02:05:30 AM
I shake my head. It is very arguable if Tesla made a profit of $1 billion after buying bitcoin because Tesla has not sold the bitcoin. What would it be on March of 2022? A loss of $1 billion? This is certainly only hype and larp hehe.

Unrealized profits get reflected in the balance sheet of the companies, so I don't think that there is anything wrong in mentioning it. Afterall, Tesla is a publicly listed company and therefore they need to inform the share holders about the assets that the company own from time to time. Don't know whether the prices will go down in March or not, but Tesla made an excellent move in January, and I am sure that when they actually book their profits, the amount will be much greater than $1 billion.

Agreed, there is nothing wrong in mentioning it, however, it should also be mentioned that it is only profit on paper. I speculate that you also have experienced losses in bitcoin? The writer of the article should not be very excited. The article is hyping a profit that has not been realized and clickbait.
4273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: March 05, 2021, 04:48:05 AM
@ South Park. Bringing in Alex Smith while looking for a longterm replacement might be a worse decision than letting Cam Newton continue. The Patriots also have an excuse for his low passing performance. Covid hehehe. He had it beginning of the season. You might be right.

@tromp. On funding, I reckon it might be much more efficient if it is centralized to a group of trusted people who are competent and honest than risk the funds only because a certain group of people in the community want their hands on some of the funds.

4276  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-02-26 Microstrategy’s Appetite for Bitcoin remains Unchanged on: March 05, 2021, 02:52:37 AM
and today they have announced that they bought another 328 Bitcoin.
They and Michael Saylor are very bullish on Bitcoin and will continue
to purchase Bitcoin at any price.

https://twitter.com/michael_saylor/status/1366375915559792640?s=19

Is another American company that he knows buying bitcoin? I speculate that he might know something and that he might be buying now before the something he knows begins making a move on the market and pumps the price hehehe.

possibly!

Dont forget the "Bitcoin for Corporations" online conference they hosted
He is banking on the interest generated from that.

The general vibe from him is that he will continue buying regardless of price.
He is looking Long term and this year is still the "earky adopters" phase.

The market is not affected positively by this news, however. It appears that Elon and Saylor’s hype has been diminshing and traders are not anymore willing to take more leverage to pump the market.

What might be concerning is if more leveraged traders dump to close their trades, how low should be the price before it affects Microstrategy and Tesla’s solvency? Also, their stock prices are 30% - 50% down since buying bitcoin.
4277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: March 04, 2021, 03:01:00 AM
I predict that the Patriots’ new quarterback will be

Jimmy Garoppolo hehehe.

He was groomed to be Tom Brady’s replacement already, however, he was traded to San Francisco. Will Bill Belichick finish what he has started with Garopollo?

4278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 04, 2021, 02:28:33 AM
@TopTort777. It is clickbait hehe. He might not be expecting the fans to take him seriously even if he appears to be serious. Paulo Costa certainly knows how to be in the news. He should be an adviser for marketing of an ICO project hehehe.

Then a lot of people took this at face value. Internet is already full of memes (like Costa being a sommelier) and Adesanya trolling him on the instagram  Grin

It is sad that in UFC is not like in boxing, if you win your opponent, you get all his belts. Blachowicz will just defend his title, but Adesanya might get two belts. Izzy is in more profitable situation.

Israel Adesanya and Jan Blachowicz belong to different weight divisions. This is also similar in boxing. A boxer cannot win the belt of the other boxer from a different weight division, howver, he can unify the other belts from the different boxing organizations within the same weight division.
4279  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has Elon Musk's twit caused the Bitcoin bubble burst? on: March 04, 2021, 01:46:13 AM
I believe that Elon Musk tweets have influenced the rise in asset prices on crypto exchanges, but I don't think it's a bubble. An increase in the price of an asset is dominated by demand and supply. when market demand increases, the price will increase. So, when Elonmusk talks about bitcoin or doge, their fans will buy-in, and investors will also take advantage of the trend to make a profit.

Pump & dump
Elon is using Doge as an accelerator.

Buy Doge stealthy then promote it and make instant 800% over it.
Inject into Bitcoin and wait for that to go 400%.

So 1M becomes 8M becomes 64M... that’s how you make huge profits...

Elon Musk has turned himself from bitcoin hero to someone similar to John McAfee in less than 1 month hehehe.

However, is he doing this to pump and dump or is he doing this as a distraction? Tesla was summoned by Chinese regulators on the day the news about Tesla’s bitcoin purchase was announced. I speculate that it was not a coincidence.
4280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: March 04, 2021, 01:12:46 AM

what kinda state of mind accusing people with ''pump and dump'' get rich etc, who talks about rapid depreciation of currency faster than its inflation?  What will happen if those people who buys or holds Grin, decrease gradually* as it happens present time* faster than inflation?

Blaming people constantly becuz they bought and hold grin is nonsense. And i read the whitepaper'' Grin core team'' isnt interested in price but  for making the necessary technical improvements for creating demand in the market.

it is ridiculous to talk about inflation ,yearly reward is only 11 million usd in this crypto atmosphere. Better we Dont cover up bad governance with inflation excuses.

*not blaming or targeting a person.Governance is a community issue.

We are talking about balance of value and emission and how to find this in the first stages after release of a proof of work cryptocoin project. The price of the coin should be sustainable from the beginning in this age of the cryptospace where the community is more aware and knowledgeable. This is not a similar time to the beginning of bitcoin where the project can be low hashrate, insecure from 51% attacks and be alright.
