4261  Economy / Economics / Re: Just because prices are high, doesn't mean that is a good investment. on: October 09, 2021, 02:50:27 AM
That won't apply to investing because assets appreciate overtime but at the same time, people are still investing in those so-called expensive investments, they're bound to grow, that's why you need to get in as early as possible.
Exactly, you either arrive early or late in investing so you got to do what you got to do in the time that you've invested you're money in, it's our fault after all that we've invested in something too late and now we risk loss because people at that point are going to sell to take some profit.

That is, indeed, why people are interested in it. However, due to the expensive price, I believe it will be quite difficult to purchase one as an investment, but if you are truly interested, it will be excellent for retirement. I'm not saying it's too late or anything, but the price isn't as low as it once was. Those who purchased it at least four years ago were fortunate because the price was significantly lower than it is today.
4262  Economy / Economics / Re: Is budgeting still effective in tackling the need to constantly withdraw money? on: October 08, 2021, 12:39:37 PM
I still work on a budget, and try to restrict myself from withdrawing and spending for unnecessary things in my life. It’s hard at first, but it’s worth trying especially if you’re just living alone like me. Though things will change once you have a family that you’re raising. Budgeting will then, be hard and there will surely be times when you need to swipe and withdraw some cash. You can’t really say no to that, as that’s the needs of your family. Hence why the family dynamics nowadays is different compared to the last few decades, as both parents need to work in order to serve some food on the plate.

Agree since the price of food right now are doubled so we need to work also twice. I would really say that when time that i still dont have children , the money is really there , i only spend it for food and also for my parents since i was working on that time , i do have saving on that time but when i got married most of the saving are gone since you really need to get it to use it for the living. But still family is the best thing that ive ever happened to me although we have only enough money to buy the basic needs but still we will strive to save just to get our wants
4263  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the role of fiat currency disappear against crypto. on: October 08, 2021, 11:54:08 AM
I'm not sure why, but the first thing that came to mind when I read your title was an old system or old computer, because "we shouldn't change it because it's still working." It's similar to how, when it comes to government websites that are several years old, most of their supervisors will say, "Why are we going to change the system when it's still working?" It also applies here, because why change our fiat if it is still working? It is efficient and effective. We can't easily adopt in new ones because not everyone is aware of this.
4264  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Losses in trading are nothing but Business expenses on: October 08, 2021, 06:51:34 AM
I don't get how it's a business expenses though, it's much closer to freelancer in my opinion because you don't have any kind of stuff to be considered a business in trading, unless you're a trader for a company then it's probably a business expenses but you're not to take lightly losses especially when you're working for other people or it's a company.

You have a point because, as a freelancer, you should have skills and knowledge about your niche. The same is true for trading, where you must have knowledge before trading and also have a strategy. Trading needs capital, which a freelancer not required, but patience is essential. I believe it is appropriate to refer to it as a business because we have capital, we have control over our money, and we could go bankrupt.
4265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: *Day Traders* are now calling gambling Addiction helplines!! on: October 07, 2021, 05:21:55 PM
Is this really related or not, but personally what is said to be a kind of gamble from day trading is when they trade futures. So it is very appropriate if you look at the level of profit and loss you get.

At first glance they will be very different, but when juxtaposed both use the same pattern. I can't fully say that this is a 100% form of gambling, perhaps more precisely, there are similarities in features that bring day trading traders like on a platform that uses crypto trading but inside it doesn't seem much different from gambling activities.
If they did really feel the thrill that they are looking for like in gambling then it may be considered as gambling. There are many forms of gambling not just playing card games and many more as long as there is a situation where a person is willing to risk his money just to earn profit. I would say that it is a gambling type of activity but in different way.

Agreed, and it has its own set of rules. Depending on your strategy, trading can also be a game of chance. When you first start trading, you'll often hear or read that you shouldn't treat it like gambling; you're simply casting trades without a proper strategy or knowledge, and you're relying solely on luck, which will cause you to lose money in the long run. You are correct; no matter what kind of game there is with money involved, it is still gambling. As long as you agree on the same rules to win the game, you are good.
4266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice for fun or profits on: October 07, 2021, 01:29:11 PM

I will not agree with this statement not only newbies play dice even experience gamblers also go for dice because of its simplicity and luck base, but it also does not require skills to play the game since it is all about choosing a number.

Unfortunately, but I'm afraid LogitechMouse is right. Newbies play dice for the very reason you mentioned yourself. Of course it happens that experienced gamblers also play dice, but in my opinion, these are mostly those who somehow want to gain an advantage over the game. In other words, veterans try to use their experience and find weaknesses (mostly new to the market) gambling websites.

I don't care if it's for beginners or experts, as long as you're having fun. It's not just about the money; it's also about having a good time. Personally, I enjoy playing simple games such as dice games. We all have our favorite games that we should respect, such as computer games, first-person shooter games, and role-playing games. They have different tastes, but they both enjoy the game. Nothing is wrong with it as long as you enjoy playing it.
4267  Economy / Economics / Re: Now UK is facing inflation so choose the best for you.. on: October 07, 2021, 04:18:04 AM
This makes me wonder how much else of the world is currently experiencing super high influxes of inflation.  Here in the United States we're around the 4-5% mark, which is up big time from the past decade which has seen inflation at under a % each year.  Some project this to last for years ..scary times ahead in that sense.

Here in our country as well, but I believe Venezuela is really suffering from hyperinflation, which has rendered their currency worthless. I heard they're using crypto as a payment method to combat hyperinflation, but I'm not sure what they're doing. Almost every third-world country is suffering, including ours, where the price of all foods has doubled, gas is also extremely expensive, and the unemployment rate is extremely high. Despite opening our economy by 50%, we are still unable to cope with our losses.
4268  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC is helping out Cubans and Venezuelans on: October 07, 2021, 01:12:05 AM
And who of the participants in this topic can provide evidence / arguments that the use of bitcoin as a means of payment really helped the country's economy, and did not become, such a distraction, in a situation where there are no good solutions? Changing the type of means of payment cannot correct the fundamental problems of the country's financial system and its economy. And this type of problem is the key problem for Venezuela and Cuba.

This is something I agree with. What's the point now that it's been legalized? They have a high rate of inflation, which reduces the value of their fiat currency. I haven't read anything about how they plan to improve the financial system; all I know is that they have legalized it or that bitcoin will fill the void. I think I'll do some research on this and get back to you if I find anything., I'm just upset about it because they haven't provided any justifications.
4269  Economy / Economics / Re: A way to make money online? on: October 06, 2021, 05:45:30 PM
You can as well render web services on the forum and get paid for it. Having a tech skill should give you  enough money while you wait to finish your site. You can as well check out Reddit where your services will be welcomed you shouldn't be seeking for where and how to make money online with what you have at hand

This really requires skill , but how about you dont have skills? Well that is really the problem, you should really render a time to learn since it is really difficult to earn online without skills, you should really learn first then you can earn. We are lucky here that is in this forum since we can join signature campaign and at the same time earn. There are also microtask which you can research in google but still it to low . Right now it is really difficult to earn money online since there are a lot of competition.

The truth is, at a point that many people find there, some know many things, from programming to doing any web design, but the only thing that I am seeing is that those people who do not have skills in any trade, are finding a way playing NFT games. In my country many have left their jobs and dedicated themselves to these games, for those with a low budget they dedicate themselves to Plant vs Undead, and those who have more money dedicate themselves to Axie Infinity, of course to enter you must have some money for investment.

Agreed, but if you apply as a scholar and are accepted, your only investment will be patience and time spent playing the game. I am also a scholar in Axie Infinity, which is extremely beneficial to me because I require additional income to cover my losses after losing my job this year due to the pandemic. The money you'll make in NFT games is quite good, which is why people want to invest in them, but they require a significant amount of capital. We're just lucky right now, but we never know what will happen in the future, so it's best to save while we have this kind of income.
4270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $5000 to $1 million in 3 years and little over 2000 bets! on: October 06, 2021, 05:22:32 PM

Op is the kind of gambler that's very patient and not greedy else he/she might have loss all the total amount he has made in a single game, a living legend is Op.
To reach this kind of level, one must be willing to have all experience to deal with emotional and money management skills in handling every ticket.

OP is showing us big figures and it's not easy to reach that figure with that number of bets, before he reached that I'm sure that there's a lot of obstacles before he set up his own strategies, you have a chance in sports betting if you are well organized, good in time and money management, there's a big difference in relying on luck and developing a system and OP has succeeded that luck is on your side if you have perseverance.

Following this strategy will take a long time and a lot of capital. If there will be a guarantee of sure profit which is as big as what OP stated, then it will be worth it but if we'll only be getting it by chance then it might be a big loss. I hope he could continue updating regarding strategy for another 3 years if possible.

These days, sharing strategy isn't really known; they won't share their strategy because they don't want others to win as well. People nowadays (though not all) are selfish, whereas in the past, such a strategy would be shared with others because they cared. But, based on this, I believe it is possible if he is extremely fortunate, but it is mathematically impossible, as most people believe. Nonetheless, I was astounded by it and believe you are extremely fortunate.
4271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice for fun or profits on: October 06, 2021, 11:05:18 AM
Some people gamble their money to have fun but I think majority are playing with the motive of making their money double or triple in snap. As we know gambling is a fast way to earn (and lose as well), risky but exciting. Regardless of your reason, I think what matter is you enjoy the game and had the guts to face the consequences.
Why would they try to make profit out of dice though, it's not like they're going to have control over what's going happen when the dice rolls. I find this kind of people pathetic, they're trying to win against chance, there are other games out there that you can play that can be in your control.

However, it is their choice. It's a lot like a lottery, and they're going to try their luck. I believe that the majority of the reason they play these types of games is to have fun because they do not want to learn complicated games (to those who know to play those games like card game they will say it is easy but same with us it would be difficult). They really want something simple, like one or two rules, then bet, no thinking, no strategy, just pure luck.
4272  Other / Off-topic / Re: [IMAGINE] SATOSHI HAS APPEARED TO PUBLIC?! on: October 06, 2021, 03:48:00 AM
The likeliness of this happening is really next to none. Unless Satoshi was already dead to start with, this will only happen if he/she/they want to get suicided by the government. You know, with a self-inflicted gunshot at the back of the head.

Agree to this since it is not the same with bill gates or warren that they could have a security or anything that could make them safe. Satoshi is another thing since the government will really pursue him/her . Government is really difficult in this terms so to make this not complicated then it is good to hide the identity
4273  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exchanges are charging a big amount as transaction fee on withdrawal on: October 05, 2021, 04:23:52 PM
It is really annoying to pay big amounts as transaction fee. Today myself encountered a pathetic situation. I was in need of money, and my wallet had $400 worth of TRX. I wasn't able to change it directly to fiat, and for this reason I deposited the entire TRX in an exchange and traded against bitcoin. Now on withdrawing it exchange took a transaction fee of 0.0009 btc and what is left is around $350 worth bitcoin.

Please post the exchanges with the low transaction fee and good trading volume. Maybe next time it'll help me.

The bitcoin fee on the exchange does feel very high . because the average exchange uses a fixed fee. and the high bitcoin price affects the total fixed fee as well. and I think this applied on many exchanges . except in your own wallet. maybe the best way to avoid this thing happen again to find out how to withdraw altcoin to your currency. because altcoins have much lower fees. such as LTC its less than $1

I agree that this is a great tip for lowering fees. They mostly do it because they can profit from it. Imagine paying them for the security of your money as well as the use of their website. They will also implement a minimum withdrawal to ensure that they receive enough fees. Converting your coin into an altcoin is the best option for lowering fees and speed, as bitcoin currently has extremely high fees and traffic.
4274  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is There Problem In the Crypto-currency? on: October 05, 2021, 03:08:09 AM
Problems will always exist here since different events affect the price of cryptocurrencies as well as the market situation but if we'll focus on the negativity instead of hoping for a positive impact, we'll surely attract what we believe. Despite all the negative things that are happening in crypto, we should still know how to deal with it. Crypto is volatile and Fud will always accompany it but we should know where and what to listen to.
FUD does not only exist in the cryptocurrency market but all financial markets making investors to be uncertain and the price of the market. Maybe we should concentrate more on the benefit of having the cryptocurrency market to our side than looking at the disadvantages that is often seen in all financial markets.

Yes, the majority of people will see its drawbacks, and those who do not have cryptocurrency are simply spreading false information about it. I'm not sure why they do it because they don't benefit from it. We should be grateful now that we have a cryptocurrency that benefits us. As for myself, I don't see any disadvantages. Is the market volatile? It's natural because that's when we make money from it.
4275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $5000 to $1 million in 3 years and little over 2000 bets! on: October 05, 2021, 01:39:15 AM
I posted regarding this before back in 2018. Many said couldn't be done but i followed the methodology and the picks religiously and here we are. Spreadsheet shows all the picks in the log sheet and the dashboard shows the summary.

It's not an easy feat but if you put your mind into it, you can really achieve it, this is sports betting where it involves analysis and luck, you are lucky that you analyze the majority of your bet correctly, I think you're not the only one doing this, there are hundreds or thousands of sports bettors doing the same, you are also well organized you are a true sports bettors.

But it's the odds that are the real issue. If the majority of people bet on this, the multiplier if you win is too low because the platform will balance the winnings, but if you bet on the other team, the multiplier is usually times three, but the chances of winning are still low, so it's a win-win situation. I'm not a big sports bettor, but when the NBA playoffs roll around, that's when I start betting because I enjoy the game.
4276  Economy / Economics / Re: Why would people ever use bitcoin if its expected to always go up? on: October 04, 2021, 04:42:44 PM
After reading several posts on this forum many people seem to think that Bitcoin will always go up. If this were to be the case, why would people spend Bitcoin at all? In this theoretical time, wouldn't it just be a poor financial decision to do?

Or is it thought that in this future where there is widespread adoption the price would stop being so volatile and for the most part stabilize?
If the price would always appreciate, how would that stop you from making use of Bitcoin?

Nothing would stop you from using it, that's not the question.  The question is if you think bitcoin is always going to go up, why would you ever spend it?  Because obviously if you think it only goes up, spending it brings the opportunity cost of losing future gains.

Agreed, and this is the point at which people will stop selling it because the price is rising. That is nonsense, and we could say that there will be no trading because there will be no buying and selling because there will be no movements, only selling and buying. The market will not go through a cycle. Also, if the price continues to rise, the day will come when no one can afford to buy a bitcoin because the price is so high, unlike now.

I know gambling can cause serious addiction etc, that shouldn't be up to our governments to decide whether we should be allowed to do it or not.

yeah it is our self anyway and if we are on the right age or grown up already , we will know if whats right and what is not right  .
to some governments that do it for them selves , we cant be angry straight to them because they are only concerned and who knows maybe the rate of addicted gamblers on that area are now verry high . its a good news and congrats if your living from those places where gambling is now legal .

You make a valid point, but whether you are of legal age or not, it is still addictive; others have compared it to drugs. I have a strong desire to win at gambling, which is extremely addictive. I remember when i was child which i will be going to carnival just to play those color games it was a simple color game which i also won and that night i always sneak out our house and go to the carnival it was really addicting. Regardless of the government's actions, I believe they are beneficial to all, and we should accept them.
4278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legalized Gambling where you live..where does it stand? on: October 04, 2021, 03:10:04 AM
Well, in my country here is the status regarding gambling casino operation. [ https://www.legalonlinecasinos.ph/ ]
We are glad that our government did not strict on the online casino as long as it is regulated and it has a license to operate.
Perhaps they know that they can get profit by collecting tax and it could increase the tax revenue to help the economic growth which is until now we are recovering the lost fund due to the pandemic. As long as it is in a regulated way, there is no reason they will prohibit people to gamble.

Agree it is a win win situation since the government is earning tax from it and the gambling industry are the top 3 biggest paying taxes in that country which really big boost to the economy. We should only talk to good side to this since big taxes could make a lot of jobs and also the economy is good. They are also searching for those illegal ones since they don't have papers to operate. Most of the Chinese will be in that country and invest in casino since it is legal.
4279  Economy / Economics / Re: Only young and naive guy believe in high risk high return on: October 03, 2021, 01:25:28 PM
Only young and naive guy believe in high risk high return

In the world wars, young and naive people go to battle field and fight each other to death, they take risk to protect the war that they can never win, while they’re being manipulate by the other group of elite who do not like to take such risk. These elite tell the young people to take the risk despite they know it’s risky and they don’t want take the risk but want someone else to take such risk. Many people died and sacrificed in the war that can’t be won. The elite do not take the risk, not only they didn’t take risk they also profit a lot from the war, for the people who love to advocate high risk high return, NOPE you’re wrong, they take no risk while they can make the maximum profit that those of you who take risk can only dream of.

Since the war is over, it’s not profitable for the elite anymore. They know what is their next move after the war. Yup, money, they’re now looking at money, they know money has the same properties to a world war, they also know they do not like to take risk, so now they tell all you idiot to take risk that they don’t want to take and deceive you to believe high risk high return, you’re real idiot if you didn’t learn from the previous lesson, you’re idiot if you didn’t learn from the world wars, you’re idiot to take risk that they tell you to take while they making maximum profit taking no risk at all.

If you truly understand the risk of a high-risk high-reward type of investment it doesn't mean you're an idiot. As long as you have risk management to whatever type of investment you were trying to commit, you'll never be on the point of losing all of your money. Remember, you'll never be successful if you don't take the risk but there will only have 2 results, either you win or lose.

Agree with this because we all know that successful people take risks. We don't know their stories, but I am confident that they risk everything they have just to be where they are now. You can't gain anything if you don't take a chance. However, this does not mean that you should take any risks; you should conduct thorough research and not put all your eggs in one basket.
4280  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: October 03, 2021, 09:17:36 AM
Fiat money is easy to get and more reliable to accessible. You can easily steal fiat than cryptocurrencies.
You are somewhat right but I think that the reason that fiat is the preference of criminals is because they have an already established way of cleaning the money and they don't know how cryptocurrency works so they might have a problem because of Internet trail that they might leave behind.
Well there 2 types of criminal activities  online and in live one which in online is they used bitcoin or crypto as a payment since it is easy than fiat but in other type they used the physical one which it is easy but criminals now are really careful they are using the internet and crypto to not be easily detected
