4262  Other / Meta / Re: Should some Bitcointalk's rules change now? on: June 12, 2021, 06:31:08 AM
Nor does the forum need any more funds, so it's just silly all around.  Why would you want to pay what would likely still be an enormous amount of bitcoin just for a custom title on this forum, especially when the forum you're giving the money to either has no use for it or might even mismanage it?  I have no idea what bitcointalk does with its funds, but it's apparently not being used for anything constructive.  Mods don't get paid all that much from what I know, and the forum has a lot of bitcoin at its disposal.
Well, let's just wrap it around this — Money is never enough! I'm yet to see anyone or read of such where someone said they've made enough money that they don't want to keep on making more. If that be the case, the ilks of Elon - Bill - Warren - Jeff - Carlos, just to mention but five, won't still be in business slaving for money. Besides, except someone is privy to the accounts of this forum, I don't think Theymos had mentioned that the forum has made more cash than it needs. As for the mods, could it because they don't get paid much that's why some of them do their jobs without precision and focus, given the nature of good posts they delete which they shouldn't so as to put up the impression that they're actually working? 🤔
4263  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria Local Board {Official language, Pidgin} on: June 11, 2021, 06:19:12 PM

According to Oyibo people — This advice takes the trophy!

My broda, the koko be sey who nor go nor go know. D bitter truth be sey wen you dey do boyfriend and girlfriend you go think dey wives plenty. Na lie! Na when you want settle down you go sabi sey women plenty true true but wife scarce. I advise anyone wey dey here wey get any lady wey im wan marry to settle down at once. Money is neva enough. Even, the money sef nor go come as you dey expect am and age go dey waka go small small.
4264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you trust centralized exchanges? on: June 11, 2021, 05:57:59 PM
Recently, I have not been trading on centralized exchanges and have kept as much money there as it’s not a pity to lose
A single isolated case isn't enough to blanket others in condemnation. Whether Cex or Dex, they're all controlled by the intuition of man. Man isn't perfect and as such we shouldn't expect perfection anywhere. I have heard about tokens getting hacked on Dexs. So, it's not as if Dexs are completely immuned from all that like a lot of people make it look. I trade on Binance from time to time and I haven't had any issues with it. Binance is a Cex and is rated 10 on trust score as the most secured.
4265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are some long term projects for holding? on: June 11, 2021, 04:29:58 PM
It will seem that everyone will want to shill tokens they hodl given an opportunity like this. However, some will still be object without bias. Just have the spirit of discernment while going through suggestions here. Again, make sure to check token historical data and charts before buying in so you don't buy into the top.

Here are my suggestions:
1. Bitcoin
2. BNB
3. Cartesi
4. Any exchange token with nice trading volume
5. ForTube
6. Dego Finance
4266  Economy / Services / Re: Food delivery on: June 11, 2021, 05:03:27 AM
For $20USD of BTC, I will order food delivery to your location. This is a YOLO purchase--you will not get a say in what food you receive. I promise you it will be ~$20USD worth of food (inclusive of tip + platform fees).

I have verified transactions of this service using DOGE. Be my first BTC customer!
This post is very absurd in many ways:

1. "you will not get a say in what food you receive" Oh, really? How does that work for you? Even in the worst of dictatorship, buyers get to decide what type of food they pay for.

2. Your account smacks of suspicion and intent to scam. This is your first post here and you're already offering a service. 🤷
4267  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Roobet.com Signature Campaign | The Honest Online Casino | Full Members+ on: June 10, 2021, 10:46:28 AM
Snip>

Something tells me the above participants must've missed that information to update to new signature and avatar. I don't want them missing out on the week's pay. Thus, my reason putting it out here. I will also send them private messages. Either way, they must get to see it now.

My advice: Please, always endeavour to visit thread of a campaign you're in, at least once every pay day. There might be related information from time to time from manager.

Edited: I had to stamp out the usernames as it seems they're all wearing the appropriate logos and avatar now, after acknowledging my text to them in pm. Thanks to all Roobet comrades. That's how we Roo!
4268  Economy / Reputation / Re: I'm not Little Mouse on: June 09, 2021, 04:09:59 PM
This post is to certify that I'm not involved with any cryptocurrency team. This token/coin Little Mouse has nothing to do with me.

On a side note, I believe this project is totally a scam shit coin. Please be aware and always do enough research before investing.
The disclaimer is apt. But I think it's just a mere coincidence owing to the fact that there isn't any patent preventing same name from being used on different sites. For instance, another dude could decide to use my moniker here as his on another crypto site or even run it as a token name. No biggie. The only way anyone can accuse you of involvement in the project is if any of your social media handles (Telegram, Twitter, Reddit etc) is shown to have be used in correspondence with the project. That's just it. What do we even say of that which happens here where bounty participants use the monikers of veteran members in their applications for social media tasks. It's even a worse situation, if you asked me.

Again about the token, it has no trading price. Yet it's shown as having trading volumes at different times. So, who and who are doing the purchases and sales? This alone is enough to warn anyone that it's a scam. Yet people will still blindly fall for it.

4269  Other / Meta / Re: This thing with the accounts' farming has to stop... on: June 09, 2021, 10:30:21 AM
Take this for example: I bought my first 500 us dollars Bitcoin! [archive.org]. The first page is consisted of 18 alt accounts with the same activity/post count and no merits. You'll observe that the guy behind these accounts was just submitting meaningless posts and then logging out from each account to log in to the next one. Each post time difference is around 2 minutes. Then, he did it again 4 hours later.
It's really horrible beholding such obvious spam posts (I followed the link to check the thread) and this leaves me wondering what mods of such a board are doing or are they simply turning a blind eye to it all? It's obvious those first string of posters there in that thread are shit posters. So, where are all those who take care of shit posting on the forum?

Additionally, we have theymos to thank for introducing the Merit system. Otherwise, this forum would've turned a shit paradise by now. I ain't saying that the merit system is doing what it's supposed to do in totality (I still see a lot of shit posts that get unbelievable amount of merits) but it has helped to a greater extent to keep account farming in check.
4270  Economy / Reputation / Re: My 10 Year Bitcointalk Anniversary on: June 09, 2021, 08:36:42 AM
I wonder how many members registered in late 2017 are still active today, because that time period saw tons of accounts being created and I think a lot of them went inactive after the ICO boom went bust.
You don't think it was more to the introduction of Merit than the seemingly end of ICOs? I think it's the first, anyway.

Surprised you're congratulating OgNasty, suchmoon.
It's a good sign to exemplify the doctrine of objective assessment and criticism which entails tackling issues and not personality. Besides, there's no permanent enemy except that which God made with Satan.
4271  Other / Meta / Re: Where should i start? on: June 09, 2021, 06:52:03 AM
Normal users who come here try to read the forum, and not be clever about the usefulness and all sorts of promises.
By "normal users", do you mean the genuine newbies who are actually posting for the first time on this forum and not some dude hiding behind an alt? That also got my suspicion up too because I would think the first places to post should be Beginners & Help, Offtopic or Politics. Meta is a more complicated section to start posting in. But then, what do I know. The world is truly a strange place. 🤷
4272  Economy / Services / Re: [Slot Full][Signature] Non Fungible Defi Full Member To Legendary/ Paid in BTC on: June 09, 2021, 05:00:42 AM
I see a few participants providing TRC-20 addresses as against the BTC address asked for in the OP. Some providing both BTC and TRC. Is that a new instruction from the manager because I didn't find that in the OP. If so, shouldn't this thread be moved to altcoin section?
4273  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk forum mobile app on: June 08, 2021, 05:57:09 PM
A Bitcointalk forum mobile application should be created, what do you think?
Yes, I'm in support of this. It will give the forum a new form of publicity too and help tush things up. It's not as if it's a big deal to do. It will also get new features that can make the site more appealing. Medium is on the web and also has an app. Reddit has its own app too. Twitter has it. All those mentioned are also social media sites like BTT. It's about time we moved BTT to catch up with the rest. Once there's an app for BTT on the playstore, it will create more awareness for us and Bitcoin/crypto too.
4274  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: A phishing website of blockchain wallet exists in the first result of Google.. on: June 08, 2021, 11:35:00 AM

Website:
Code:
https://login.blockchhailn.com/
Nice one pointing it out. The scammer(s) even did a double addition on the name that should alert any ardent reader of the phishing. Only that most newbies are always in a hurry and won't notice the difference — https://login.blockchHaiLn.com/ It's this same stuff that makes me insist on getting a direct link from anyone suggesting an app to me for download.  It's now common this day on playstore too. One has to be sure of what one is downloading, otherwise one lands on a scam app.
4275  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Let's say you have a large amount of BTC and you on: June 08, 2021, 06:48:26 AM
Mixers are definitely a tool to consider.
I was wondering why no one mentioned mixers earlier. If the hypothetical scenario OP painted were a reality, then it should be better to go through mixers first. Then begin to do piecemeal purchases of privacy coins with it and P2P sales. If you're a Forex or Binary trader you can fund your account with BTC (or other acceptable cryptos) without trace and then withdraw from it in bits after a while of trading, whether in profit or not.

4279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHERE I CAN FIND ? on: June 06, 2021, 04:01:11 PM
A lot of people uses tradingview for technical analysis. You need to learn about leading indicators if you want to have an idea about price changes before it actually happens. There are also apps like Blockfolio that notifies you price changes depending on your set up.
Two things in your post that drew my attention:
1. Your advice to OP to get to learn about leading indicators. It's my kind of thing. But sadly I haven't read much about people talking about leading indicators here. They often point to MAs, RSI, MACD which are all Lagging indicators (could it be that they think those are leading indicators?) These indicators tend to act after price has passed. Leading indicators of S&R, Trendiness, Pivot Points et al lead before price does anything.

2. The mention of Tradingview.
There's a new app in town called Poocoin. You can get it at www.poocoin.app. It's a nice app and does much more than what Tradingview does. Token contracts addresses are imbedded into it with other sophisticated features.
4280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Many Different Coins Do You Own? Me = 11 on: June 06, 2021, 03:02:47 PM
Last i checked my wallets, i had over 200 different coins and tokens on them.
Some are worth quite a bit, some are useless shitcoins
Really? 200 is quite huge. It's a collection, actually. I hope the shitcoins are not more than valuable ones in number? Come to think of it, there's no crypto enthusiast with a wallet who doesn't have a bit or collection of some worthless tokens.

On my part, I really can't say I have a certain number I keep. I trade them from time to time and might buy different ones after selling off certain ones. However, no matter how I sell off some of my tokens I try not to touch Cartesi and Curio. Those tokens are undervalued ATM. Again, it's not even enough to say one has tokens if they're not in appreciable quantities. Get tokens and buy each of them in large quantity, it's the ultimate.
