4283  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Minners in Kazakhstan pay high electricity tax on: May 06, 2023, 10:42:00 PM

USD 0.01 PER want is cheap

not sure what the complaint is.
✌️ Oh yeah not as if the miners are not making profits with that cheap electricity in Kazakhstan and after the country's last miners' regulations and cryptocurrency policy, I was expecting to hear good news coming from that region is one of the most cryptocurrency POW friendly countries.

Crypto miners are generating a lot of revenue from fees that should be enough to cover their operational costs, and if their feel they are being overly taxed it ok to opt into other alternatives source of electricity generation to catch down the cost of energy consumption and bills.

In my understanding in sports bets, these are all redirected to the odds calculation and its potential reward, this is most popular in most of the online casinos and if you do not mind the simple way to take them is that both 1.02-1.04 are all odds representing the selected bets in whichever ways it all ball down to the odds.

In other not to get myself confused, I always opt for the direct winning games selections, most especially in football matches.
It's not like these betting options are available with all bookies. i haven't seen any crypto sportsbook offer these types of betting options. It's always just the regular you choose who you're rooting for and sometimes, especially in specific types of matches like boxing or UFC fights we get to choose how they would win. In football matches I've seen this betting be done but only in fiat and live sportsbook games, so the statement still stands. It seems like this betting dynamic is slowly losing its relevance to the general public in favor of much easier to understand and execute options such as direct winning as you have said.
I do totally agree with the fact that you mentioned that this betting style doesn't exist on cryptocurrency casinos because things are changing lately, and on stake, one can choose between any odds, even some game features allow you to stake on the goals scores within the match regardless of which club score them.

4286  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Naija Novice Hangout {Newbies introduction & Orientation} Thread. on: May 06, 2023, 09:26:14 PM
Just commenting here after a long time from the hangout threads, this thread is the cradle of the Naija local board and is interesting how everything started from this thread, all thanks CryptopreneurBrainboss who was the pioneer member.

I will keep an eye on some of the posts of our newbies to see how we can encourage the few exceptional newbies and help them navigate the way through their cryptocurrency journey and how to properly secured themselves from intruders, cryptocurrency is no doubt a highly risky venture so at that everyone needs to have adequate knowledge on how to secure the coins and his to properly DCA while holding bitcoin as the less risky coins in the cryptocurrency market., knowledge can be easily transferred to constant contact with the source of the information.

So I urge all our newbies to always be active on the forum and also on the local board there are quite several motivating activities going on on the local board that is enough to keep our newbies actively motivated in their quest to gain knowledge and understand cryptocurrency better.
4287  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can someone remove DireWolfM14 from this Marketplace? on: May 06, 2023, 08:01:50 PM

Newbies and junior members are seen as none established members of the forum so at that members offering lending services always try to limit them from requesting for loans, most especially in none collateral loans, and this rule is clearly stated in the lending terms and conditions.

So any newbies that apply for such loans can be tagged as potential risks who can default on the loan payments.

But in your case, DireWolfM14 have asked you to prove that you have the 1+BTC you mentioned as collateral and the tag will be removed, so your problem can be solved by just signing Bitcoin messages from your acclaimed wallet holding the Bitcoin the Bitcoin you want to use as collateral.

I am not op but you still need to know at least something to weed out that misleading information from your feeds. You need to know how to prioritize good sources and you can't do that without knowing a lot about that area. And if you can do that you are a "Pro" in my eyes as a sports noob. I guess being "pro" always means being a step higher than you actually are if you are being modest.
The fact that we are open to multiple sources of updates makes it easier for a noob to become a pro in no distance time all that is needed for that is to have a good build knowledge of statistical analyses of both past sports events and team performances, this means your ability to connect the various node together to form better-informed information that you digest.

Being a step ahead means putting in extra effort to get good sources for your updates, e.g among the various Bitcoin/cryptocurrency information sources, bitcointalk stands out as the best and number one but not all Bitcoin users know about this forum, and only those that mile extra effort to gain knowledge find themselves here in the forum.
4289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investor lose billionaire opportunity -Damien Slash lost it over MEME coin SHIBA on: May 06, 2023, 01:52:37 PM
That is why altcoin investment is a gamble because no one know what will happen to the price of the coin and it future potentials, unlike Bitcoin where one can still give some level of insight and guess of which direction the price will go,  Shiba inu as a meme coin could act in whatever ways, the responsibility is left on the investors to make use of the proper timing.

The guy in the story hard a very good entry point since he bought those shiba inu at the early stage and at cheap price, but he failed to wait and take on a good exit price since he sold at lose, I don't know what his reasons were but for me, it best to make use of proper DCA at both entry and exit point to minimize profits or cut loses.
4290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Copa Del Rey Final 2022-2023 - Predictions and Discussion. on: May 06, 2023, 12:14:40 PM
I just gave Real Madrid a straight winning ticket in the copa Del Rey finals since they are the favourites in this game, even though Real Madrid's performance is nothing near satisfatering it's important to take note of their capacity judging from previous performance compared to Osasuna and from all indication, Madrid will have a slide winning in this match.

This will serve Real Madrid as compensation since they are not holding any thing tangible out of the various leagues this seas in, Barcelona and man city is big threats to Real Madrid this season.

Maybe I'm not at the right place with this sub, but couldn't think of a better one.

Yep, not sure where this topic would go.But what a great idea and very cool thing you’ve done. Another good bit of Bitcoin promotion Smiley

How about something like  Rosa Bitcoinius ?

Anyway, again - awesome work  Smiley

I hard a similar situation when a church I'm my local region was doing crown funding to erect a new signpost and I offer to spend some Bitcoin in funding the project, and guess what Bitcoin logo was encrypted within the space where there was project courtesy so what I did basically was to write my name and bitcologo.

Only I know what exactly that means and some other few friends who were around when the design was done, nice one ops and I suggest you go with your original ideas but good you shared them here for us to read.

really? but if you look at the other's website you will see the amount bet in crypto but on this site, you will just see it in USD.
I look at the chatbox and it seems the chat box full of AI because they instantly answer the question from each other, I even try to chat there but I don't get any answer in that chatbox.

You are the second person reporting the potential use of AL bots in their chat room and this is something that will not go down well with a lot of members here in the forum because we prefer to interact with full human representatives rather than seeing a hot making random replies.

And also I may have to try out the casino myself to have a first-hand background knowledge about what is happening and God willing I may review this casino with comments on their reputation and service delivery that will make them standout within the market since there is a high competition in the gambling environment and Bitcoin bitcoin still need a lot of performs could dom
4293  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING!!! STRETCH TO EARN (Bounty): A Possible Scam on: May 05, 2023, 09:44:50 PM
The fact that the forum does no regulate scams make it difficult for any red flag projects to get a kick out of the forum, and that leaves the investors and other members of the forum to do their research before investing in any projects and if there is a proven case os scam against the project then DT members am can't other members can distrust them to warn others from falling victim.

Also sorry for those bounty hunters who are going to waste their time and energy promoting this potential scam project.

4295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 2 questions that bother me on: May 05, 2023, 09:18:58 PM
1. There's no one answer to this as there's different models of token pre-selling. Some do first-come, first-served, some do it with a static price, etc. I'm not sure how Binance usually does it because I never joined a presale on their platform.

2. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. It will totally depend on valuations.
When the team do the pre-sale themselves, their offers first come first serve percentage quantity buying and also give those early investors a lot of bonuses as early adopters, while the price of the token/coin at pre-sale changes at different stages of the token sale up until the closing of token sell period which places a token price about 30% less to it exchange listing price.

The team have the sole right to set the tokens listing price,  and the exchange have little role to perform in that since the token teams are the one providing the liquidity for the token on the exchange,  and even in the situation of price pump, the team supply the liquidity, not the exchange.
4296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know it that market is speculative on: May 05, 2023, 09:06:34 PM
For newbies in trading, you need to understand that the crypto market is a speculative and not stagnant. It moves up and down known as bull and bear respectively. In case you don't know, now, how trade happens is when one buyer is speculating up another can speculate down and the exchange happens on the trading platform. For example when the price of BTC is $28,000, someone is speculating it further to buy to $29,500 and another can speculate it to sell to $26,000. So depending on your chart and analysis, that determines your winning strength if you speculate rightly. Trading is speculative based on your technical analysis, indicators and fundamentals (news).

What do you think?
Nice to dates for both newbies and any other rank member on bitcointalk that may not have the understanding of this fact about bitcoin price movement, and for the fact that Bitcoin is a speculative asset makes it trading possible and while a buyer may be predicting future uptrend price, the seller, on the other hand, doesn't necessarily need to speculate a possible bear market in the future.

While trades happen for various reasons, but speculation is greatly out of this and not everyone that is opening a sell order is predicting a possible bear market, but the buyer, on the other hand, is speculative and in an uptrend direction since profits making is the primary aim for trading/buying bitcoin.
4297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Month of May. Bitcoin price guess on: May 05, 2023, 08:30:08 PM
The market right now is stucked around $27k-28k, big indecision in the market and looking at where the price is , I'm short term Bearish as we fail to break above 30360 and retain that level , possibly the bears are trying to take charge and push the price low to test $25000  range , however I'm very bullish mid term and long term on Bitcoin.
Bitcoin Prediction is very difficult. Because it is capable of changing its direction in a short time. Because of this, the last two days, which was signalling the bearish tendency, it has started to rise again today. Currently traded on Bitcoin $29400. Bitcoin has increased by 2.5 per cent in the last 24 hours. It is expected that it will be bullish the next day as well. However, it can change its direction at any time. The month of May just started. Hopefully this month Bitcoin will be at least above $35k.
Bitcoin have shown a more bullish signal rather than a bearish signal as you mentioned BobK71, one thing we must know is the fact that but raise and corrections in the price of bitcoin which signal the volatility nature of bitcoin and that is what make Bitcoin speculations a hard task.

Analyzing the entire market for a 3-4 month cycle could give you a better understanding of the Bitcoin chart and if you consider such a cycle you can be said to be right on your predictions of a possible 30k Bitcoin price between and during the space of 2-3 months, but we may rely on and around between the rang of 30k-33k for long and it may take us a full 6 months cycle for bitcoin to get to 35k.
4298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: May 05, 2023, 08:15:36 PM
Here are some Negative effects of excessive gambling.

Too much stress
Anxiety and Depression
Debt
Making wrong decisions

You will not think of the negative effects when you're still enjoying the game but when you don't know how to get out and you stated chasing your losses, is not enjoyable anymore, you think of your losses you think that you can beat the house because you've experienced winning because you experienced how is it like to win big amount but you did not quit on time.
Everything depends on quitting at the right time and knowing your limitation, without this, you will fall into addiction so enjoying it becomes a source of anxiety and depression.

But the fact that everyone has their limit line and the ability to control and operates within your limit is what makes you different from any other person and for this fact, what may get you addicted may not be able to get me addicted in the sense that everything influence depends on the amount of time we devote to it and this is something that we need to constantly work with as the functional knowledge before we venture into anything.

So what determine the level of responsibility in anyone gambling is how far their able to manged their gambling habits and being able to keep it under moderation is what makes the big difference.

Boss there is nothing wrong with Wike inviting Tinubu to commission projects in the state and if you have been following up with Governor Wike's way of doing things, he has invited various individuals to commission the various projects by his administration, so this is not the first time and there is nothing wrong with this I'm politics and we should celebrate wike as the only true (unifier) since he doesn't consider party before making any development and connections that will bring better governance to his people.

Na wrong mentality to dey use emotions for politics because in politics there is no place for emotions or religion and the only language in politics is that, politics is a game of interest, so let it be and as the seating governor he has the right. Todelare work free day for the workers in the state.

Even Governor El Rufia did the same by declaring a public holiday for the state workers on a couple of times now and it is still cool, it's not only the seating president that has the constitutional right to commission projects, and even outside that Woke worked so much for Tinubu presidency and just like the president Elect said he holds port Harcourt to heart and you know what that means for the state I'm term of interest protection against the next administrativenon.

Wike is building and expanding his political tentacles and from his current political permutations, he may likely secure a place for himself in the elit cycle in the next administrations.
4300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: May 04, 2023, 07:42:34 PM

I must, with great respect, challenge the notion that casinos are the lone culprits of gambling addiction. Ultimately, it's the gambler who chooses to play and sets the stakes. Sure, promos and bonuses entice, but self-restraint is up to the individual. Gambling, akin to movies or sports events, entertains. Casinos? Merely profit-seekers, like any business. Policing patrons isn't their gig. The onus lies with folks to own their actions and find help if needed.
Well just like I said earlier, casinos cent be blamed for players' actions since it's out of their control to detect players when and how to use their platforms, I don't really know how self-exclusion work in some casinos anyways because the majority of complaints we hear about casinos being responsible for some silly player addictions is based on one fact that.

When they already self-exclude themselves from the casino, they still receive promotional emails from the casinos which ultimately tempt them to return back to active gambling thereby luring them back into addictions.

So it will be better for casinos that offer self-exclusion to also wipe out players who use this option emails from their newsletter,  that way they won't continue to get the promotional offers via emails, and another way to do that os for the player to unsubscribed from newsletter before optioning out of the platform.
