4281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] SegWit (BTC) vs Bitcoin Unlimited (BTU): Which Would You Choose? on: March 21, 2017, 12:56:14 PM
I'd have to say that I'd rather go with Segwit even with all the times that the devs being too close to blockstream and so on, I still feel that they're the best set of people to actually help the bitcoin network with their scaling solution.

I feel as if BTU is just going to be a way for the majority of miners (Chinese) and Ver to be able to fight to make some crazy money off of hard forking bitcoin if they're able to hit the magic number of 51 percent, or more around 70 if they want to actually do it without an issue.

I just don't like the centralized aspect of BTU, I don't feel thats what Bitcoin has and ever should stand for.

SEGWIT!
4282  Other / Politics & Society / Re: David Rockefeller dies aged 101 on: March 20, 2017, 11:58:13 PM
You mean he had 7 heart transplants? That's too much. He had the money to afford the transplants and here there are so many who don't have money and die at such a young age. May his soul RIP.

Once you hit a certain point in your life when you notice that you're just going to be wasting the chance for others to actual survive from the hearts that are much needed, why wouldn't this guy just let the grim reaper take him and just let the hearts to go to the poor people on the list who really need it.

This is one of the most disgusting things about the elite, the part that they'll do something like this but someone who has been waiting on the list for a couple years and is close to death won't even have one chance based on the fact that they don't wield the same amount of influence as this rich / elite fucker.

Happiness is not in money, but the opportunity to appreciate every minute of life. He did everything to prolong his life, but he could not attain immortality.

He really pushed his life down the line when he shouldn't have, and it caught him before he could pull another fast one with another heart transplant.

Besides what I side, RIP.
4283  Economy / Economics / Re: Trump tax on foreign remittances could open market share for Bitcoin on: March 20, 2017, 11:02:41 PM
The biggest thing that I see with this is that if Bitcoin attempts to fill this void, it may cause regulations by the government just because they know this is the reason that bitcoin is being used for those people. It's not something that is going to help Bitcoin in the least and I wouldn't want to see it fill this void.

It's not going to help Bitcoin at all and it may see a bit of a surge for a little while in the means of more people using it but it will just make it harder for the rest of the people that want to use Bitcoin for a way that is accepted by the government.

It'll fuck Bitcoin if it fills this void, don't do it and heed the warning.
4284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: March 20, 2017, 09:41:26 PM
As with everything else in life, all is OK in moderation

I'd have to say that this is probably one of the biggest issues that come up with drinking, people don't know when to stop and when enough is really enough. It's something that has to be addressed as we hear in todays news about more and more people being hit by drunk drivers.

It is correct to say the consequences of excessive alcohol consumption can have serious consequences. I now drink coffee with cognac and not feel any consequences. The measure should be in everything. When you drink too much water it can also be a problem.

Though, water can harm you but the amount of water you'd have to be drinking in order for it to cause any sort of issue for you is really a disgusting amount and I don't think any human would do that, unless forced to.

Once you take one sip of Alcohol you're poisoning yourself, you're pretty much volunteering to drink poison. Your liver can usually fight this off, but upon drinking it on a regular basis at an excesive amount you may incur issues such as needing to get your stomach pumped, liver problem, and other cancers down the road.
4285  Other / Archival / Re: Earning "free" bitcoins on: March 20, 2017, 08:23:31 PM
You must think that when you're going to be getting something for free on a site that is a faucet you're going to be the thing that is going to be used to make revenue for the site owner as no-one is going to be giving you anything for free in this world.

You're going to have to work, or be used by advertisers as a way to make money off of and that really is the only two ways to truly EARN the bitcoin in which you want to use.

There is no place where you can get free bitcoins in good amount and the days are gone when faucets sites used to pay huge amounts of bitcoin and at that time the price of bitcoin was $1 so if now you are hoping to get free bitcoins from faucets sites then you will definitely waste your time.

Yeah, this was something that was more viable a long time ago but now it's just going to be a waste of time based on the amount of competition that we know is present in the Faucet marketing marketplace. Still, for some people that could be some good pocket chance but for others it's just a waste of time.
4286  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to automate this simple feature in nicehash on: March 20, 2017, 07:33:29 PM
See if this is this simple in the way that it would be and it would provide a disgusting amount of money for anyone that is able to capitalize on this, at least for a short amount of time for a correction to happen so that people won't allow it to happen anymore.

Though, with the amount of money that could be made I wouldn't even doubt that this is something that is already done on Nicehash by tons of bots in order to make some really rich guys even richer.

But when you think about it, you can't really estimate the amount of hash power that is actually finding blocks is going to be a different story. Wouldn't profitability be something that would be chanigng by the millisecond and it could make the Nicehash power worthless at any point when you already have the contract done.

It seems simple, but it has many variable and probably would end up being saturated once used.
4287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Unlimited 40.3 % segwit=>deadwit :D :D on: March 20, 2017, 05:45:16 PM
I really thought that with the issues that arose with the code in BTU that they didn't even discover, it was going to signal the end of BTU and the start of Segwit actually being accepted by the miners. Boy was I wrong when it came to this.

Though, I've seen that is has fallen a little bit and is around the point of 34.7 percent compared to 40.3 when you posted this article.

Is there already a way to change BTC to BTU Coin pre fork, like speculation?

It is possible to invest in BTU or at least invest in the speculation that it will become Bitcoin and the miners will actually band together in doing a hard fork with a 51 percent majority.

I think Bitfinex is the site that allows you to do this, as we know they do have a bit of a shaky reputation due to the hack that occurred within them but besides that they've been a pretty innovative member of the exchanges these days.

I personally would rather Segwit but I guess anything to help would just be nice, just don't fuck with Bitcoin is all that I ask.
4288  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of Comunism? on: March 20, 2017, 12:56:22 PM
I think communism is good, but now it's impossible. Now the majority live on the principles of profit and income at any cost.

Couldn't agree with you at all buddy, I will have to say that the system that was developed by Marx was something that looks wonderful and all on paper but didn't really account for how human nature is and how people really on when they gain power.

I'd say one of the biggest things I've learned all around life is going to have to be that once people obtain power, even a little bit of it, they change and will abuse this power in order to help themselves and only themselves.

Communism in actual affect (to what we've seen to this day) allows for an elite to arise that is going to be above everyone else, which is usually the Communist party in government. This replaces the 1 percent or whatever they call them in Capitalism and the amount of abuse that happens with the government officials is disgusting.

Checks and balances are almost never seen in this type of government (which is usually seen in Democratic governments)

So in the end, it looks good on paper but will never work due to human greed.
4289  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: March 20, 2017, 11:13:44 AM
Taxation is the blood of every countries. Without it, the country will eventually die and crash. With the taxes that being paid, there are lot of people being helped and places being fixed. Tax is not theft, its just an obligation.

This

This is one of the core things about taxes that people don't understand and they feel their money is just going to the greedy people up in Washington (or whatever country you're in) and is just going straight to waste. But the people are unable to see the Police, Fire Department, Security, and so on that if they didn't have these services it would just cause the anarchy in a country to occur.

But one of the things that does bother people about taxes is the amount of money that is wasted by the government on things that the people really don't want to see nor do they feel is going to be worth the usage of their money on, this would be things such as controversial as Foreign aid (to certain countries), Supporting things such as Abortion / Anti Abortion, and so on.

People just want to see oversight of the money in which they work hard for to be in the government, it's simple and it's something the government is going to have to do.

4290  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [POLL]Our civil liberties are being curbed in the name of counter-terrorism on: March 20, 2017, 04:25:10 AM
See I think this is one of those issues in which it is wildly tough to draw a line between where the government is crossing the line in protecting you and where they're just trying to make sure everyone is safe. Thinking of it along the lines of "would I rather have saftey or unlimited freedom" is something that I think should be able to help you.

I don't agree with the surveillance of Americans by the American government, but in the name of making sure the country is more secure and making us safer against attacks from citizens within the country I'd have to agree with the surveillance as a whole.

Unlimited freedom is not a good thing.
Freedoms should be restricted, for security.
States should be able to take all kinds of precautions in their coverage area.
Citizens should also allow it.

Still, you must be able to agree that their should be a fine line drawn between security and really just pushing the line on getting information on people.
4291  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people believe in religion? on: March 20, 2017, 03:35:52 AM
I do believe in religion because my parents believed me to since I was young. And I am greatful that my parents believed in religion.

We do believe in religion because we believe that God existed.
And peope believe in God because He is the truth.

I would have to say this is probably the overarching reason for a ton of people in the world today, and it's probably going to be the same reason for generation and generation upwards from that time on-wards. People felt and feel like they need to have some sort of purpose in life and religion provides it for them.

You must also put into account that people also feel like they need to have a set of things to achieve in life and a set amount of rules to follow. Most major religions give people some sort of rules to follow with their life and what will occur if you follow these rules.

It's a system that won't be broken now due to the amense amount of power these establishments have built up.
4292  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think there is a world government. on: March 20, 2017, 03:09:52 AM
I don't think their is a government that rules above all like some sort of new world order that is a coalition of nations that want to see one big nation running the entire globe, But I do feel that countries like the US have a hand in everything that goes on in the world and influence the entire worlds decisions on when and when not to do certain things.

This would be the reason in which people think that the US is one of the world bullies in that they control everything in the world. I think that when the US wants themselves to look bad, they do it in order to benefit themselves in the long run.

So, the world government (or gov with influence over the world) would have to be the United States by far.
4293  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sustainability for our planet on: March 20, 2017, 02:16:14 AM
The pollution is a real problem. You should not shit where you eat.  Less intelligent animals understand this.  But somehow humans don't.

Another problem is that our population growth is not restrained.  Nothing on this planet can stop us from reproducing and exploiting the planet.

Even natural disasters do not stop us.  We rebuild and reproduce. We are like a plague that cannot be eradicated.

We need a new planet or things will snowball for us.

Wouldn't really go ahead and say that we don't understand the problems it may cause, I think the real issue is that generations keep passing more and more problems down to the next generation.

They think that it'll be someones problem who isn't them, plus they think that once it is uncovered all the problems that business and such caused in order to save money, the people who ordered these decisions will be long dead and they won't face any type of consequences.

New planet would be nice, I must say.
4294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitlisten - the best bitcoin transaction visualizer on: March 16, 2017, 12:41:01 AM
Pretty cool project but I think it kinda follows the lines of just watching the insane amount of transactions that go through on the network on a site like Blockchain.info. Don't get me wrong it is much nicer then sitting here and just watching this go on for hours on end on Blockchain.info because some music is actually put into the mix, but it's still should have some colors and some other nicer elements in order to push it to the next level.

Maybe some colors to show how big a transaction is, maybe a different type of music that everyone likes. As the music that was put out is kind of horrible in my opinion and more or less bothers me.

It's a nice site though, I'll give ya a thumbs up for a good find.
4295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BUcoin is officially dead on: March 15, 2017, 08:07:00 PM
We were getting a bit too close for comfort with me thinking a hard fork would actually happen and that I'd have to do something relating to my bitcoin, be it buy, sell, or pick a currency to stick with cause you don't know which one is going to end up winning out.

This is great news. I was getting a bit worried a hard fork would actually happen, but looks like Jihan's little nerd dream to be the emperor of bitcoin will not happen. Sorry, Core wins another day, and now $3000 are actually possible in 2017.

What do yall think the sub reddit for r/btc is looking like right about now? Anyone think they're in full damage control to attempt to show this is all bullshit and they'll "fix this" asap.

This is going to end BU forever, RIP that and it looks like Segwit will be able to pick up all the undecided and maybe even someone from Campaign BU.
4296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: March 15, 2017, 11:10:37 AM
I don't think it's going to be possible in the least for someone living their everyday life to use bitcoin at all the stores and such that they use. That's besides the fact of the issues that the bitcoin network faces due to the intense amount of people that are using it now, which doesn't even stack up to the amount of people that are in the world today.

Imagine trying to sell the idea of someone using some digital currency to buy a Coffee which is $5.00 and they're going to have to pay 10 percent (.50 cents) To the network in order to get the transcation to go through in a timely fashion (still not instant)

This person is simply going to ask why can't they use their credit card, debit card, cash, or anything along the lines of that which is going to be an instant done and finished right there.
4297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should governments allow people to pay their taxes in Bitcoin BTC? on: March 15, 2017, 06:11:59 AM
I would pay the taxes, but as long as it's within acceptable range and only charge taxes likes what they usually do with fiat such as charging taxes when we got salary, spend on shop or buy expensive goods.
But, i'm sure government would find a way to keep taxing bitcoiner (in case bitcoin is legal in that country and accepted by many shops) by ask the shops/services to include tax in final/total payment when user pay in bitcoin Roll Eyes

Governments are going to find ways to track people if it means some sort of money is involved for them, if theres no money that they're going to be able to pry from you, you're not even worth any sort of tracking on.

If it came to the point where the government couldn't regulate Bitcoin into oblivion in order to easily gain their money in their own controlled and centralized fiat currency, and the ONLY way they'd be able to make money off of taxes was with bitcoin, they'd adapt to survive.

It's simple, they will do what they need to in order to keep their KRUPT machine rolling. Use bitcoin or not, they're not going to be supporting the cause in the least.
4298  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Freebitco.in launched a new feature. on: March 15, 2017, 05:13:11 AM
I know most people on here wouldn't want to think that such a reputable company would go out and exit scam like this, but it just seems to perfect in order to do it.

The way I see it is if the owner does some sort of marketing blitz in order to get people to join on and put all their bitcoin on here as people are getting paid from it, then later on when they scam isn't getting enough new investors to cover the old one. Boom the site gets "hacked" or some bullshit like that.

It's the perfect scam, though I hope it'll never happen to anyone that puts their money on here.

As I really do think this is a way in the right direction to investing and saving money with bitcoin.
4299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: can I make 100$ in 2-3 month without a base money? on: March 15, 2017, 04:11:13 AM
If you actually go ahead and work for that type of money then I don't even see it as a high sum of money if you're actually putting in some sort of time and effort into the activity. Though, if you're just going to be dicking around and not putting effort into something expecting to make hundreds of dollars per day then you'll be going through a disgusting reality check with not getting a dime out of it.

People on here want an easy way to make money, and the crazy thing about money is that there really is no EASY way to do that kind of thing. You have to find something you're good at and put it to use for the people in the community here for a price if you want to make something out of it.

Sure you can! That is not impossible. At two months you only need to earn $50 a month which means you just need $12.50 a week. Just earning $2 a day means you can already reach your target $100 and you still have $20 to spare. I would suggest you work for it and not gamble, gambling is easy and quick money, but it is too risky.

Still seems like a small amount of money, what type of work does OP think he's going to be doing?
4300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin bring any country on its knees? on: March 15, 2017, 03:16:12 AM
Bitcoin is not going to be able to bring bitcoin to it's knees unless someone who is in power in the country to be able to want this all to occur. Countries that are being led by countries that are competent and care for the survival of their own currency are going to want that to thrive.

They'll edge off any rivals in their way, and in this case, Bitcoin is going to be a rival so they're going to make sure to regulate it into oblivion to make sure it doesn't stand a chance at all.

It could bring a country on its knees If that country didn't regulate bitcoin, If they did then I don't see how this could happen as they will tax it, and make whatever rules they want and since people use exchanges and don't really care about decentralization and their privacy, this is not going to happen. In fact, It's the banking system who will bring bitcoin on Its knees If this continues.

The banking system will just be paying off the politicians in order to make this happen. Going to agree with you on the regulation though.
