4281  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: June 02, 2022, 04:06:23 PM
Jackpot winner? Have to say the first time I've seen it here too, not that I been here daily a lot but I have been around for years. Didn't think I'd ever get to see the daily winner come in after wagering the most in 24 hours.

Come say hello more often Wink

May I ask you if you have made profits thanks to this jackpot prize? Because you usually need to wager several BTCs to win the daily jackpot. But 1BTC wagered with 5% of house edge means you are likely to encounter a loss of 0.05BTC on average (without taking into account RPs, faucet bonus and premium cashback earned). So even with one single BTC wagered you are likely to be at loss if I'm right.

I used to check and it was definitely a good prize return to expected losses... but only if you actually won it. End up 2nd and 3rd and it's expected loss. That was back when I used to check, in the fantasy hopes of one day trying.

4282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: June 02, 2022, 12:45:33 PM
Ukraine was actually surprisingly good yesterday - I really did not expect such a performance.
They were dominant in possession and more dangerous going forward - it wasn't visible that they didn't play football for a while.

They are now favorites against Wales - they are a better team overall. Considering everything that is happening - it would be great to have them in the World Cup.

The final qualifier is on Sunday, in Cardiff.

Hands up for me too, I thought Scotland would take their chances, and Ukraine would play to the quality they had. As it turned out, Scots didn't show up and Ukraine overperformed. Even Robbo admitted they simply let themselves down.

I still would have liked Scotland more to appear but you know how it is with these playoffs, winner takes all.

Such a disappointment, really, and Wales, what were they doing?
4283  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 02, 2022, 07:36:12 AM
Sorry tokes. I said on Monday price would have to stay up for 24 hours above 30k for me to think we might have a shot and another uptake. Of course, it did not only that but go to 32k before losing it all in 12 hours.

It's going to take a few more attempts to break that resistance (I'd say a couple more tries but it has then to stay above that a week or touch 35k).

If not, then it's really just a blink of an eye to wipe 10-20% out and see 24k or so. Really.
4284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: June 02, 2022, 06:08:51 AM
if what I saw on Twitter are real wages for Liverpool players, Mane is extremely underpaid, and that could be a reason to go
his contract is from 2018, and he is somewhere below position 10, when talking about weekly salaries, almost to have whole team in front of him

it is a strange moment in Liverpool right now, great season, two trophies, CL final, point to PL title, and somehow nobody is happy about it, since last two matches were downers in PL and CL

They probably are real, I saw several versions over the years and yes, they're actually all severely underpaid -- if you want to compare against the rest of the teams and what they're paying.

Liverpool do have a wage structure that has been legendarily rigid -- which is why we've always lost out when it comes to satisfying guys like Sterling but I still don't think Mane/Salah are deadlocked with the club based on salary alone. They will want to get paid more -- that's professional, we all would ask to be paid more if we performed well at our jobs.

Definitely strange season. If we'd had maybe ended the season with FA and league cup wins instead we'd be a bit happier. I don't know, terrible price to pay for going all the way. Football huh.
4285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io UEFA Nations League Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: June 02, 2022, 05:18:39 AM
I've put in my picks too, but then these international matches are just always often boring but bet wise too, they're often not gamblers friendly, at least not for me.

I'll be going more with my guts in this pool, because you really just can't tell, but as for my bets it's going to be a lot of Under 2.5/3.5 and maybe a few ML, but BTTS would likely be a no way for me.

Gotta agree, these kinds of games are heaven for bookies. People don't know what they're doing, coaches don't know what they'll be doing, players treat it as the glorified friendly the media makes it out to be.

as soon as i saw the lineups, i changed my 2-1 Wales prediction to a comfortable 2-0 Poland, but it was far from a comfortable win, eh? close game against Wales B team, says a lot about the home team, tbh

and yeah, the scots let me down and my betbuilder lost, i needed one more corner but they couldn't get it, Ukraine were the better side and deserved the win. Wales - Ukraine should be a good game, but maybe not as good as the Spain - Portugal tomorrow 🧐

Scary that we both thought the British teams would have a really good chance. I don't rate Poland at all, not even with Lewie there (he can't pull the team up on his own all the time), and I honestly thought Scotland would do everything they could to play their first WC since when I started watching WC. I'm actually really disappointed by the result, but good on Ukraine.
4286  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: June 01, 2022, 07:09:47 PM
Anyone take that promo up there?
I always lose all my money betting on spins in casinos so I don't even consider trying to get them in some promotions like this, but I appreciate what Fortunejack is doing.
Maybe other people have more luck with spins and better skills than me, and I am sticking mostly on real sport events for gambling and sometimes virtual sports.
Do you have any suggestions for good bets in next few days, it's not easy to find them now?

Yeah, I take spins if given. Never actually put real money on a slot machine, virtual or otherwise. Even was around real ones for years and had friends put spare change in them. Not like I don't buy lotteries either but just never appealed to me.

Good sports bets? I'm a bad person to follow with internationals. I'd go for maybe 3 individual MLs on 5/1 upsets in Nations League... hit 1 and you're all right. Hit none and you're me haha.
4287  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin's historical correlation with traditional markets begins to weaken on: June 01, 2022, 03:41:23 PM
Been kinda saying all week I hope to see it gone, but there's just too much aligning to say that its decoupling.

Price performance aside, trading intensity aside (volumes peaking and falling back at nearly the same pace), even investor behaviour seems similar, as I wrote in other threads... so we're talking about hodlers holding, talking about selloff from short term speculators, talking about regular buyers of the same stock happy to eat up sell orders. All behaving in more or less the same way.

The last big crashes and ATHs too, until those happen in completely different timeframes, I'm not convinced.
4288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: June 01, 2022, 02:22:33 PM
You'll never be loved as much as in Liverpool.
Yeah, I genuinely do believe that too. A lot of past players have talked about their time at Liverpool fondly, and that was without too much success under their belt. Whereas, Mane is going to leave with pretty good success over the years, which ultimately made him even more loved at the club.

I know we're going to say goodbye to Salah, and Mane at some point, but I was hoping we'd be able to at least get another two years out of them both. I actually think overall Mane might be the more important player of the two, however when Salah is on form, there's not many players like him. Salah probably has quite a few years left in him. He'll still be playing when he's 35/36, Mane I'm not sure.

I'm hoping that all this talk is a way of him securing a new contract, since Salah has been pushing for more. If we can get both of them on realistic salaries, I would in a heartbeat. There's not too many players out there right now, that would be a direct replacement, especially when you consider Mane can play across the line.

Yeah. Somehow you get these inklings that you are about to say goodbye. I definitely felt that with Coutinho, but have to admit I actually don't have the same strong confidence of Mane/Salah leaving (just yet).

One more good season. I know they feel they have unfinished business despite winning everything there is to win, the treble/quadruple effort, if done AGAIN this season would put them into the highest bracket and demand whatever they want.

I know everyone says 30 is their past peak but really these guys will play a lot longer, possibly even improve (maybe never speed but definitely smarter and sharper).

Same here too, realistic salaries, yes sir. We've never bent backward to pay demands, and we never should. (I doubt it's TOO much a pay issue though).
4289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io UEFA Nations League Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: June 01, 2022, 07:40:23 AM
Well today i put my predictions, lets see how bad or good can be. I think like buwaytress, internationals are really difficult to know.

For worst its first round after a lot of time without playing togheter in the national team.

Tomorrow i can see how its Italy in "finalissima" against my country Argentina.

I usually like to pick 1st round for high number of goals scored. The least riskiest game for everyone, and no one needs to win it to have a chance to progress, so also like to pick underdogs but the games on offer aren't really worth that kind of pick in terms of odds.

Good luck with Italy. I just answered my own question about Chiellini, seems like he will grace American football next season.

As i said in PM that should not be a problem, a couple os satoshi short payment is really not that much.

I like your idea of placing an extra bet as a way to increase the pool a bit more. If it were up to me I would go for odds of around 50 maybe so it is significant boost or nothing  Grin Go for it, choose the odds in a way that you feel comfortable and give us a ticket to cheer.

Yes, do it! Go for 50x and make it a nice big fat surprise boost. I'm not bothered by 500 sats either. Why don't you use your own wallet though leea?
4290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin long-term holders continuing to ‘soak up supply’ around $30K on: June 01, 2022, 06:24:07 AM
I wonder if it's the same in the stock markets really. Big tech ones like Mr Musk's own is still down more than 50% from ATH (same as Bitcoin really) and if there are stubborn long-termer Bitcoiners soaking up all the sell orders, I suspect the same is happening elsewhere across the board with global markets. Forex, stocks, commodities. Just believers biting down hard and coping.

Many people wait years for times like this. Everything looks "cheap" imo. And there are good buying opportunities everywhere.

The whole S&P is down nearly 15% from ATH.

It is now different than in the pandemic. In march 2020 when the world was closed, the markets recovered very quickly.
Now there is FUD everywhere: World War, pandemia in China, long term inflation all over the globe....

This is the time to be brave, when we see blood and fear all over the place.

This is the time to buy good ETF, Bitcoin (maybe ETH if you like). I would not try some high-risk shitcoin now neither small caps.

Yeah, without really looking (guess Google on this device thinks I'm a guy with money to slosh around and buy stocks) I'm already seeing plenty of news on important figures re-upping on tech stocks down over 50% (didn't know til recently it's a thing to follow politicians and lobbyists buying stocks). I'd wager the very same guys are moving in on Bitcoin too.

They're probably all ready to lose even more if the market turns even further down (which I think it will) but they're firmly in the holder/stacker mentality with future timeframes of years.

As you said, no better indicator than massive FUD to tell you it's a buying opportunity.

Full disclosure: The last time I bought a shitcoin was in 2017, but I DID put $50 into a pure low-cap shitcoin this year, now less than $20 ha ha ha.

^ ^

Only coming late to see my preferred guy won, that's 2 heavy underdogs in 2 days, and setting up the king of RG for an extension of his record (don't think he'll make it though). He'll be pleased it ended up as a relatively short match so he didn't spend everything here, plenty of unforced errors, sharing 8 DFs, but yeah, what an athlete this guy. Definitely gets the Anfield effect though!
4292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io UEFA Nations League Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: May 31, 2022, 04:24:04 PM
Hey guys, ok, so this is where I really do pretty shit, because with internationals, form is impossible to predict in between tournaments and that's generally how I make my predictions. Gut is even worse, because my instincts for teams is probably outdated by several years (I still always favour Turkey for example) and strangely, I might even do better with non League A teams as I was doing well predicting central Asian and Caucasus teams ha!

That said, I remember AFCON disappointing me with 1-0 games all the time. Nations League last seasons were pretty high-scoring as I recall.

Any BTTS values ser Trofo? I have about half my early picks with to nil scores. And only one draw (1-1) for the Italy game. They made me a lot of happy memories in EURO but I wonder if they've suddenly lost their form (and is Chiellini actually still lining up or did he completely retire?).
4293  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — Register on Bitcasino 🚀 100 NFTs up for grabs 🤩 on: May 31, 2022, 03:11:38 PM
Just popped in to chat seeing all the NFT talk going on. Not interested in it myself but I know plenty of people would, so leaning with Kakmakr here on saying there should be a separate promo (wager for raffle tickets with connected ETH wallet and then have a draw).

Better still, have a single NFT drawn up and split into 10 components for all the winners (that's a thing right?).

Oh, and Refiloe Maele Phoolo is pretty cool =D
4294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +82103 units on: May 31, 2022, 01:16:59 PM
I will take a minor break, normally this thread runs daily from end to start of season, but will for sure return for the new 22/23 season with the English Community Shield.

This post marks the end of a fourth tracked season, which ended pretty much as bad as it possibly could with betting almost all profits on Liverpool, who lost the UCL final. A final tally from last season:

Running advantage after 139 bets: +14858
All-time cumulative: +82,959
Running units after 139 bets (17W|122L): +38

This will be entered into OP record. At least we're avoided having one season in the red. See you all 31 July 2022 (early odds are Liverpool 27/10 against City which I already put money on but I'll add the link when opening the new season.

Didn't know I was old hat haha but yeah, been in a lucky streak with SB promos and stuff, don't think there aren't others luckier though, they're just not on the forum. SB pretty much spends a lot of time taking their customers out for sports events here and there -- it's just the footie here that's probably more "global" for the forum to enjoy.

Saw a Turkish league special today, so it's definitely still happening, just perhaps back to the old format of specials going live every few hours closer to event.

Didn't mean to sound like a dampened blanket, just wondering if/when Bitcoin will shrug off the correlation this year.
4298  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holding my horses for now on: May 31, 2022, 08:00:49 AM
Hah, haven't check the price this past 24 hours and surprised, surprised, we are back in the $30k'ish. But nothing to celebrate here, perhaps investors put their money, or shall I say short day traders and speculators, trying to squeeze some profit at this bear market.

As for the DCA, yeah, it's proven strategy already, it has been advised many times and so far no can argue against this time and proven method.

And we've moved to $31k, and probably might attempt to get into the $32k and most likely will end what the week with 9th consecutive candles? If that happens then maybe, June might be a good month after all as we have a break out run then.

That's just bitcoin proving it's resiliency, we might be in a bear market, but from time to time we will see some good bounce back,

OK, fine, so we've held above the line for the full 24 hours I'd hoped for. Not only that, edged up higher into $31k territory (though volatility has racked up a notch now, European market open has caused a near 32 attempt to fall back about $500.

Thing to note though is that stocks have generally rallied as well and some US shares are even doing better than Bitcoin, so this could simply be a correlation thing once more.

Inflation numbers coming, Fed to raise interest again, so we could very well see a tumble.
4299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 31, 2022, 06:31:54 AM
Go figure, huh Trofo, I put correct scores 3:1 and 3:2 on Cilic, and I actually saw the end of first set, was hoping he'd win it, but wasn't expecting to see him get it given to him on a plate with double faults. Bloody hell haha.

Straight set win put me out, and odds on that were actually higher than the 10/1s I took haha.

Oh well, least I avoided the Tsitsi bet too.
4300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Habitual Bitcoin Buyer-Not what you think on: May 30, 2022, 02:49:10 PM
My sympathies and I guess that's one form of addiction that's really hard to describe much less prevent.

It doesn't happen to me just like that, though. I don't buy but earn, and I can tell you in the early days of earning, I'd sell less than I actually needed, a little less each time, leaving off bills and stuff, thinking, hey, I might sell when it goes up, pay those off plus fines and penalties, and have more on the side. Timing my sells really.

Worked out sometimes, didn't other times. Stressful and wish I'd learnt sooner, at least after the 2017 peak, as it cost me a tad more than I'd have had if I kept it to simple DCA.

^ The cash cushion for sure. And that's key, I think. Keep the amount fixed, AND have something in the bank as regular savings.

Trust me, you want to be happy and comfortable, with a regular heartbeat for when you CAN enjoy the next peak.
