My account was 6 months old, but my minimum free roll only a half as before Why site owner decrease my minimum free roll? Please give it back to my account. I always follow the rules. Myfe will no longer be handling the forum support for freebitco.in. TheQuin will be the new support manager so please direct your questions/comments at him.
The reduced free play base rewards is still a work in progress. We have been forced to put in additional protections to maintain our sustainability since there is an ongoing attack of a huge number of bots abusing the free play (most likely using a botnet). All our previous protections have failed against this and any new protections are adapted to within a couple of days. So we have been forced to reduce the free play rewards using an algorithm, specifics of which I cannot reveal as that would compromise it.
I've got a few more details about the reduced awards algorithm I can share with you.
The algorithm for reducing rewards takes a combination of the balance, wager, lottery and jackpot spending to calculate the reward. Jackpot spending has a higher weight (4x) and the lottery has the highest weight (20x).
If you do not want to gamble you can keep a balance above $50 to not have reduced rewards.
Most users will not need to keep the full balance though because their gambling history is also added up to calculate.
New accounts have full rewards for the first 100 rolls to help them build up a history and then the algorithm is applied to them. So opening a new account might seem like it helps but it won't.
Additionally, the balance needed to have no captcha is $100.

Dang, I really hope that the coin that's currently on top doesn't stay there :p I wonder why so many people voted for it. Not giving away any spoilers though. Hope we get more votes for the current second place coin! It's pretty simple, they vote for the coin they want to invest or want to gamble with. We should put personal feelings about a certain currency aside and look at the benefits, like more traffic for example. I haven't voted for "the one" either, but many people did and it's a fair choice if that one wins. Anyway, poll is still open, so anything is possible Oh. I saw Btrash was on the list and just thought it must be an April fools joke.

I am still curious about the "April fool's joke" thing. Can anyone please give me some useful links for clarifications. I am a newbie. Thank you in advanced.

~Translation: Nearly all my posts are lists of tweets in bounty threads so I can't get Merit. Please change the system to suit me.
That's a lot quicker and easier to read and should save everyone the bother of reading the OP.

one more question. if i get 10 merit and get the second coin. will i keep the second coin if my merit score drops 5, if i happen to give 5 merit to someone else? is it recommended to accumulate merit?
You can't lose Merit, once you have it you keep it. For every 1 Merit you get you also get 0.5 sMerit to spend.

For everyone asking about the 30k minimum withdrawal. I've asked wetsuit what he thinks and I'll let you know when he gets back to me.
My personal opinion is that it is not a problem as we also accept deposits. So if you have made 5k from the free rolls you can deposit 25k and withdraw 30k.
As we're adding more coins which are likely to be more suitable than Bitcoin for micropayments, the issue will probably go away then anyway.
Yes, with addition of other coins withdrawals of small amounts will have no issues, but I still suggest you to keep the old name, FreeBitco.in, since it's very well known in the Bitcoin community. For example, The Coca-Cola Company produces not only Coca-Cola, but also Sprite, Fanta, various juices, vitamin waters and ice teas, but after a long history of acquisitions they still keep the famous name. Imo FreeBitco.in stands out among the faucets like Coca-Cola among the beverages. FWIW I agree about the name but I'm not the boss. He wants to get away from the 'free' bit of the name and make it more of a non-KYC exchange come gambling site.

- Politeness was how many times you used "please", "sir", "pardon", "apprecia*", "may I", "thanks", and "thank you" in past posts. This is poking a bit of fun at the people who are unnecessarily polite like this.
'Unnecessarily' polite? This is my first time of hearing that using those words mean that the other person is been unnecessarily polite. Those words are kind gestures and are most times used to show appreciation for services received or rendered. This is a faceless forum and I believe its the only way to show appreciation for any good deeds you receive here. What do you think the world will become if those words cease to be or never spoken. Psychological, gratitudes have a huge effect on a person character. And its not just about this forum but about the world entirely. It's about passing good deeds. I understand that most people are using those words to get favor from the other person but we shouldn't generalize. It means overdoing it. Saying please and thank you isn't unnecessary but doing it over and over in the same post and throwing in a few Sirs as well can be a bit over the top. There's a certain type of poster on this forum that displays that trait.

My reasoning for not doing so was to see if there could be some discussion around this rule, if I was to post then that would alert the scamming user that he'd be noticed, and thus take measures to make sure he isn't noticed in future. Whereas I have pretty damning evidence at the moment, more evidence could be accumulated, and then the user would be more likely to be banned (were such a rule to exist). Anyway, I presume this is why this thread is open, to discuss/ clarify rules.
It has been discussed and clarified many times before. The consensus is that these things are not moderated by a centralised authority (admins and mods) but by the decentralised trust system (the community). So it is something you should report on Reputation board where it will be discussed and dealt with.

Yesterday not less than 172 sMerit was received by the forum administrator TheyMos for the newly introduced system which later turn out to be April Fools. Can one conclude that sMerit sent was a waits?
They were acknowledging that it was a really good joke and a lot of effort went into making it. So not wasted in my opinion.

Hello guys! Anybody here who uses btc deposit at this site?
You mean to say that anyone using this site to get 4% interest on their deposits on this site? If yes then many people are using it but I didn't use it because I don't keep my coins in online wallets for safety reason. This site is paying for a long time so you can decide whether you want to risk your coins to earn some profit or not. Remember one thing that if you face any kind of issues with your account don't expect an immediate response from the site because they are very slow but they have new forum support member he is very active but for some account related issues he also may need to wait for the admin response. Thanks. Personally, I have deposited to collect the interest and also because I hate reCaptcha so much. But I never risk an amount larger than I can afford to lose. Wetsuit travels a lot so sometimes it might not be possible to get hold of him for a few days but if he is available he responds to me pretty quickly. In fact, he's already got back to me about the minimum withdrawal.
The minimum withdrawal also acts a bot buffer. We are able to give new users 100 free rolls before applying the reward reduction algorithm. This allows you to build up a wagering history to maintain full reward. If we set the minimum withdrawal too low they would just get to that amount and make new accounts. We are considering setting the minimum withdrawal to a dollar amount so if Bitcoin price increases again it will not make it any worse. That amount is likely to be around the $2 mark. That's because wetsuit feels that Bitcoin payments below that amount are impractical. Users new to Bitcoin are unaware that by accumulating dust in their wallets they are going to get shocked by the fees when they try and spend it. So it kind of protects new users from themselves.

I agree with Sir InvoKing. Fools Merit was the first thing that came to my mind.

think it was 30k before, not 3k but reducing the fee is a good thing whichever way you look at it sadly,I got suckered in playing Hi-lo and postponed my possinble withdrawal to some very distant future but will keep claiming it ,lazily, just to have chances to win the lottery The weekly withdrawal fee was and still is 3k, you can check it now. We're not making the change until next week. It's the minimum withdrawal amount that is 30k.

In my opinion, this is an April Fools joke from admin. April Fools is a wide known tradition in this world, and i believe it is known globally, not only in one country, but if this system is true, i will be shocked hard.
I don't think it is entirely global which accounts partly for the large number of people not getting it. Then there are those who will always be fooled. I'm enjoying how many are asking what the f in fMerit stands for All of them, including Imagination, Politeness, Virtue, Karma, Coins, fmerits have not shown in my profile. Another plus signal is I have not seen Theymos launched something without detailed announcement about its mechanism. Combined all of them, I believe we have witnessed big joke. Congratulations, take it easy and enjoy fun. Oh, there's a detailed announcement and full instructions to calculate if you will rank up. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3232693.0

And though the fmerit wasn't clear to me yet, and still don't know what "f" means in fmerit, I'm sure theymos or someone else would give us the answer we all want.
One theory is it is a count of how many times you have said 'f*** Merit'. Or it could be fools merit

This new rank system is much better to many users, however how about us who have negative trust? is this new rank system affects to us too?
Yes, it means your negative trust is now far more important because it comes from Sir hilarious&co rather than just plain old hilarious&co.
