4301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Happy day for the miner on: May 19, 2021, 02:54:27 PM
Happy miner s day!

https://etherscan.io/
I congratulate everyone on the holiday of generosity!
I haven't seen such fees on the Ethereum blockchain for a long time.

https://etherscan.io/gastracker
ERC20 Transfer    $105.87   $110.10   $118.25
Uniswap Swap   $325.74   $338.77   $363.83
Due to such commissions, even the pofit does not fall due to the price drop.

4302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which coin I start mining on: May 19, 2021, 02:41:55 PM
Which coin i start mining, is it profitable, my budget is only 1000$.
I just want to take a start.
This is a very small amount, for such a price you cannot even buy 1 witdeocard.
Today is a great sale on the market, you better think about how to invest your thousand dollars correctly.
With a successful investment, you can make a profit of 200-300% by the end of the year if you don't buy shitcoins.

Try it while this coin is more profitable.
I was able to register only on the TradeOgre exchange
4304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nanopool strange payments -appreciate some help here- on: May 16, 2021, 11:03:04 AM
Miningminds is not new, it has a hash rate of 1 TX.
From 09.05 to 13.05 there was a very large commission in blocks, so the miners received a good reward. Then the reward was 6-7 coins per block. Now the reward is 2-4 coins in a block, so payments to miners have decreased.
See block statistics at https://etherscan.io/
4305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PM5.6 failed ETC attempts on: May 16, 2021, 10:58:25 AM
Your computer configuration and what kind of power supply do you have?
Check all the power connectors and test the video card with tests such as FurMark - within 30 minutes.
If as a result of testing there are no problems, then try other miners.
And if this does not help, then you need to reinstall the Windows system.
4306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: When selling your GPUs, do you leave the modded BIOS or revert to the original? on: May 16, 2021, 10:46:53 AM
I once bought a bios modded GPU before and it works pretty well, it's HD6970 years ago and this GPU has BIOS switch onboard but I've tried the switch to see performance difference and I stil find myself going back to the modded bios because it works better for me in gaming and other things
You definitely don't play modern games Smiley Great, games are evil.
4307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: hasharate low for a few days (1070 ti) on: May 16, 2021, 10:45:35 AM
hello, for a few days I have had a very low hashrate about 15 mh before I had 34 mh with my 1070 ti. I am at -50%.

I tried with an old driver from January but no effect, my hashrate is 15mh after 10min.
can windows 10 be the cause of the problem?
what solution to avoid the clamping of nvidia?
Do you have one video card?
If you are using vidnovs and cannot quickly find the problem, then reinstall the system, disable updates with winupdates disabler and install the 2018 drivers
If you are also a mining farm, then use Hive OS or other similar systems for mining. They are updated only at your command.
4308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: chia coin Asic on: May 15, 2021, 02:49:54 PM
Iv'e been plotting for about a month. Started about a week after launch and currently at 60TB with no XCH farmed, but it's all good. Started slowly at first and ramped it up about two weeks ago with my new Desktop 3960X Threadripper build. I'm already at capacity after scavenging all the unused storage I had and even my NAS. New high capacity HDD are OOS or too expensive, so I'm ready to go and looking forward to pooling which should be released soon.

The fact is Chia has been in development since 2018 and the development team has always been very transparent with the project. If you go on YouTube you will see numerous interviews going back years that were given to various tech outlets discussing the project status. The testnet lasted several months prior to launch and anyone that had been following could participate. It's also true that the mainet launch was announced well in advance, so that anyone that was following the project and wanted to participate could have done so. Many early adopters did and now they have been heavily rewarded for it. Regarding the Chia foundation fund allocation, the fact is development teams to launch a project on the scale of Chia cost money and the foundation is governed by strict rules as to how it is spent, which no different than many other successful projects in the Crypto space.

https://www.coindesk.com/5-takeaways-from-chia-networks-new-white-paper

Buddy, with your luck, you need to mine on the pool. I've seen miners who have fewer plots and got a few CHIA coins.
I do not want to participate in this mining, because the network hash rate is growing by 10% per day and the prices for hard drives have gone up a lot.
I read that this blockchain is very slow, and it is unlikely that decent projects will appear on it.
4309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: When selling your GPUs, do you leave the modded BIOS or revert to the original? on: May 15, 2021, 02:40:51 PM
buyers may be gamers who aren't into mining...
What do you think is the best to do?

It depends on the buyer to whom you sell your graphics cards.
If the buyer takes 1 video card, then I install the original BIOS for him. I try to keep all the original BIOSes of the video cards. If you sell video cards in batches of 5-10 pcs, then your buyer is a miner who does not need an original BIOS.
It is important to install the original BIOS when you contact the warranty service Smiley
4310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 2 Video Cards Stopped Working on: May 15, 2021, 02:34:09 PM
For RX 580 video cards, 6-pin raisers are not needed, it is enough to use 4-pin raisers.
These video cards consume 110-120 watts.
The problem may be in defective raisers, but I have not received an answer to my question.
My RX 580 video cards have been working on 4 pin raisers for 5 years. RX 580 is the same as RX 480
4311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GTX 1080 Gaming X MegaHash problem on: May 15, 2021, 01:57:49 PM
Hello,

I currently use 2 x GTX 1660 and 1 x GTX 1080 Gaming X for mining.

Both GTX 1660 run with GDDR5 and 5000 MHz and the GTX 1080 GDDR5X with also 5000 MHz.

Now my only problem is that the GTX 1080 should actually reach 35 MH, but only gets 24.5 MH.

Can it be that my motherboard is too old and does not cope with the GDDR5X, because GDDR5 goes great.

Have the motherboard: ASRock FM2A88X Pro3+
The first way is you use a pill-OhGodAnETHlargementPill
and the following settings
Windows: core +50 memory +450 power limit 75-80
Hive Os: core 50 memory 900 power limit 165
and activate the pill

Or use straps in the miner.
I have a tablet activated in Hive OS

in Rave OS you will also find this option in the settings
4312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia 3060 "Unlocker" for Linux on: May 15, 2021, 01:43:25 PM
Hashrate RTX 3060 - 41 MH
36.3Mh is a very good result if the video card is connected via a pсi-e 1x raiser.
This allows you to mine Ethereum on older motherboards.
Where did you find this news?
Write a link to the source of information. Is your RTX 3060 graphics card connected via a raiser 1х?

Starting this month, each manufacturer will be releasing GPUs with limiters for mining. There are no ways to increase the hashrate on new video cards yet. If you do not know what version of Nvidia you are buying, then it is better to purchase an AMD video card.
4314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 2 Video Cards Stopped Working on: May 14, 2021, 01:25:06 PM
I understand correctly that on your PC you connected these video cards to the pсi-e 16 x port and they work, but on your farm they do not want to work in the raiser, which is connected via the pсi-e 1x port?
Try to connect these video cards through a raiser on your PC, I'm interested in the result.
Such cases are due to a bad raiser.
4315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Curious "issue" regarding GTX 1070ti on: May 14, 2021, 01:16:25 PM
I also have one ZOTAC Geforce GTX 1070 AMP Extreme card and it runs at 5 degrees cooler and its fans sometimes stop. This is because its cooling system and heatsinks are almost 2 times larger than other video cards, for example, ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 Smiley
Very often temperature sensors are faulty
4316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on laptops 247 on: May 14, 2021, 01:07:50 PM
Anyone mining on laptops on here? I'm currently in possession on two laptops with gtx1660Ti on board, I'm thinking maybe I should start mining ETH on them or what? Anyone doing this? Safe to run for 24/7 every day?
You will receive a profit of $ 7 from each laptop per day. If you are satisfied with these indicators, then give it a try.
If laptops are out of warranty, clean the cooling system and replace the thermal grease. Use high-quality thermal paste with high thermal conductivity, it will lower the temperature of the video chip. Use a cooling pad or remove the rear plastic case cover if possible.
do you know what coin that give you 7$ from laptop per day?

Profit is a very unstable indicator. On the day of the post, I looked at the site https://whattomine.com/ and the profit from 1660 was almost 7 dollars, today it is 4.5 dollars. Tomorrow it will probably be 5 dollars.
You can choose not to sell at the current price and wait for better prices, or sell half of the coins at the current price and keep the rest of the coins.
4317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia 3090 and Antminer s19 pro confusion question on: May 14, 2021, 01:01:55 PM
If you look for a nice gpu, and want a chance to get your money back with mining i would
go for a 3080. The 3090 has got RAM on both sides and cooling the backside is the problem.

The 3080 can get up to 105 Mhs ETH and is one of the fastest cards.

I have got AMD 6800s and 6900XTs too. All have the same ETH Hashrate. 64 MHs for 110 Watt to around 150 Watt.

I like the 6900XT more. ( and i am an nvidia fan boy, sorry)

Mine are (always) watercooled so i get the best gaming performance out of both.

For the 3080 i would look for the MSI Suprim.
For the 6900XT i prefer the (watercooled) Powercolor Liquid Devil.

For the best Hash / Watt ratio look for 3060tis or 3070s.
But not that good in gaming.
The main thing when buying a video card is to read the news on the manufacturers' website
https://videocardz.com/newz/galax-launches-geforce-rtx-3080-3070-lhr-series-with-nerfed-ethereum-mining-performance
"According to GALAX, the LHR stands for ‘Lower Hash Rate’. We have previously heard that it might refer to ‘Lite Hash Rate’, but in the end, it shouldn’t really matter, because it means the same thing. What should matter is that the Ethereum mining hash rate has been confirmed to be lowered on these cards."
RTX 3080 LHR: 43 МН Smiley
4318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard for 3 GPUs. Can I use what I have? on: May 13, 2021, 04:33:26 PM
I have 3, 3080s. Don't believe I will be getting more. I have these motherboards.

Can I use what I have to put all 3 GPU's on one MB? Or should I invest in a better MB?

MSI X99A SLI PLUS LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813144100

GA-Z170X-Gaming GT https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/GA-Z170X-Gaming-GT-rev-10/sp#sp

MSI Z590 Pro WIFI6 that is running one of the 3080s.

asus strix b560-g with built-in wifi running one of the 3080s.

PSU - CORSAIR HX Series HX1000 CP-9020139-NA 1000W ATX12V v2.4 / EPS12V 2.92 80 PLUS PLATINUM (3 years old)

Thanks.
You have great motherboards.
The problem may arise as a result of the lack of 6-pin and 8-pin connectors on the power supply.
For your video cards you only need to use 6 pin raisers, sata and 4 pin raisers should not be used.
You may have to buy an additional power supply, just make sure that the video card and its raiser are connected from the same power supply.
4319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I mine etheruem with a 4gb graphics card on: May 13, 2021, 04:26:39 PM
Is etheruem classic the same hashrate as ether?
Etheruem classic will have a higher hash rate and any motherboard is suitable for mining. If you have 5 or more video cards, then you need to buy special motherboards and an expensive multi-core processor so that the PСI-e port speeds are 8x 8x 8x 8x 8x for Ethereum mining.
I'm too lazy to do this for one farm, so I mine Ravencoin (RVN) or etheruem classic
4320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on a Gigabyte UD5? on: May 13, 2021, 04:20:09 PM
I used an even older motherboard and there the pci x1 ports worked fine.
Perhaps in the BIOS settings, you can reduce the port speed so that all ports on the motherboard are active. If the firmware for the latest BIOS version and the BIOS setup does not help, then
The best idea is to ask on the official Gigabyte forum, they have a large community.
