4301  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dilemma: sell or hold with these high prices & upcoming fork on: November 03, 2017, 06:15:18 PM
I would love to further increase my profits at this point in time, but knowing that it's a 900% increase already, there's no point being greedy and cashing out some of it would be the most sane thing to do and keeping a few intact, just in case the price continues to move upward. Having a back up plan is always the sanest thing to do in life, and of course most especially in finance.
Yeah I would cash out ~20% if I was actually worried about losing money. That way the initial investment would be doubled, which is quite nice by any reasonable standard. Have to keep taxes in mind though.
4302  Economy / Economics / Re: Is China making a U-Turn with Huobi? on: November 03, 2017, 06:11:19 PM
Until now, the CN GOV unequivocal opposition the Cryptocurrency, and baned all kinds of cryptocrrency trading in public.

People only can trade face to face, it is legal.
Is it really?

I thought I read that it was illegal but that people did it anyways because the government couldn't really trace it.

I've also read that China was trying to crack down on messaging apps that were used to arrange crypto trades.

What's the real situation now?

Depends on your personality. Most people seem to like Tokyo, but I found it rather boring since it's just another mega city to me. Sure, there's Akihabara (which was quite fun and interesting), but it's fairly small.

My favourite place was Kyoto by far. There's pretty much everything within immediate reach. A modern and bustling city, lots of nature (forests, water, mountains etc.), traditional temples and shrines, traditional housing areas, and most importantly the probably best food in the whole world (insane quality, variety and mastery of cooking). It's especially beautiful during autumn (red maple trees) and spring (when the cherry trees blossom).

Hokkaido is pretty nice during January/February or whenever the Sapporo Snow Festival is. Definitely worth checking out too. There's very little in a human life that gets close to the experience of soaking in a steaming hot spring in the mountains while surrounded by snow.

Okinawa is pretty nice too, islands and beaches with a unique culture.
4304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin reaches a record level, surpassing $ 6,000 on: November 03, 2017, 05:54:52 PM
Bitcoin reached record value Friday, exceeding the $ 6,000 threshold, and reaching a total capitalization of over $ 100 billion, as investors continue to look optimistically at this virtual currency, which exists in limited quantities and which has opened the way for several  ... More

I think much of the current delay to push upward that much is because there is this Nov doubt. there is really nothing to worry about, but there is always that fear there when so many people express their fears and when others purposely push in one direction or another. Either way, there is a great deal of talk, rumors and speculation, and a play it safe trader will choose that time to burrow down a bit and see what happens.

Delay to push upward? We went x6 this year! The stock market takes 7 years to just double on average.
4305  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Well educated nation is the key? on: November 03, 2017, 05:54:01 PM
It's a... um... no-brainer.  Grin

A nation, especially a democracy, is only as strong as it's citizens. A "well-educated" citizenry would be better equipped in fixing their country, making their lives better and yes - less likely to vote for demagogues.
I don't really have a problem with demagogues if they speak the truth and understand the problems of their country. Just because someone is well-spoken and politically correct doesn't mean that they care about their citizens, or even understand what is needed.

The problem is that some people are sleek-tongued snakes. I mean, an example from ancient times would be all the disastrous campaigns Athens made due to the public being blinded by the quest for glory. A politically-savvy and erudite populace should be able to tell whether the promises are realistic.
True. But unfortunately most people aren't savvy enough to realize what they are capable of understanding and what not. And then we end up with nonsense like in the US.

Unfortunately. Citizens have to be well-rounded, or at least fairly knowledgeable of how their own legal system works, basic politics, etc. Even if you have an entire country of scientists, if they think with their emotions when it comes to politics, then that is still no good.
Yeah, Google is a great example of this. It's unbelievable that they actually fired that engineer over an extremely well-written and thoughtful memo. Made me lose all respect for Alphabet.

I've heard about that. Didn't read his memo but the treatment he got is pretty much commonplace now. Disagree and you can find yourself isolated from the group. It goes for both sides of an issue. People keep calling the other side sheep when they have pretty much surrendered to groupthink themselves.
There was nothing bad or controversial in the demo. And all his points were backed up by state of the art science. I guess science is sexist and racist today, at least if Google is to be believed.

I would prefer to stay in a cheap hotels than a luxury hotel. You only sleep at night there and in the morning you go around to see the places that you like. I just need a place where i can take a bath and sleep though. Thecheaper the better 😂😂😂

Cool! That's the way to go in general.

And what if you travel with a nice girlfriend you wanna stay with?  -  In this case your advice is not legit :-)
You could remedy that by spending the savings on a luxury spa weekend if money is a constraint. Wink

Yep! Fancy spa is definitely the Option!

I stayed on Bali, in Seminyak - in a newly built hotel but not too expensive hotel - it was OK, but too noisy each night partying people. So me and my wife, we took spas and massages each night.

And in any other place I'd switch. But with that hotel - the awesome beach was just a few minutes away. I couldn't quit this place - for the opp to ride early morning waves.
I loved visiting traditional Japanese inns with natural spring baths. The food is absolutely incredible too. Can't wait too go again, unfortunately I'm way too busy lately.
4307  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to solve world hunger ? on: November 03, 2017, 05:50:05 PM
How to solve world hunger? I think the government should provide or encourage a lot of businesses in our country to require human labor. When there are a lot of businesses or construction in a certain country, there's also have a lot of employment.
I personally hope that it won't be much longer until robots and AI replace 99% of human jobs. People shouldn't be tied down to jobs they don't want to do. Instead we should use our technological progress to create a world in which people can live freely without having to work, so that everyone can focus on either enjoying life or following their passions.

How about checking the roadmap? DEX announced for Q1 next year.

Have you ever created anything yourself? Doesn't seem so based on your extremely unrealistic expectations.
4309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: November 03, 2017, 05:09:02 PM
Spend anywhere, without fees

The motto that makes me optimistic, make me like and hold hold MCO, I do not care about up and down MCO prices, I'll keep for a long time because I'm sure MCO is a big project that will be profitable.
"without fees". LOL Grin.

So, what is the profit for this project while it does not have any user fees? The price of this token can be high but the devs will need to sell their token instead of make money through their product.

The company still gets money, the retailer pays the fees - not the card user. The problem with MonaCo right now is only that it no longer has a solution to distribute the profits to investors like it promised.
4310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2017, 04:49:50 PM
I read this information last week. I'm not sure, but maybe this is a positive move. Last month, when there were rumors of this issue I did not believe there was no official announcement of amazon but now it is different, I have a little confidence. According to your information, although the spokesman did not say anything specific, but there may be something positive about accepting Bitcoin. But things are still not clear, we need to wait for official information from amazon Cheesy

It's bound to happen. Bezos is a beast and he knows where the money is at. He's also incredibly good at identifying and creating value for people. He knows that we want crypto and he will deliver.

I really wouldn't be surprised if Bezos ended up being the world's first trillionaire in a few decades.

4314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: November 03, 2017, 04:43:00 PM
I never bought any drugs with bitcoin or any other currency. But I saw some site in deep web like silk road, silk road 2.0 which sells drugs with bitcoin. And I think many peoples and mafia gangs buy drugs from them. This  is an abuse of bitcoin.
Drugs being illegal is an abuse of government power if anything. People should be able to do what they want and if drugs weren't illegal there would be no mafia. But the government knows about this and profits off of the drug war while pretending to be "the good guy".

Check his Twitter (the verified one).

Link? I don't follow or use twitter.

Just scroll through his tweets and you'll find him mentioning the coin.

There's no reason to hold tokens if you only care about the card though. At least not until the removal of the asset contract gets officially addressed with a good replacement.

Proceed.
of course I am not a bot, because I am a human being who has normal daily life activities like most humans, I have a family and have a beautiful daughter 6 years old, that's me.
Jokes on you, most humans are bots. That's why almost all humans behave the same. Wink

I get it. I made a top up on Bitwala's card a few days ago of a large amount, won't repeat the same mistake again.

Thank you all for your help! Any comment/advice is much appreciated.
I think you should check your tax code and find the cheapest way to legally cash out your crypto profits.

If you don't like your government for any reason (corruption, tax too high, or whatever) then look for a different country, move there, and pay taxes properly there.

There are some very nice countries with low enough tax rates to not feel compelled to evade them.

And if people moved to such countries on a large scale the rest of the world would have to adapt to suit the needs and wants of the people.
