4301  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Will be the next target of bitcoin in initially of 2021 ? on: December 18, 2020, 01:45:16 PM
I am really dumb this time.
I really expecting that Bitcoin will not create a new all-time-high before the this year end. But this time I will not underestimate Bitcoin. When we are talking $30,000 it is really possible this time, look when Bitcoin reach $20,000 it pumped upto around $23,000. This is hilarious, this kind of price action is something similar when Bitcoin trading around $12,000 - $15,000.
No one really thought that we are going to break 2017's all time high this year so just prepared for the best or worst. $30k now is the conservative estimates, and I'm not surprised if $50k is the absolute top next year or even more.

So let's wait and see, I'm sure majority are super excited because this might the 2017, a super rally that will push the price and start to build the bubble.
4302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin advertising by celebrities. on: December 18, 2020, 01:17:03 PM
I suppose it is more propaganda for Cashapp more than for Bitcoin.
I do not know that actress, but this promotion will be bad because it means that more people who do not know about Bitcoin will enter anything at an absolutely inconvenient time to enter it, and it may lead to many people losing their money.
Yup, this is more on Cashapp though and not bitcoin. But as the saying goes, any publicity is good for bitcoin. And this is not the first time that we have seen this, 2017 was also the time when we see a lot of celebrities jumping on bitcoin and other crypto, specially those ICO's that turns out to be a scam.

The best is to have people explain to people what Bitcoin is while knowing all the risks and leaving the choice for users to invest.
This is the financial side of bitcoin, I do hope though that this time, newbie investors will do their due diligence and not be irrational like 2017.
4303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 17, 2020, 11:15:06 PM
Which means he needs to improve, unfortunately, Giannis is not a good ball handler, he doesn't have the skills like Lebron James who can play as PG. Giannis best chance to be efficient inside the court is to master his 3 point shooting, because if not, he will be so easy to predict.

It's unfair for Giannis that some people want or expect him to do that ball handling, 3 points, or simply a jump shot. It's out of his league. It's even a bonus already for the Bucks that he sometimes does a 3 point shot.

We all know his specialty. He's a Power Forward when he entered the league and he is dominant in that position. Ball handling should be done by his teammates instead. Same with doing 3 points shots. The Bucks just can't find yet a better squad for Giannis.
It's a nice to haves to see Giannis shooting three, I'm not saying that we should expect him to shoot 3's every game, but at least added that to his arsenal. The key here is for Giannis to be unpredictable, yes he is a power forward and needs to penetrate the paint to score. But if you are going to look at the last 2 playoffs that they were eliminate, specially against the Raptors, he was too predictable that's why the Raptors was able to closed him out.
4304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin reaches its highest price since 2019 on: December 17, 2020, 10:57:22 PM
Yes, as much as everyone thought that LTC is long gone and dead, it has it's halving this year as well, and that's why I think the price is going to create another all time high together with bitcoin.

And not just LTC, we might see top ten coins in the altcoin market to reach another milestone next year. The market is really in a bull run so expect this one. And for those who remain in the bear market of 2018-2019 and keep on accumulating, then this is a win-win for you as a investors.
4305  Economy / Speculation / Re: Congrats to everyone for reaching $20k again. on: December 17, 2020, 08:35:12 PM
It's very bullish right now, as if in 2017. Hopefully, it's not the peak yet since the last time the price also peaked in mid-December.
Yes, very similar to December 2017, but I'm sure this is not the top yet. Usually December is like a pump every year, even in a bear market. So there could still be some spike next year, but it won't be parabolic maybe the rapid gains we have in the last 24 hours will continue as the price goes to $23k already. But we all know that after this kind of gains, it won't be sustainable. At least seeing a new all time high for us this 2020 is already a big achievement. Resistance could come along $23k, in my opinion.
4306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why current Bitcoin price pump doesn't get enough media attention? on: December 17, 2020, 08:10:00 PM
It's all over the news,  https://www.aljazeera.com/tag/crypto/

So there's more coverage today more than ever. Compare to 2017 though, wherein it was the first time that mainstream media have heard about it, but currently since everyone is talking about "bitcoin", from average joe to institutions to companies that most of the time it is included in the news like regularly already.

4307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC reached another ATH, what about ETH? on: December 16, 2020, 08:43:59 PM
<$900 for ETH to reach it's previous high, so that is still huge amount in my opinion. So it might take months and I'm expecting that probably next year 2nd or 3rd quarter. As long as we remain bullish, just a matter of time.

Remember that ETH's lowest low is $80 in 2018, that's a significant increased already to the current price. And obviously, with ETH 2.0, we might see a surge next year when everything has settled down, so just be patience and we will reach ATH next year.
4308  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Btc hit $20799, what is the next move ? on: December 16, 2020, 08:11:37 PM
Well, it's obvious by now, bitcoin has no ceiling, it can hit $25k tomorrow, if can go down again. What's interesting is that institutions and companies are banking on bitcoin as their reserves, meaning not just us, average joe's but there are a lot taking notice of bitcoin now, including billionaires hedging their wealth maybe cause of government's quantitative easing.

So as I have said, next move will be a stable price of $30k or least, a growth that is sustainable and continue to spike next year.
4309  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Electrum site and download Pinned by Google Ads! on: December 16, 2020, 07:37:01 PM
Google is acting like a faucet recently. The faucet does not care about how shady ads will be displayed on their platform, And now google is not caring about the ads what is displayed on their first page top. we don't expect this from a platform like as google.
Not just recently, I think it started way back, it was just magnified today as bitcoin is on social media, scammers taking advantage of it by creating fake and phishing websites, and then used Google, or shall I say pay Google to have their sites on page 1 thru their ads. Very easy method for this criminals with the help of Google for them to earn easy money by trapping newbies, in this case the well known Electrum wallet.
4310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $20 000 BTC. We did it on: December 16, 2020, 07:14:11 PM
Yeah, 2017 all over again, remember those times wherein when we break every price, there's a lot of threads about it. But this time its very different, as we achieved a new all time high, $20k++ now. And for those who are here in 2017 and have seen the worst bear market after that, this really feels something special.
4311  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fury vs Joshua --- who will win? on: December 14, 2020, 07:57:08 AM
If ever this fight push through, I have Tyson Fury winning this fight, simply because he is the better all around boxing than Joshua. Good jab, long, more boxing IQ, play good defense, move like a lightweight for such a big heavyweight and has a good chin and good resume. While Joshua has been beaten and upset already, chin not solid and Fury's jab is one of the biggest, second only to Wilder. So I think with good timing, even a jab will back track or get Joshua down, in my opinion.
4312  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitamp Bitcoin Web Wallet - Send & Receive Bitcoin Instantly! on: December 13, 2020, 01:14:16 PM
I check the social media that comes into my mind, Youtube and found just two videos:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2q-UoKKXqI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9Eh-1ZAEjQ

Although I saw some banner in coinmarketcap, Bitamp and the team really need to ramp up their marketing if they wanted to get more exposure and be on top. Although the project is still less than a year old, but maybe we need to more exposure in other social media sites as well.

Marketing costs money, as I'm sure you know. It's not that the project is averse to spending money, but startups need to be wiser about marketing and not just spend limited resources.

We'd rather organic users like you guys hopefully use our wallets more and more, and talk about it more and more, and like it more and more so you start recommending it to people.

Thanks for your feedback though guys!
Yes, I understand where you coming from, you are working on a limited budget so it make sense. Perhaps I was looking for an aggressive strategy.

I like the idea of being organic and really crypto users find the wallet useful to their liking and fits their need.

They need to level up there wallet in to a mobile version before they need to start an aggressive marketing. If they want that to happened, I think they need to add the mobile version of there wallet to target the majority of the crypto user especially on crypto wallet market. A wallet means you can easy access just like 1 tap on the app then you can transfer easily funds.
Yes, that what I'm trying to say, a mobile version is really wanted. But as far as marketing, they've mentioned that their hands are tied because of limited budget. They have been using this community to promote their site and it seems very effective I will assume, that's why they continue to have their signature campaigns for many weeks now.

Web wallet and windows wallet is not that famous because there's a lot of danger on accessing it. User are prone on different malware that can exploit there wallet. A banner in coinmarketcap.com is not that reliable on getting a real user, Most the people using coinmarketcap is not clicking ads and also, many scam project already put ads there so I believe CMC doesn't care what project being advertised there.
We can't really say if CMC banner is effective or not, they are the only one who can judge its effectiveness. But base on what I observed, I'm seen many projects uses CMC because we all know that it is one of the most go to sites and that's why Binance purchase it. So it might be a good marketing strategy after-all.
4313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Base protocol trying to rip bounty hunters on: December 13, 2020, 12:09:53 PM
If this is true then you better file a scam accusations against this project and the bounty manager. You have to present all the facts, like screenshots and everything so that it will have a good case against them. But base on what you said, this is not the normal protocol to run a bounty program. Everything should be transparent. On the contrary, if you find this very disturbing then I will immediately quick this bounty and move somewhere else.
4314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Three weeks to the year end - what will be the high? on: December 13, 2020, 11:32:12 AM
I remain optimistic and voted for above $20k before the end of 2020. Although we might see the volume as weak, but just today we have broken $19k and at the start of next week, everything might change to the upside. So it we break reach $19,500 resistance and go slice it without any resistance, maybe we have a bit of luck and see the price goes off to $21,500 3rd to last week of December.
4315  Other / Meta / Re: 10 years ago Satoshi made his last post on: December 13, 2020, 10:50:05 AM
The anniversary for last post of satoshi on the forum helps bitcoin rise to above $19,300 and tries its another round to break $20,000. Any coincidence?
Probably, but we all that there are a lot of coincidence in this forum,  Grin. How time flies though, in my case I was wondering what I'm doing that time during that faithful day 10 years ago. Ah, I still remember, that what the time I started going into traditional based gambling casinos.

The anniversary brings a good time to read Satoshi's lesson as one of way to remember of satoshi contribution and his time on the forum.
Yes, and probably regardless of time or what, it is also worth to read his post and how everything started.
4316  Economy / Speculation / Re: So contrary to the Cult of Hodl, apparently at highs, people don't hold? on: December 12, 2020, 11:10:19 PM
Someone's going to sell the top and someone's going to sell the bottom.

I assume the metric is just coins moving? If so $20Bn sounds quite optimistic for bitcoin throughput... Most healthy traders/investors might preset targets at which to sell and some might have bought in Dec 2017 and are waiting to profit (less likely especially with $20bn but a few M mightve been held until people woke up to the ath being passed).

Not all are just holding their Bitcoins, there are some who sell too and it's nothing wrong with it
I don't think there are many of those who bought at highest peak in 2017 and still hold and if there are they are probably losing patience now.
No matter to that we all know that Bitcoin is most profitable at long term so those the most patient will be rewarded.
Yes, that's one possibility, those irrational buyers in 2017 who hold and think that the price will continue to go on parabolic rise, unfortunately the market went bearish, so they don't have a choice but to hold or lose their investments.

That's why when we reached ATH again, it make sense for them to sell at least to get break even and then strategized again. That's a long hold and I would say rewarding because they got their money back.
4317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the most important thing in the development of a project? on: December 12, 2020, 02:47:18 PM
In a project everything must be prepared.

1. The team is experienced in technology so their concept will be good if it is experienced.
I disagree, there could be startups that doesn't have the experienced in the beginner, but they learn the process through trial and error.

2. Funds must be prepared because building a project must have funds. Do not rely on funds from the sale of ICO / IEO. It will be difficult if the project does not develop.
Again, many startup doesn't have money in the beginning, that's why they need to run and ICO or fund raising.

3. Products must be prioritized because the project has a goal on the product so this step must take precedence.
Of course, you are selling a product here, that's why it should be unique.

4. Good marketing and can build a community with many who are interested in the project.
Yes, that's why they need to hire the right person here.

5. Do not underestimate tokens at the entry into the low exchange because it will anger the investors.
I'm sorry but I don't understand this.
4318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Moloney vs Franco III: Ordered by WBA (No date yet) on: December 12, 2020, 01:58:26 PM
I think it is fair that Moloney is given the chance again for the belt. And I would agree that it was a clear as day robbery. And Franco's team know the rule book that's why they didn't go and fight after round 3 an he will retain the belt.

Moloney was ferocious when the bell rings in the first round and it was clearly his jab that causes the big swell and Franco is losing the fight as he was at a disadvantage. And it's good that it was ordered by WBA for them to settle it in a trilogy.

4320  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning: Bustabit phishing site on: December 11, 2020, 11:22:31 AM
Its easy to recognize if we look closely to the url but it can deceive  those users who use google  search and didn't pay close attention to the link they are clicking to. And this kind of warning posted here is a good warning for users who almost  forgot to check the site they mostly visit since  these phising site are just here waiting for the victims to locate and victimized them.
Even the URL of one of those phishing site is really hard to recognized because it is a homograph attack, so it's not that easy in the beginning.

Yeah, we have to take users who posted this kind of warning because we will never know if we are going to see this phishing site if we search bustabit through Google, (although not advisable, but still maybe there are some members who get get away with that practice because that's what we used to do).
