4301  Economy / Speculation / Re: FUDs be damned - BTC moving up again on: March 03, 2021, 02:07:08 PM
$43k was the bottom and now Bitcoin is heading back up. Expect new ATHs later this month. Maybe we get next correction at $80k?
I have noticed that in every price correction there will have a strong spike on the market. I couldn't think it was the FUD's helping people to be more aggressive in buying back or the FOMOeng is really making the possible.
Quote
Maybe we get next correction at $80k?
Yep, maybe. But that was close to possibility than overly thinking about $100k within this year.
$100k is really high, I can't tell if people will still have the courage to take the risk or just to find another form of investment.
4302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge profit but how to withdraw on: March 03, 2021, 01:25:57 PM
the solutions are many and just as easy, first leave them in the usdt and get a wirex-type card and change a little just for use, second use hand swaps/change or ATMs, third make transfers through exchanges

Or better yet, if he has a friend, relative or anyone that he can trust outside of his country, who is residing in a crypto-friendly area, he can ask a favor to convert his crypto into fiat. And then send the fiat to him, of course just pay his friend for the trouble. Also, hope that he can find a friend who is familiar in dealing with crypto.
That could be the best option, otherwise, OP has to wait until the time that crypto is welcome in their country.

Banning, not allowing people to use and trade their cryptos, are some reason why some people are not quite interested in crypto anymore. How could have the sense if we just ended like this, unable to withdraw. It just like we are throwing our money outside.

I can imagine how OP is mad for his situation. May He have friends outside his country to make a favor so he can also benefit from the hard work he put on his investment.
4303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: March 03, 2021, 12:52:01 PM
We have some big game tomorrow.

Jazz vs 76ers.

Jazz playing the best season but 76ers is also a tough team.
Per betting odds, Jazz is the favorite, which team do you think will win, and why?

Please share some thoughts.

76ers will win this game as they are playing on their home court. Jazz is good but I like to cheer on the 76ers as Embiid is playing and he will have a good night. I am just assuming though because I know Embiid is unstoppable even with Gobert's long arms.
4304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders - May 8 on: March 03, 2021, 12:12:04 PM
Based on the posts in topic, no one again believes that someone can beat Canelo. Looks like Canelo should move to another division or even skip one to find proper contenders. Or stay in his middleweight +/- 3kg division and beat everyone for second time. Bored with Canelo, gonna cheer for Saunders this time Cheesy

Lol, there is nothing we can do about it as Canelo is a gifted boxer and does not take anyone for granted, this is one aspect where he excels above the rest.

Team Canelo has a plan of unifying all the belts in this weight division if they came out victorious this May and I think that is very achievable at this point of his career.

ctto

How many divisions has he cleaned up, 4 or 5? I think only father time could beat this guy.

Don't know he fought cotto, that guy is my Idol but he is not on his prime anymore, I think the fight happened after Cotto was defeated by Manny. Anyway, I think Canelo's win streak will continue, he keeps knocking the door to knock the one inside that door, hilarious.
4305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Major Risks in Crypto Business on: March 03, 2021, 09:01:58 AM
1. The major risk as for investing in bitcoin would be its volatility. When people hear success stories of people who have profit in bitcoin ignores this fact.

2. There is no way to avoid volatility for bitcoin but you can reduce the risk that you will take through buying ans holding it. Desiring to day trade will put you more into risk.
Indeed, right? But, I actually love how the volatility works for us, it helps more than what we think. Volatility is not a thing we worried about, what we worried more about is to miss this opporunity because there is no coming back. We might not able to see 1BTC= $10k or $20k again in the future.

People might afraid of this, maybe they should afraid if there is no movement on their investment. Because the truth is that, there is money in this kind of trend, up and down, it gonna be easy to manage if we are not emotionally affected to it.
4306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: March 02, 2021, 10:13:44 PM

They bet randomly and have that reasoning that it's just for fun and doing it for the sake of nothing.

For fun but doing it for the sake of nothing?

I don't understand, if we like to have fun in sports, we should know the sports we are betting in the first place.
I doesn't make sense to me and honestly I think that's a very stupid way of betting in sports, no one would enjoy that in the long run doing that style.

As for me, I fall in love with sports betting as I'm a sports fan in the first place.

Hell yeah, no Saunders fan here but it's better if there's a poll so those who doesn't like to reply in this by posting can reply by voting.
Canelo looks so unbeatable, so it's hard to bet against him at this moment, though Saunders is undefeated but Canelo should be in a way higher level.

I'm betting on Canelo here also.
4308  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quit My Full Time Job to Trade Cryptos Full Time on: March 02, 2021, 02:48:53 PM
In the past month and a half i've made over 100k arbing different markets and developing a very hard-to-beat strat. I submitted my resignation to my full time job last week . Wish me luck.

Long live crypto.  Cool
I think everyone will say Good luck (and I did) and why? Is that because trading is a big challenge and of high risk.

Losing our stable job is a big sacrifice we did to our life. We already have the financial security and ain't that simple living for a thing that we never get 100% assurance to make good rounds every day or have lost our money. But sometimes we have to sacrifice something just to get satisfaction and to achieve our goal. Yeah, who knows exactly if we even get more in trading than in our full-time job.

4309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I convince people that Bitcoin isn't a financial pyramid? on: March 02, 2021, 01:23:08 PM
I don't convince people to invest and know about Bitcoin but I just tell them that they are wrong. It is either for them to believe it or not, well, it is not my problem anyway. Because I know that they will come back to me soon and ask about crypto.

People who will think negative will always be negative, they never see the bright side because they are focusing on the dark side. It is really hard to convince this kind of person and totally a waste of time. And all of the good things we do for them are also a waste of their time. We can only make a change to their mindset if they will listen to us and have their interest.
4310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Longest transaction confirmation time? on: March 01, 2021, 11:32:17 PM
I am very cheap with fees. I've been waiting since Feb 16 for a BTC transaction that I sent from 1 wallet to another. The fee was 8 sats/byte. I'll report back when it confirms because this is already a record long (13 days)
Your transaction fee with 8 sats/byte is quite low, presumably that during the days you'd make a transaction is a peak day of the mempool network.
However, it barely happens that the mempool network will drop transactions, it's commonly be confirmed but it will take approximately 2 weeks for you to wait.  Just keep trying to accelerate your transaction using Bitcoin accelerators, it might help if you get lucky and I suggest using ViaBTC as I have heard, they owned mining pools.

Let us know here if ever your transaction will beyond 14 days.
I used to pay 25sats but still, it takes longer to confirm. That much longer if we only pay 8sat, but probably 14 days is not enough as the fees for now still high.

What I can suggest to OP is to increase the fee( last option), 35-40 sats is fair enough for the miner to prioritize it but of course, it can't be instant confirmation, we still are expecting hours. This be easy when using an Electrum wallet.
4311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain adoption on: March 01, 2021, 11:07:07 PM
feeless is needed if we want to see mass adoptions in blockchain technology. right ?
because if the fee is very high its impossible for all sectors to adopt this technology
here some nice article to read
https://cointelegraph.com/news/going-feeless-is-the-only-way-to-enable-blockchain-adoption

what do you think guys ?

It is really when this situation will be kept. Fees are not favorable to our ends and those small scales investors will likely not choose crypto, they choose the stock market. If this won't have a solution and the if this is a contiguous problem, I'm not surprised that many people will step back and leave crypto.

This is a big challenge now and I hope Vitalik will take action ASAP. We can't move ERC20 now, you pay $5-10, which is a big amount for those who keen in terms of profit gain. Because if that only $1-2, and even you just transfer a token worth $30, that is acceptable. Bounty hunters are crying for now, and I feel them.
4312  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to sell BTC: $80K, $100K or $150K? on: February 28, 2021, 01:58:57 PM
What is the top price that you may think bitcoin will reach this year?
Many Bitcoin holders now are selling their Bitcoin, I may that they are already satisfied with the current price.

How about you? I'm not sure if you're following them as I know it was not your target price. You will think about selling at $80k (at least), well, I'm not discouraging you to do it and wait for that but tried to be practical enough. Coz if you are already that 100%, 50% gain, I think that will be enough, IMO. Actually, you can still reinvest if you want to.
4313  Economy / Speculation / Re: ARE WE STILL BULLISH OR BEARISH ? on: February 28, 2021, 01:41:45 PM
The hype is over. so we can expect it be bearish.
NO, it is not the thing we should look into if we think about the bearish season. Might be the hype is over but the market still in its good position. We saw declines but that is just a normal and possible case to happen as volatility showed.

If we account the people who only invest because of Elon, we can say that some of them blame btc for losing their money as they've probably the ones who invest when it is in high, then the sudden dip so they're not coming back. If that's the case, it will go down and down as long as musk don't make a tweet.
I don't think it is a need to blame others because we lose because, in the first place, it is our decision to invest, nobody force you to do that. If Elon Musk encourages people to invest in that because they believe that Bitcoin will give them a profit but unfortunately, the situation doesn't give them a favor. And we are going to lose neither if we don't sell our Bitcoin.
4314  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc dump today and yesterday on: February 27, 2021, 10:25:06 PM
There is nothing to wonder why we have this NORMAL kind of scenario, pumps and dumps have been here for so long, and most likely, it is not a thing to worried about coz it surely will come. If we saw the declines in the past next to Bullrun, still we can experience it this time but if we take a look at the chart, the market remains high. Not even to see huge correction unlike what we experience last 2017.
4315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Insane Gas Fees on: February 26, 2021, 10:31:28 PM
That was the problem with the most right now, they can't move their ERC20 token because of the huge fees. If you are moving a huge amount of money, maybe that could still compensate you in the end but if that is just a small amount, that is really insane. Maybe we don't have to force it.

For your case, I'd rather not move it. The fees are not really acceptable and that be considered a loss on your end.
4316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: February 26, 2021, 03:23:15 PM
XRP and doge coins are currently added to casinos due to the higher fees of bitcoin and ethereum. The fees are much lower and the value of the currencies is increasing due to higher demand the doge coin is supportable in many places and how much it will pump will depend on the choice of the people. However it is coming soon that these coins will pump a lot and all gamblers will choose the doge and XRP.

Doge has not even reach 1usd, so there's nothing to worry on its fee as even if the price will increase, the fees are still acceptable. At least this gives us an option to use altcoins when bitcoin and ETH blockchain fee is high, this will save us a huge expenses on fees and our capital in gambling will not be reduce a lot due to high fees.
4317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao offered $10 million to fight Terence Crawford on: February 26, 2021, 02:48:48 PM

As for pound for pound ranking in https://www.worldboxingnews.net/pound-for-pound-boxing-rankings/

Manny is ranked number 7 while Terrence is at number 6.

This ranking is for 2020, and since Pacquiao did not have a fight he falls in the number 7 but in terms of ticket sales and pay per view sales Manny has an edge on some of the fighters here, I'm surprised that Erol Spence is on top way ahead of Crawford, if Manny pulls up a win he will likely end in the top 3, or even take the number one spot.

In some of the articles I read, Crawford is rank number 1, I guess that was already outdated, or maybe it's the correct information. In terms of selling the fight, Manny can always sell the fight because he is a superstar in boxing, everyone knows him and he also has a huge fans all over the world, so in any venue, it's guaranteed that it will generate money.
4318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling Weekly on: February 26, 2021, 01:27:00 PM
Hi everyone,

Do you guys think gambling could be one of the main catalysts for Bitcoin becoming more widely adopted?

Thanks!
We could not deny ho gambling gives a boost to crypto adoption. As the number of gambling sites growing, the more it drives crypto exposure to the gamblers and that is what we are now. In fact, most gambling sites now are accepting Bitcoin and some altcoins aside from accepting fiat money. We know the benefits of using Bitcoin in gambling and that we easily make a deposit unlike of we do in fiat. But we can't deny also this also makes people become more addicted to gambling as they can do it anytime, make a deposit anytime.
4319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is only high demand causing the long transaction time? on: February 26, 2021, 01:06:35 PM
More often to see a bottleneck in the Mempool when the market started to drop. Maybe we could think about the higher demand of selling but as we have observed in the past days, we are currently experiencing a long time confirmation. I've been waiting for 8 days before I got mine and this will also matter on the fees we set on, I put it on the minimum and that will be the reason it takes so long.

Because everyone has a huge concern about the high fees, we will have to lower it down but as expected, it also has less priority than those who pay a big amount. That is why we don't wonder why it takes days before it confirmed.
4320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who controls the bitcoin price? on: February 26, 2021, 04:51:09 AM
I don't think there is one specific answer to your question... It's probably the big market players - exchanges, whales, investment funds... All of them know a lot more than we do...
And they are capable enough to manipulate the market. It was the claims before where whales did the pump and pump scenarios, and is still visible this time, so we can still expect this will never have an ending story. But we can't deny that they have an important role in the market and because of these people (manipulators) we are able to see the volatility really working and a gaining tool for everyone

Bitcoin is not a 100% decentralize coin but at least we are not just like those centralized coins that we no longer have a chance to reach $50k, $100k, or even more.
