OK, this is the fight that we all have been waiting for Canelo, another legit challenger in Billy Joe Saunders. BJS is solid in all area, well rounded, technically sound and I think he will give Canelo one hell of a fight here, more competitive obviously against Avni Yildirim. Canelo himself admitted that Saunders will be a difficult fight for him.

But I will still give the edge to Canelo here, probably by decision.

More competitive indeed but i'm with you here, i think Canelo would overcome this hurdle and they are confident that Team Canelo would unify all the belt in this division as they are already looking forward for a fight against Caleb Plant this September  .

Does this division lack the competitive fighters or it is just Canelo who have superior skills above the rest?

I would say that Canelo is far more superior that the rest of the fighters in this division. After Callum Smith (which he defeated already), Caleb Plant, and Billy Joe Saunders are the only two name fighters in this division. Unlike before when they have their own version the Super Six World Boxing Classic years ago, it was pretty stack up division with Andre Ward (eventual winner and champion), Carl Froch, Arthur Abraham, Mikkel Kessler, Glen Johnson,  Jermain Taylor, Andre Dirrell, Allan Green. I think this bunch of super middleweights are the most stack up fighters we have seen in this division in recent years.

Canelo Alvarez and Billy Joe Saunders will be one hell of a fight but i cannot bet against Canelo Alvarez because of the form he is in. His body shots against Yildirim were nasty and he could not go beyond the third round as he had enough and Canelo Alvarez never got punched in the fight and with the way he is fighting it is going to be one of the best fights this year.

No doubt about that, however, fans would be more happier if he can fight Triple G this year, it's going to be the biggest fight this year if he will allow that. I guess there's no problem with the promoter, it's just up to him if he will open an opportunity to Triple G to fight him.

Based on the betting odds, you can tell it's another easy win by Canelo.

Interesting, after that fight against Yildirim which ain't give anything for the fans, seems that he's just warming up and his opponents just continue recieving his punches,.

But with Saunders, maybe it will be a different story, though Alvarez still expected to win as based from the betting odds Saunders is the underdog.

Saunders   have an impressive 30-0 W-L records,  While ,  Alvarez Total fights :58,  Wins :55,  Wins by KO :37, Loss :1, Draws :2
Experienced wise, Canelo have a lots of it and his killing instinct is really far superior than Saunders.

Let see if this two fighters will give some entertainment, a real fight that both fighters are throwing solid punches and determined to K.O one another.

I am looking forward to that fight. The last bout of canelo vs yildirim was pretty underwhelming because canelo was totally dominating and it seemed that yildirim didn't have a chance at all and it was just a matter of time until yildirim was beaten.
May 8 is not that far away so i am a little concerend that there are only a little bit more than 2 months between the two fights for canelo. The last one wasn't that exhausting for him though so it should work out.

Yup, the only logical bet here is how Canelo would win this one as he is 99 percent sure of winning.

ATM, no odds for Canelo via Decision and Canelo via KO but for sure bookies will give that kind of market.

Some of us here wants to see Canelo fight GGG but I think it's kinda late for the latter as father time has already caught him and surely he will lose in the trilogy as Canelo is at the peak of his career now while GGG is on the twilight.

Saunders is solid and well rounded but Alvarez is one perfect fighter, I become a believer after the Callum Smith fight he has fought a flawless and a perfect fight, to a fighter who is considered to be one of the best puncher and attacker in the industry, if Canelo can maintain that condition Saunders will be in big trouble.

Yes, flawless fighter which seems to have no weaknesses so far. He has a good chin and nobody can crack it, not even triple GGG in their two fights. In paper, it looks like Saunders has a chance to beat Canelo, but I highly doubt it as well. It could be more competitive, but the end result will be the same.

Canelo has fought fighters like this in the past, like Fielding and the latest Callum Smith. For sure, Canelo can maintain or even elevated his condition and beat Saunders by a majority decision.

Ahh the coincidence of this fight happening on my birthday! This will definitely be a gift for me to watch another showcase of Canelo's raw skill, power, and evasive reflexes in his fight.

As per the records of Billy Joe Saunders, he is undefeated (30-0-14) but his KO rate is relatively not that impressive. This would be more difficult compared to the recent fight of Canelo but I will still be rooting for him in this fight.

Canelo's last fight, I betted on win by decision, and I lost because it was TKO with Yildirim.
Now, will be betting again on him, but win by KO this time, even at low odds.
Since the fight is just right after the other, he can easily go back to training.
If Canelo will win again, I believe he will get another fight but hopefully to another division.

Because the competition for Canelo here is not there, even the champion in this division cannot match Canelo. That's why bookies and fans here see this fight as still Canelo even though that Saunders is a real test for him.

No one can touch Canelo at this point, maybe he can go as high as 175 lbs again or go down to 160 lbs and have a trilogy with triple GGG. But to clean up this division, after this he should set his eyes on Caleb Plant, unify all the belts in the 168 lbs.

The profit when you bet for Canelo is small but if you are a high roller, 17% of your money is already a good return for 1 fight. That is, if Canelo is a sure winner.
