4301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Ledger or Stellar? on: June 28, 2021, 10:27:01 PM
With some situation that someone who owns bitcoin wants to save fees, they're going to exchange it to exchanges first then transfer it.
I think it depends on where they are keeping it. Whether they are on it in the following
  • Hardware wallet
  • Exchange wallet

Definitely, in a hardware wallet, it's going to double in fees, unlike if it's already in the exchange, it's only a one-time withdrawal fee if you ever put it into your wallet. Fees are such a killjoy.
Yes, if your balance is found in the exchanges. That's easier to use any of them if you want to save from those fees.
Yeah, those fees are are a form discouragement whenever we're going to send but it's needed and we have to support the ecosystem of any crypto that we're going to use for transfers.
4302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At what point do we confirm the long term aspect of a project is guaranteed? on: June 28, 2021, 09:57:07 PM
I think bitcoin is already successful because of the huge community that it has and there's already a country that had adopted it as a legal tender.
But that success doesn't end there because there is going to be more use cases and adoption that shall come in the future.

Yes, a decade has passed and bitcoin is still standing strong.
So for me, bitcoin actually accomplished a lot already and the adoption that we are experiencing today is just the start.
The question of the OP is quite vague though. But I believe, what bitcoin accomplished today is more than what Satoshi was trying to achieve for this invention.
The use case of bitcoin is still growing so the long term aspect in terms of adoption is continuously happening.
It had accomplished a lot and we're not yet seeing the full potential that it can do. If satoshi can see wherever is bitcoin right now, we're sure that he's proud of his creation and what's with bitcoin today. Yeah, it's more than what he wants to happen for bitcoin.
But, it's also going to the other side for being a store of value and I guess he had expected it to happen.

4304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC down , does the altcoin will keep strong on: June 28, 2021, 09:05:19 PM
We saw those times that some altcoins didn't really care whenever bitcoin goes up or go down. They have their own market share but sometimes the market sentiment, they're not going with it.
Unpredictable markets for both bitcoin and altcoins and this what really happens. But no matter what the share that the two have, it always ending up with your portfolio having bitcoin which is always the best type of portfolio to include with.

Only for short/temporary bursts, especially in extreme bull or extreme bear conditions. Monero always tried to have its own way, for example, and this is a sign of it being its own niche utility (for private transactions) and ETH the same for smart contract and dapp utility (although this is all defi credit now we have to admit).

But Bitcoin is still crypto and still what most of the world recognizes. If BTC does well, it's only good news for alts. And the converse is true as well.
Yes, bitcoin is like the starter of the market. If it's doing well, then the other cryptos will also end up having the same good day. We've seen it many times that whenever bitcoin is in bull run.
Then, it's making the same as the altcoins too to. Their season is coming after bitcoin's bull run and usually they're also going with bitcoin's season altogether.
4305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC down , does the altcoin will keep strong on: June 27, 2021, 11:39:07 PM

It's not always the case. The opposite also happens sometimes and we cannot know what shall be the next move whenever bitcoin goes up or goes down.
The pattern is unpredictable because it's always been like that. Bitcoin is up, alts are up and sometimes they're not correlated and the pumps for alts sometimes don't go with bitcoin.

Yes mate there are also some altcoins that didn't follow on the market dropped of bitcoin on time but gradually it decreases its market demand too and it seems that these altcoins were really affected whenever the market price of bitcoin made a slide down. But there are also some other altcoins that doesn't much affected by the market dropped of bitcoin , there are also some independent altcoin the even the market is sliding down it really not affected that much, some altcoins were stable in the prices some also are not. But this is only shows that Bitcoin and altcoins both have the unpredictable market, some are correlated with bitcoin but there are also other altcoin that is not.

4307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Ledger or Stellar? on: June 27, 2021, 10:59:09 PM
I second this. Whichever is available and comfortable to you, that's the best or helpful to you. I believe XRP can be another option if you can use it with cheap and fast transactions and I do believe the same with Stellar. But if I don't want to convert into these coins then I'll simply send the crypto that I have in its own form and I don't have to convert it first with any of those altcoins.
XRP is good for small transaction to save transaction fees. Why I don't recommend XRP if you want to move a big fund?

Even it has fast transaction time, you are at risks of news and FUD that can be from SEC and regulations. It can be dumped 50% or more shortly if SEC makes a news on Ripple. It happened in the past and might repeatedly appear in the future.

If you move a big fund, use Bitcoin, not XRP or any altcoin. Save a little fee if you are moving a big fund is not matter but the risk is big. If I have 1 Bitcoin, I won't save $10 or $20 from transaction fee and take risk with XRP.
I agree they're all good for smaller transactions but since I don't have both of them and I got bitcoin, I don't want to convert it first with those altcoins if I can do it alone on bitcoin and save lesser fees. The fees for bitcoin transactions lately became cheap and that's why there's no need to convert into those.
I think he doesn't need to convert anything if he buys it directly like that though. Some exchanges allow that too.
With some situation that someone who owns bitcoin wants to save fees, they're going to exchange it to exchanges first then transfer it.
4308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next better altcoin? on: June 27, 2021, 10:39:21 PM
At present many new tokens added coinmarketcap. How I find a good and valuable token. I am afraid to buy a new token to see my family background. Can I continue trading or stop immediately or find a better altcoin. Please give me a suggestion. I want to earn more money for a better future.
Study the market, as long as those new tokens are very liquid then invest but that doesn't mean their liquidity will stay for long. Most of the new altcoins whether added in cmc or not, they're not staying for long because there are more investors that are going back to the reputable cryptocurrencies. No one can stop you if you want  to stop or continue or whatever you want to do. You're the captain of your own investment and capital
4309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My opinion on Ethereum 2.0 on: June 27, 2021, 10:19:40 PM
There really are pools that will provide opportunity for those people that has small amount of Ethereum. You can join them later if they're already in operations or I think they already are in the test phase.
We'll see how much actually is going to be the amount of potential profit in staking and I'm not that excited anymore even it shows up.
4310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: YOUR FAVORITE GAMBLING? on: June 27, 2021, 11:12:33 AM
another cute and nice game, with many friends.. is bingo in my opinion
but depend by leader of bingo, if caller of numbers is a kind man, is very funny (one or two times)

anyone play at bingo with friends? is very funny (i test it)
I've played bingo and it's a fun game when me and my friends played it before physically. I don't know if there are some websites (not casino) that can play bingo with friends.
Like creating a room and adding password and only your friends can access on it since you're going to give them the password for that room you've made to play with them.

4312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Ledger or Stellar? on: June 27, 2021, 09:54:31 AM
I believe that it's still best to choose what you are comfortable with and feel in because both coins have the right goals in mind to make our lives easier to transact.

You've made another thread about a different topic. I think you should make the title specific with your question.
To answer - What is a 51% attack and how is it prevented?
4314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC down , does the altcoin will keep strong on: June 27, 2021, 08:52:53 AM
When bitcoin rises,  altcoin will dump as well.
4315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the likely-hood of a better privacy coin being created? on: June 27, 2021, 08:26:44 AM
As of now, the best privacy coin for 100% privacy is without a doubt Monero. My real question is what is the chance of a better coin being created for privacy somehow? I want to invest in monero as I heavily believe in it but only thing that concerns me is if something better comes.

Anyone have any opinion on this or theory? Monero is truly private and fast and secure but something could top it maybe?
That's the same thought as bitcoin during early days and even until now. Just buy Monero and hold it. Don't think too much about replacing it by  a better privacy coin because there are too many of them. You just have to hold it and if you think that something new and better comes out, you buy the newer ones. But as long as you don't see it right now.
4316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to the coins after your death ? on: June 27, 2021, 07:52:41 AM
Just make a testament or will whenever the time comes to you. If that won't work, teach one of your family members how to make wallets and how to recover wallets.
That will suffice your worry but you have to be sure that the person you'll be teaching is trustworthy.
4317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you stay calm during a Bitcoin free fall. Losing my mind HERE on: June 26, 2021, 06:42:08 PM
Almost do nothing. It's still hitting my emotion when I see the price fall but I just got used to it. Since last year, the price of bitcoin is still better and you have to think of it to have that positive thinking.
When you stayed here for long, these falls will be nothing to you eventually.
4318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk made tweet about animal coin again. Time to buy doge and Shiba Inu? on: June 26, 2021, 05:58:55 PM
Remove all of your hopes with Elon Musk. He's just going to break your heart even more painful. You just don't depend all of your decisions to his funny tweets.
being hyped like this is scary.
what if due to such action it burst like a bubble
a lot of people is just getting hyped and can be a major cause of a bearish run
Elon must be stop from doing such things
and his follower should stop getting hyped
That's true and it's a sad truth that many still can't move on.
4319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No One Can Shut Down Bitcoin on: June 26, 2021, 05:27:46 PM
I agree no one can turn off bitcoin now especially now that there are countries that have legalized bitcoin. This is one of the shocking news for the development of bitcoin so for now I don't think there is a loophole to shut down bitcoin.
Some have given a way but those are just possibilities if something really has to happen as such.
A catastrophic dooms-day scenario on earth that shuts down the internet would be the only way the bitcoin network would be "shut down" but this is realistically outside the realm of possibility at this point.
Yes, that's one possibility but the chances of it happening is below to zero point and a decimal percentage.
4320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Eyes on BTC Dominance! on: June 26, 2021, 04:57:53 PM
Checking on it right now and it has increased, the dominance now is 46.6% and as far as I remember. The last time that I've seen it, that was just around 40%-42%.
IIRC.
