4301  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: July 17, 2022, 09:17:22 AM
So currently the price is $20,880 as per preev. Just want to put it here just a place holder so that we can go back here when we hit the next bull run. Maybe that time we will be in the 6 digits and finally the S2F model will be vindicated, hehehe. Very cheap price and we can get a hold of it and then what the title says, HODL. There is no secret sauce here, just the old and traditional way of investing and have a lot of patience.

Whether Bitcoin surges to six digits or not, Plan B's S2F is a predictive model based on a flawed assumption. The limited supply alone won't cause Bitcoin to surge to, and over six digits. But if we reach it during the next bull cycle, I expect PlanB to be more imsufferable. Hahaha. Plus you said it, there's no secret sauce. We can't outsmart the market.

Well he will obviously adjusted it already, to fit a perfect model so that it will be the target again, hehehe. Yep, in the years that I have been here, (early 2017, seen the bull run then bearish, then the cycle repeats again), I would say that we can't outsmart and fight the market, the pattern = true again, so now we are in a bear market and it might take years again before we can fully recover and yeah, 6 figures will be the target next.
4302  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chasing a x330,000 - Update: i hit it! on: July 17, 2022, 08:41:07 AM
I have no idea why so many gamblers feel they achieved something big by hitting huge multipliers even though they won small amounts. Makes sense in gaming(Achievement hunting), but doesn't really make a lot of sense in gambling.

They are just purely numbers at the end of the day people. Anyway, to each their own as they say.

Yeah, I guess the feeling of chasing that huge multipliers to the OP, that's his goal in the beginning so good job for him hitting that.

As for us, of course we don't always chase that, we wanted wins, regardless of what multipliers who want. As long as at the end of the day, our bankroll is still intact with some win then good for us.

Perhaps though we will see another "experiment" a another chase.
4303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 16 on: July 17, 2022, 08:12:04 AM
I say just average performance by Ryan, sure the power is there, but I think Davis has more power than Ryan. He doesn't have that head movement, he just keeps coming straight. And if he fight like that against Davis, who is very cerebral in the ring, for sure he will get knock out by that. It's a win though so no question about it, but it's just a so so performance and everyone expected that he should knock out Fortuna which he did.

I think under Goosen, he learns how to tuck his chin now and becoming more of a body puncher. The first punch was a fake head shot and then Fortuna covered upstair, so Ryan go down and hit him perfectly, so that's good if he can developed that and not head hunting first at least to throw his opponent in the beginning.

As for the Tank, Ryan said that he is no longer going back to 135 as well, so if there is a chance that a mega-fight between him and Davis happen, it will be in this weight limit now and it's up to his camp whether to accept it or force Ryan to 135 and drain him.
4304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 17, 2022, 04:46:53 AM
Ouch, anyway, it is what it is, so I guess we can say that we won't see Westbrook in Lakers uniform. Probably the same toxic environment as what Kyrie's situation in the Nets right now. And even though there is an assurance from their new coach that he will be in the starting lineup, Russ still wanted out of the Lakers. So, is he going to Rich Paul?  Wink

Not much detail is released to the public that's why we are ended up in speculations

The term "'irreconcilable differences'' does have many possible answers and if they tend to keep behind the doors, we have to leave it that way

Regardless if Westbrook will be traded or not, the Lakers are still Lakers. It's even better for me that WB will stay and do the experiment one more season as I'm sure WB is already used to playing with the Lakers even if it's just one season.

New acquired players, new coach, new system - they don't need another for it as chemistry will be in question again.

True, it's all speculation right now, him and his agent has been working together ever since WB joined the NBA if I'm not mistaken, but it is what it is. Maybe we really don't know what's the real reason behind, but it was just shocking news.

For sure we want him to stay with the Lakers and see how it goes with the new system. And who knows, maybe it will work, maybe not.

LeBron really tore it up in the Drew League today.  Putting up 42 and 16 against the mostly amateur competition.  Pretty amazing that he's still able to dominate like this at his age.  Looking like if he can stay healthy next year will be another big one.

4305  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin soon returns to $25K - $30K on: July 17, 2022, 04:08:02 AM
I voted for Neither, it'll be balanced. For me that is going to happen as we're definitely on the bear market although we have some sort of recovery around the mentioned price.

I also doubt that FOMO will set it to offset the sellers or more buyers will appear in the market. And with the global recession, perhaps investors are still reluctant not just in crypto market but in other traditional market as well.
4306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 16 on: July 16, 2022, 11:59:54 PM
Ok it was revealed the Fortuna is the one who asked that this fight be in 140 lbs because he has only 7 weeks to prepare for this fight, so fair enough.

And so Garcia obliged, but he said that he may never fight at 135 lbs again. And just what we have been speculating, him and Davis could fight at 140 lbs at obviously he can't make weight at 135 in his 2 fights so far (including this one).

Does anyone have an idea of where Matthew Wright plays?

I have read on my social media newsfeed where coach Topex announced right after their blowout win against Converge that it was Wright's final game in the PBA.

If indeed this was true then it could be that Wright will be playing in Japan B-League where rumors came out last year.

He won't be playing somewhere else. I stumbled upon that news literally just now on my Facebook newsfeed and the caption was, Matthew Wright will leave the country for the long-postponed plan of his wedding on the 24th in the United States.

Since I was curious, I searched for some links to share here. I think the news was already spread out in PH local sports news.

Wright plays Phoenix farewell game ahead of long-postponed US wedding

Good, I thought that his departure will mean that we might play on the other big leagues around Asia.

Yeah, it might be difficult for coach Topex to re-adjust but for sure he has plans already with Wright's absence. I think the team is still solid and who knows maybe they can found a new gem within the team that will elevate his game even more to cover what they are going to lost in terms of point production in the absence of Wright.

I guess some of those government as authoritarian by nature.

So what do you expect? the central power lies in the government and not into the people. So obviously they wont' allow the people to have control when they go and be in crypto, whether investment or hedge or store of value. So all the reasons you mentioned that this government are not going to allow boils down to one thing: greater control of their population.
4310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 16 on: July 16, 2022, 09:22:47 AM
So here is the official weigh-in,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-0UQTA-Ifc

As expected, both making the weight, although others might find it surprising that this fight is not on 135 lbs, but 140 lbs.

Against Tagoe, there is a catch weight at 138 lbs if my memory serves me right. But this time its a full 140 lbs now for Ryan.
4311  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: July 16, 2022, 08:36:34 AM

4312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 16, 2022, 08:11:11 AM
@Baofeng. If Teofimo Lopez vs. Pedro Campa is the main event, can you also include the other fights in the list for this whole event? Brandon Figueroa vs. Carlos Castro was a fight last week that we did not discuss because we did not know it was part of Vargas vs. Magsayo hehehe.

Yeah, for sure mate, so far from what I gather there is a also a co-feature event.

rising Puerto Rican star Xander Zayas vs Elias “Latin Kid” Espadas.

And in the undercard:

Andres “Savage” Cortes vs Abraham Montoya
Duke Ragan vs D’Angelo Fuentes
Troy Isley vs Victor Toney
Jose Enrique Vivas vs Edy Valencia

Maybe the undercard will be updated if there is some addition.
4313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 16, 2022, 07:48:18 AM
Russell Westbrook just fired his longtime agent who wanted him to stay in LA and finish his contract. This is leading to speculation that Westbrook might be open to a buyout and a new contract, which would obviously mean his agent taking less money. I’m sure Westbrook feels like his situation in LA is toxic and he’s willing to do whatever to get away, including giving up money. I guess him and his agent couldn’t agree on that strategy. His agent released a good statement about it. Worth reading…

Ouch, anyway, it is what it is, so I guess we can say that we won't see Westbrook in Lakers uniform. Probably the same toxic environment as what Kyrie's situation in the Nets right now.

4314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kazuto Ioka vs Donnie Nietes II on: July 15, 2022, 05:08:23 PM
Before the OP lock the thread:

Donnie Nietes To Continue Forward, Reacts To Loss in Ioka Rematch.

Quote
“I lost the fight on points, and I felt that Ioka did not want to try and deliver a knockout win for his fans and was just happy to win the fight on the scorecards,” Nietes told Probellum.com

“I was not able to put as much pressure on Ioka as I would have liked.  I was waiting for Ioka to move in and throw his shots, so that I could hit him with my big counters, but it didn’t happen often enough.

"I was defeated but, without question, I can still fight for word titles again.”

So it seems that Nietes is looking forward to continue his boxing career. I don't know if this is a good idea, but only him can answer that. As far as his performance, it seems that Father time has really catch up with the former champion though.
4315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gamers want to use crypto in the Metaverse? on: July 15, 2022, 04:21:07 PM
According to Globant, 34% of gamers are interested in conducting crypto transactions in the Metaverse, while 16% have purchased NFTs in the past.
Fake.
Anyone who spends at least 10 minutes in any popular gaming forum or discord server knows very well that every gamer (probably 9 out 10) in the hates cryptos, especially pc gamers cos they blame miners for the GPU shortage and the massive price increase in gpus (because the demand is so high)
i do believe the NFT part, a lot of companies in the gaming industry took advantage of the NFT hype with tons of marketing and made bank

This is also the first thing that comes to my mind, I mean how can we verify the result of the survey itself? And why would the gamers be interested on crypto or metaverse.

And the same reasoning as yours, since the bull run of 2017 and then followed by the problems with AMD and other makers of GPU having shortage because of crypto enthusiast buying them in bunch for rigs and to mine crypto, there seems to be a hate relationship between this two industries.
4316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: July 15, 2022, 02:52:53 PM
Most gamblers that I know is very superstitions, so yeah maybe FengShui and Gambling works hand in hand. And Feng Shui has spread out, so it's not just a Chinese thing anymore, even the West practice it because it can bring good luck because you are trying to attract positivity through those arrangement to have balance and harmony. And of course keep faith that we will be lucky once we enter those casinos.
4317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 16 on: July 15, 2022, 11:11:54 AM

This could be good to see if Fortuna will pursue and man his words, surely a toe-to-toe fight is what the people wanted to see and we will see if Ryan have some improvement this time.

I hope so because that is the only way for this to be an entertaining fight. Ryan Garcia is surely the heavy favorite, but who knows, upset could happen in boxing anytime, so it's not a guaranteed win by Garcia if Fortuna will show that he can match the skills of Garcia.

Upset is very slim on this fight because if indeed it would happen then it will be over for Ryan Garcia's career, I mean he would start from scratch as he doesn't have the ace to call out the champions of his division. I do think that he will be careful in the first few rounds and see if Fortuna's power would hurt and if not then he would go all out in the second half but i do hope that Fortuna would survive the onslaught as i'm leaning towards a Garcia win via decision @3.25  Cool.

Or over 7.5 rounds will be a good bet to begin with, hehehe.

So if by chance the fights goes into the full 12 rounds because of Fortuna on his bicycle, then you will hit both of your bets.  Grin

I still haven't put mine yet though, nevertheless, I might tail you on this one.
4318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 15, 2022, 10:28:53 AM

I believe PPV sharing is probably the main reason why they haven't come up with a deal yet. Spence's previous PPV buys are a little better than Crawford's. Spence also has more belts to offer in the division but Crawford is the only ATG of the two.

There's no other reasons, Crawford here has to agree with a small share because Spence will not agree with a 50/50 share.
he has more belts and he has a better PPV record in the past compared to Crawford.

We get it, Crawford is also a champion but Spence have proven enough based on the numbers he have.

However, Spence versus Crawford might be the biggest payperview revenue in the history of boxing. It might be more than the payperview numbers of Mayweather versus Pacman. It would be very stupid for Terence Crawford's team to not demand a share equal to Spence's share.

I'm not sure about this, Mayweather vs Pacman did 4.6M buys, that is hard to crack. Although that Mike Tyson vs RJJ did a decent numbers in the pandemic reaching around 1.65M.

So I'm guessing maybe around that numbers or maybe it will be as high as 2.0M but nowhere close to even Conor vs Floyd or Floyd vs Oscar Dela Hoya.

4320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Online Gambling be Banned? on: July 15, 2022, 09:22:02 AM
The pandemic really brought out the best of online games whether fiat or crypto base and it really balloon to a billion dollar business even in the pandemic. Other traditional land base casino's too have to go to online because no one can go to their casino's obviously.

And yeah, there are pros/cons and this debate can go over and over again. So it's up to the government, whether they want to shut down online gambling for good, but it will take a lot of effort from them. As for us, obviously we already made a choice, we love to gamble, whether online or offline, whether we have to be entertain or have some fun or target to win big.
