Barcelona is building up their team with a young blood so it is a good support for their progress if the young blood help them to win matches with small clubs. Such results help young players to increase their confidence and in difficult matches, they can be able to get more lessons with support from legendary teammates. I was torn between putting my money on Sociedad or Atletico Madrid today and decided on Sociedad. They looked good against Bilbao and hopefully they will start building winning streak today. Popularity is not a factor to decide total positions for one nation (and its national league) in Champions League or Europa League. The net results of all clubs from one league (in one nation) in both Champions League and Europa League in some latest seasons will contribute to the score they get. Then the score will decide their ranks on the table and the corresponding positions in Champions League and Europa League. Bundesliga has better results than Serie A and took over the position of Serie A in latest seasons. Serie A's clubs are trying to come back but they have yet succeeded with the mission. The main issue is, can Barcelona finish on Top 4 by the end of the season? If they keep playing like this, I doubt they can finish on top 4 but for sure Barcelona is still a big team with many great players so I think it is just their bad time in La Liga especially there was no Messi last night and it shows that Messi's effect is still so big to Barcelona.
