It was in fact a solar eclipse not a lunar eclipse that just occurred, I was mistaken. ![Lips sealed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/lipsrsealed.gif) edit: The solar eclipse actually occurs on Aug 21, 2017. I'm not having a good day. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif)

How does this show that I'm an idiot? Please do explain.

What kind of activity? Making prank videos to fool gullible people such as yourself? Yeah, it's pretty widespread. It's part of joint effort between the Freemasons and the Bavarian Illuminati to distract conspiracy theorists from what they're really up to. This tactic has proven quite successful so far. Also, my sources inform me that your veggie dog problem is unrelated. The Freemasons deny all involvement and the Illuminati are still annoyed that they didn't think of it first. The video shows a girl being murdered, what evidence do you have that it's a prank other than the official statement from CERN?

https://youtu.be/-ZNiGMZH-2AIf this kind of activity is as wide spread as the conspiratists suggest then it's no wonder why veggie dogs contain up to 10% human protein. Apparently the guy who filmed this is dead.

It's very strange topic, cause when i started read it, it was funny but i am here for 2 mins and i have terrible headache, cause i'm reading bullshit ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Please be specific, what exactly is bullshit? I claim: 1. Rockets don't work in a vacuum. 2. All rockets are either detonated or land in the ocean. 3. Outer-space is a lie/hoax. 4. SpaceX is fraud and Elon MUSK is a liar.

You guys are joking, seriously. How can you tell me space does not exist, look up the sky at night, see the stars and tell me where they are located - somewhere in the clouds? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) There's a nickel-iron steel dome with a reflective golden oxide coating on it several thousand miles above our heads. The stars are small lights that circle within the dome.

^ Thanks for the tip (corrected), good thing I'm a rocket scientist and not an English teacher.
There's an area up there where they hang things called "satellites" from weather balloons. This is as close to "outer-space" as it gets, everything else is a lie or a hoax.

Martians Might Be Real. That Makes Mars Exploration Way More Complicated![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.freedomsphoenix.com%2FUploads%2FGraphics%2F533-0808052603-ffmars-rover.jpg&t=663&c=vqN1gIBdhBULMw) One day, while comparing different satellite images of a single Martian crater taken at various times of year, he noticed something odd: a set of dark streaks in the soil that grew in the Martian summer and shrank in the winter. They seemed to flow down the crater's slope, like a spill.
It took NASA a few years to gather more evidence after the student made his report, but finally, in September of 2015, the agency called a big press conference. It confirmed what the undergraduate had suspected almost right away: That was water in that crater.
Back in the 1970s, NASA scientists had informed everyone that the Red Planet was a dry, barren, dead place. Whoops. Now a new generation of NASA scientists were on a dais in Washington, DC, musing openly about what this new finding meant for the odds of discovering life on Mars. "When you look at Earth, everywhere we go where there's liquid water," said Jim Green, the agency's director of planetary science, "we find life." And the Martian water wasn't confined to that one crater wall. Once scientists knew what to look for, they found similar dark streaks at more than a dozen other sites. The agency's Curiosity rover was actually within striking distance of a few of these streaks. "We might be able to visit," Green said. The announcement made headlines around the world. It also set off a bunch of quiet changes within the space agency itself. How silly can you get? You want evidence of a NASA hoax, and these movie people who are there for their own purposes, are recorded and shown as though they were making a hoax. Rather, it is you believing a flat earth hoax. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) No, he matched the background on Devon Island with the pictures NASA claims are from Mars by visiting Devon Island in person and filming it. This is a proven hoax.

I live near Chicago and have been to the Michigan shores several times. If you attempt to view Chicago's skyline from Michigan's shores, sometimes you won't see the skyline at all and sometimes you will see it to varying degrees. The apparent height of the skyline changes with atmospheric conditions. People have taken photos of the skyline from identical locations and the apparent height of the skyline changes, hence this is a result of atmospheric refraction.
Nice try but it's refraction that prevents one from seeing Chicago sometimes. First it was a mirage and now it's atmospheric refraction. What's next, are you guys going to claim it was space aliens from outer-space with their holographic projector?

Is the $60mm from Bitfinex being used to pump ETC?
|
|
|
Apparently the hacker was selective and only certain users had their BTC stolen.
|
|
|
ETC has no plans for development other than keeping it going to pocket new crypto users money. Development like resolving the compiler bug that allowed for the DAO hack and theft to occur.

When you look outside of the window of a plane, if you are high enough, you can see the curvature of the Earth. Having seen this first hand, I think it justifies the roundness of the Earth without relying on third-party info.
There is no curvature, so don't know what exactly did you saw. Can you provide us proof or evidence that can back up your claim? Like this: Commercial Airliner USA LAX to Frankfurt Germany 5,800 mile trip NO CURVATURE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jB5YwfUcdWI LAX to PHX Where is the Curvature https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Nbg00TJqJoThere is also footage from concorde, no curvature, high altitude balloons, no curvature. Actually tons of them, all without curvature. There are a reasonable number of videos and stills that show the curvature of the earth from high altitude. Many are listed right in this thread. Why do you want a repeat? ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) It is faint, I had to hold up a straight edge and could distinguish a very small gap. You need a very clear horizon, and no you won't be able to see it just by eyeballing it. I have also send up a weather balloon for a science experiment in undergrad and the footage from 100,000 ft clearly showed the curvature of the Earth. 1. Don't use a wide angle lens next time. 2. Pictures or it didn't happen.
