4321  Economy / Economics / Re: [LIST] Countries that own bitcoin on: September 21, 2021, 04:52:15 PM
The list is far larger.

United states have already seized some bitcoins from criminal activities, which they own now. I think that it is also likely other countries are doing the same:

I also found this link from Investopedia, whcih mentions United States, Bulgaria, Sweden and North Korea as hoarding bitcoin.

Imho, it doesn't make sense to include those countries on the list of those just because they temporarily own some seized  bitcoin as they will sell it off anyway, like they usually do with the seized stuff. For all we know, some of those countries may sold it already.

But yeah, I think it's way too early for lists like this.
4322  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Top Lista Reportera on: September 21, 2021, 07:27:35 AM

Vec si trebao skuziti dkbit98 i njegov nacin zajebancije. Cheesy
4323  Other / Meta / Re: Top reporters on: September 20, 2021, 11:56:44 AM
Those first few have some crazy number of reports, keep it up!

Considering how less active I have been for the last 4-5 months months I must say that I am surprised that i ended up being in top 10. Then again, it means that not many people are bothering with that anymore which is not a surprise as reporting is usually a thankless job.

As @The Pharmacist said, maybe its time for some badges as that would certainly boost the future numbers.
4324  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Goldario- ponzi scheme promising 200%+ profit! on: September 20, 2021, 11:08:13 AM
Hopefully they stop doing this BS and move on and do something legitimate. I feel bad to those people that bought when the pump happened and at the same time doesn't know about Goldario and how they are a pump and dump scheme, this is what they get for not doing some research before investing.
To be honest, I don't feel sorry for them because it was bound to happen as they are led by pure greed and nothing more so if it didn't happen with Goldario, it would happen with something else.. What I hope though is that they learned the valuable lesson and will avoid similar mistakes in the future.
4325  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Goldario- ponzi scheme promising 200%+ profit! on: September 20, 2021, 06:34:28 AM
This is almost a year old accusations and I am pretty surprised and appalled that they're still doing fine and at the same time has been able to pump the prices. I wish that no one has fallen for this scam so badly.
Yep, they are still alive and kicking, but I dont think that they are doing fine. ICO price of GLD was 1 USD and currently it's around 0.07 USD which is a 93% drop, meaning everyone that invested got rekted badly. Add on that all those that bought GLD during that pump when price went up 1000% and you got quite a few people loosing their money over this scammy project.
4326  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Found Hal Finney? on: September 20, 2021, 06:22:23 AM
Anyway I'm quite interested in finding out who satoshi wasn't, in my much longer effort to figure out who satoshi was.
I think that majrority of us at some point contemplated and tried to "figure out" who Satoshi is (me too) but once I realized that bitcoin creator being anonymous is one if its strengths, I stopped with that.

Regarding Hal Finney, I wish he was behind Bitcoin, but unfortunately I don't think that he was.
4327  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Countries Where Bitcoin Is legal or banned. on: September 18, 2021, 08:10:46 AM
Where is Nigeria? I could not see Nigeria. Bitcoin and other decentralized currencies are banned by the CBN in Nigeria but not by any of the three arms of government (legislative, executive and judiciary), especially the legislative arm. The rate of bitcoin and other crypto adoption in Nigeria was never negatively affect by the CBN ban.
There it is, i don't know how you missed it. Still baffles me though that Bitcoin has such an undefined status in Nigeria despite the popularity, unfortunately, instead using this to improve your country and maybe attract more capital with favorable crypto laws.

Countries where Bitcoin is neither legal nor illegal

- Nigeria: In Nigeria banks and other financial agencies are not allowed to deal with cryptocurrency but bitcoin have not been targed legal or illegal in Nigeria.

Edit: OP beat me to it by 20 seconds
4328  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Goldario- ponzi scheme promising 200%+ profit! on: September 18, 2021, 07:55:52 AM
Goldario is a digital share based Token, which is going to Launch today in Crypto Exchange on 15th September, 2021, the block processors were not a hefty scheme or committed as profit return with 200%, Goldario had always mentioned it as an extra benefit or reward to earn for token holders until Token Launches in Exchanges.
Nice launch at the XT.COM by the way lol. By the the looks of it, you performed classic pump and dump which I am not surprised you did. After all, you hired thread bumpers t fake the interest in yoyr yur project (thread has been deleted now but archived version can be found here https://ninjastic.space/topic/5234514.

Healthy and organic looking chart, no questions about it. Cheesy

4329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My hardware store now accepts Bitcoin! on: September 18, 2021, 07:42:45 AM
Well, welcome to the club, mate! Smiley Let's hope we were both wrong, and all those merits and good wishes were well deserved by OP. But implementing Lightning Network within 24 hours with "4 different persons"? I wish it was true. At this pace we'll be using Lightning Network all over the world in no time! Smiley
Yep, the bolded part is a major red flag. as we all know how rarely Lightning Network is used. I know bunch of people in real life that are into crypto and maybe 2-3 ever bothered to test LN, let alone bough something with it(talking about people that are into crypto for 4-5+ years, now some newbies) ,and now OP sets it up in his store and basically the same day 4 people used it to buy something.

Pure bs if you ask me, but as we can see people are happy to hear anything positive  and not stop to think whether it makes sense or not.
4330  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: September 15, 2021, 06:35:45 PM

4331  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: September 15, 2021, 11:59:20 AM
Dream team 100%. Smiley

4332  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: September 14, 2021, 06:02:49 PM
Cestitke nasoj dvojici glavnih lokalnih spammera na ulasku u novu kampanju!  Grin
4333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How has Bitcoin Changed your life? on: September 14, 2021, 03:31:59 PM

Damnnnn, the sassssss.
The very first post on this forum, and you are promoting crypto exchange (wrapped up in a thread) and yet you get offended by being called for doing an obvious thing. Hell, you even said it by yourself that you are Coin Corner marketing executive. You are just doing your job I guess...but much learn you must, young padawan.

4334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How has Bitcoin Changed your life? on: September 14, 2021, 03:18:40 PM
lives change when you have some BTC and its price shoot to mars. if you only have few, your life still change since you have something to watch out and pray for the price to go up.

coincorner is a philippine btc company, what is your role there? kaibigang naomi, any position available to apply for?
Her role is to promote Coin Corner exchange on bitcointalk via opening threads on Bitcoin discussion board and engaging people. By the looks of it, she is succeeding in her role Cheesy
4335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My hardware store now accepts Bitcoin! on: September 14, 2021, 02:59:44 PM
Well, that would be very unfortunate if you were right, but I'm afraid that was exactly the case. The guy was last active yesterday here, but he didn't respond to any questions in this thread.

I didn't give him any money or merit, and yet I feel scammed in a way.

Please, OP, prove I was wrong.
Another interesting thing is his merit history and the only account (so far) he sent merit to, newbieexcro. Check his post history and you will find some similarities like @excro claiming to own small electronics shop, while wnet owns hardware store, both applying to same merit giveaway threads almost one after the other etc.

edit; reading this post again, bitcointalk got me really paranoid. I mean, I am naturally suspicious to everything, but this this forum brought me to a completely new level Cheesy

4336  Other / Meta / Re: Did you notice that forum have fewer trolls in 2021? on: September 13, 2021, 05:47:19 PM
If we take a look at stats in last few years we can see that usage of that word is also declining compared to year 2020, 2019 and especially 2018.

Year 2018 has 23,431 mentioning of word scammer.
Year 2019 has 16,982 mentioning of word scammer.
Year 2020 has 14,052 mentioning of word scammer.
Year 2021 has   5,384 mentioning so far and we only have 3 months left in this year... does it mean there is a less scam and scammers in forum?
Since there is constant decrease of forum activity, its kinda logical to assume that number of scammers will decrease too, as they have less potential victims, and as you said they are moving onto more "suitable" platforms like Telegram.

Its pretty much the same situation in scam accusation board which is way less active this year than it was in 2020. Unless there are less scam busters this yeas and that's the cause of sharp decline in the amount of posts. (I know I am way less active on that front than I was before).

4337  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Busting rule-breakers constantly. on: September 12, 2021, 08:09:10 AM
@mods that are following this thread.

Yesterday I reported low value thread called 7 crypto acronyms you need to know as it was just a copy/paste of an article without providing any personal opinion. Report has been marked as good, but it's still there so I guess that you just forgot to delete it. Looking at @Nathrixxx seems like that is his MO, and more of a rule than an exception.

4338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My hardware store now accepts Bitcoin! on: September 12, 2021, 07:18:21 AM
OP haven't responded with detailed information in any of his topics (I take it with a grain of salt), that's why I asked.
+1

I don't want to be a party pooper, but whole this story about him owning a hardware store and implementing LN payments in a couple of hours seems like a bullshit to me. On top of that, allegedly people immediately started paying via LN.

I wish all this is true, but this looks to me like this guy knows what people here want to hear and fabricated this story in order to squeeze some easy merit. Wouldn't be a first newbie doing that..
4339  Other / Off-topic / Re: 7 crypto acronyms you need to know on: September 11, 2021, 09:33:50 AM
@Nathrixxx  Not a single word in your post has been written by you, as you just copy/pasted everything from that article without properly formatting the text and without adding anything of your own. Classic low value merit fishing shitpost that has been reported to the mods.
4340  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] ETHsun- cloud mining ponzi on: September 11, 2021, 09:09:57 AM
I feel like you should include this account too hyx7788(or at least a negative tag). I am pretty sure that the two accounts are owned by the same person. first she claimed that she personally visited the company and invested/bought one of the company's  investment offers.
You are right, hyx7788 deserves both tag and flag as its obviously an alt account of the @Ethsun so that has been sorted. And yeah, that story is a complete bullshit, very similar to the ones that can be found on Ethsun website.

So, here is the Flag Type 1 on @hyx7788, please support  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2833
