If anyone else is going to open an ING account, pm me your email so I can send you a referral code.  With it, if you start the account with at least $250 you get $25 free.  Oh, and I'll get $10 to spend on my bitcoin habit Smiley.

If you are referring to a doji alas "death cross" that just indicates the end of a trend. How can you say it's the end of an uptrend... where is the uptrend right now I can't see it.
Unless you are referring to the long term trend...

Are you saying we are going below 2?

there is no doji death cross is doji gravestone

http://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/deathcross.asp the X from 50 day SMA and 100 day SMA

Are you saying we are going below 2?
maybe, 5 usd/btc is more likely

It already happened over a week ago on the weighted averages.

My usual portion of my most recent paycheck is on it's way to the exchange right now.

DoS attacks are really easy against Tor hidden services. The service can't block the attacker because all clients are anonymous. Tor hidden service introduction points can sometimes also be DoS-attacked. I wouldn't use Tor to run a site like this.
Sorry, but its a bullshit. ddos attacks on Tor isnt effective because of connection latency (ping is from 1 up to infinity seconds).

Defending from attacking bots making 1 connection per second isnt a problem.

The problem is to run Tor software on large botnet for attacker.

Sorry, but that's bullshit.  Latency does not make one lick of difference if one physical computer can create as many simultaneous requests as it is capable of sending with no way for the server to detect they are from the same machine.  Now imagine 1,000 such machines and you have a very small botnet taking out silkroad.
4325  Economy / Speculation / Re: Max Keiser promotes Bitcoin on: November 10, 2012, 10:36:35 PM
He's been promoting Bitcoin for quite a while, so yes, I'm guessing he's bullish.

If you were asking if this was some kind of short term signal, then no - because it's nothing new.

As far as I remember it's only his second episode to mention it and the last was quite some time ago.  I'm not looking for a huge short term effect, more of a mid to long term, small to medium size effect.

gold and silver wont pan out as well as they planed... why? Because Bitcoin  Wink

Weird. At this point usually cypherdoc jumps in and posts something about the daaash for digital caaash.

He's travelling and likely hasn't seen the thread yet.

Do you mine with it? If so, how many mhash?

Probably about 30 Roll Eyes.

lol

i think for ever point the USD goes down bitcoin gains 2 points  Wink

it should be noted that the USD is still holding up pretty damn good despite QE3

Indeed.  DXY is above 80 and climbing.  Dollar supply may be inflating, but nominal value (measured in other currencies) is gaining because everyone else is inflating their money supply too.

DXY is based on other fiat. Horrible indicator as far as strength of a medium of exchange when all central banks are printing to infinity.

I agree, but it does indicate relative strength of various fiat currencies, which was the topic we were discussing.  As always, thanks for your contribution smoothie Wink.

4334  Economy / Speculation / Re: my intuition says: we're sitting on a rocket about to be ignited on: November 05, 2012, 05:28:05 PM
Not going to happen.

BTC will only take off once there is a killer use for it. Either mobile payments or electronic payment on the Internet. Before that, it will remain somewhat of a curiosity.

Wait, Bitcoin can't be used for electronic payment on the Internet yet?
4335  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: November 05, 2012, 02:20:39 AM
the only reason for this to go UP is the MACD daily cross over but we still have 23:18 left for this day

this is why its going up: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2012-11-04/bitcoin-seen-through-eyes-central-banker#comments
if fundamentals have anything to do with price then namecoin should have way much value compared to bitcoin and that is a awesome way to remember that all is about speculation

Namecoin needs a namespace reboot before it can be useful.
4336  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Multiple addresses at once. on: November 02, 2012, 09:33:06 PM
It would be nice if you could send to multiple adresses from the gui of the mainline client. Perhaps placing a comma between each one triggers multisend ?

Just as you can add multiple tags and labels.

The client already supports sendmany, so it shouldn't be too hard to code up the GUI support if you just want to send the same amount to everyone.  If you want to send different amounts, you probably need a set of address and amount entry box pairs.

 Huh
The client does let to send to multiple adresses at once...

Yes, I was referring to the sendmany RPC call, but as Pieter pointed out there is an "Add recipient" button on the "Send Coins" tab that makes the functionality available to GUI users.

#4. Install Flat (sales) Tax at 20%. Convert IRS into regulating entity for monitoring, collecting and reporting on income from this new tax.
Good luck. No government has ever been able to successfully enforce such a high sales tax.

Govcoin... Bitcoin, now with mandatory fees!
And 0 users.

I suppose the usual "you need it to pay taxes" doesn't hold here Tongue  Large coorporations could be forced to use it though.

the last sell is likely because MACD was about to make a bullish X on 1 day chart http://stocktwits.com/message/10303826

Somebody wants to hold off the rally a few more days.
