4321  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-12 Coindesk - Bitcoin Not a Long-Term Allocation, Says Man Group CEO on: March 18, 2021, 02:38:55 AM
And yet he considers fiat to be a long term allocation?  Who is he kidding?  Something guaranteed to lose 2-2000% of value every year.

However, who are we also kidding? The top 1% are wealthy because they have been owning everything. They do not care if the longterm allocation is in fiat or cryptocoin or something else. They own everything, the products you buy, the banks you use, the people in government you vote and later also bitcoin’s market will be controlled by them.
4322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 17, 2021, 03:49:37 AM
@Welsh. What was his excuse? Did he also drink too much wine for this fight hehehe?

The hype is over for Adesanya, I reckon. The challenge was a notable decision, however, it was a bad career decision to challenge Jan.

@notblox1. Follow coronavirus cases after the fight hehehe.

It looks like some curse of UFC main events started after last week Sterling performance, but this time we had serious eye injury for Belal and I think it's time for new gloves to reduce chances for something like this repeating.
Eryk Anders vs Darren Stewart was also no contest this time, but we had a nice performance from Ryan Superman Spann and Dan Ige with their KOs.
What kind of new gloves you are proposing, they cannot have a glove that will restrict their movements as grappling and ground game is involved and if they already had some innovated gloves then they should introduce them as the eyes of Belal Muhammad looked nasty as if someone shot him in the eye.

Next week we have Kevin Holland and Derek Brunson in the main event, do you think it will have he same fate of a no contest . My bet is on Kevin Holland but lets see whether it will be a no contest or disqualification Grin.

New gloves proposed for uncle Dana hehehehe.

4323  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-03 Analyst says Tesla made a Profit of US$1-Billion after Buying Bitcoin on: March 17, 2021, 02:19:43 AM
@Sithara007. Tesla could do this, Microstrategy’s Michael Saylor is presently doing it and leveraged traders are in a similar situation, however, doing it would be taking in more risk on you and the investment. If bitcoin went from $3000 to more than $56k because of loaned funds and leveraged trading then it would only take some time before a deleveraging event occurs.
4324  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-12 Coindesk - Bitcoin Not a Long-Term Allocation, Says Man Group CEO on: March 17, 2021, 01:45:06 AM
@acquafredda. Hehe I also understand what you are telling everyone. News media sites have a way of deforming the real story for clickbait and reactions.

In any case, this Man Group CEO is correct if considering the price of bitcoin at present. However, if he bought bitcoin on 2015, he would be telling us a different story hehehehe.
4325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk and Zach Kirkhorn to be known with New titles on: March 17, 2021, 12:37:51 AM
I strive to reach that point where I'm so rich that I could just do extraordinarily dumb(but cool) things like this without giving a crap about the government.

In any case, does everyone know why Elon Musk is doing this? I speculate that this funny news might only be a distraction. There were articles that Chinese regulators have summoned Tesla last month.
I'm guessing it's publicity. Tesla got most of it's publicity from Elon's meme-ish personality as it's said that they don't pay for any traditional advertising, and it's working really REALLY well.

I am skeptical. His meme-ish tweets on dogecoin and presently this funny news about new company titles always coincides with something negative that has occured with Tesla in China.

Tesla’s stock is also beginning to go down.

Tesla says car accident caused by 'wet ground', mocked by Chinese netizens

The Tesla car bumped into a metal wall at a construction site, with the owner saying that the vehicle skidded and it was hard to put on the brakes.

"Combined with on-the-spot investigation and the scene photos provided by the owner, it can be seen that there is a large amount of sand and gravel on the ground, and it is muddy due to a large amount of water. It is preliminarily judged that the accident is mainly caused by the wet ground and the slight amplitude when the owner first stepped on the brake pedal, resulting in a longer braking distance. No failure of the accelerator pedal, brake system and drive unit was found in the whole testing process," Tesla statement posted on Sina Weibo read.

But a majority of Chinese netizens did not buy the explanation. Some mocked at the car company, saying "Tesla is always innocent!"

4326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Poll Added] FURY vs JOSHUA: A Two Fight Deal Has Already Been Signed !! on: March 16, 2021, 04:01:56 AM
It appears that everyone is behind the hype of Fury hehe.

I reckon this is what boxing promoters should be doing. Match the world’s best versus each other in a superfight. The coronavirus pandemic might have also caused this also because of falling income hehehe. I speculate the promoters might also do Terrence Crawford versus Errol Spence for 2021.
4327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: March 16, 2021, 03:25:28 AM
@yazher. It did not appear to be hype from Dana White. He was asked by the interviewer on his thoughts on the boxing match and Dana’s argument was that Ben Askren was a collegiate wrestler and an MMA fighter while Jake Paul is only a youtuber.

It was Snoop Dogg’s challenge that turned this into hype by sportsnews media. I like it hehehe. I did not much like Tyson versus Jones Jr., however this one I will watch.
4328  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-14 Insider - A new wave of institutional interest has boosted bitcoin on: March 16, 2021, 02:56:32 AM
Are you waiting for a big burst to buy lower or do you simply want bitcoin to fall lower than this? I do not understand your point view because whenever I post an article you often talk about a bubble than need to burst. Is the bbc preventing you to buy btc?  Grin Grin Grin

Are you telling me that there is no bubble? I am only saying that we should be ready for the bear market. We should be realists because there will always be those people who will buy on the all time high only to see their investment lose money.

@BayAreaCoins. Agreed. The mempool has never been always this high with unconfirmed transactions before.
4329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk and Zach Kirkhorn to be known with New titles on: March 16, 2021, 02:36:53 AM
I'll slide that right next to "Grower of Hair Otherwise Already Lost" and "Namer of Children to Bestow Preordained Bullying". But back to being serious, Master of Coin isn't actually a fanciful new title, if I can believe the old games I used to play, where CFOs in companies were... masters of coin;)

I'm not jealous anyway. I'm a Legendary here. Hooyah.

I like the master of coin title. It is very Game of Thronesy hehehe.

In any case, does everyone know why Elon Musk is doing this? I speculate that this funny news might only be a distraction. There were articles that Chinese regulators have summoned Tesla last month.
4330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 15, 2021, 03:45:15 AM
@7788bitcoin. I speculate that Kevin Holland might only be another hyped fighter similar to the other Derek Brunson victim, Edmen Shahbazyan who is managed and very much hyped by Ronda Rousey hehehe.
4331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: March 15, 2021, 02:47:36 AM
Dana White wants to bet 1 million dollars on Ben Askren win in fight against Jake Paul, and he said it in public on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast, and I would agree with him.
Listen 20-ish minute long interesting interview:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlEanMtx0vc

Rapper Snoop Dogg has challenged uncle Dana for a bet of $2 million hehehe. I speculate that Dana might be betting on the loser for this fight. Ben Askren’s punches appeared to be one of the slowest in MMA.

“Hey Dana White, I see you got faith in your boy right? Going up against my guy Jake,” Snoop said per TMZ. “You say you got a million? You’re the CEO of UFC. You got more than a million. Put up TWO. Put up $2 million and we’ll match it.”

In anycase, Ben Askren is training with Freddy Roach hehehehehe. There might be hope for this kid.

Boxing legend Freddie Roach is a busy man, and his next mixed martial arts fighter to train is Ben Askren in preparation for his big fight with Jake Paul.

Quote
Bitcoin regained its composure this week to jump to a record high above $60,000, with many analysts pointing to a new wave of institutional interest as the driver.
Goldman Sachs restarting its crypto desk, JPMorgan launching a "crypto exposure" product, and crypto firm NYDIG raising money from Morgan Stanley and others are the latest signs of growing interest in bitcoin.
Skeptics argue that bitcoin is too volatile for investors to start buying in any meaningful quantities and has next to no use value, putting it in line for another collapse.
But a rising number of firms are testing the crypto-waters. Bitcoin enthusiasts argue that "this time is different" for the world's biggest cryptocurrency, because big-name firms are supporting the price and lending legitimacy to the project.

A nice recap of what happened lately in the bitcoin / institutional investors world. Among the plethora of nonsensical articles that can be found in the MSM this one is quite good.

The optimistic news certainly gives a nice feeling when we read them, however, we should not let our awareness on the market decline. Enjoy the price pumps but be ready for the bear that pounces without announcement.

Market bubbles have always been created and have always later burst in time.
4333  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-12 Coindesk - Bitcoin Not a Long-Term Allocation, Says Man Group CEO on: March 15, 2021, 01:13:09 AM
@acquafredda. However, the service of traders as liquidity providers for bitcoin and the whole cryptospace should be acknowledged as positive. There should also be more of them to provide more liquidity and more price stability for the users.
4334  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance under CFTC investigation over trading activities on: March 14, 2021, 09:13:04 AM
Not just 'Binance actually. After Bitmex, every exchange would be on their toes to make sure they're not allowing US citizens to go trade on their platforms. Can't imagine they still would let them though. I think VPN users aren't a good reason for US regulators apparently. Hello strict KYC at some point I guess?

Agreed. However the American government cannot take down all the exchanges at once. Different government agencies will take down only one at a time and I reckon it will be the biggest one to scare all the other exchanges.
4335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: March 14, 2021, 08:30:16 AM
@South Park. However, it was also mentioned by other news articles that Bill Belichick still is looking for a quarterback despite extending Cam Newton for another year. Jimmy Garoppolo was also mentioned to be wanted by the Patriots.

This is disappointing. I was speculating that Cam would transfer to the Redskins to be with Ron Rivera again and Garoppolo to be with Belichick again.
4336  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: March 13, 2021, 06:23:11 AM
I reckon that this might be the best time for sportsbooks to begin promoting other cryptocoins for lower fees for its users. Bitcoin’s mempool has never been this consistently high and transactions consistently expensive before. There is no fix for this except less usage.
4337  Economy / Exchanges / Binance under CFTC investigation over trading activities on: March 13, 2021, 05:01:43 AM
This is the type of harrasment that this American government does to try the service and if they can find something to use as pressure against the service. Wait for the SEC and the IRS to come after binance.us also. I speculate Binance is next target after Bitmex?

Crypto exchange Binance is reportedly being investigated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) over concerns surrounding whether it allowed U.S. investors on the platform.

According to a Bloomberg report on Friday, which cited anonymous sources, the CFTC is seeking to determine whether Binance has allowed residents in the U.S to buy and sell crypto derivatives products while not being registered under the government agency's oversight. The report noted that the exchange "hasn't been accused of wrongdoing."

4338  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-02-12] Cramer Thinks Every Corporate Treasurer Should Be Thinking Bitcoin on: March 13, 2021, 03:51:23 AM
@cr1776. It might be correct for a company to put a very small portion in bitcoin for their treasury, however, 20-40% as protection against inflation might put themselves on a wrong position. Bitcoin behaves like a penny stock. They should only hold bitcoin because it is presently a good investment during this bull market. CEOs who become maximalists might lose their job during the bubble burst hehehe.
4339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: March 13, 2021, 01:41:47 AM
@KIZILAGA. I reckon it is not seen as a theat presently, however, I predict after 2 more bitcoin halvings everyone might begin to see the purpose of Grin’s monetary policy. Wei Dai saw it. I do not know why many of the smart people in the cryptospace avoid this issue.
4340  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-02-12] Cramer Thinks Every Corporate Treasurer Should Be Thinking Bitcoin on: March 12, 2021, 04:47:25 AM
I keep repeating myself, I know, this whole US dollar addiction is not turning good.

The cryptospace will also be having its own addiction hehehe. It will be in stablecoins and the storyline for this is beginning. Cryptonews media will begin to praise undercollaterized stablecoins and criticize overcollaterized stablecoins. They might have forgotten the undercollateralization lessons from the 2008 credit crisis hehehehe.

“We are basically trying to say, ‘What’s good about Tether and what’s good about MakerDAO?’ and take the good things,” he said. The mistakes the team wants to avoid repeating include “Tether being opaque and MakerDAO being governance-heavy and over-collateralized.”

Variant Fund’s Jesse Walden said its modest governance scope and less-weighty collateralization make FEI “more socially and financially scalable.”
