4321  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy bitcoins with prepaid visa. on: March 08, 2017, 12:52:02 AM
You're going to be paying a pretty high premium to use one of those sites such as LBC or Paxful, which I do highly recommend as you're not going to be scammed on those sites. I think paying the premium is well worth it in order to use those sites.

As being a former seller on Paxful, I've noticed that the amount of BTC you're going to be getting from the seller (percentage wise) is going to depend on the time of the day in which you iniate the order. So, go on mid-day for people in the US as that's usually the best time to go and save the most money.

Coinmama, Cex.io and Virwox are all good service for this.

Aren't you going to need to be verified for all these?
4322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help me to push my transaction 5 days unconfirm on: March 08, 2017, 12:06:37 AM
Best bet is probably going to use one of those sites such as Via BTC tx accelerator which is going to put your TX in their pool in order to verify the transaction. As the service has gotten more and more popular, it's probably going to be something that is full at the moment (as they do fill at 100 TX per hour) and you're probably going to have to try to input the TX a couple times on the site.

I attempted to run it through but the max has been hit so I'd check on an hourly basis to see if you can get it, and good luck with the transaction!
4323  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Miner is not available right now on: March 07, 2017, 11:11:25 PM
Not going to be worth it and even if you can get something like that working on your computer through other means, it's just going to be a waste of money in general. I'd recommend on mining alt-coins such as XMR, Z-Coin, ETH, and so on.

This all depends on electricity cost, graphics card and a couple other facts. But putting it simply, mining with your GPU isn't going to do anything for you anymore just mine an alt-coin and be happy with the extra money if gives you.

I also recommend NiceHash to mine with, pretty simple and they pay in BTC instead of having to go through loops to convert ALTCOINS into BTC
4324  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WikiLeaks publishes "biggest ever leak of secret CIA documents" on: March 07, 2017, 10:03:44 PM
Anyone who doesn't expect Them to have the capability to help themselves your smartphone, tv, computer etc is a bleedin' moron.

Of course they'll be able to do that. If you don't like it then junk it all and go retro. Even if the CIA isn't listening to you, the manufacturers themselves clearly state that they'll monitor all the things you get up to.

It even goes further, google is required by law to give data about specific IP's search info's and more to the CIA.

Everything you do is tracked and probably saved somewhere. All your only purchases. All your locations. All your webvisits.

I strongly believe windows 10 has integrated backdoors in their operating system aswell.

Online privacy is something that is starting to disappear more and more, its sad to see, but i believe there's not much that we can do to stop it. We have no tools nor power.

Yeah the whole Windows has a backdoor and some other revelations were made in the last release, I think it was something related to Vault7? It seem pretty scary to know that the govenment CAN at any point go into our computers and have no issue getting into them at all.

I guess all the stuff that Microsoft puts out such as BitLocker and all these other encryption tools are just to ease your mind while the government is simply watching without an issue. I think the only way of security is going to have to be going off the grid and using these devices to the minimum, use burner phones and so on.

It's tough to do, but lets all at least thank WikiLeaks for making this knowledge to us all.
4325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ETF POLL APPROVAL / REJECTION on: March 07, 2017, 09:26:04 PM
We follow the same path when it comes to this ETF all the time, people here go ahead and get really optimistic about it getting approved by the SEC and then reference reasons as to why it'll be approved which they think is solid evidence. I personally don't think this is going to get approved by the SEC, even with the entrance of President Donald J Trump and a more business friendly approach I think the SEC is going to play it safe.

With the current volatility of Bitcoin and the ease of arbitrage on all of the exchanges when the ETF actually goes ahead and launches, I just don't think it'll be possible for it to stay at the same level of risk as all of the other ETF's on the market.
4326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is treated a stock on: March 07, 2017, 08:39:33 PM
Bitcoin at the moment is having a high intensive usage when it comes to people using it for trading on a daily basis in order to make money off of it. I'll have to say it is nice having people interested in our little work of art here, but I'd rather not have less people adopt people based on high volatility because the traders would like to make some good money off this on a daily time-frame.

Personally, I'd rather have less liquidity and a more stable price then a very high amount of liquidity and a crazy volatile price that can allow you to lose all of your money (USD) in bitcoin within an hour.

Bitcoin isn't a stock. It is an asset and if the ETF things gets approved then the wallstreet guys will try to make it a stock. In my opinion, Bitcoin can't be called a stock because the wallstreet people will try to put a different ticker symbol on Bitcoin instead of BTC, so that isn't BTC anymore -it's a whole new thing.
It's kind of like how some people did that XBT from BTC, it just doesn't look the same. Bitcoin is just code.

With the amount of trading that occurs, and the amount of more trading that is going to occur with the (maybe?) approval of the ETF it's going to be treated like a stock more and more and there's nothing we can do about others ambitions.
4327  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: March 07, 2017, 06:46:25 PM
I wouldn't put it as a hatred for all Atheists for Religion, as simply some of them just don't believe in all of this stuff occurring at some point or they don't think there is enough evidence to back all of the claims that a certain religions makes.

There are some things that may make someone become an Atheists and really hate a religion which they had been devoted to at one point which could be some sort of abuse by the religion in question (be it any crime, molestation, hitting, etc) When the stories broke about the Catholic's Church's problem with covering up molestation of children by the priests within their organization many people came out and sad that they hated the Church and couldn't believe in god after all of this.

How could you follow a religion with people inside of it that allow stuff like this to happen but yell at YOU for not coming to church on Sunday.
4328  Other / Politics & Society / Trumps Travel Ban? (Round 2) on: March 07, 2017, 03:55:37 PM
Trump just put forward his executive action on the Travel Ban, and as we all know the first one faced legal blockade from the 9th circuit of Appeals. Instead of Trump going forward and making an appeal up to the supreme court (Without a clear majority) he went forward and changed a couple things on the executive action and put a new one in order.

Jeffrey Toobin, one of CNN's senior legal analysts and contributors feels that the 2nd time's a charm for Trumps executive action, and I will have to agree with the Very Fake News organization for one of the first times in my life.

What do y'all think of the fate of the Travel Ban?

4329  Other / Politics & Society / Re: DONALD TRUMP WILL BE AMERICA'S MOST FAMOUS PRESIDENT on: March 07, 2017, 01:43:33 PM
Based on his name alone, minus all of the things he does that is controversial and hated by the left already set him up to be the most famous and remembered president based on many factors. His name itself was something that was already a household name for his big Real Estate Empire, plus the fact of his TV show and so on.

Once he started to challenge the Republican establishment and come out and tell the people how the "silent majority" felt was the point in which he really popped in terms of really being remembered and fame.

I do think Donald Trump will be a very famous person in the history of American politics. How long has he been president? Barely three months and he's trending on global news each day . If anyone thinks different about this, he or she should feel free to reply to this topic.

Whether he will be remembered in infamy by future generations or as a person misunderstood by the times still remains to be seen. It really does depend on if they actually get things done that help people over-all even if it creates chaos in the mid-term.
Anyone that is challenging and breaking the status-quo is always going to bring about controversy.

Tons of controversy, but I personally think I'd rather have controversy then nothing based on the sheer fact of if he isn't involved in controversy what is he doing to hide what he's doing at the moment? It's not like we heard a ton of problems about the Obama administration but things are coming to light now, sadly.
4330  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Have you ever known anybody who was robbed by police? on: March 07, 2017, 01:32:52 AM
This is one of the things that isn't really highly publicizied based on the sheer fact that it's going to be something that doesn't have much evidence relating to it and not much backing it. I'm not going to say that all cops do these kind of crimes based on the fact that they're usually not going to be caught but it's something they can easily get away with, with ease.

Who is going to attempt to fight all of the resources of the Police Department from their state, county, and so on when all they're fighting on is a he said she said kind of thing which we all know doesn't hold up in court for shit. The only thing you may get lucky on if this officer has a lot of reports of doing this crime which may end up having some people take the claim seriously.

Then again, who reports a crime committed by the police?
4331  Other / Politics & Society / Re: You eat pork you look like pork on: March 07, 2017, 12:19:01 AM
This is something that has to be fully looked down upon by the Muslim community or it's something that is just going to continue to thrive, I've seen many religions come out against doing these types of things to women and I personally haven't seen anyone high up from the Muslim religious community come out against this.

It's something that has to be addressed in order for the Muslim religion to be able to be allowed to thrive and not experience as much hate as they already have from people in the world today. Disgusting to see a man doing this terrible stuff to a women like this.
4332  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Facebook now requiring photo id, fuck you facebook on: March 06, 2017, 09:23:22 PM
Sounds like something pretty dumb for Facebook to do but in all honesty I would make sure to look into more things before you go ahead and believe the_donald sub Reddit. I'm a fire supporter in them and I actually monitor the sub-Reddit daily as I do support President Trump but you must always go ahead and verify your facts (cheeky, hehe)

I think the whole verification of your account is used if you'd like to get into your account when you don't have any access anymore, it's something that's used to protect the account owner from a hacker attempting to impersonate them. As I do think it is a bit much for security's sake I can understand the outrage but I do see Facebooks side in wanting to protect people.

Final Verdict, it has its good and bad sides to it.
4333  Other / Off-topic / Re: just spitballing on: March 06, 2017, 07:48:57 PM
I don't know anyone dumb enough to pay $30 for someone to mail their friend a meme, it's just a wildly dumb service that isn't going to profit you in the least. I guess you didn't notice that people use phones, emails, social media, and so on. So you won't be getting any larger orders as the service is dumb and I would just avoid it entierly.

You might be kind of hard pressed to find a market for people willing to give you Bitcoin just to send memes to someone, but I guess it is possible to make money off of it.

The biggest thing I see here is that you're charging $30 for a postcard. Charge something like $5 or $10 with mail included and you might have some people interested in it.

While it's always better to make more money when possible, $30 for a postcard (resulting in $28 of profit) is going to be next to impossible to justify.

Going to second this, drop the price down and maybe do something original with how you present and you MAY (low chance) make some money off of it.
4334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitPesa uses Bitcoin for remittance in Africa. Is $0.57 fee expensive? on: March 06, 2017, 02:23:26 PM
When comparing these fees to the ones that Western Union force people into paying really doesn't even compare as WU and all those other services which are present in developing nations are 10x more and still tackle on other fees along the way. Unless these people are transferring super low, and I mean gruesomely low paychecks to people in Africa then they should be fine.

Feel bad for the new people who want to use bitcoin for everything online and end up noticing that went they bought this cheap item it now costs another .57 cents due to the fact that no one can decide on a scaling solution, it's fucked up.

4335  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I have a better solution to the illegal alien issue. Let's jail the employers. on: March 06, 2017, 05:01:39 AM
Don't think you can get much harsher on the illegals than kicking them out of a country they call home, that they helped to support, while not giving them their stuff when you kick them out. I guess the next step from that is taking them out back and shooting them in the head, lol. So no. We have done quite enough with the laws concerning how to punish illegals. Hell, we just enhanced the laws, bigly. I'm talking about us (well, not us per se, I don't know if you do but I no longer own a business). The asshats that hire them.

But yes, the people that hire them should be deported as well. Or jailed. But only if a crime is committed (owners should not be punished if they unknowingly hire an illegal, they lie too LOL. Im not Anti American one bit. It's fucking awesome here. But when you have guys paying cash to guys that don't even have an ID, and avoiding taxes, yes, throw the book at them. Insert it in their ass, to the spine at least. The oblong way.

I guess I am essentially asking that in order for this directive against illegal immigration to be valid, we should place as much emphasis of enforcement on catching crooked business owners as catching illegals themselves. Because to me, if you cracked down on the Americans perpetuating this, suddenly there would be little incentive to come here illegally. And it's much cheaper to enforce, saving my tax money. Kill the head. Not the hands.

Makes sense, but it's something that is going to face a good amount of fight when it comes to the amount of lobbying from companies that probably have an interest in allowing a good amount of their wages to go and to stay off the books. It's sad to admit that it's a problem here in the mind of Americans as they'd love to save a buck by paying an illegal 1/4th of what an American citizen would get but it's something they do here.

Maybe just make the punishments harsher with on second offense you're added to a watchlist and given some sort of prison sentence?
4336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: let's push the btc etf on: March 06, 2017, 01:40:32 AM
Highly doubt the SEC is going to really care about the people from the bitcoin community, they're going to care about the people that own them which are the big banks who are paying them tons and tons of money in order to make sure they turn the blind eye to downright corruption and unethical business practices done by these banks in order to gain more and more profits.

We'll see very soon if the people from the banks want this to happen, because if they do it will allow us to be able to easily purchase our stake in bitcoin through an ETF. If not, then that's that and the ETF will go into oblivion.

Pretty sad to see a decision done like this but this is how it works.
4337  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [VOUCH] How to get FREE 15 VPS monthly! 2017 WORKS! on: March 06, 2017, 12:38:38 AM
Don't know if you're still allowing people to be able to get the free vouch copies but if so I'd be up for using it and writing a review on the VPS' once received. Seems like you've got some good information here based on the amount of peoples interest but as you know trust is low when it comes to stuff like this in longevitiy.

Will be awaiting your PM.
4338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Success Leading to Doom? on: March 05, 2017, 11:32:56 PM
There is going to be a reason in order for people to run nodes if people would really like to see the mass adoption of bitcoin in the future. It's something that people do in order to help the cause of bitcoin but at this point the entire ledger is around 100GB and they don't really see a reason to waste 1/10th of a TB on my pc in order to run a node.

Some people, may want to do it out of the goodwill of their hearts, but most are going to want some sort of incentive in order to run a node so they feel like they'r at least getting something out of it in exchange for their hardware.

I feel this is the biggest issue with bitcoin today and it must be addressed.
4339  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is US election really get hacked? on: March 05, 2017, 11:08:13 PM
The claim was not based on the U.S election actually being hacked, it was based on the DNC being hacked in order to give Trump an advantage over the democratic nominee for President, Hilary Clinton. People don't seem to care about the intense and disgusting corruption that was present in the Democrats process of picking their nominee by undermining the competition and giving Clinton a high chance of winning.

Not only this, but the blame on all of this has shifted to the Russians wanting to put in Trump as the President of the United States. Not only has no evidence really surfaced relating to this but the Democrats are going to keep jumping on this train until they can win an election (hopefully they can't)

Dems have a tough 2018 with Congress and Senate elections, I wish them the worst!
4340  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I have a better solution to the illegal alien issue. Let's jail the employers. on: March 05, 2017, 09:26:29 PM
I think fines are already given to employers who do this unknowingly, as they hire these people off the books without any documentation on their side. If their is false documentation that's another story but that's going off the story of the topic here.

This is something that can already lead to jail time if their is a pattern seen and a motive to keep hiring these people with around 6 months in jail according to the site in which I was looking at. Some of the more severe punishments include Criminal of Civil fines and may lead to the loss of business licenses that are needed to keep the business running.

This is something which is already here so I'm going to be guessing that you're attempting to call for more harsh penalties being instilled for hiring illegals and more oversight as to companies doing it which I'll 110 percent agree with doing this.
