4321  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Recent Drop Below $60K Is Not Worrisome, Analyst Says on: November 20, 2021, 11:51:40 AM
Easier to say for the whales who are in it for the long term, but any body buying for the first time and price dips below the $60k which as long been difficult price barrier to break it can actually be worrisome tbh . But with scalpers this is nothing new as many would have sold at its all time high and bought again at its current dip making the double profit when price recovers and a more profitable strategy to undertake if you asked me . Btw this was  unavoidable because momentum was not anchoring on any thing like some big news.
4322  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [11-15-2021]WSJ - Bitcoin Creator Satoshi Nakamoto Could Be Unmasked at FL Trial on: November 20, 2021, 08:22:12 AM
Quote
The family of David Kleiman (via his estate) is suing Craig S Wright for half of the bitcoin that satoshi mined in bitcoin's early days
This just got a whole lot interesting, not that am taking Wrights side, but what happens if the court does pass a ruling in favor of David Kleiman family....will Craig honor the courts demand to share the loot which if converted in usd is quite a lot of benjamins!!

I hope  Craig S Wright will put this topic to rest after hurting his pocket, because the man just doesn't know when to stop when he has failed to prove his ill gotten identity.

WSJ should be ashamed for writing an article like this.  Attempting to get as many clicks as possible or not, they are giving Craig credibility which is a shame.

This is nothing more than a click bait scheme by WSj and they know it because running such a story can easily bring them some traffic, and possibly subcribers for their services.

4323  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC rise to 1 million US dollars? on: November 19, 2021, 11:47:22 PM
Of course it can, remember there can only exist 21 million bitcoins ever and i believe 80% of them have already been mined. And at the rate people are developing interest into cryptocurrencies the demand will be too great such that price will be pushed up to be able to accommodate the new entrants  to the ecosystem. Btw the moment all are mined supply becomes the constant and the only variables we shall have are demand and price and demand seems to be the deterring factor at the moment ...i don't see price slowing down once we get all 21 million coins into circulation.
4324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 19, 2021, 11:34:12 PM
The Peps have announced that Kevin De Bruyne has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus while in Belgium and that he will be quarantined for ten days. Manchester City's next 10 games will be against Everton, Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham respectively! The absence of Kevin De Bruyne is certain. Although that is bad news, Man City and Pep always have options. As far as I understand, City don't rely on individuals. City has performed better without him so far.
This is sad news, De Bruyne been quite a great addition this season and having to play without him for probably more than two weeks will be a blow on the team, but i trust Pep still has the players to fill his position...maybe an opportunity for Raheem to get more game time before we know his fate whether his going to be leaving Manchester City for Barcelona or he will stick around.

https://football-italia.net/ibrahimovic-to-sign-new-milan-contract/

There have been some speculations like Zlatan Ibrahimovic is going to extend his contract with Milan soon. His contract ends this summer normally. But Zlatan doesn't seem like he is thinking of retiring any time soon. He is expecting to play one more year at Milan. And after that, maybe we will even still see him at different clubs. Despite his being 40 years old, nothing changes for him. He is still very fit and strong and he is very hungry to play. Who knows when he will decide to retire.
One thing about football and age, is don't force people to do what they aren't comfortable to do, if his not ready to hang his boots keep him on the pitch, the time will come when he feels his contributed greatly to the game of football and Zlatan still has it in him!
4325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is the long-term investment in Altcoins? on: November 19, 2021, 06:04:04 PM
I think for tokens that have been bought right from a token sale(  ICO or IEO) i think long term holding is the way to go because sometimes price actually drops way below its initial price and recovery takes quite a while to get back, so before all this happens we have to be ready to hodl for a while , and when price is back where it all started then we reset our timers for the x100 or x1000 target gains which are the usual targets for altcoins.

currently there seems to be a lot of bearish sentiments on the markets and if you could wait for a little longer, you should be able to pick up much

cheaper coins than they are. But at current  price of $56k it is not a bad price either as we know it has potential to jump back at its all time high($65k),

which is a 16% gain waiting to be picked up if you enter now.
4329  Economy / Speculation / Re: will we witness year end bullrun or bull trap? on: November 19, 2021, 06:57:21 AM
if price was going to close & hold above $60k i would say we might have continued being in the bullish phase, but closing below $60k and even seeing $56k this soon is certainly a bull trap! But the good news is what we have is one naughty and wild bull that cant be contained in the lower ranks, sooner or later it will recover and continue its bull run... as the drop is inevitable in helping build momentum using the catapult effect.

But for the end of year a close above $65k should put us on the right track.
4330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is burning coins good on: November 18, 2021, 11:05:39 PM
Well explained @hazak  Cool but what I don't understand is why projects have a very large pool of coins in the first place...Do the devs overvalue these projects & expect to sell all these coins and also get the green light to go with inflated numbers of tokens Huh .Its only when the sale doesn't go as planned do they resort to balance the figures, because the issued tokens compared to the unissued is way below their target and burning some allows for value addition to existing coins and also stimulates demand around the crypto users.
4331  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-11-18] IRS sees crypto seizures totalling billions of dollars in 2022 on: November 18, 2021, 09:27:35 PM
The Internal Revenue Service could seize cryptocurrency valued at billions of dollars that’s linked to tax fraud and other crimes in the coming year, according to a key agency official.

The IRS seized $3.5 billion worth of cryptocurrencies during fiscal year 2021, a figure that accounted for 93% of all the assets seized by tax enforcement that year, according to an IRS criminal investigation annual report published Thursday.

“I expect a trend of crypto seizures to continue as we move forward into fiscal year ‘22,” IRS Criminal Investigation Chief Jim Lee said on a call with reporters. “We’re seeing crypto involved in a number of our crimes as we move forward.”

In the past year, the IRS’s criminal unit seized billions of dollars worth of Bitcoin and other virtual currencies, including $1 billion stolen from the Silk Road, an online Bitcoin exchange that was shut down in 2013. The unit also prosecuted a former Microsoft Corp. software developer who used cryptocurrency to hide $10 million he embezzled from the company.

Congress recently granted the IRS more ability to surveil cryptocurrency transactions in the infrastructure package President Joe Biden signed into law on Monday. That law will require crypto brokers to track and report transactions to the IRS in an effort to give tax authorities more visibility into virtual currency trades.

4332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: November 18, 2021, 06:16:34 PM
There is still a high competition in the Group C now while there are two games left to the end of the group games. There is only a three-point gap between the leader Napoli and the team at the last place which are Spartak Moscow. And exactly one week later, Spartak Moscow are going to be playing a home game against Napoli. Their previous game ended by the victory of S. Moscow by 3-2 away. But while there is a critical situation in the group, I don't expect Napoli to make a big mistake. I think they will take revenge on S. Moscow and get comfortable about their lead.

^ Yes, Napoli should win easily against Moscow. As Napoli is a far better team than Moscow in my opinion. And their performance proves it has they have done well in both UEFA league and Serie A. In UEFA League they are in the first part of the group and in Serie A they are also in the first place.
like @CLS63 said, there is only a gap of three-points between 1st and last and any team that fancies their chances of progressing, needs to take the 6 points from the last 2 matches....and just this alone is a match stick to light the fire all both teams! BTW, If Napoli aren't going to throw all the have into the pitch, they could have a shock of their lives by being knocked out after having started off with a slight advantage as of today, but with they expereince they have i dont think they will mess this up.
4333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: November 18, 2021, 04:18:31 PM
Marca newspaper published news that will go unnoticed and no one will care about it, and I wanted to pass it on to you out of knowledge.
“Gareth Bale will miss 3 weeks for a calf injury.” May God help Ancelotti on this shock.
The good thing for Madrid is that they are not relaying on Bale much thus season but still he can be lethal sometimes when he us fit.
The fact that Bale is not as instrumental as he was a few seasons ago when they formed the BBC(Benzema, Bale, Cristiano), i don't think Ancelotti will be put on the spot light for not having a replacement for Bale who has picked up a calf injury....and he certainly will get away with it!

Benzema alongside Vincious were good pair upfront this season and that is why the reason for Madrid are still on the league race.
This dual has been very key and i see them picking up the action where they left off from provided non of them get an injury, they should be able to help the club to be crowned champions.
4334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: November 18, 2021, 11:12:16 AM
So far Xavi's problem is that don't have the forward qualified on the front, Luuk de jong is underperforming while lord Braithwaite and Aguero are still having problems with stamina. what he can do now is work which exists team, that makes him thinking what formation he can use.
There is not much reason to say Barcelona can win the match unless Depay, Coutinho and Dembele play well throughout the match. Depay shone with his country where he has now scored several goals during the world cup qualifiers while Dembele has not been able to fully give hope as he has only had a few minute after recovering from injury. I hope for some good news ahead of the game, but let's see what Xavi and the players can do when they meet Espanyol this week.
its safe to say Depay is currently at his peak of his career and will perform to his best of his abilities to help Barcelona to win games... on one condition which is : he must not be injured anytime soon, but i cant say the same for Coutinho and Dembele . Btw Xavi heading the time could have an effect of change of mindset for the boys and this fixture against Espanyol should bring another win for the team.

There is less than one week left for the Barcelona - Benfica match. Barcelona have made an important change lately. They have brought Xavi to the team as their manager. We will see if they did the right thing or not in the future. But if Barcelona succeed in defeating Espanyol in the La Liga first, I see that they have a big chance against Benfica too. And I hope that they get better soon.

I guess this will be another great test of the team to see if the team has been patched up with this change of managers , but then again if you think about it its not the manager at fault its the players themselves who need to up their game , so nothing really has changed here  Roll Eyes. My prediction Barca 1-1 Benfica , only because of Xavi otherwise Benfica should win here....

4335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bovada removing bitcoin as payment option on: November 18, 2021, 09:03:06 AM
Maybe the removal of bitcoin to its payment options is as  a result of the drop in  bitcoin price which happened recently and also technically speaking is a lose of money on their side, so they could be trying to prevent this.

Probably due to the legality of the Bitcoin? But that's odd that they still accept other cryptocurrency, I am not a player of Bovada but as long as other cryptocurrency is allowed I think you can easily swap the mBTC you have on your account. Do they have built in exchange on their website?
But from where they are operating from thought cryptocurrencies are no enemy of the law....so i dont think this is the reason.

But are they scraping off bitcoin entirely or they will still accept deposits & withdrawals in bitcoin but not show balances in mBTC.

4337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Has Shiba Inu a bright future? on: November 17, 2021, 08:12:28 PM
For the time being yes, simply because its internet famous...twitter famous to be exact but long term i do not see it to be self sustaining if it falls out love of its new found fame on the internet. There is a saying, "you live by the sword you die by the sword" and if this depends on its internet fans sooner or later its fan base will migrate to a new coin and shiba will be left without supporters, but i could be wrong...so dont take my word for it.

I don't know if I missed a post on this, but non of you guys are commenting on the return of Dani Alves to Barcelona and btw word has it that he will be on the lowest salary to help rebuild the team and avoid what happened with Messi and the finances . Talking of Messi, rumor has it that he too will be going back to Barca, how true is this... What's with calling up players that have moved on, is this the future of football if your ex team fails to develop into a better team...players will go back to try and bail it out??
4339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Adult Entertainment Coins the next thing? on: November 17, 2021, 03:27:47 PM
Adult Entertainment Coins, interesting idea but seeing the word "adult" spells out privacy... and knowing that most new coins are all built on one of these popular blockchains  like the ethereum blockchain for instance, i dont think this can actually guarantee the needed privacy  considering most crypto users want to keep their digital footprints private and the purpose of the coin is definitely private.

To be honest, I dont see these projects taking off as the adult industry is kind of in the shadows, and the success of todays crypto projects relies on being out there and being popular!

Arsenal has Saka who is a player of great potential. Bringing Kulusevski would really be a bizarre move, Arsenal needs to strengthen in multiple positions and bringing a player to a position where you already have a strong starter in their situation would be a waste of money.
Not really a waste of money, usually such moves are meant to simulate competition among the players themselves to avoid making them to being too comfortable with the position as the player might know that the team is reliant on his sole services. And Arsenal currently showing some improvement in its form this is a commendable move imo.

Pepe is not playing because Saka is better, Kulusevski would not be playing even if they bought him - because Saka is better. Switching them around and playing one of them on the left side could be a solution, but not something that can be taken as granted.
Now with an extra man coming in, this might be a non compete at the end of the day and i would not be surprised if one of these guys wants to leave in the next transfer season to avoid being benched.
