It seems due to their hot wallet being dried, which quite concerning as it could means they uses their users' fund elsewhere, so yeah, definitely a ticking bomb waiting to explode. On the other hand, it's not a bad thing for a custodial LN provider to keep the majority of funds in cold storage. They shouldn't be inactive though when the hot wallet is empty.

As the image is loaded first here on the forum, when we get to the LoyceV website the image appears. That shouldn't matter, the image on the forum runs through ip.bitcointalk.org and has nothing to do with the above link. Not exactly. By chance I already spoke as theymos and he said the following: So if you send caching headers, this will be passed to the end-user so that their browser caches, but the forum's image proxy will never cache. The image proxy URL is different than the direct URL, so those are different cache files in your browser.

May 08 > 41.4% of transactions were non-Ordinals ~ the data shows that there are many people willing to pay high fees to move their BTC around, they are okay with paying 1 sat if they could get away with that, but when it's 500 sats/Vbyte that doesn't seem to stop them. Your data shows a large reduction in "normal" Bitcoin transactions. You can't expect everyone to stop using Bitcoin because of this spam wave, but in my opinion >50% spam is huge already! Any idea what the percentage is measured in bytes instead of transactions?
|
|
|
This usually happens when a block is found shortly after the previous block. Miners don't waste a block when they find one, even if they didn't have time to build the transactions yet.

However, have you guys ever thought that what happens if that phone never turns on the next time you want to access the Mycelium or your desired wallet on it? I'll get my seed phrase and continue. I do have a backup plan for that, I have written down the backups, private keys, and passwords on multiple papers obviously. Have you tested your backups? If you had, you wouldn't have to worry about it ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) So here's an idea for a rainy afternoon: get Iancoleman's site, get a Linux Live DVD, boot it, run from RAM, unplug your internet and close your curtains, and see if you can reproduce your funded Bitcoin address from scratch using your seed and the above tools. Then, wipe your RAM by turning it off and you don't have to worry about coin recovery anymore.

Any idea why bnb isn't working in the API? It works on the site. There are more coins that don't work in the API.

You all can now see that the fee structure is easy to manipulate. It's always been known that someone with enough money can increase transaction fees. The last block paid more than $200k in fees. At 10 minutes between blocks, that's $28M per day. What really surprises me is that some people are willing to pay $50 to create Bitcoin dust, and that this happens hundreds of thousands of times per day. How much longer are they willing to burn their money at this rate? Then again, if this current dust-ponzi-scam is created by the same people who profited billions of earliers scams (I'm thinking of the crazy ICO times), they have very deep pockets to pump and dump this thing.

What does a high transaction fee usually imply? Are we expecting a bull run coming soon, or what? Because the last time I experienced this high transaction fee, the market has been very bullish, so what is it now? Spam from greedy gullible people, see The severity of the Ordinals Attack is increasing. My 2 sats: Crazy! I have no other word for it. I've been wondering for a while what would be next after altcoins, ICOs, Forkcoins, DeFi and NFTs. I guess the next pyramid scheme is making up BS on the Bitcoin blockchain. As usual, a few people will get very rich out of this, and many people will lose money. All I can do is warn against it. Do people not understand they need some centralized service to "use" their made-up tokens, which goes against everything Bitcoin stands for? So, when they think they have this, in reality they have only Bitcoin dust!

And if AI posts become a problem, I suppose we can all sign our messages with our cryptocurrency wallets or talk in a way that AI bots cannot easily mimic. So you're saying we can adjust our way of life to hide from bots. Let's not.

can the claim be proven? I can't think of any way to prove you've deleted something. You can prove that you have something, but you can't prove that you don't have it. See the philosophical burden of proof: to know that a X does not exist would require a perfect knowledge of all things And even if a server would be audited, that doesn't guarantee it doesn't get changed later.

Please do not ever give a casino a pass because they returned a deposit and only kept player winnings. I like how Stunna handled a confirmed fraude case: I'd like to stop this right here and make clear that this is not a matter of money but rather a matter of principle. I'm happy to donate at minimum the funds involved in this claim to a charity of the community's choosing. That makes it clear they don't profit off it, and stops any accusations that they do it for the money.

Why would any spammer do that? I can only guess, but my guess is he just wants attention.

An alternative would be to set up a mining pool that only mines Bitcoin transactions. ~ Said pool will miss out tons on transaction fees will will be able to take pride in knowing that they are not screwing over the entire network that their business has been set up to serve. Short-term, they'd lose out on profit from fees. Long-term, if this madness continues, they may end up running at a loss when competing miners can afford more hardware (because they make more profit) and push the difficulty higher. The community and the developers of Bitcoin needs to move fast agains this shit.
We cant give them this freedom to do this so easily. From Bitcoin's perspective, nothing is wrong. Fees are an open market and it's working "fine". Just not for normal Bitcoin users ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Maybe we can put a more higher fee if weight more than XXXX but i dont really know how to implement this. That doesn't help: those transactions are tiny. My screenshot (yesterday) showed 328 bytes and 0.000612 BTC fee. Miners must love this. I also think they are exploting the "non censoring" politics of the BTC. they use this in their favour. True. But can that really be changed without negative side effects? @GR Sasa: I'll repeat what I wrote earlier: Read the 2 posts above yours. I've deleted your post. Read more, post less.

I received a personal message from jerry0 in which he wrote something that might explain his situation I have a hard time believing that someone with 3500 posts has never checked his profile where he can find his post history. Maybe he can make jerry0's topics his browser Home Page, he'll never have to ask a question again! The word "Ledger" occurs 91 times in his topic titles. This page also shows many topics were opened twice in a row, sometimes on different boards, sometimes on the same board. Allow me to copy some of the titles he created: Sell All Altcoins For Bitcoin? Well that shouldn't happen. But, it may be due to browser cache reasons, which is causing this situation. Try a hard reload (Shift-reload) on loyce.club/other/tmp/test.html. As the image is loaded first here on the forum, when we get to the LoyceV website the image appears. That shouldn't matter, the image on the forum runs through ip.bitcointalk.org and has nothing to do with the above link.

I think it's because of BRC-20 that was created on the bitcoin blockchain That's not true. BRC-20 doesn't exist on the Bitcoin blockchain. All it does on-chain is create dust spam, and someone else says it's worth something. It's basically the next step after anything from ICOs and Forks to DeFi and NFTs: how to use gullible people's greed to get them to hand over their money. I can already tell you many people are going to lose their money, and a few people will get very rich. Until it busts, after which they'll make up the next pump and dump scheme.

So I understand this is a bubble that will end up like all bubbles: bursting. The bad thing is that until it bursts, which you never know when, you can no longer make small transactions, like $10 or $20, unless you want to pay $5 to transfer $10. Correct. Either use LN (but funding a channel is expensive too) or some low-fee altcoin for small transactions. What happened 6 years ago? Remind me please. ICOs (Initial Coin Offering). Before that we had altcoins, after that came Forks, NFT, DeFi and other get-rich-quick-schemes. Most of them have disappeared by now.
